The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis: Reviews
Fantastic experience: They are the best staff of Nurses you could ever have to take care of you.Awesome place always inspiring every day.Thank you" TRISL" OT and PT Thank you so much.
Positive experience: They are OK. Make sure if you set an appointment, to be there ON TIME or they will cancel you quick and ask you to reschedule. I've used them 2x. Both times they just gave me a guide to follow at home and that was pretty much the experience I had. Service was good.
Fantastic experience: Cathy Luhman, PT, MSCS. Is the best physical therapist for anyone living with Multiple Sclerosis!
Fantastic experience: I was blessed to have been a patient of The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis 4 different occasions. In July, 2022 I recovered on the 4th floor for 2 weeks, after suffering a stage 4 pressure ulcer on my butttocks, my wound care nurse did exceptional work healing my ulcer while enjoying his music. Even when my kids were there, he welcomed them to assure my of the care he was giving while allowing them to observe his process in cleansing and wrapping my wound. In April 2023, my left leg was amputated below the knee. I stayed for 2 weeks, on the 2nd floor in May, receiving occupational as well as physical therapy. My therapist, Krista and Kelcey, as well as the other therapist made my stay very therapeutic and enjoyable. I returned again to The Rehabilitation Institute in May 2023 after I received my prosthetic where I felt quite familiar with my surroundings , even my room-mate were nice, My Nurse Ashly, was very sweet and professional, but everyone was. I returned for the third time, I was on the 3rd floor with my therapist Krisi, Natalie, and Maura. I received extensive training to help me walk with my prosthetic, as well as exercises to build muscle and classes to help with safety tips when you get home. October 2023, I returned to The Rehabilitation Institute Of St. Louis to get a tune-up. my confidence level to very low, I needed assistance when I step down or step up on the curb. I also needed help with the incline. My Blessing came again when Kristi, Maura, and Natalie were my main therapist with me and 6 days later when I left, I had more confidence then before I arrived. I am still a work in progress, but I take it one day at a time. Thank you, Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis, MO Victoria Johnson
Fantastic experience: The doctors, nurses, physical, occupational, and speech therapy team was awesome I had a great experience after I had a stroke I was a patient there from May 22, 2023 until June 22, 2023 I really enjoyed my stay great staff all the way around from the doctors, nurses, caseworkers and therapist team overall great experience
Fantastic experience: The folks at TRISL took excellent care of my mom after her stroke. The staff are attentive and friendly; I’m extremely grateful to have such a good resource in town.
Fantastic experience: As a newly amputee this facility is committed to getting you back to living life again. With my own determination and that of the determination of therapists, I have the confidence that I will walk with knowledge, the training and the awareness so to move about effectively.
Fantastic experience: There's nothing wrong with this place I'm here right now in critical condition and these nurses and staff are really good and top tier, I'm thinking these low reviews are false. I even said before I walk out of here I'm going to give this place 5 stars you guys are excellent!!!!!
Fantastic experience: My husband received the best care here. All of the nursing staff went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and well cared for. Every single person that we have encountered was pleasant and helpful. My only disappointment was that he didn’t improve as much as we had hoped as far as rehabilitation. Maybe our goals were higher than my husband could have achieved in 3 weeks? Nonetheless I give 5 stars for our experience!
Fantastic experience: Excellent rehab. Great nurses and therapy. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: The therapy team at #TRISL has been a God send since my fiancé initially had his accident Sept 2019. Ironically we also met one another and fell in love in Sept 2021 during my employment there. And we have been back twice since then and couldn't be more pleased to call many of the staff close friends.
Fantastic experience: I've can here 3 times last year (relapsing remitting MS and not what you think lol) and everyone was so nice! Especially the 4th floor
Fantastic experience: Very caring and helpful staff
Fantastic experience: I was hospitalized last year in June becuase of textbook symptoms of Guillian-Barre Syndrome and was told I was going to be transferred here the night of. I read reviews and was dreading it, and having arrived almost at midnight I couldn't get any sleep because of that.. I spent almost two month at this establishment and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. My primary doctor, the therapist and everyone who attended to me was out of this world. Everyone was nice and polite to both me and my SO when she visited me during their hours. An amazing place for sure.
Positive experience: Costs too much out of pocket. Better have good medical insurance!
Fantastic experience: Great personal care and food was delicious.
Fantastic experience: Great nurses and great therapists. Got me ambulatory after bein bedridden for a month. Nurse Lien (I hope I spelled that right lol) was awesome and hopefully he has taken a day off since I left on April 2nd! Great job to all that took care of me!
Fantastic experience: Excellent care on 2nd floor! Everyone Fantastic from nurses to technicians to nutrition to therapist to doctors, etc etc....Bev, Val, Jeanine, Dr Jacob, Brianna, Lisa, Rosie, Rachel, Haley, Brandi, Helen, Sarah, Leo, Keke, Jackie, Kendall, Dr Chang, Dr Sneha. Im sure I've missed some. My husband couldn't have made it to where he is if it wasn't for ALL of those working at TRISL!!!! THANK YOU so much!!!

Positive experience: Excellent care. Push you hard. Nice caring people.
Fantastic experience: My experience with The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis was second to none! I highly recommend them. They were a God send to me! When I got there i was pretty much bed ridden, when I was discharged I could use a walker or a cane.
Fantastic experience: I worked there from r 10 years
Fantastic experience: I spent eleven days at this facility last year and felt the quality of care and the people were outstanding. They offered 3 hours of physical therapy per day and were diligent in providing it in a thoughtful and caring way. While no facility can provide the kind of care that a private nurse or home situation can, these people do try very hard. I would and have recommended it to family and friends
Fantastic experience: I had a double stroke back in 2018 they where awesome the staff got me to the point where I can walk transfer myself from the bed to my wheelchair .
Fantastic experience: Amazing, knowledgeable, spent time with me and very compassionate.
Positive experience: Good Facility. Super Friendly.
Fantastic experience: they have a great staff
Fantastic experience: My son spent a month in this facility for a traumatic brain injury. He had excellent treatment. He and our family were always treated with respect. Our questions were answered and people had time for us. My son had physical, occupational, and cognitive therapy. The only thing I didn't like were all the cigarette butts scattered around the entrance to the facility. There is a need for grounds maintenance and landscaping. Don't let this deter you, though; it's an excellent rehab.
Positive experience: Great place for rehab needs
