Dunn Physical Therapy has been serving the Louisville community for 20 years. Over a year ago, we partnered with ProRehab Physical Therapy and we are now changing our name. Rest assured, though our name has changed, the faces and quality of care in our clinics remain the same. This change allows us to expand our pelvic health programs and expertise in the pelvic health specialty to a broader footprint across ProRehab.

Susan earned her Physical Therapy degree from the University of Louisville and holds a bachelor’s degree from Northern Kentucky University and a master’s from the University of North Carolina–Greensboro. She has been practicing in the Louisville area since 1997. In addition to owning her own practice since 2001, Susan is a Board Certified Women’s Health Specialist (WCS) and an active member with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Kentucky Physical Therapy Association, National Women’s Health Section, Private Practice Section of the APTA, International Pelvic Pain Society, International Continence Society, and International Children’s Continence Society.

Susan has spent her entire career focusing on research and clinical practice in the areas of pelvic health for women, men, and children, and women’s health issues. This coupled with a specialization in spine has allowed her to grow her clinical skills to become a recognized leader in the Greater Louisville area for the diagnosis and treatment of these conditions.

Susan has also been recognized at the national level and was featured in a cover story for the Physical Therapy Magazine, which is a nationwide magazine of the American Physical Therapy Association. Susan has had the opportunity to be published in a variety of media and very much enjoys lecturing at the local, regional, and state levels to health care providers and to the public to continually promote, educate, and empower her audience with the knowledge to address pelvic health and women’s health issues completely.

On a daily basis, Susan strives to create an environment at Dunn Physical Therapy where patients feel they are individuals receiving one-on-one care and feel empowered with the knowledge to be an active partner in their care with their clinician. She subscribes to the philosophy that your patients “don’t care what you know until they know that you care.” Today’s health care environment is forever changing and not always for the better. But at Dunn Physical Therapy, Susan and her team work every day to make sure that every patient that walks through our doors will know that we care.

Susan and her staff collectively have more experience and training in their areas of specialization than any other facility in the Greater Louisville area and she is honored to be the head of, and a part of, the Dunn Physical Therapy team.

Andrea received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Western Kentucky University and then went on to achieve her Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Jefferson Community and Technical College. Her passion has always been with sports and overall wellness, which prompted her to seek a nutrition certificate in Dietetics in 2009 from Eastern Kentucky University.

Andrea has participated in high-end athletics the majority of her life. As a 3-year captain and starter for WKU’s Women’s Division I soccer program, Andrea originally planned to go on and play at the national level, but after a national women’s league folded the year she graduated, she decided a new career choice was in order. “Physical therapy initially found me and since then I have enjoyed the journey of returning people to the full spectrum of wellness. I am honored and blessed to facilitate care and it truly is a rewarding opportunity to be in the position that I am.”

Andrea is a proud 2013 and 2014 Louisville Ironman finisher and continues to compete in triathlons nationwide as well as in road racing. She uses this passion and discipline that she has with sports and applies it to her work in physical therapy. Her career focus has been on orthopedics, sports injury and training protocols, and women’s health diagnoses including pelvic dysfunction and prenatal and post-partum conditions. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association, and the International Pelvic Pain Society.

When Andrea needs a break from training, the experience of travel is one of her favorite things. You can also often find Andrea in the kitchen exploring new recipes. She attends both St. Leonard Church and Southeast Christian Church.

Kristin Fleider-Zoph is a seasoned professional who has been practicing physical therapy for over 30 years. Licensed in Indiana and Kentucky, Kristin strives to provide her patients with a treatment plan to maximize overall wellness and health regardless of age. “Fitness is my passion – I am Pilates certified and try to incorporate these methods into all my treatment programs. I believe strong core training and activation during daily functional tasks is essential to maintaining our body strength, flexibility and balance.”

Although Kristin has a diverse therapy background she is known for her work in orthopedics, spinal rehab, women’s health, and in treating bowel and bladder issues. Through an intense training program at Marquette University in Wisconsin, Kristin has helped Dunn Physical Therapy offer patients the most current and advanced methods for treating bladder, bowel, and other pelvic floor disorders using new techniques in biofeedback and balloon expulsion training.

Kristin received her degree from Ball State University and continues to expand her professional knowledge through attending a variety of continuing education courses across the country. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association as well as the International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders, and is active in the local Kentucky Chapter. Kristin is involved in her community and enjoys spending time with her family and friends but always finds time to snuggle with her bulldog, Mr. Bates, and Max, her cat. She leads an active lifestyle and loves to play golf, exercise, and travel. Kristin is dedicated to helping patients restore, maintain, and optimize physical function to promote overall wellness and a better quality of life.

Alexa is originally from Southern Indiana. She developed her interest in physical therapy through her love for sports and growing up playing travel volleyball. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Indiana University Bloomington and went on to complete University of Kentucky’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Following her recent graduation and board certification, Alexa has officially joined the Dunn-ProRehab group!

Alexa initially developed an interest in pelvic floor physical therapy while enrolled in a specialty elective at UK. Eager to continue her pelvic health education, she moved to Nashville, TN to complete her clinical rotation in a pelvic health specialty clinic. Her passion was solidified while working alongside talented pelvic floor physical therapists, and clinical mentor, who demonstrated a skillful approach in connecting orthopedic and pelvic floor treatments. During this time, she realized the educational impact she could have on individuals with pelvic floor dysfunction and the benefits in approaching treatment through a pelvic health lens. She has continued advancing her education, becoming Level I certified with the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Institute, and is working towards her Pelvic Health Specialist Certification.

Alexa now resides in Louisville, KY with her fiancé, Nic, their dog Wrigley, and cats, Binx and Cece. She is a collector of house plants, enjoys all things outdoors, and is a lover of animals. As she enters her DPT profession with the Dunn-ProRehab group, she hopes to add to the collective effort in normalizing the discussion and treatment of pelvic floor health. She is committed to advocating for all pelvises and sharing her passion for patient education.

Fleur is very passionate about learning how our bodies work, and about teaching others what she has learned. Pelvic health physical therapy is the perfect place to do just that.  She is pelvic health certified through Herman and Wallace, Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. Fleur believes that everyone with a pelvic floor deserves to know how to properly care for it. The pelvic region and core are integral parts of body movement as a whole, and dysfunction in these areas can affect every part of a person’s life.

Angela Northcutt earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from University of Kentucky. Prior to that, Angela obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychophysiology from Lindsey Wilson College.

Dr. Ellen Schoenfeld is a Louisville native and a graduate of Bellarmine University, earning her doctorate in physical therapy in 2010. She has experience in acute care, short-term rehab, outpatient orthopedics, aquatics and pediatric physical therapy settings. Her passion for pelvic physical therapy developed after her personal experience of pelvic pain and pelvic floor weakness. After having children her passion expanded to helping children with bowel and bladder dysfunction. She has devoted her career to helping others decrease pain and restore function.

In her spare time, Ellen enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 daughters. Ellen loves the outdoors and sunshine, whether it is outside with her kids or spending time on the lake.

Dr. Kristen Schellhaas grew up in northern Kentucky, playing volleyball throughout her adolescence. She attended Georgetown College for her undergraduate studies where she continued her volleyball career. She earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in psychology in 2016 and went on to attend the University of Dayton where she earned her doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) in 2019. Kristen began her career in outpatient orthopedics, which allowed her to work with a variety of patients and diagnoses, including joint replacements, ligament reconstruction, acute injuries, and chronic pain. She transitioned her focus of care to pelvic health which she has continued with for over 2 years.

Kristen is Pelvic Floor Level 1, 2A, and 2B certified through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She has completed courses on a variety of pelvic health diagnoses for all demographics. She is passionate about pursuing avenues to better assist her patients’ needs. Kristen is also a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher which she incorporates within her clinical practice.

Kristen is very active in her spare time. She enjoys being outside, doing yoga, exercising, reading, and spending time with her dog, family, and friends.

“I like to work with my patients as a team. As we determine their end goal, I make sure they know I will work through plans A–Z in order to get them there. Everyone deserves to feel good and allow their body to function at its highest capacity.”

A winding career journey of 7 years at a global advertising agency, 4 years in commercial photography production, 13 years in corporate staff training and development, and an idea for a fitness boutique led to awareness that being a Physical Therapist Assistant was even a thing.

Kim is from Florida, received her Bachelor’s degree in advertising/marketing from the University of Florida in 1994, certificate in commercial photography in 2002, and her Associate in Science degree from Jefferson Community and Technical College Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2021.  She has a passion for all aspects of education, including and especially educating the patient, as well as continuing education within her role.  By the close of 2023, Kim will have gained her specialty certification in orthopaedics and rehabilitation of the injured runner.   Kim also has a certification as a clinical bike fitter, and has completed Herman & Wallace pelvic health education levels 1 & 2A.

Kim is very active in the triathlon, running, and biking communities.  She can often be found providing weekend community health education about the intersection of pelvic health with orthopedic rehabilitation.  She enjoys her downtime too, and loves gathering with her husband and friends at local breweries – especially if there are dogs to pet.

Dr. Madison Eubanks received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Kentucky.  She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Kentucky in 2019.

Madison has a background in outpatient orthopedics and joined ProRehab to pursue her passion in pelvic health.  Madison is committed to specialized treatment of pelvic health for all individuals.  Her professional goal is to achieve a pelvic health specialist certification.

She is originally from Lexington, KY. Go BBN! Madison and her husband Jon now live in Shelby County outside of Louisville with their dog Otto.  She loves watching the NFL and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. Outside of her career, she enjoys hikes with her family, spending time at Kentucky Lake & traveling the world.

Fantastic experience: One of the best medical experiences I've ever had - I've felt heard, respected, and incredibly well taken care of the entire time I've been under their care.

Fantastic experience: I was told I could not be fixed by my doctor, a specialist and a chiropractor, without terrible surgical options. I was referred by a friend to Dunn as a last resort. PT Melissa McElroy told me she could help me. It would not be easy and would take about a year. A year later I was given freedom from the misery I was in. She did not just help me physically, but mentally through my issues. She was a caring and personable PT that gave me the feeling my problem was a challenge she would beat and never rushed me through an appointment. The staff is awesome, fun and serious about your needs. I drove 70 miles for my visits and it was worth every mile. Thank you for giving a CrossFit Coach his happiness back. Melissa you are a miracle worker and an amazing person.

Fantastic experience: Melissa is so knowledgeable and after seeing multiple specialist she was able to provide the proper care to get me to my goal. They also saw my son for a brief period and they were amazing with him as well. Office is professional and organized. Any PT needs I will always come here or refer here as they are still private practice which allows them to focus on patients better in my experience.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Amy Ready as your physical therapist. Why? When I first met Mrs. Ready she was walking an elderly patient to her car. Yes, she goes above and beyond what you expect from a physical therapist. She treats each patient as an individual with unique needs. She listens carefully to you and your body, and then applies precise knowledge, which she has a lot of, to your specific needs. “People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." Mrs. Ready lets you know how much she cares immediately; after that, she demonstrates how much she knows as she helps you heal.

Fantastic experience: Susan Dunn and her staff do an amazing job. I recently was referred there for treatment and was truly thrilled with the level of care I received. I was fit into the schedule very quickly, never waited long, and the treatment was professional yet performed with the utmost care. My questions were answered, I never felt rushed, and genuine concern was shown in regards to my progress. I will absolutely be going back to Dunn & Associates for any physical therapy needs I have and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a best-in-class experience. It is clear that being a private practice makes a big difference - this is what patient care should be like. Thank you!!
