MedStar Health: Physical Therapy at Federal Hill

Fantastic experience: I have had nothing but a great experience here. They are prompt, friendly and do their job. Have gone in twice over a year and the service has been consistently great.

Fantastic experience: Located on inner harbor Emily did really good job in helping me improve my knee muscles. She is a fantastic physical therapist.

Fantastic experience: I am generally the type of person who does not look forward to medical visits of any kind, but my experience with the physical therapy staff at MedStar's Federal Hill location gave me the exact opposite feeling. I actually looked forward to coming in each week to help treat neck/shoulder discomfort, and their guidance alleviated this discomfort successfully after just a few visits! Emily and the entire staff were incredibly knowledgeable and personable. Each visit, they take the time to check-in on you in a meaningful way. You can tell that they truly care about your health improving as they will listen and add/change your treatment as needed. They treat you as a valued individual rather than just another patient that they need to check-off for the day. If you are in need of physical therapy, I would HIGHLY recommend that you consider this location.

Fantastic experience: I've been getting Physical Therapy for a month now. I'm 65 and had a spiral fracture of my tibia. I have one main therapist and have had two others step in. They're all incredibly supportive, patient and personable. I have progressed much faster than I expected to. As an added bonus the PT room has a wall of windows with a beautiful view of the harbor. It's easy to find and has a free parking lot.

Fantastic experience: It's very reassuring to be connected with physical therapists who are so well prepared to deal with specific surgical interventions and their outcomes. I scheduled a "prehab" visit prior to my surgery, which has given me some significant peace of mind as I prepare for the operation, and I have also scheduled several weeks of post-surgical rehab visits. Its also great to have a Medstar location right in my Federal Hill neighborhood.

Fantastic experience: Such a great experience! The staff are so nice and knowledgeable. The location is great--beautiful harbor views and easy parking. After a few sessions, I already feel like I'm making great progress on my injury. I would highly recommend this office!

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend enough. The entire team is professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to work with. They have consistently provided great service every step of the way. My physical therapist has done a fantastic job tailoring a plan to meet the needs of my injury, answer any questions I have, listen to my feedback, and has helped me make a huge improvement in the month that I have been going there. Looking around during my appointments it is obvious that they provide this exceptional level of care to each patient that walks into their clinic. Everybody I have seen there is unquestionably treated with respect and compassion. You can't go wrong here.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at the practice was helpful. Josh was great. He is an experienced endurance athlete so he understands the needs of endurance athletes. He made sure to understand what my issues were and make a good plan to get me back on the road running. Appointments were well structured and I only had to go a limited number of times before I felt comfortable moving forward on my own. The office and equipment were all well maintained and cleaned after each use. I would recommend Josh and all the folks at Federal Hill to whoever may have issues running.

Fantastic experience: I feel it is very safe because the staff makes sure that there is distance and the staff wear masks and goggles. My PT is responsible , safe and does not have many patients in the workout Room at once.

Fantastic experience: Emily, the physical therapist, is patient and knowledgeable. She set me up with a plan that prevented me from having shoulder surgery. The whole team from the administrative staff, PT assistant and PT director, all feel like family now. I would recommend this practice to everyone. I am also in the medical field and know what it's like to give and receive good care.

Fantastic experience: Over about a month of 8 appointments in spring 2019, MedStar PT Fed Hill helped me go from not being able to run more than half a mile because of right knee pain to getting back to running two miles. In the year since, on my own with the lessons I learned there, I’ve increased my distance without fatigue or pain to about 5 miles. My therapist Rebecca diagnosed my problem in the first visit and quickly understood that I wanted to be able to get back to exploring Baltimore on foot and that I’d be happy to be able to run a few miles with short walking breaks. She trained me to strengthen my hips and core and subtly retrain which muscles were activating during my gait. I enjoyed working with the therapists and assistants during the sessions, their facility is a pleasure to work out in—clean, great harbor view, great equipment, and they are very considerate about setting appointments that work for your schedule. Also they were careful to get a referral and check insurance before starting.

Fantastic experience: Can't speak for the Medstar PT facility at Federal Hill but can speak for the excellent service I had from Lindsay Crossin via telehealth. Had my pre-surgical (hip replacement) physical therapy via video conference and it worked out just fine. So great to get a consultation without having to spend another 45 minutes driving and parking. Lindsey was great and answered all my questions, gave me exercises, and sent me a link to plan which included a sheet with images and specific instructions plus imbedded videos so I could remind myself how to do the exercises.

Fantastic experience: PT evaluation & treatment at MedFirst PT/Key Hwy. Chelsea is very helpful in scheduling appointments. Emily (PT) conducted initial evaluation, plans & supervises therapy. Emily asks good questions, is a good listener, and is very responsive to questions. Web-based app is really easy to use to maintain home program.

Fantastic experience: Went to this facility after having total knee revision surgery. I was very pleased with the service given by my main therapist Rebecca. She answered all questions about my rehab easily. The facility is great with nice views of the Baltimore harbor. Shout out to all of the therapists and techs for a job well done.
