HRV Diagnostics help assess a patient’s nervous system state through a non-invasive, 5-minute procedure that outlines a picture of the patient’s wellness and recovery capacity by gaining biofeedback from electrical activity of the heart.

HRV measures the variance in time between individual heart beats controlled by the autonomic nervous system, including the sympathetic nervous system controlling the body’s “fight or flight” response and the parasympathetic nervous system controlling the “rest and digest” response.

Digitsole Pro improves patient assessments by measuring objective biomechanical data that cannot be observed by the naked eye. The results are translated through our exclusive AI algorithm into relevant clinical data to propose the most appropriate treatment.

The connected chips inserted into your insoles will retrieve the data collected at the end of each activity to process them into clinically usable data.

Carly Krysa earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Public health with a minor of Psychology at the College of Charleston. During her time in Charleston, she fell in love with the practice of yoga and healing through the mind and body, earning herself a 200-hour registered yoga certification (RYT-200).

In 2021, Carly completed her Associates of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant at Mercer County Community College in New Jersey. As a PT at Park North, she loves incorporating yoga and mindfulness into her treatment sessions to complement traditional physical therapy interventions. Her goal is to help individuals improve their physical health and wellbeing through a holistic approach.

Carly became interested in Neurokinetic therapy in a previous role. She had the opportunity to work in a facility that focused on this specific treatment style. Carly became very interested in neurokinetics because it focuses on treating the whole body rather than a specific injury. It allows the patient to heal from a deeper level because it focuses on your breathing, movements and your pain. Everything in the body is connected so when one part goes out of alignment it will throw your entire system off.

At Park North Physical Therapy, Carly employs neurokinetic therapy to help patients with a wide variety of problems that include pain management, fall prevention, to avoid surgery, improve mobility and movement, sports injuries, neurological conditions, improve balance and many more conditions.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Park North Physical Therapy! I came to Dr. Pape Diagne with severe back and sciatic pain from an injury. It was so bad that I wasn't sure I'd ever be pain free without surgery, but after 8 weeks of working with Pape I am able to do everything I could do before the injury. I must add that PT only works if you put the work in. Pape gave me the tools to get better, and went above and beyond to help me. Thank you to Pape and all the Park North staff!

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience, and mainly the best results after working with Pape on my arm, for a couple of months. In addition, the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: This was my first time here for a terrible ankle sprain. There was an annoying discrepancy with my insurance but that did not take away from my experience at Park North. The physical therapist, PAPE, was absolutely amazing. He gives outstanding service his clients. He is professional, compassionate, patient, Top tier customer service skills, Knowledgeable and passionate about his profession but still eager and open minded to learn more. I was having difficulty with an AOS brace my doctor recommended and he admitted he was not familiar with the brace, but he didn't give up on helping me until he figured it out and then explained it to me. I'm really sad I cannot continue working with him at Park North. This is the 2nd time in my life I've done physical therapy and this experience left a long lasting impression on me. My first experience was nothing compared to what I've learned from Pape in a brief period of time. The world needs more people like Pape. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: SUPERIOR I have experienced Physical Therapy services at multiple facilities in the past 15 years. Park North is unquestionably the best. Efficient, effective and informative. Therapists are knowledgeable, encouraging and enthusiastic. No waiting time and thorough, detailed sessions. Never feel rushed or stressed. Highly recommend. I am a registered nurse since 1976.

Fantastic experience: I feel that Park North does a great job. This is my second time with this facility and I requested going back to them because they did a great job the first time. The treatments feels uncomfortable at times, but it's worth it to get me back in shape. Park North staff is awesome. Great bedside manner. I give them five stars. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Park North has been a truly great experience for me. I am walking now, which I could only do a little with the manual walker. Now I am doing well with a rollater, and starting to walk short distances at home without support. Thanks to RANMIT MATHARU, and the help of Colleen and other staff members. I am working on "balance" now at home. Hope to get torso balance back soon so that I can walk without support devices.

Fantastic experience: I've been receiving physical therapy at Park North for probably seven years now for various injuries. I cannot say enough good things about Sam and his practice. Everyone there is extremely kind, talented, and professional and they all care deeply about their patients. The attention and care is simply wonderful. Sam goes above and beyond in every aspect. He has saved me from having to have surgery at least once, and from living with pain multiple times. Plus, everyone is super friendly and fun (yes, fun PT!). This place is the absolute best.

Fantastic experience: I just had knee replacement and knew I’d need PT. I’d been to Park North 6 years ago so although folks recommended several practitioners, I knew where I was going back to. It’s convenient. They always work with my schedule and Sam listens and makes every effort to ease my discomfort but still puts me through the necessary paces. I would recommend them to anyone who needs physical therapy. And, it’s a friendly, clean environment with great music.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend. Staffs are professional and nice. The systematic training relieves my ACL torn pain and helps me walk smoothly before surgery.

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience every time. I've been back and forth to this place for years. First, for a back injury. Then following my double hip replacement and, most recently, a neck issue. The owner, Sam, hires really great therapists. I've worked with both Sams, Kevin and, most recently, Papi, and never been disappointed. Nice guys and I left in shipshape every time. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: The best physical therapy treatment I've ever had. I almost take it for granted that the place is clean, the bathroom is well stocked, and they sanitize everything between uses. The staff here is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I did a few extra sessions after I started feeling better just because I liked being there. A special shoutout to Dr. Victoria Garrett!

Fantastic experience: This place is clean, friendly and very professional. Since an accident fractured my wrist and pelvis, I have been working with occupational therapist Halima Akter and physical therapist Divya Rajaraman to recover my functionality, strength and range of motion. With Halima's encouragement, I have made tremendous progress and also gained strength in my upper body. Working with Divya, the pain in my back is gone and I feel stronger in my core and legs. I highly recommend Park North and its staff.

Fantastic experience: Staff at Park North PT at 2804 Broadway are professional and attentive, and the facility is extremely clean and well maintained. Sam helped me with both a shoulder and neck problem. His work on my neck got rid of pain that I had been experiencing for weeks. I recommend Sam if you are looking for an experienced, professional and pleasant therapist.

Fantastic experience: At 68, with two hip replacements and 6+ vertebral compression fractures, I’ve worked with a number of in and out-patient physical therapists. The quality of the therapy has ranged from very good to why bother. When I started experiencing walking problems caused by back issues, I asked for a referral to a new clinic. Park North Broadway is a short bus ride from my building. I went by to check the place out and spoke with Kevin Yamamoto, who I liked. I worked with Kevin twice a week from February through April. He has a calm, low key manner which is exactly what I need. Kevin began with questions about the problems I was experiencing, and then asked about any other past issues. I was impressed with his questions. As we worked together, there were a number of times when he explained why I should not do certain exercises because of one of my on-going problems. Then he gave me an alternate, modified exercise. Kevin has an excellent relationship with his assistant, Julia. They worked together to monitor my progress, my pain issues (this is not the no pain / no gain approach), my posture, and my stamina. One of the things that impressed me most was Kevin’s knowledge of physiology, and his ability to help me understand what was causing my problems. I woke up recently with a pain I hadn’t felt since before my PT, and that ‘not again’ sinking feeling. Then, just like the man who was taught to fish, I thought calmly about things I learned from Kevin and began working on solving my problem.

Fantastic experience: I came to Park North with a lot of pain in my lower back (in 2021) - and Sam cured me! He is really, really good at what he does. For me it was a combination of exercise, massage and some kind of machine stimuli. He and his team are considerate, thoughtful and very flexible. Highly, highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Dr. Victoria Garrett over several months to deal with tendonitis in my forearm and elbow. Dr. Garrett did a lot of detailed work between sessions to ensure I had the tools and exercises I needed to at home and was thoughtful and responsive to my questions and feedback. I would highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: A PT clinic like no other - friendly, relaxed environment with dedicated, caring therapists who are skilled and thoughtful....plus a sense of humor and good cheer to boot. Perfect when you're working through pain and healing your body. Can't recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: Great dedicated staff serving the community. Eager to support their patients. Not only that, they regularly have students and physical therapists from Columbia and other institutions train and do their rotations here to learn how to implement the same exceptional quality of care.

Fantastic experience: I have been a client at Park North Physical Therapy off and on for various arthritis ailments for the past 5 or 6 years. I've had 2 therapists; Sam, and currently Hilary. My experiences with both Sam and Hilary have been professional and courteous. They are considerate of your limitations, but they encourage you and motivate you to work within your physical parameters. 7/19/21

Fantastic experience: This physical therapy office is a gem in the Harlem area. I am a physician so I have background knowledge in what constitutes good medical care- I can tell you I trust Park North 100%. After a spinal cord injury 7 years ago I went through a lot of therapy and therapists. When I met Sam I was resigned that I would never run again. He said ‘I’ll have you running in 6 months’ and he did. I can run 6-8 miles, bike, ski. Years later I still see him regularly to help with my residual neurological problems. He always has the latest technologies and the best staff.

Fantastic experience: The antithesis of a PT factory, Park North occupies the ground floor of a Harlem brownstone and has a friendly, informal air that belies the serious skills of the therapists, all grads of Columbia's School of Physical Therapy. I received excellent treatment following rotator cuff surgery and actually enjoyed the process, which culminated each session with a hot shoulder wrap. Bonus: they have great playlists. I hope I never have to go back, but if I need PT again, I'll return.

Lenore Salazar 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: Caring, skilled staff. So grateful for the professional help I received for what had been a chronic problem. I chose to travel to Park North, which is quite a distance from my home, although there are many competent PTs closer to my home. However, my MD strongly recommended this facility so I chose it. No regrets, only gratitude. My "chronic" problem has evolved into an occasional one and I faithfully continue the exercises that led to my recovery. Thank you Park North and a special shout out to Sam!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to find PT in my neighborhood, so I went on line and read reviews. Park North sounded good. I had no problem making my first appointment in a timely manner. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. Hillary is on time for all of our appointments and I feel like I have her fill attention during our sessions.

Fantastic experience: Park North , particularly Sam Marjoria, provided excellent physical therapy on my knee. Once Sam determined my knee’s particular weaknesses, he enlisted appropriate exercises and muscle stimulation to address them. And after 10 or so sessions, the knee was much stronger. Thank you Park North!

Fantastic experience: I chose Park North Physical Therapy at the recommendation of a friend. My experience with the team was the best I’ve ever had recovering from injury or surgery. The facility is immaculately clean with 100% COVID-19 precautions and the highly experienced therapists work with you to partner and collaborate on your recovery. Plus the practice has a digital app so they can give you exercises tailored to your progress for you to do at home. My therapist, Sam L., has advanced degrees from Columbia University and was knowledgeable about all the latest techniques and strategies for full recovery. Like everyone at Park.North, Sam has a very friendly and supportive personal approach to clients and it is a very diverse and inclusive practice which I really appreciated. I highly recommend this practice as the very best.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Park North PT for rehab post surgery of my left foot twice. Each time, Sam has been very attentive throughout the process from evaluation to discharge. Sam can tell what’s wrong with our bodies right away and tackle issues very methodically and thoroughly, which really helps speed up recovery and relieve pain naturally. I would go back to Sam without second thoughts if I hurt myself again in the future!

Fantastic experience: I had another great treatment. Thank you Sam and staff ! the staff is professional, smart, caring and highly trained in different rehabilitative techniques. I love the fact that Central Park North maintains a busy schedule, but are accommodating and timely. I rate this facility as one of the best rehabilitative facilities in the borough of Manhattan and a true gem in our community.

Fantastic experience: Gosh, where do I even begin? I so enjoyed my time at Park North that I honestly didn't want to leave, which I know is a funny thing to say when leaving means you're effectively recovered... The other reviews are spot on: a really professional, knowledgeable, and attentive staff. I was very curious about what was actually going on with the injury and healing process, and Jeff (who's the best!!!) explained everything, diagrams and all. They're also taking reasonable covid precautions; I felt comfortable going in person.

Fantastic experience: I saw Sam for four sessions due to my lower back pain. He quickly comforted me that my pain was not serious, and that it would get better in a couple of sessions there and with some exercises at home. He got it right and after four sessions, I am at 95% of where I was pre-injury, and I will continue to work on my own from here. Great location and a very nice staff as well. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: Coming out of a spinal surgery that resulted in six weeks of bedrest I needed a lot of guidance and helpTo get back on my feet.Park North physical therapyIt's been an amazing asset. I have been working with Samuel Lu For the past few weeks (Online given the Covic 19 situation) and I am improving every day! Samuel is an amazing PT instructor: He keepsThe sessions interesting, dynamic and at the same time he is very knowledgeable and careful. I feel very secure and encouraged working with him. I cannot Overstate how much I am grateful to him and how much the PT sessions with him have been helping me. It is not an easy thing to run PT sessions online But Samuel seems to be very confident and comfortable with it. after a while you almost forget you're not in the same room with.I strongly recommend Park North physical therapy and Samuel Lu to anyone needing PT during this difficult time. Fantastic experience: The work done at Park North is so good I took my husband and the chronic pain he was experiencing in his neck for years is gone! And this seems to be the norm, a couple of weeks ago as I was leaving a new client mentioned that she was there at her husband's recommendation. Last week, I pulled a muscle lifting a heavy bag. It took a few days for me to realize what happened and then it was so painful that sitting, walking and riding the bus was an ordeal. I went to see Sam and told him what had happened, he listened and nodded in his thoughtful manner and then went to work! As I was leaving, Sam said "you will feel much better in a couple of days." I was exhausted and in pain, I did not believe him. I was still uncomfortable that night but when I woke up the next day, the pain was ALL gone. I could get out of bed without rolling and cringing, I could walk and sit without pain; we could not believe how the knowledge, technique and skill that was uncomfortable the night before led to total relief the next day! The folks at Park North are truly dedicated to wellness and healing and they are welcoming and kind.

Fantastic experience: I love being a client at Park North Physical Therapist. In addition to all of the therapists being extremely knowledgeable - they are all welcoming and personable. I have also found that they are thorough and spend more time on clients that other PT offices I have visited. While the amount of time spent on each client is flexible to need and desire, this is not an office that rushes you out after 30 minutes. Their level of care, competence and bedside manner is immaculate.

Fantastic experience: Samuel Lu, Sam, and Tony have been awesome. All are very knowledgable on ways to help me get back to my normal self. I've been with them for the past 6 months. I feel seen and as if they are invested in my recovery. They've done a great job with dealing with my insurance. I'm always scared because of past experiences that I'll be struck with a bill at the end. but Sam has been on top of things so I know whats going on and i'm not surprised. I highly recommend if you don't want to truck in the city and you want more of a hands on care. Park North Physical Therapy is a great choice. it's not a large facility but i definitely get the workout I need to feel confident.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had some previous experiences with other physical therapists recovering from sports related injuries. Samir quickly stood out as an extremely knowledgeable therapist with years of experience and a great responsive bedside manner. I loved coming in for my sessions and always left feeling that I worked hard on my exercises and Samir had giving me enough attention to my ailing parts. I haven’t been back in a few months but I’m gearing to go back and rehab. Honestly, I can’t see going to any other physical therapist after my experience with him and his crew of knowledgeable interns. I strongly recommend Park North Physical Therapy!

Tanisha Miles 7 years ago

Fantastic experience: All gain and no more pain! I suffered a major lower lumbar strain this past spring and I have been coming to Park North for the last seven months. What can I say? Here it goes: First there are two Sams in this practice and not of the two can variety, they are of the yes-you-can one! They don’t eat green eggs and ham but they got me walking again! Now I can’t forget Tony, he’s no tiger, but he most definitely is GRRRREAT! You’ll come for the physical therapy but stay for the company. Park North is an awesome practice staffed with knowledgeable, caring, and attentive professionals. Getting an appointment is never a problem and it is conveniently located. Thank you for everything Park North.

Fantastic experience: Sam and the staff at PNPT were highly recommended by a veteran nurse who had worked with many hip-replacement patience, and I am SO grateful for the recommendation. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about patients. I feel very lucky to have found them, and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of quality physical therapy.
