Negative experience: The worst front desk people I’ve ever met and spoken to on the phone . They are extremely rude and dismissive! Have an appointment, but looking for another orthopedic in the meantime as because of them makes me wonder how the doctors are

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Korchek on 11/12/2024 for a severely swollen right knee. I had trouble walking on that side for 3 days. It was stiff and swollen and cold paks, etc, had not helped. I was not happy. They took some Xrays, Dr. Korcheck and I talked for 10 minutes about the medical “history” of my knee, and then he made a recommendation. The way he made the recommendation it was clear he listened to what I said and was giving me a chance to object to anything I didn’t like. Very good approach. I took his recommendation, the procedure was completed in a few minutes, and I was astonished that my knee had returned to 90-95% normal functionality immediately! I call that a success on all bases, a miracle if you like. In short, I liked his “beside” manner, his listening, clear explanations, interest in my case, not rushing me, and efficiency of the procedure. Who can ask for anything more! (Oh yes, he sent out a sample of the fluid retrieved for further analysis and wanted to see me again in two weeks. I feel I am in good hands.)

Fantastic experience: this is the third specialist I have gone to in regards to severe pain I have had for months. Dr Falkinstein was the only one that took my pain seriously and took action to get me the help I need.

Negative experience: Ok so the doctor I saw is good. But their systems are terrible. I get the wrong notes put into my chart and it takes three phone calls to fix it. I've gotten random texts for appointments that don't belong to me. It takes too long to get anything accomplished. For instance, if I have a question on my chart I have to wait for hours on hold to get an answer. If I don't have a direct line to someone, I get put in a cue, with one person answering the phone and it's insane how long I have to wait. I can safely say that 100% I will not return to this facility for these reasons. It's too big and their systems cannot handle the volume. **Went back because I had to get my results - and just got another "visit summary" with the WRONG information on it AGAIN! I can't wait to be finished with this place.

Positive experience: We waited quite a bit but the office was slammed with injuries after the weekend so it was understandable. Jonathan, the ortho technician was super nice!

Negative experience: I had to retract my 4 star review and here is why. OSS used to be really good, before they moved to the new office they built by the airport. I like Dr Yacobian, and Dr Falkenstein is good, both have treated me, and I am not planning to change the ortho part, yet. They had Dr Jeter, pain management, but let her go, and she went back to UCLA. If she were not so far now, I would follow her to Santa Clarita. The real problems are telephone communications. Good luck waiting less that 1/2 to 1 hour before you speak with anyone. And prepare for the fact that frequently once someone says hello, they do not know what they are doing, and will put you back on hold for yet another 1/4 hr. When they had their first massive staff layoff, I wondered if they would continue to meet my needs. I gave them a nice review at Google Maps, mostly predicated in their pain management, however they are no longer in the pain management business. I retracted my review. Dr Raven work on my hand, but he left the practice. I feel like now, it is a throw of the dice when I need services that they used to be great in. The office manager, Melissa, is under the gun all the time and not helpful. Each experience now is very frustrating. A sad decline in their practice.

Fantastic experience: Well oiled machine! Friendly staff, great PA that took care of my VERY painful shoulder. I was a walk in without an appointment and they still made it happen. Super pleased with OSS.

Fantastic experience: I managed to give myself an open Calcanous fracture back in April. I was fortunate to have Dr. Mikhale perform the surgery. As per protocol the cleaning of the wound is a surgery. After the surgery I was placed with Apryl and Edward for PT. They were the best. All in all OSS was one stop shop for everything from surgery to recovery, excellent and exceeded my expectations.

Fantastic experience: I had my right knee Anthroscopy surgery last July 26 because, of my meniscus tear. My excellent doctor who performed my surgery was Dr. Shahen Yacoubian. Dr. Yacoubian is a great, fantastic, and very knowledgeable about his job. I will highly recommend him as a doctor and surgeon to my family, friends, and my co-worker’s. He is nice, kind, and pleasant doctor to his patient.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Falkinstein was a godsend. I have been in terrible stabbing pain with a herniated disc for over a month. I have only made it out of bed for bathroom, shower necessities and doctor consultations. No one that I saw during that time was willing to write me a prescription for any meaningful pain medication. He was willing to accommodate my needs immediately. He gave me a shot to relieve pain and offered to schedule me for a microdiscectomy. Other surgeons had advised fusion. I understand this is a complicated area and there are several methodologies but Dr. Falkinstein agreed that the least invasive procedure had a good chance of being a permanent cure for me. As my wife said, if all outcomes are reasonably equal, one can always do more, but one can never do less in the case of spine surgery. - Drew Dalton

Fantastic experience: I came into OSS for the orthopedic urgent care. They had no availability for today and the girl in the front could see how much pain I was in and really needed to see someone. She was able to get me in to see the surgeon right away. I didn’t wait long considering I was a walk in. They took my X-ray and I was seen by Dr Feldman. He was very professional and put me at ease. I will have to return for more follow up appointments and I hope it runs as smooth as today. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. They are super organized and efficient as well.

Fantastic experience: OMG wow this place is amazing! Made an appointment here for my mom & experienced the most awesome service. Upon checking in, we didn’t have to wait long at all, then I was amazed by how efficient the staff is, they are on it! Everyone we encountered spoke Spanish which is an added plus for me because I didn’t have to translate for my mother. Everyone was friendly, professional & the place is super clean!

Fantastic experience: It was one of the best experiences I have had. Everyone was patient, courteous and knowledgeable. Dr. Korchek is amazing. I can’t say enough about him. He was informative and honest and put me at ease explaining everything. Today is 5/6/24. It’s been 6 weeks since the surgery to my right hip and 5 1/2 months since I had my left hip done. I came into this office in a wheelchair my first visit last November. I am now walking without any assistive device of any kind. Thank you Dr. Shahan Yacoubian. I feel like a million bucks. You are the best!!!!!

Negative experience: Terrible customer service, terrible scheduling. after *they* rescheduled my appointment to a less convenient time I was running 10 minutes late to the new apt slot. I let them know I was running behind before my apt. Stepping out of the elevator the receptionist told me she got my message but that because it was 5:12 (not 5:10) there was no way I could be seen. What a waste of time.

Fantastic experience: On 6/28/24 my 92 yrs old dad had checkups for his broken hip. Johnathon Quevido X-ray technician took him in for X-ray. He was very patient with my dad and provided excellent patient care during the testing. Johnathon definitely deserves recognition and 5 stars for his humanity and dedication to his patients.

My son had a fractured wrist at the same time that I had a fractured finger and they were so accommodating with us so that we could both be seen during the same visit even though we were seeing different doctors. Negative experience: I was there 3 weeks ago May 24, was told they will get authorization for in injection, 3 weeks pasted and haven't received any word from them. I have been trying to contact this office for the last 3 days. Just today alone, was on hold about an hours. I gave up and left another voicemail which I am sure no one will return the message tomorrow. They have one person answering calls, I will NOT go to this office.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to share my experience, I've been dealing with a torn meniscus tendon for months now as my work doctor refused to fix it. I am so excited to finally meet with an orthopedic surgeon who looked at my MRI, gave me a diagnosis and is going to repair it. Dr. Stephan Yacoubian was a very pleasant doctor to work with, he explained in terms that i can understand, what was wrong and how we were gonna fix it. Negative experience: The star is for Dr. Falkinstein. I did not go to this place but Dr. Falkinstein went to another locations to write a QME report. Dr. Falkinstein wrote incorrect statements, he did not report my diagnosis from previous doctors, work activities injuries, MRIs real diagnosis and misdiagnosed me. I received a wrong health treatment and wrong award from Worker’s Compensation. He left me hurt and working in pain until I was terminated. With his report, there is no evidence of work related injuries. Dr. Falkinstein, you left a disabled person without the right compensation. Unable to provide to her family. I read the stories of so many people being thankful for a good health service. Unfortunately I did not have that experience.

Fantastic experience: I’m a horseback rider, so an orthopedic hospital is one of my speed dials! I’ve been here for a broken wrist, torn bicep, and now, a broken ankle. Worst thing out of the way: the waits are long, but I always tell my wife that I’ll take the long wait times for the care received. I also love the nurses and staff. I had surgery for the ankle and the process was smooth and seamless. I got an ambulance to an ER in Burbank, and had my X Rays and CT scans sent over to OSS. I got an appointment scheduled ASAP and then was scheduled for surgery. The surgery process was smooth. Before surgery, I had to get an EKG, chest x rays, & bloodwork to make sure it was safe to operate. The nurses were all very personable and kind, anesthesiologist was amazing, and I got operated on by Dr Mikhael who did a great job. He kept my wife updated during my recovery. Mikhael, the anesthesiologist & nurses took my pain seriously and it was controlled within an hour, leading to a smooth recovery process of just rest and relaxation. I really recommend them. I know the wait times are a concern and some of the doctors get reviews stating they’re matter-of-fact or have a less than warm bedside manner, but if you go here, you’ll get fixed up and your pain will be taken seriously.

Fantastic experience: I fell and suddenly needed major surgery. I broke my femur and my patella! God chose the best surgical staff! Dr. Yacoubian and his 'right hand man', Omar Duenes, PA-C put me back together again. I had surgery 10 days ago and I'm able to head home tomorrow! Miracle!!! The office is great with a great staff. I'm grateful beyond words! I highly recommend OSS Burbank!

The entire process from healing, to disability paperwork, billing, surgery, post op, and physical therapy were all explained to me in full detail. Dr Yacoubian and his wonderful staff make you feel at ease and informed.

However, from the 1st making of the appointment, to my dr's visit for the first time I actually felt that everyone was interested in my health, the services were top notch and needless to say, the Dr was FANTASTIC!!!
