Fantastic experience: Tara was my Balance Therapist. She was exceptional! She helped me figure out what was causing my balance issues. Through the exercises & stretches she presented I was able to once again walk with more confidence & strength. Her enthusiasm & personal interest really helped motivate me to do these exercises at home.

After a thoughtful evaluation, Andrew explained each step of the dry needling process exceptionally. He was patient with my questions and extremely considerate during the process. Fantastic experience: WOW!! I had rotator cuff surgery July 2022. Went to Restorative Therapy Co. and was AMAZED at how quickly (and painlessly) I was able to get the motion of my arm back! Tara was amazing, but I did see other therapists in the practice, and they were all amazing, friendly and professional. The location is very convenient, next to Va. Bch. General Hospital. My recovery was better than normal when I went back to the Dr., he was amazed at the progress. So, yes, yes, yes. Restorative has my vote for BEST OF THE BEST here in Virginia Beach. Jane Hobbs

Fantastic experience: Love, love, love this place. I can walk in slow, very stiff, and sore feeling more than my 66 years of age and leave feeling amazing, no pain and move with get up and go! And with knee and back issues that is seriously saying a ton!!! Through my exercises in the office and at home I am retraining my posture and learning preventative moves to avoid and protect myself from injury. Ashley has me show her how I do an activity at home, such as gardening, then gives me better options that won’t cause further problems with my knee or lower back. From their team coaching I have learned to listen and pay attention to my body, stop, do some stretching. Before, I always pushed myself to finish a task. Honestly I cannot say enough positive about this place. Ashley is my main therapist, adore her but Tara and Andrew are just as amazing! I also enjoy the equipment and even purchased some of the amazing tools online and in their studio to do my exercises at home. The right tools make a difference. I will never go anywhere else again, and I have been through a few physical therapy offices in Ghent and in Virginia Beach following surgeries and injuries in my 40+ years as a nurse! Oh and an added bonus is Restorative Therapy Co. also offers yoga incorporating your physical therapy into your class and they offer pilates!!! Don't go anywhere else!!!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this PT group. I saw several therapists at Restorative Therapy Co who each used a variety of therapy treatments to resolve my pain. They also taught me some stretching exercises to prevent the pain from returning. It was hands down the best PT experience I have ever had!

Fantastic experience: I am 71 years old and was so happy to find Restorative Therapy. I had my second knee replacement surgery and chose Restorative Therapy for my second knee physical therapy. Here I met Tara and a couple times with Andrew. Both of these therapists are professional and attentive the whole time you are there. I like the fact I was able to work with the same therapist the whole time other than when she went out of town. They watch you the whole time giving feedback on your progress and best of all forward the exercise online for you to continue at home in between. All my questions were answered clearly and they are both a joy to be around. I am walking much better and stronger . I have recommended to all my friends to consider using this Company. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I’ve seen Dr. Ellis for pain and attended yoga classes at this studio- both experiences were top notch. For physical therapy, I received unrushed and personal attention which is hard to come by. The yoga classes are welcoming and I’ve enjoyed every instructor.

Fantastic experience: Tara was my therapist. I was impressed to see that she’s a PhD. Then I found out ALL the therapists at Restorative Therapy have PhDs! Tara was professional, personable and encouraging. I found working with her was fun and motivating and was able to achieve my goals (which Tara set for me) in just a few sessions.

Fantastic experience: I had a really good experience at Restorative Therapy. I’ve known Andrew and Becca for a few years. They are very knowledgeable and professional therapists. Andrew helped me after my ankle surgery 5 years ago. Recently he helped restore range of motion and strength to my shoulder diagnosed with a partially torn rotator cuff and tight joint capsule. Before I started therapy on the shoulder, the pain woke me up at night and I could hardly move my arm. I had been in pain for 2 years and thought I might need surgery. After 2 months of therapy with Andrew, the pain was gone. After 2 more months of therapy, my arm is now functioning normal again and I don’t need surgery. I’m so grateful for the team at Restorative Therapy. They get my highest recommendation!

Fantastic experience: I want to thank Ashley and Restorative Therapy for the great experience I had at your establishment. Just walking in the door, you will realize this place of business is NOT your regular "puppy mill" physical therapy establishment. Very professional, clean and the support staff is second to none. I am old and grumpy and not the most user-friendly individual. However, Ashley put up with me and got me to the point that I can use my shoulder again. I had completed a whole round of therapy for this prior shoulder surgery 18 months ago at a different PT establishment, but the pain crept back in and was affecting my sleep and shoulder movement. Ashley quickly identified the problem and focused my exercise regime to regain usage and movement. She gave me multiple homework/exercise assignments which I am still doing to this day. If I ever have another surgery, I hope Restorative Therapy is an option in my recovery. Once again Ashley thank you so much for your kind care.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough about Restorative Therapy Co. and their staff. It started with a very friendly and informative phone call and ended with results beyond my wildest dreams. I had given up hope on having any kind of relief from surgery due to two torn ligaments from tennis elbow, and due to being 8 months post op and told by my surgeon there was nothing more he could do for me. I was referred to another Orho provider who offered options and told me about something he had done in the past that sounded like something that could help me, so off I went to see Andrew Lantz. Best decision I ever made. Andrew has managed to heal me 70-75% in a matter of a month with dry needling and cupping procedures and armed me with the tools and techniques to continue down the healing path of being back to 100%. He has an amazing bedside manner and continues to offer support along the way. His staff always greets me with a smile and are so friendly. If I could give more stars I would, Restorative Therapy/Andrew Lantz/Staff have given me my quality of life back and I will forever be extremely grateful! P.s. I went in as a cash paying patient and hands down, money well spent. I invested in Andrew who invested in me!

Fantastic experience: Becca literally gave me my life back after i had my first daughter. I was struggling walking around my house and caring for my daughter due to hip and pelvis pain. I told my obgyn, i even saw a pelvic floor specialist but i saw very little improvement. Becca was patient with me but very positive and encouraging and in a few weeks i was walking without pain and within months i was jogging and living a normal life. I would recommend anyone PREGNANT or POST PARTUM please see Becca if you’re having any pain or discomfort. She will change your life.

Fantastic experience: Andrew Lantz provided physical therapy for me following a fall from a ladder that shattered my right scapula (shoulder blade). From the beginning Andrew was professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. My friends told me that their experiences at other providers of physical therapy were like torture sessions. Not only was Andrew’s therapy not painful, the first half of each session was actually pain relieving as he manipulated my arm. The second part of the sessions, where he had me do various exercises, were just the right challenge level to keep me on a steady path to recovery. I actually enjoyed the sessions. Going into the therapy, my expectation was that physical therapy would last until my insurance company would no longer pay for it. To my surprise Andrew told me that my recovery was going so well that he gave me the choice of continuing the sessions at Restorative Therapy or doing the exercises myself at home. I chose the latter to save travel time and being able to do it at my convenience. We were not at the end of the doctor’s physical therapy prescription nor the insurance company’s willingness to pay. Obviously, Andrew put my needs and desires ahead of maximizing his bottom line. That is a biggie for me. I had asked him to show me exercises that would work on other muscle areas in addition to the physical therapy prescribed by my doctor. He not only showed me, he provided video clips showing how to do them properly and gave me a rubber exercise cord that I could use in lieu of the equipment at the facility. Now, about three months after on site physical therapy sessions ended, I am still doing the exercises he showed me, and I feel great as a result. I have no intention of stopping. I cannot say enough about how happy I am with the care Andrew provided. I recommend him to anyone seeking physical therapy. Harry Pfeiffer

Fantastic experience: If there is anything enjoyable to be had from physical therapy for a joint replacement this place is it! One on one therapy with your therapist for the entire hour. No interns or multiple patients. Always upbeat and encouraging. Bonus for me is Tara has a specialty in MS (and Parkinson's) and she has helped me with my gait challenges and mobility. And once she fixed my BPPV episode. Way better than when I do the exercise at home. I really can't stress enough how much I appreciate having found this place. Fantastic experience: I went to Andrew Lantz at Restorative Therapy 4 days after my reverse shoulder replacement because I was familiar with incredible job he had done with someone else who had the same surgery. Andrew is a real pro! He knew the exercises and therapies I needed at each point of my rehab. He made sure I did them correctly, and he answered all my questions very patiently. Andrew is just a great guy to work with! I looked forward to every appointment. And best of all, he got me back swinging a golf club in less than 3 months. Totally recommend him!

Fantastic experience: Getting myself back together again! Becca is amazing and she is a rare gem to truly care about the service she provides and the well being of each of her patients. After 4 knee surgeries and many years of poor posture, I have more aches and pains than I could count. I had tried many different approaches first, but kicked myself for not finding Becca and Restorative Therapy sooner. I used Becca's PT services at first and once she got me moving in the right direction, I have been taking her PhysioFit classes and other yoga classes provided by the studio to keep momentum up. 5 stars to everything I have tried that has been offered by RTC.

Fantastic experience: I complained to my doctor that my neck and shoulders hurt 24/7. It had been going on for months. He said it was due to me recently joining a gym and to change the exercises I was doing there. I did, but it didn't help. I complained some more. And some more. Finally he recommended Restorative Therapy. I was skeptical, but I was willing to try anything for relief. Becca diagnosed that it was my work position at my desk all day that was causing the problem. She set me up with a 6-week course of exercises, coming back once a week so she could check on my progress. I felt a bit foolish trying to start some yoga exercises at 50+ years old and 50+ pounds overweight. But I did them. AND IT WORKED. Zero pain in my neck and shoulders. I was so happy I put her to work on the arthritis in my lower back. Pain that some days radiates down my hips and legs. Another set of exercises that has me rolling around on the floor trying to be stretch armstrong - AND THEY WORK. Where is the button for 10 stars? They are the best!
