BPPV is the most common type of vertigo.  Although not a serious health concern, BPPV can be very troublesome and disruptive to a person’s life. FYZICAL is one of the few facilities in the region to possess the most sophisticated equipment and knowledge to accurately diagnose the type of BPPV you may suffer from.  BPPV causes brief episodes of mild to intense dizziness, vertigo and often nausea.  BPPV is usually triggered by certain changes in head position such as turning over in bed or going from laying down to sitting up.

The BITS incorporates testing and training challenges to address reaction time, memory, visual/spatial awareness, and precision of movement after injury. It tracks progress and objectively reports results so that challenges can be fine-tuned to each patient's individual areas of need. It includes a 4-stage reaction time test that was standardized as an indicator of the cognitive and motor demands necessary for driving.
