The EksoNR™ robotic exoskeleton is the first exoskeleton indicated for stroke and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. The wearable device augments strength to help these patients stand and relearn to walk, improving their step patterns, weight shifting, and posture, while allowing them to track their own progress. PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Tulsa is the first hospital in the Tulsa area to have the newly upgraded EksoNR and is using the device to mobilize patients earlier in their rehabilitation.
Each year, as many as 15 million individuals suffer a stroke and 500,000 experience a spinal cord injury. Early mobilization is especially beneficial for stroke recovery. Gait training with this exoskeleton suit is one of the latest advancements in stroke treatment and neuro-rehab in general.
Clinical research suggests that including EksoNR gait training during inpatient rehabilitation can improve patients’ gait speed and walking distance. Most patients take an average of 400 steps in their first-time training in the device. It is the most clinically used exoskeleton and patients around the world have taken over 100 million steps and counting.

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tulsa: Reviews
Fantastic experience: I was in Pam 3 times last year, in February 2022 right knee replacement, late May, early June stroke and again also left hip replacement, and each time i didn't want to leave, all the nurses, therapists and office personnel were top notch and i refer Pam to everyone i know
Fantastic experience: I am not the typical patient at PAM, but they sure know how to rehab a knee! I was on the cusp of having another knee surgery, but we decided to try PT to see if we can avoid it. Special shout out to LeAnn, Mike, Valerie, and Cheryl who helped me get my strength and stability back. As of now, no more surgery for me! Thank you PAM for the best experience.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been in the business development arena for a very long time, but I have never worked at a place that cared more about their employees and their patients! The last four years of my employment have been the best of my career, and I hope to retire with PAM Health Tulsa!
Fantastic experience: The PAM Rehab is a great place to work! Patients tell me over and over again how amazing and caring our therapists are and how friendly all the staff is.
Fantastic experience: PAM has been the best place for my loved one. Very attentive staff and always willing to answer my questions. I felt they took wonderful care of us.
Fantastic experience: Excellent staff. Did a great job getting me back on my feet
Fantastic experience: Great team! So incredibly helpful and caring!
Fantastic experience: My uncle was in a horrible motorcycle accident. He suffered multiple injuries and had to undergo many spinal surgeries. He went to PAM Rehab and had an amazing experience! They helped him manage his pain while he got amazing PT and OT. I am happy to say PAM helped him get back home to his wife and regain his independence! Highly recommend this beautiful rehab hospital!
Fantastic experience: My grandmother was here sometime ago and I must say her care was very good. The staff always listened to my concerns and was very empathetic. I would recommend this place to anyone
Fantastic experience: The rehabilitation staff at PAM Hospital are amazing and have helped my wife following her stroke. She absolutely loves Chelsea and Mike, along with all the her other therapists and they have formed a true bond with her as they continue to help her back to independence! Thank you all so very much!
Fantastic experience: They are great with encouragement and motivation. I look forward to going there every week. MS will not slow me down.
Fantastic experience: Fun and exciting place to work. The staff is very caring and quick to give credit and praise where it’s due. Amazing advancement opportunities, and everyone is very helpful and welcoming to new staff as well as new patients.
Fantastic experience: I have had both of my parents in outpatient rehab at PAM and their care was absolutely phenomenal! My father required assistance with balance and nausea issues related to BPPV as well as specialized care for Parkinson's. My mother needed strengthening and flexibility to help relieve chronic pain after multiple hip and back surgeries. We've gone to smaller facilities in the past but this has by far been our best experience. The staff was so knowledgeable and kind and paid such great attention to detail. Everything was so customized to their specific needs with one on one therapy for their entire session. They benefitted so much from their time here!
Fantastic experience: Wife just spent some time here. Could not be happier with the care she was given. Great staff! Food was even good!
Fantastic experience: I am currently a patient in the outpatient setting post extensive shoulder repair. The therapists here are top notch. They have so many modalities to aid in the recovery process, as well as many additional certifications in stroke, Big and Loud, & hand therapy. Yes, I work here, but being a patient here makes me see how truly amazing our hospital is!
Fantastic experience: I was treated just like a was a family member. The Nurses are angles the O. T. and P. T. were great. I felt like I was leaving friends when I left. I can not say enough good things about the whole staff. I miss them.
Fantastic experience: The absolute best place to be. The staff are top notch and they go above and beyond! Although I’m going home tomorrow and am eager to get back to normal again, I will genuinely miss everybody here. This is the where you want to be for your post acute medical needs!
Fantastic experience: My mother-in-law was recently a PAM patient following a fall she suffered. I truly wish I could recall the names of each staff member that made her stay special though there are so many I'd be embarrassed to forget some even if I could. The physical and occupational therapists were very good - and always informed us of when my MIL was on their schedules. The nursing staff and assistants were attentive, responsive, kind, and professional - no complaints. Dr. Annie was wonderful and available to answer any questions. My MIL adored her and appreciated the way Dr. Annie patiently talked to her. I have to thank Angela, her case manager, who provided expert guidance as we planned for my MIL's care after PAM. With a full caseload, Angela had the ability to fit me and my questions in with such grace. We know she was always busy but you never knew it because she gave us her full attention. As much as I hope to never need PAM's services, it is nice to know that the facility is just down the road.
Positive experience: I went to rehab at PAM, after my partial hip surgery, they were fabulous!!! On December 1st. I would definitely recommend you go there, they were really above and beyond! Really helped with a lot having physical therapy and occupational therapy. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of their food. Thank you everyone who made my recovery exceptional!
Fantastic experience: I have had a great experience at pam rehab of Tulsa. I have regained strength that was lost and am on track to getting it back. The night nurses have been amazing and have visited me and kept my spirits high. PT, OT and ST are very knowledgeable and have helped me very much! Tom Lander, Tahlequah OK. s
Fantastic experience: I came to this rehab because of a fall I had at my home. I had numerous bruises and aching plus fractured ribs. These professionals were amazing! They were kind when needed to be and very good about getting me to move even when I didn't want too! The doctors, nurses, techs, rehab specialists, everyone else who helped me, well I just can't say enough about their abilities. I reccomend this rehab to anyone who needs to feel better, and needs to recover from their pain and discomfort. Thank you so much PAM REHAB!!
Fantastic experience: This place was highly recommended and my kids did some checking as well. I am returning home and very pleased with my experience.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic therapist that know exactly what they are doing ! I had rotator cuff, impingement, frozen shoulder and spur surgery. They are true miracle workers. I had a few bones out of place in my neck and mid back holding me back from full potential. These therapist were able to apply gentle pressure to push the bones back in place. This helped tremendously and I was able to raise my arm higher without as much pain . Very happy with my treatment.
Fantastic experience: All of the staff including nurses, therapists, Dr.s, housekeepers and kitchen staff have been wonderful. Vonn is a breath of fresh air and the way I have been treated has aided in my healing tremendously. Dr Reddy and Dr. Zandi have been amazing.
Fantastic experience: If i needed something they were their i didn't have to wait for a long time
Fantastic experience: This place is one of The Best Places you can find I am patient here and I'm 25 and I love it here all the docs are amazing and the nurses are alsome
Fantastic experience: I just arrived home after 7 days at PAM. Had a major back surgery and was very anxious about going home . All were wonderful and now I am very confident and doing grest.
Fantastic experience: My wife was at PAM for rehab from a hip replacement. Without exception her care was excellent. We can’t say enough about the nurses, techs and therapists They are all exceptional and will keep this facility going strong far into the future.
Fantastic experience: I had the best rehab experience with nurses, therapists and The Doctors who helped me recover from COVID!
Fantastic experience: I really appreciated the care that daddy got at Pam Rehabilitation. (If you have a loved one that needs a place to go to to rehabilitate a hip after replacement surgery, this is the place to go!) They are very big on rehab.
Fantastic experience: My stay has been a wonderful experience. The staff has been kind, considerate, and helpful. I would recommend this hospital to anyone needing rehabilitation.
Fantastic experience: My aunt had a stay here at the end of last year and as I know that my uncle has very high standards for her, I decided that it would be good for me also. I was right! Everyone smiles here - whether you’re in the hallway or therapy room there is a pervasive attitude of friendliness. No matter if staff is with Therapy, Nursing or Housekeeping they are always concerned with how they can make your stay more pleasant. No one leaves my room without asking “Is there anything else I can do for you?” Nurses are very knowledgeable about my medications and Therapists exceed excellence, trying their best to make it fun. It helps that I was a very motivated patient! Case management had ordered needed equipment for home and it arrives before I will even discharge. I plan to come here for my outpatient therapy as well and would return as a patient if ever needed and recommend friends and family to do the same!
Fantastic experience: My husband had a stroke and I selected this site based on close proximity to home as well as being new. The therapists and CNA's are top notch. Without this quality in-patient care and out-patient care, I am not sure he would be where he is today. Thank you for your kindness and working with him so patiently.
Fantastic experience: Every employee I encountered was professional , efficient and caring. The facility itself was attractive , clean and well planned out. My 2 therapists were excellent and responsible for my quick turnaround. The nurses and techs were great and extremely responsive. I would recommend this facility to anyone in my similar condition.
Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough wonderful things about the care I received here. The nurses, the therapists(both PT and OT), the CNA's and even the Dietary department members that delivered my meals were absolutely the best I have ever seen. Not only did they provide excellent care, they did it with such a loving nature. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing rehab. On top of the wonderful care, the facilities are really nice and are well cared for.
Fantastic experience: SANDY is amazing such a sweet lady to everyone who comes in the facility! Shes like a ray of sunshine !
Fantastic experience: I enjoyed caring for my patients when I worked at PAM Rehab. I enjoyed visiting with them and ensuring that "All" of their needs were met. I still keep in contact with at least 7 of my former patients. The issue I had was with the techs who for some reason liked to act as RN's without an actual license. I would encourage each of them to submit an application to TCC, TU, Platt, or Tulsa Technology Center.
Fantastic experience: I love there outpatient facility. The staff are great, especially Mark, who listens to his patients and is very caring. I would definitely recommend this facility to everyone.
Fantastic experience: My stay here has been a great experience. The staff is outstanding and I have been well taken care of. Although procedures were painful, response to the pain has been excellent. Anyone who stays in this facility will be pleased with the pleasant staff and atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: This hospital is awesome! The staff took such good care of my mom. It is a beautiful, clean facility. I would highly recommend this hospital!
Fantastic experience: I just want to thank all the nurses and therapists. 6 weeks is a long time for therapy and I'm blessed. I could not have asked for a better place to be.
Fantastic experience: I’ve met with multiple people who have been there- very few complaints and tons of praise about the care provided. I encourage everyone to go visit the wall of fame. Great stories!
Fantastic experience: My stay at PAM Rehab Hospital of Tulsa was nothing short of miraculous. They got me out of a hole (mental and physical). Everyone I dealt with from CNA’s to Nurses to all personnel during my recovery showed professionalism, dedication, patience, and empathy. It was like being in a different world. From the day I arrived to 17 days later- 180 degrees for the better turned mentally and physically!!
Fantastic experience: I came in very sick and hardly able to walk and everyone was so good to me and treated me with such kindness. Everyone from kitchen staff to DON was wonderful. Such an amazing experience and I am leaving able to walk and take care of myself. Excellent therapy and physicians and what a beautiful atmosphere!
Fantastic experience: My favorite thing about being at PAM Rehab was the staff. The nursing staff were always available when I needed them. I feel a lot more confident and stronger now that I’ve had therapy at PAM Rehab.
Fantastic experience: PAM took a bad accident and turn it around to a positive future. My husband was in a freak accident...had both hips broke, pelvic broke in numerous places, broken ribs and tailbone. Not to mention all the bruising and mental stress. PAM got him up and working hard. Gave him the goals to attain and beyond. Dr. Annie, nursing staff, and therapist have been a blessing to Jon and our family. We cant thank you enough for giving Jon his life back. He is walking and working....with a smile on his face. You are our Angel's. Thank you!!!
Fantastic experience: I was there from August 22, 2018--September 2, 2018. When I was there, everyone I came in contact with was caring and patient. I had some concerns which were addressed and resolved satisfactorily and in a timely manner by CEO Thomas Biby. The therapists worked me hard for three hours a day so I would be ready to come home by myself. I appreciate the personal one-on-one treatment by the therapists and the care they gave. I would recommend PAM to anyone who is serious about rehab to regain strength and mobility. Linda Daniels
Fantastic experience: My grandson was in this facility for almost a month and has greatly improved since being at PAM Rehab. He is currently going to outpatient therapy with OT, PT, and ST twice a week and continues to improve. I would highly recommend their services to anyone!
Positive experience: I was involved in a hit-and-run on November 15th (2018). Surgeries commenced on the 15th and 19th. I’ve been in a full leg brace on my left side and have a zero weight bearing restriction. I was transferred from the hospital to PAM Rehab on Nov. 23rd. At the time it took two nurses to assist me getting in and out of bed. The first few days I was assessed on abilities and then started rehab (3hrs per day of Occupational and Physical Therapy). By the 26th I was able to get in and out of a bed using a leg lifter (i.e. no nurse support), and on 29th I was able to do this without any equipment or support. On the 30th I had my fall risk status changed from Red (most severe) to Green (least severe). —- PAM has a ton of support staff and nurses; I felt like during my time here I was never waiting long for any support. [In-Service] Rehab facilities are immense with lots of activities to keep my core up, work on balance, and everyday tasks like making a bed, doing laundry, and cooking while avoiding weight on left side. Outside there is a ‘multi-surface’ loop with stairs and ramp/elevational changes. Riding a wheelchair or walker through the loop is good training. The PAM facility is very clean, and dining was decent. I had my own room, and support whenever I needed it. A call button was always within reach. Privacy was respected (as well as can be expected when I can’t use one leg). While onsite my leg was taken care of and I had lots of staples (43) removed in-house. I had no idea how far physically and mentally I would progress in such a short time. Coming in from the hospital I couldn’t even think from the pain and medications. As of today, I’m mainly using just Tylenol. PAM has been instrumental in progressing me to a state where I can go home. A minor note, I would have like my PT to communicate with my surgeon. At PAM my knee was locked (three plates just under the knee), but when I got to my surgeon, he was not happy to see this; he wanted me to flex the knee after surgery.
Fantastic experience: My adult sister has special needs in addition to her illness that placed her at PAM, and has been in the PAM hospital for a week. I am thrilled with the care she is receiving here. The employees are so kind in administering their services; they are friendly and sincere. The physical therapists are awesome, the nurses and doctors are wonderful, and they all have shown such care to my sister and authentic empathy to her situation. My family and I are extremely grateful.
Fantastic experience: I arrived here on Tuesday Late Afternoon. They were awaiting my arrival and had everything set up for me. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. They are all part of a big TEAM. I would recommend this facility as top choice.
Fantastic experience: When my dad was recovering from a serious medical condition and surgery at the hospital, the quickly came a time the hospital wanted to discharge him. He still wasn't able to care for himself. The hospital gave us only two options. Go home and receive home health care once a day or go to rehab at a nursing home. After doing some of my own research to explore better options, I learned about PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Tulsa. Once we learned he was eligible for rehab there, the decision was made simple. From admit to discharge, PAM Rehabilitation Hospital was a God send. We couldn't have asked for a better physical therapy, doctors and nurses staff! They all gave my dad the one on one attention he needed to get better quicker. We also noticed the facility was cleaner that what we were used to at the hospital. The food they served was great as well! I would recommend PAM Rehabilitation Hospital to anyone with the confidence you will receive the best care available!
