Fantastic experience: Matt was very knowledgeable and helpful. The exercises he had me do and the treatments were very helpful in reducing my pain and improving my condition! Claire is also a gem-the two of them make sure it’s never a stressful trip, you feel at ease there.

Fantastic experience: Matt Shedlock is an incredible PT who has helped me with numerous sports injuries in the 15 years I've known him. He always takes the time to identify the root cause and clearly explain the mechanism behind the injury and methods of rehab.

Fantastic experience: Jamie and Matt are very caring, knowledgeable, and helpful! I have gone to them for 2 ACL reconstructions, and had great results for both! Wonderful flexibility for appointments, and always able to reach over the phone.

Fantastic experience: I expected this to be similar to going to the chiropractor: head in a for a visit, experience short term relief, come again next week. But Matt found exactly what was off with my neck within the first visit, and even if I never went back then I think I would still feel better now. I found that PT has real expert expertise, and it's not just a list of exercises. I'm glad I started going, and though I haven't stopped yet, I think that there *is* an end and a point when my problem will be totally resolved.

Fantastic experience: I got finger pulley injury from rock-climbing. Cara, the hand specialist in NovaCare, is caring, friendly and genuinely humorous. She helped me to recover from injury faster yet in a certain way.

Fantastic experience: Matt helped me address a problem I had with continually hurting my neck by addressing multiple areas to help me with my posture in general. He did not simply address my injury and send me on my way; he got to the root of the problem to help me prevent future injury.

I have a connective tissue disorder and had to have surgery recently and they put all My concerns to bed. Noelle Lauren and Matt are an amazing team. You feel like you’re the center of their whole world while you’re there. I highly recommend taking your business to them as I have never felt more strong and stable just weeks after a major surgery.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Novacare in Oakland are friendly, knowledgeable, and beyond professional. They created a treatment plan specifically for my injury, with considerable consideration to my motion range, balance, and gait, that's had me return to activity much quicker than I thought possible. I used to roll my eyes at the idea of physical therapy, but when an injury prevents you from doing the things you enjoy, you need experts like the staff at Novacare to help you get back to it.

Positive experience: I had a shoulder injury which they healed well, but at what cost? I recommend you absolutely do not go here if you do not have insurance that they accept. I had out of network coverage, but it turns out they charge way more (about 3.5 times more) than what my insurance considers usual and customary for the region. I was willing to pay a little more because the location was close to my work, but the prices they told me I would pay were not what I eventually got billed. They gave me an estimate for each "normal visit" (they charge extra for first and last visits) that was only 55% of what they actually billed me for those visits. Further, you spend a lot of the time there doing exercises you could do at home, but they will bill you during that time for every 15 minutes. So really I recommend that you don't take their word on their costs, but absolutely get everything in writing. Their service is good if money is no object.

Fantastic experience: I've been here a lot of times over the past five years for different injuries. Matt is the best PT around because he is super smart and his goal is to get you healthy asap without needing to return for the same issue. I recommend this practice to everyone! And Lauren who does scheduling and support is also really nice and helpful!

Fantastic experience: Successfully restored my knee back to work g order.

Positive experience: I came here for four months of physical therapy for my left knee after a snowboarding accident. The physical therapy here is friendly and patient, but he juggles with different patients at the same time. Usually there's two or three other people at the facility and the PT rotates to each person. If you want individual one-on-one physical therapy this may not be your place.

Fantastic experience: Small office, it's a nice atmosphere to work on the PT for my concussion. The people are very nice and they work with the pace you can do.
