SSM Health Physical Therapy - Lemay

Fantastic experience: I had knee surgery and was sent to SSM health on LeMay and I had Sheryl and Gwen as my trainers and they were so kind and patient and they got me feeling like myself again!!!

Fantastic experience: The SMS therapy center has been great for my injured arm. Joelle is a fantastic PT. She works with you to set tough goals then provides activities to help you meet your goals. She is an amazing PT because she is patient and kind - but also pushes you to your limit (which is a good thing). I am so lucky that I have Joelle as a PT because she proves that she cares about your recovery with every visit! Thank you, Joelle, for all of your advice and guidance in helping my arm and shoulder recover!

Fantastic experience: I have recently been going to physical therapy at the Lemay location because they have aquatic therapy available. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and well equipped with pretty much anything they need to help you achieve your goals. The therapy pool is kept at a great just-above-body-temp warmth that helps loosen up those muscles and joints you’re there to work on. I’ve never used aquatic therapy before and I assume it would be called “low impact” because when I walk out of my session, I don’t feel like I’ve overworked anything or beat my body up. I actually feel relief after. For me, it’s been incredible! Such a game changer!

Fantastic experience: I am doing my Physical Therapy at SSM Health Physical Therapy located on Lemay Ferry Rd. My therapist, Sheryl is the best! They also offer dry needling at this clinic and it’s helped me so much. I highly recommend this clinic if you need therapy! It’s a great atmosphere with awesome people!

Fantastic experience: Not only do I highly recommend this facility for your physical therapy needs, but I also highly recommend Janice Elsenraat for any lymphedema or cancer rehab related needs. Jan is not only an expert in this area and highly knowledgeable working with the Revital Program, but she is able to make the medical information easy to understand and has fantastic bedside manner. She was able to put my parents at ease as my mom faced one of the biggest challenges of her life...cancer. Jan was able to explain things in a way that my parents were easily able to understand and help prepare them for what was going to happen not only now, but in the future as well. Jan is a strong patient advocate who helped my mom to get the care that she needed in a timely manner and has helped them to find information and products that my mom needs. My parents can't say enough good things about Jan, and I trust her with all of my mom's physical therapy needs.

Fantastic experience: Liz was extremely thorough with her evaluation of me. She did some light exercises which helped loosen my stiffness. She put together a plan for Brittany the pool instructor as I tolerate exercise in water better.

Fantastic experience: I am doing a new type of rehab after a stroke that I believe only SSM does. What is called is "TeleRehab" - therapy that is done with a Therapist while you are recuperating at home using some type of Facetime over your phone or computer. Angela, my therapist is just wonderful. She walks you thru several types of exercises, is very patient and professional and has you do exercises using soup cans which is quite ingenious !!. With her help, I am gaining back my strength after each session. If you need therapy and cannot get out of the house for whatever reason, I highly recommend this program and Angela for your therapist.

Fantastic experience: As a fitness enthusiast, I wasn't sure what to expect when I first scheduled an appointment at SSM Health Physical Therapy - Lemay Ferry. Angie Holloway made me feel right at home by not only explaining the progression of our therapy regimen but also elaborating about how each movement would help strengthen my rotator cuff so I hopefully won't experience pain during push movements in the future. I'd gladly recommend this location and specifically Angie to anyone looking to engage in PT in the future.

Fantastic experience: My daughter is a dancer who loves to dance, but her legs need extra care and therapy to stay out of pain to do what she loves. Jan is great therapist and works well with her. She understands what dancers need as well works well with teens. Whenever she needs therapy we will be back!

Fantastic experience: I have had several visits to this facility recently and in the past and it is very well run, clean and professional. These therapists know what they are doing. I am very confident in going there and I have had many back, neck and leg issues that they have helped me with.

Fantastic experience: Tony has been awesome. He is kind and careful with my therapy but gives me that extra push when he knows I can do it. At first I didn’t feel therapy would help but I can walk so much better and my pain level has definitely gone down. Thank you Tony and SSM Health Therapy!

Fantastic experience: Sheryl is very knowledgeable and worked diligently to help me reach my goals after knee replacement surgery. She did a great job explaining the recovery process throughout the sessions and how the exercises work to help strengthen and regain mobility of the knee. She leads a good team at this location that work very well together.

If I were to ever have to participate in physical therapy at another place, in another time in my life, I would feel fortunate if it were on par with this place.

Fantastic experience: I am so impressed with the care and concern given by all staff at the Lemay Ferry location. It starts with the front desk, the employees make sure all insurance is up to date and keep you informed with necessary information. As busy as the therapist are with patients, they always are friendly to everyone and make you feel very welcomed. After having a total hip replacement I was concerned with getting my strength, flexibility and endurance back. My therapist is great at both listening to my concerns and explaining the care plan for my needs. Her knowledge and understanding has both reassured and helped me to make amazing progress! Being a patient puts you in a totally different role, most of us are not use to being somewhat helpless at times, needing help with things we took for granted. My therapist Sheryl has the perfect combination of knowing how to comfort and push you to achieve goals, leading to recovery. Thank you to this amazing group:)

Fantastic experience: The staff is very professional. Janice E specializes in Lymphedema treatment. With therapy exercises and a compression garment the swelling in my arm went down dramatically over 4-6 months. Jan also keeps in contact with her patients with Lymphedema once they have stabilized to prevent recurrence. The office has appointments early and late in the day.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to SSM health physical therapy since July of last year, I love it there!! They are friendly and helpful and respectful, they go at you're pace!. I will highly recommend them to anyone. If I could give them 10 stars I definitely will.
