Fantastic experience: I was a patient at this location for about 7 months following my ACL surgery working with Spencer as my PT. Throughout my long recovery journey, Spencer genuinely cared about my progress and was always cheering me on to reach my goals. The clinic is a little low tech but the PTs are super knowledgeable and always innovating to make sure you get the most out of your time with them. And they’ll keep you laughing while they kick your butt and make you stronger. Would definitely recommend and go back to Spencer if I had another injury (but hopefully won’t need to!!).

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough about Caroline, Isabella, Mikaila and the entire team! They are fun, focuses and made coming the therapy enjoyable ! While I hope I never need therapy again, if I do, this is the only place I will come to!

Fantastic experience: I am extremely grateful for my experience at Athletico Downtown STL this summer. For background, I am currently a Division 1 track and field athlete who was recovering from a stress fracture in my foot. Over the course of the summer, not only did my fracture fully heal, but I am much stronger in muscles that I use everyday (hips, hamstring, quads, etc). I’m now back at school 100% healthy and training at a top level everyday thanks to the everyone at Athletico who worked patiently with me on the journey I was on this summer. Forever grateful as they helped me get a great start to a great 2024 season ! I am a lot stronger and still implement what we worked on every week today.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Caroline Cooke is a great therapist! She understands that just because 1 part of your body is injured and/or needs rehab/therapy, the rest of the body should not be overlooked, especially if a different area is causing issues/pain. Dr. Cooke actively listens to her patients' concerns. She answers questions with respect, patience and compassion and is always willing to provide assistance. I highly recommend Dr. Cooke and the therapists currently working with her at Athletico Downtown. The staff is also very nice and friendlier than at most doctors' offices.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend this location for PT. I was able to get an appointment for my initial eval within a day of my referral. Caroline was incredible to work with - my back pain improved tremendously in a timely manner. She was thoughtful in adapting exercises to improve my back pain that also aligned with my job requirements.

Fantastic experience: Wow, wow, wow!! Words cannot express the impressive service offered at Athletico. First, let's talk about Spencer. This guy is a genius. He listened to my recovery goals, and was committed to helping me reach my goals. I ran 50 miles in a month for the first time in over 2 years, and I owe so much of that to Spencer. I also had a torn rotator cuff, and Spencer and I worked together until I was throwing a baseball and golfing again. Truly, this dude is brilliant, and will help you achieve your goals. On top of that, the atmosphere at Athletico is laid back, and fun. Everyone is on the same team, and all therapists and staff are committed to client recovery. It starts at the top. Michaela is a great manager. She runs a wonderful facility. Also, in the front office, Ella is so nice and helpful. The whole team is supportive. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. It's a good vibe. I recommend anyone and everyone go to the Athletico Downtown if they are in need of physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience and received excellent treatment at this location. Dr. Carolyn Cooke is an attentive listener and gave me the exercise I needed and I recovered quick under her care. Highly recommend this location. The culture is professional and very friendly.

Michaela is an amazing PT (as well as the rest of the team) and I almost wish I was still hurt just so I could go hang out there! Seriously, you will feel amazing after your visit and you definitely won't dread going to your appointments like you might with other doctor visits. P.S. Michaela has amazing food recommendations!

Fantastic experience: Staff very professional/interest in your progress. My therapist Caroline very patient with me and always making sure I’m doing my exercises. When I started I couldn’t walk her staff worked very hard in getting me in. Location very good for me to get to. Entire staff just wonderful/professional and consistent with your recovery. Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about this facility downtown. They took care of me pre and post surgery and everyone there was amazing to work with. Michaela and Spencer are top notch. Isabel always had a smile and helped me with all things administrative and just asking how I was doing in general. They are a true team there and I feel the amazing knowledge and environment helped my healing tremendously. I looked forward to every visit and don't know what I would have done without them after my surgery. They were and are a huge part of my healing journey. They truly do care about you. I highly recommend them for all your PT needs. ❤️

Fantastic experience: After randomly injuring myself and not being healed by heat and meds, my doctor sent me here. Spencer and Michaela have been great. The work has been hard but rewarding and they are both very positive forces. I'm excited to be done and will miss them but they did such a great job in helping me heal my injury that I'm confident we won't meet again.

Fantastic experience: All of the physical therapists and staff are great! They are very knowledgeable and personable. They made the pain and hard work somewhat fun. Easy and flexible scheduling. I had ACL and felt very respected about my level of comfort day to day. I was challenged but not pushed beyond my comfort and level of pain. Spencer is awesome and I felt he had my best interest in recovery at all times. I also observed the other patients seemed to have the same treatment. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Athletico. I needed PT for a groin muscle injury I got while running. I worked with Spencer who was super helpful in designing a program to get me back to running as soon as possible. I noticed a lot of improvement as soon as I started PT and really appreciated the fact that they really focused on getting me out of there as soon as it was feasible. Great experience, will definitely go again if I get another injury (which I hope I won't!). They were super accommodating with my tight work schedule and the location was great.

Fantastic experience: The front reception was always welcoming and efficient. Scheduling was easy. Macheala is a great physical therapist that really knows her stuff. She made me feel at ease, while challenging me to improve. She was very patient and helped me to remember that getting stronger takes time and putting in the work. Highly recommend Michaela and this facility.

Fantastic experience: The downtown Physical Therapy location has a awesome atmosphere. My OT Laura is great. She made me feel very comfortable when I first arrived. She took her time with me helping me and was patient with me during all my tasks. All the PT's here are very welcoming and friendly. They make you feel at home. Now every session I feel excited to come because I know they are here to help me get better. Everyone here works together they multi task and help even if their not your PT. They all work together to get the job done. This is a caring place of people Thank You

Fantastic experience: These folks, maintain a light, fun, atmosphere, while putting you through a good workout focused on your issue. Caroline really cared about my shoulder issues and created a regiment that worked. I am completely satisfied. Michaela and Spencer were always around working with their clients, keeping the mood light. It was a joy to rehab there.

Fantastic experience: My experience at the downtown Athletico was awesome. I had a pretty severe ankle sprain that had been lingering for months. Physical therapists Michael and Chad were both awesome and instrumental in helping me strengthen and stabilize the foot to a point where I could comfortably return to my routine exercises of running and cycling. Most of my sessions were early in the morning with Chad. It was great to have a balance of attention, empathy, and challenge. I highly recommend this facility for anyone dealing with a lingering injury!

Fantastic experience: From the first call I made to get a feel if this was going to be a good fit, I felt as though the team in the downtown St. Louis Athletico PT office heard me. I started a plan to rehab my knee a month after surgery and now, 4 weeks later, I have a home maintenance plan, as well as a great working relationship with the staff and therapists there. I believe I was able to go as far as I could in this time and feel optimistic for the upcoming outdoor activities and seasons, as long as I stick to a regimen of taking care of myself. If I need to reach out to them again, I know I’ll be in good hands!

Fantastic experience: Just finished my 12 PT visits. I felt the exercises were appropriate at each point in time of my progress. Everyone was friendly and willing to help. Mike, the PT in charge of the Downtown office was especially enjoyable to work with and clearly knew what he was doing and cared about results. I felt that his direction was a key part of my rapid recovery. I would definitely recommend to others!

Fantastic experience: I had a total ankle replacement this year, and it is apparently a rare surgery. Mike Reed in particular was incredibly knowledgeable, geared my sessions with my future desired activities in mind, and went above and beyond by personally coming to one of my appointments with the orthopedic surgeon. I personally hate surverys and avoid them like sharp glass in a life raft in arctic waters, but this guy, and the other therapists at this location are the best I've known. Use them.

Fantastic experience: A great experience all around - working with Chad, Mike and Spencer helped me get back to a normal routine within weeks after a neck injury led to acute pain. The PTs provide a thorough, well- explained basis for diagnoses, and clear instructions for exercises. There is ample time to go through each exercise when coming in for treatment, and no feeling rushed through the process. Highly recommend to anyone dealing with either a long-term or recent injury and looking for a highly professional and extremely competent care!

Fantastic experience: I went to Athletico because my lower back/hip was so messed up that it was creating a contortion in my torso. As you can imagine, this was quite painful. After a thorough evaluation and about a month of treatment I am back to 100%. Mike and the rest of the staff are very friendly and even more importantly, they are very knowledgeable and trust worthy. The complimentary evaluation made it easy to see if you need help. They will shoot you straight and help you with your problem no matter what. I would definitely recommend them for PT to anyone who is dealing with an issue. Overall this was a great experience that has helped me get back to enjoying life instead of being held back by my back. Much thanks to everyone on the Athletico team!

Fantastic experience: I never expected such a major difference in such a short time. As I have had physical therapy for my knee pain and lower back pain before, when my orthopedist recommended Athletico in downtown St Louis, I was like "Really? Again?" I am glad I went there. I am glad I met a wonderful physical therapist. With his professionalism, dedication and patience, Chad hlped me achieve what I thought I would never be able to manage doing again. I honestly enjoyed going to the therapy sessions, and I am recommending the place to my friends, because the therapy works--really well.

I came in for help healing from knee surgery and was amazed at how quickly I progressed with their assistance. Fantastic experience: Do NOT let the downtown location of this clinic dissuade you! Dr. Reed and his team are exceptional in every way. Leave some quarters on the counter... they’ll feed your meter. They are genuinely friendly and want to know you as a person. They are enthusiastic and appear to LOVE the work they do. Most importantly, of course, they provide top tier therapy treatment to get you back to whatever it is you most enjoy doing. After shoulder surgeries on both sides and a full year of knowing them, I can genuinely say I’m going to miss my visits.

Fantastic experience: I just want to say That I was really thankful to have Chad as my therapist! When i first arrived there i couldn’t barely walk without my Walker and my self-confidence was totally shattered. Chad worked with me every step of the way for a few months to where i was confident enough to upgrade to a cane and eventually to not needing either… It sucks to know that today was my last day there but i Can say that Chad will definitely be apart of my healing journey memories… Thanks Chad!!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mike Reed did a great job from initial evaluation through PT rehab completion and who was I was treated by. Worked with me on my goals and specific movements/sport to get me back in action quickly. Everyone else I interacted with in the downtown location were helpful and professional. Fantastic experience: Mike, the manager, absolutely knows what he's doing. He's incredibly knowledgeable and professional. The people under him are great as well. I went in with an issue with my cervical spine that caused numbness in my thumb, tingling down my arm, and very low mobility in my neck. Every step of the way, Mike knew exactly what was needed. Even when everything seemed to have plateaued, he knew how to get past it to keep moving forward. For those wondering if physical therapy is worth it, it absolutely is. It's not something that will fix you over night, nothing will. If you stick with it and do what the therapist says, you will get where you want and need to be. I no longer have numbness, tingling, or any pain.

Fantastic experience: Athletico has the most amazing staff. Mike and Claire provided excellent care in prepping me for my hip replacement and after surgery. It has been a month since my surgery and I feel back to myself. I’m thankful to be “graduating” but I will miss seeing you all. Thank you for everything that you have done for me

Fantastic experience: Great place to get physical therapy! Everyone there is friendly and professional. I worked with Mike to fix a chronic back injury that had been bothering me for years. He was focused on getting me to 100% fitness and really took the time to explain the theory and logic behind the treatment. The online videos for each exercise were especially helpful to make sure I was getting the form perfect when doing them at home. I've been to several other PT places in the past and Athletico was by far the best, I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Mike and his team at the downtown location are terrific. I’ve been going there twice a week for the past six weeks. I am pain free and so much stronger and mobile now. Mike really explains things and takes the time to answer all questions. They are very efficient so you get in and out of each session in a timely fashion. Yet I always felt I was getting personalized care. It is an outstanding PT location with a terrific leader (Mike) and staff.

Fantastic experience: The staff here is great! My doctor referred me to Athletico because I was having knee pain and weakness that was affecting my mobility. They assessed my knee and worked with me to get me back to my normal routine. Mike and the staff challenged me and provided a lot of valuable information to me so that I can keep making progress to achieve my physical goals.

Fantastic experience: The people working here are amazing! They thoroughly know their field and are willing to assist clients in learning more about their body and how to care for it! They all treat people as if they are special not like they are a chore or an unwelcome task! I had a hand issue which was handled (no pun intended) well. Taylor works on hands and appears to have a wealth of knowledge and answered all my questions fully. She was always pleasant and had a smile, I think she always wore a mask as did they all. I saw Joe who worked on my neck, back, and knee. He is a kind friendly and gentle person. He has a great deal of knowledge which he is more than willing to share! He, as do they all, have a good working connection with the doctors I had. Samantha, the office coordinator, works hard to make everything go smoothly. She is a pleasure to work with! Mike is the facility manager/physical therapist. I Think he is responsible for the wonderful environment of the place. Everyone there made me feel like I was a friend...a member of the family if you will! I highly recommend this place for all your PT needs. Shep

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to Athletico Downtown by my hip surgeon. Mike Reed was my physical therapist and he is easily the best care provider I ever had. He acknowledged all of my concerns and pain. He was able to pinpoint the direct source of my pain and explained why my body was reacting the way it was while strategizing how to overcome it. I never left feeling stressed or having any unanswered questions. As for the rest of the staff, they are amazing as well. Every session I went to the staff always had high energy and not only focused on their patients getting better, but also restoring their confidence whether it is in their day to day activities or sports specific. I am very thankful I was recommended to this location because I truly believe I would not have made this much progress or felt as confident leaving if I had done my physical therapy at any other location. Hopefully, I will not be needing anymore physical therapy for any injuries, but if I do I would definitely go back to this location (even if it is a far drive). That being said if I could rate this place higher than 5 stars I would and I’d recommend this place to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I had three surgeries to repair my shoulder and anticipated an eight to ten month recovery, but the wonderful folks at Athletico allowed me to chop that time nearly in half. I obviously can't say this will happen for every patient who comes to this location; however, I will guarantee that Mike and his staff will use their extensive knowledge to put you into a position that will allow you to achieve your goals, whether that be playing sports, returning to work, or being able to put your socks on again. A+ fun environment as well. No complaints.

Fantastic experience: Nothing but good things to say about this place. I came into therapy with low hopes; a recurrent foot injury had kept me from running any significant mileage for one full year. A year of trying various home treatments and exercises got me nowhere, but after 6 weeks at athletico I can now safely run and ramp back up to my normal mileage. Michael Reed worked his way up the kinetic chain from from foot to upper body. He immediately found some mobility and muscle activation issues with my back, hip, and ankle, all on the same side as my injury. This is something I would never have been able to diagnose or treat at home without professional insight. After finding the issues we did some targeted therapy and exercises that addressed the problems pretty quickly. After fixing the underlying issues and giving the injured tissue some rest I seem to be running healthy again! The staff here are all nice and helpful, I never had a bad experience or negative interaction. If I get injured again (fingers crossed) I would come back.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to this clinic to help me recover from a stable elbow dislocation. I worked with Mike and Niall, who were both fantastic. I looked forward to coming to PT every time because I could see the difference the time I spent in the clinic was making. The home regimen they gave me was reasonable and I could not have expected to have gotten totally back to normal as quickly as I did had it not been for Mike and Niall! Both of them were super approachable, attentive, and they knew their stuff. I'm really thankful I got to work with them.

Fantastic experience: I went to Athletico for an ankle injury related to an auto accident. I had a previous stint at a different location and it did not help. This was a last ditch attempt at avoiding surgery, so I was hesitant to say the least. 6 weeks later and wow! Mike Reed is THE GUY! He is very knowledgeable and was able to help me make more progress in 2 weeks than I was able to in 2 years. A combination of BFR (Blood flow restriction) and dry needling to help activate and strengthen injured muscles did the trick. I have been to countless trainers, chiropractors, and physical therapists throughout my life for various sports injuries. I have a very short list of people I call and go back to. Mike has increased that list from 2 people to 3 as I will happily drive an hour+ round trip to be in his care versus someone else. Adjective alert! Mike is not only knowledgeable, but he is very courteous and kind. The way he intently listens to each patient is impressive. He multitasks with multiple patients at one time, but I never once felt neglected or as though I had to wait for him or bother him for assistance. I wish every PT was as professional and effective as Mike. To me, it takes a true professional who is confident in their abilities to be able to ask each patient how they are feeling each visit and then adapting to make the current therapy session perfectly customized for their immediate needs. Don't get me wrong, there were some sessions that we made huge progress, then the next I walked in after tweaking something and Mike set me right back on track. It's a process. One to trust and know the results will be worth it in the end.

Fantastic experience: Everyone here is SO down to earth, understanding, and kind. My therapist was Dan Travers. He was VERY great at giving me information, explaining my injuries to me (in a way that I could understand), the anatomy of those parts of my body & why things were hurting. He REALLY knows his stuff and loves his job. He made great conversation every visit & he always asked about my day. It means a lot to have a PT that is personable. I really felt like a patient and not just another number on the list. I would recommend them to anyone that needs PT. They were the best!

Fantastic experience: Tiffany and Dan are great! I have had multiple bad experiences at other Physical Therapy companies but this one is the best! Tiffany always answers the phones with a great attitude and goes up and beyond my level of expectations!
