Fantastic experience: I requested this facility from my doctor because Amy Paton had taken care of my sprained neck twice several years ago. She did an excellent job and I started having neck issues again. So lucky to be able to get her as my therapist again and easily get appointments with her. The facilities are very accessible and Amy is so knowledgeable. I always look forward to my visits there. Staff is efficient and friendly.

Fantastic experience: After struggling with chronic pain for 4 years, I genuinely don't know where I would be had I not found this physical therapy clinic! I am pain free for the first time in ages and have the tools to continue to build stability and strength after concluding my care here. They are competent, attentive, caring, and on top of things!! My PT was Lindsey and I cannot say enough to do her justice. We assessed my pain/progress in every session, did homework exercises together so that she could offer me adjustments when they were causing pain or when I was doing it wrong, discussed what what happening on a muscular level (prompted by my many questions, but this is not a necessary part of the session if you're not interested), discussed whether my lifestyle and activities were supporting or not supporting my recovery and how to adjust those or how to sneak in PT exercises during them to mitigate pain. In more detail: 1. Everyone at this clinic is warm and welcoming. I've never felt happier interacting with front desk staff then here. Sometimes they would make my entire day just with their personalities, smiles, and uplifting energy. 2. The competency, attentiveness, and care of the physical therapist is stellar. 3. The way this physical therapy clinic operates compared to others supports the amount of time and attention needed for quality care. I've been to other PT clinics where the therapists (no fault to them) are unable to properly diagnose patients, do the actual prescribed exercises with patients to suggest crucial adjustments or corrections when needed because they are pressured to simply see as many patients as possible in one day. Please do not change this structure of your clinic!!!! 4. They have a billing department to help you with keeping up with your insurance benefit usage and with requesting approval for treatments when needed. Insurance is, of course, still the patient's responsibility to keep up with, but it is immensely helpful when they remind you that you have x appointments left covered by insurance during your visit. Fantastic experience: All of the physical therapists at the 850 E. Harvard Medical Plaza office/Centura Health Center appear to be equally caring and knowledgeable, as one would at least hope, and I have had extremely positive experiences with two, primarily Joanne Raymond. It's one thing to know your job and perform it well, while being aware of the patient's individual needs, but going the extra mile to understand the trauma of surgery and the individuals distinct needs and personalities as they relate to the recovery process makes all the difference. I expected to be challenged, knowing my only chance for a full recovery was for me to give it my all and suffer the pain that goes along with the procedure; however, the extra attention paid to me as a person made all the difference. It's fairly easy to see a therapy patient struggling physically, but to use powers of observation and listening skills in combination to provide the impetus that motivates and inspires, requires heart and soul not common to every therapist. Ms. Raymond is hard on me, but she encourages me in a way that only those with inherent nurturing skills can. I feel like I'm not just another patient, but someone whose particular situation is understood, appreciated, and tended to as only someone who truly cares can do. There was a point when I wasn't sure if I was going to make a complete recovery, but one day, with my therapist's sincere advice and encouragement, I was made to feel absolutely certain of it. I couldn't ask for anything more, and I am truly grateful. Add to that the office staff's kindness and professionalism, and why would one wish to go anywhere else? Fantastic experience: I have been so happy with this office. I have worked with a couple of different PT offices in the last couple of years and never felt they addressed my symptoms. In the couple of months that I have been in PT with Centura, I feel as if they have seen me and are treating my symptoms. From the front desk to the Occupational and Physical Therapists...they have people who take their jobs seriously. They want to see you improve the quality of your life.

Fantastic experience: Stephanie Gannon, speech therapist, is wonderful. I’ve seen several different therapists over the past 10 years for my laryngeal spasmodic dysphonia. She has been specially train to aid with this problem. I highly recommend her.

The consummate professional, Joanne knows how to push just past what I think I can do, and has accelerated my healing process in doing so. Firm but kind, just a top flight health care giver. Fantastic experience: This is my 5th visit I think. I really look forward going there and working with my therapist. She's so caring and understanding and very informative. Everyone at Porters for my first therapy were very sweet and understanding of all my concerns. My therapist was amazing explaining to me what was going on w me and why. What our plan was going to be for the next 6 weeks. She was very understanding and calming. I forget what session this is now but I'm seeing improvement. It's difficult because of trauma and emotional damage. But I don't give up any my therapist is my cheerleader all the way. Without her I don't think I would have made it so far. I'm going to still keep going. Thank you for always supporting me and being so kind and understanding.

Fantastic experience: Physical Therapy at its best. Carissa and Wellesley are working hard to troubleshoot my stubborn numbness issue. Gwen too is innovative with knowledgeable with exercise moves to get me out of this annoying symptoms I am having.

I appreciated the time she took to explain in detail what she thought the issue was and to thoroughly explain the next steps and plan for improvement. Fantastic experience: Porter Therapy is without question the best physical therapy I have ever experienced. Lindsey and Gwen were outstanding, helping me to come back from major spinal surgery. The exercise load is doable and does really help, unlike the unreasonable number of exercises, repetitions, and sets other therapists had required in the past. They were very kind and easy to work with.
