Balanced Physical Therapy and Wellness - North Tramway

Fantastic experience: Needed physical therapy for a lateral collateral ligament sprain to my right knee. The therapists and front desk staff were very helpful. The therapists were professional, friendly and interested in getting me back to normal activities. I am very pleased with the results and will return to this location if I ever need more physical therapy work.

Fantastic experience: Was hit on my bike by a motorist and suffered a broken wrist. Megan M at North Tramway did a great job for the two months of OT. We saw great improvement in my wrist over that time. She takes her job seriously yet is fun to work with.

Fantastic experience: I just completed a round of physical therapy at the North Tramway location and was so thrilled with the process. Both Kaija and Anthony were incredibly knowledgeable, attentive and committed to my healing, teaching me a great deal along the way. I had the sense I was in excellent hands and appreciated the guidance and focus on my at home program at the conclusion of the visits. Great location, great people!

Fantastic experience: Balanced Physical Therapy was amazing. Tomas, Rachel, and the other therapists helped me exponentially more than the physicians I've seen for both hip and knee issues. They aren't easy but they are very effective. I'd recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic experience: The PT sessions I had at Balanced Physical Therapy were the best I have experienced compared to those from other places I’ve gone to in Albuquerque. Almost all my sessions were with Anthony V., a very skilled and experienced physical therapist, with superb chiropractor-like touch in re-aligning me properly. I felt that Anthony V. was genuinely interested in helping me improve. I had back, gluteal muscle and sciatica issues that Anthony “cured” with effective home exercises and office therapy. The other staff at Balanced PT were also very professional and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I went to occupational therapy here for some serious fractures in my radius and ulna. All of the therapists here are amazing! They are very caring and helped me regain mobility and strength, and also did a lot of different treatments for the scars on my forearm. I had an excellent experience here and would recommend this clinic to anyone who has been referred to occupational therapy.

Fantastic experience: I have been doing physical therapy at Balance Physical Therapy Wellness on Tramway, south of Paseo Del Norte. I cannot say enough good things about them. The facility is state of the art. The people here are friendly and amazing at their profession and really care. Highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Balanced Physical Therapy by my primary care physician and went thinking I would try it but was skeptical, boy was I pleasantly surprised. The therapist that I had was amazing and she really understood what I was going through. After just a few visits I was convinced this was really helping. The staff at check in were always very friendly and the facility was very clean and well laid out.

Fantastic experience: This place is absolutely amazing! The front desk is always on top of checking people in and answering questions. Their therapists Carrie and Sherry are absolutely wonderful and are great at what they do! I have never seen such great results in my condition in the 17 years I’ve had it! Fantastic experience: I have a complicated medical history and needed therapy for a hernia/scar tissue problem. Tomas with BPT was terrific! He designed a therapy plan just for me and then shared it with all the other therapists so everyone was on the same page and working on the same problems. I even did aqua therapy, which was new to me and I loved it! I would recommend this facility and their amazing staff to everyone!

Fantastic experience: The entire staff at Balanced PT was excellent... with special shout-out to Rachel and Anthony. With the treatment I received, my flexibility and strength greatly increased after my total hip replacement. I highly recommend anyone seeking physical therapy to contact this office.

Fantastic experience: Balanced Physical therapy is the best in the city. I had always used NMOrtho for my PT. I went to Balanced for upper body strengthening before my total knee replacement and after my 2nd knee replacement. Unfortunately I did not go there for my 1st knee replacement. I worked with Anthony Valdez for most of my sessions. He was outstanding! I also worked with Ryan but do not remember his last name. Ryan was good. He pushed me and listened to my concerns. I will be using Balanced Physical Therapy for all my PT needs. I also tell anyone needing PT how wonderful Balanced Physical Therapy and that they should use them. Thank you Anthony and all the staff at Balanced Physical Therapy - I would be moving as well as I am without their assistance!

Fantastic experience: I have been to Balanced Physical Therapy for two separate issues at two separate locations over the past year. Both issues were resolved successfully. Besides providing excellent care, they have very pleasant staff who remember you from visit to visit and seem genuinely happy to see you. The staff and therapists are very professional while also being pleasant and jovial with each other. It is a welcoming environment. Fantastic experience: WOW! WOW! WOW! I've been treating at the Tramway Blvd and Paseo del Norte location for a broken shoulder. The therapists are exceptionally knowledgeable, thorough, skillful and very kind. I'm making amazing progress and am improving faster than I had anticipated. Fantastic experience: They are the best! I was having headaches 3 times a week, I couldn't bend from the waist down for more than 2 minutes, my neck pain was unbearable. I have been having sessions for over a month and my headaches are almost gone and my back and neck are doing great too. I am very thankful for the results of the therapy I got there. Everybody is super nice ❤️

Fantastic experience: Hands down the most caring, efficient, respectful facility and faculty in New Mexico. I have been in many rounds of PT and I have had my run around with doctors about my issues and pain for years. No one could figure it out. No one could help. And then I found this place. And these beautiful souls have helped me more than anyone ever has. I’ve been coming here for a little under a year and I’ve learned more about my body and myself in this time than I ever thought I could know. I’ve become more comfortable in my own skin and I’ve become better at caring for myself. I can’t thank you guys enough for everything you’ve done to help me in my healing. Fantastic experience: I Love Balance Physical Therapy!!! A very good friend of mine recommended Balance and I am so Thankful she did. I was in the hospital and inpatient rehab for 60 days and needed to start outpatient PT right away. The front desk was very responsive and got me in within a couple of days. I did my evaluation with Daniel/PT and he is amazing. He was very encouraging, knowledgeable, and did a great job of explaining all the exercises while I was doing them. When I first got to Balance I was in pretty bad condition, but fortunately, their entire team of PT's and OT's are highly skilled. Within a couple of weeks I started seeing improvement and went form a walker to a cane to needing no assistance standing. Everyone there is very caring and competent but I have to mention 3 PT's in particular. Jenna, Miranda, and Rebecca. These 3 are always so positive and encouraging that it makes you want to work harder. I worked with them the most and they are such great therapists and I consider them great friends. I HIGHLY recommend the team at Balance and am so Thankful to all of them for the tremendous progress I've made. You guys are truly the BEST!!!

Fantastic experience: Have been in occupational therapy for six months. Liana Velasquez Has been my husband’s therapist the whole time. He has improved dramatically from where it started. He enjoys working with Liana. Claims she has a heart of gold when it comes to working with patients. Very personal and very professional. Fantastic experience: The facility is clean and well-maintained with a good amount of space and equipment. The staff I’ve met have all been very welcoming and helpful. The majority of my time has been spent on OT with a hand specialist, Liana Velasquez. As a patient, I could immediately feel how much Liana cares about her work AND her patients. Her ability to both provide support/encouragement but also to challenge and promote healing has had such an incredible impact on me and played a critical role in my (still in progress) journey. I wholeheartedly appreciate her sharing her expertise and skills while helping me keep my spirits up!

Fantastic experience: So impressed with everyone at the Tramway location. Mary Francis and Tomas were truly invested in my shoulder getting better. With their help I did and am so grateful. Tomas even helped with my vertigo! If I have any other issues I’m sure to go see them.

Fantastic experience: Last year, I received excellent care & treatment for an injury with extensive nerve damage stemming from a difficult humerus fracture. I am most grateful for occupational therapist, Liana Velasquez, for helping me to regain use of my arm, hand, & fingers (when even my orthopedic dr. was unsure if I would regain full use). She is an important asset to Balanced’s staff because of her knowledge, skill, professionalism, & care for her patients. I also received great care from Sharon, Louisa, Jessica, Nikki, & Anthony for additional OT, PT & Lymphedema issues. My whole experience at Balanced PT & Wellness was quite positive, thanks to a very caring & skilled staff who treated me like family.

Fantastic experience: I started my PT journey back in Jan. Today was my last day and let me tell you although I'm glad to be feeling better I will miss the visits. I saw Tara, Sharon and Miranda and all three were beyond amazing! I felt comfortable, welcomed and most importantly heard! They gave me the tools I needed to have life long success. BPT is AWESOME!!!

My PT and PTA are knowledgeable, professional, personable, and a pleasure to work with in every way. Their front desk staff are always positive and helpful, in all a great team. Fantastic experience: Very friendly and caring staff members. They care about their patients. I’m still working on my physical therapy but would recommend this place to anyone who needs help with physical therapy. They are patient and understanding if you have transportation issues as well. My Physical Therapist Christina is extremely helpful with my exercises by helping me understand how to do them by providing me more than one visual example when needed as I have always been more of a visual learner due of having a learning disability. Christina always asks if I have any questions to make sure I have fully understood everything. She always provides me with positive feedback when I’m second guessing myself in that I’m doing an exercise incorrectly. This location gets a 10+/10!

Fantastic experience: I started my physical therapy and met Jessica Aren't this year 2022. The staff is great! They make you feel welcome, even when you walk in they say hello with your name! Amazing they remember that. Very clean and friendly!! Jessica has taught me so much about my Lymphodema. Her beautiful caring spirit and smile makes you feel comfortable. She has magic hands to massage the blocked lymph nodes. My legs are doing awesome and I have learned how to help my legs also! A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU JESSICA

Fantastic experience: The best medical referral I ever received! My PCP referred me to Balanced for PT and OT and I am so encouraged by the progress I have made in healing an old injury - I only wish I had started my therapy two years ago right after my injury. The doctors (Kevin Williams, DPT - AMAZINGLY KIND and BRILLIANT!) and therapists and technicians and office staff here are all top notch. I have visited both the North Tramway location and the 1540 Tramway @ Indian School location and I cannot say enough about how professional and kind these folks are. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and give them my sincerest thanks and most respect and gratitude!

Fantastic experience: I am very familiar with Balanced Therapy having had numerous (!) sports injuries and a couple surgeries. The staff at BPTW are very competent, dedicated professionals. Their consultations and procedures show a high level of education and expertise. Recently I had to get PT for recovery from a hip replacement, which occurred in winter right in the middle of the Covid restrictions. To be extra safe I asked Clark if we could work out in the parking lot. He didn't flinch and brought all the equipment outside for each visit. I highly recommend Balanced Therapy as a place to go to get fixed by people who care.

Fantastic experience: LOVE this office! Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and my physical therapist was AWESOME. I went in for one problem that got so much better, but we also found a couple other issues along the way. These issues were not my therapist’s specialization, but she did all she could to help me anyways. They truly care about their patients here!

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough about Balanced PT. Everyone there is so friendly and caring. I've been going almost three months and Liana (and Asia) are so awesome in helping me regain mobility in my wrist. Nikki is also great! Stacy is great as well! I felt taken care of from the beginning which felt so good when you're "lost" with pain and not sure what to do.

Fantastic experience: This is the first time I have had to do PT. and was a little apprehensive about it. The staff is awesome from the front desk to the therapists! Clark is awesome, as well as Jo! I actually look forward to going, they are very caring, and make you feel as comfortable as possible. They have a great balance of your comfort, but also challenge you to strive! Fantastic experience: This is the second time I have been to physical therapy for a shoulder issue. The first was over 10 years ago. I found Balanced through my insurance company doctor and facility find. I am very fortunate that I picked Balanced and just as fortunate that I was assigned to Clark Bearsmith. This facility and atmosphere is first rate and the staff are a total pleasure to deal with. Clark worked on my shoulder for about 6 weeks, twice a week. He explained how the brain, nervous system and muscles all work together which really helped me understand my issue. Clark provided me with an increasing list of exercises that I performed twice daily. (If you do the work at home, you will most likely maximize the results). If it is suggested, I highly recommend dry needle therapy. It worked wonders for me. I have gone from about 30% to 100% range of motion. I strongly recommend you give Balanced a try for PT needs.

Fantastic experience: Balanced PT is an amazing place to recover and rehab an injury. Jamel and Stacey, the owners, and the entire group of assistants and administration people make it upbeat and fun, while being professional and knowledgable about one's specific injury. I have never had a situation like this, and although it takes patience and persistence, Jamel has helped me recover faster than I ever could have alone, or somewhere else. He provides amazing PT sessions, evaluating my progress every time, and helping me understand the healing process and what I can do to facilitate healing and not re-injure myself!. They are compassionate, professional, safe and knowledgable. They utilize new techniques and standard protocols to get you back to where you want to be. Whatever your PT needs are, CALL THEM! I hope to not NEED them soon, but love knowing they are here. Keep moving everybody!
