NovaCare Rehabilitation - Washington Square

Fantastic experience: I worked with Allison Hart both before and after my hip surgery and had an excellent experience during both bouts of care. She was the one who figured out what the nature of my injury was, recommended where to go for surgical repair, and rehabilitated me after the surgery, which was great because she was already familiar with my case. She was very dedicated and insightful, and really challenged me so that I could become stronger and heal. It's been a long journey to recovery but I am so glad that she was there every step of the way.

Fantastic experience: I came in with a broken femur a few months ago, and Alli has been amazing every step of the way of my long and painful healing process. The facility is great, all of the staff is pleasant and great at listening and making sure their patients are comfortable with and understanding the exercises they need. With her and all of their help, I continue to make progress even as insurance tries to deny future (necessary) visits; she continues to stand up for patients’ rights and needs. I would literally not be walking at all today were it not for Alli and the rest of the great staff at this facility.

Fantastic experience: Physical therapist Allison Hart not only helped me with my injuries, but she also taught me to strengthen in a way that I can avoid new physical problems. I have learned so much from her. She listens with care and concern, and comes up with creative, efficient training plans. Her knowledge is vast. She is the ultimate professional, and a true healer. I adore her. I recommend her to anyone who needs to address aches and pains.

Fantastic experience: Allison Hart the physical therapist at Novacare Washington Square Farm Journal Bldg is definitely one of the best physical therapist that I have ever had the pleasure of working with, she is a true asset to that team. Positive experience: This is my second therapy occasion with NovaCare at Washington Square. The therapists are friendly and caring. The environment is bright and clean. The therapy is excellent. However, the entrance at the Farm Journal Building is a bit difficult to find. The main entrance is on a rather non-descript street (Manning Street) across from Pennsylvania Hospital. The other entrance is directly across from Washington Square and is clearly visible but has been closed ever since Covid. Now that Covid is pretty much over, why has this entrance remained closed ? Parking is also an issue although valet parking is available.

Fantastic experience: My physical therapist was Allison Hart and she did a fantastic job! She treated me for an uncommon concern and met me at my baseline and tailored the program specific to what I was looking for. She was very dedicated and innovative. I really enjoyed working with Allison, as she is a talented physical therapist.

Fantastic experience: I have thoroughly enjoyed my first experience with Physical Therapy. NovaCare and especially the specialist Mark assigned to me were extremely professional and knowledgable of my back pain. I saw immediate positive results and highly recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My experience working with my physical therapist, Alison Hart, was life-changing. I thought I was coming in because of a dragging foot, post surgery. But Alison taught me a series of exercises for Parkinson symptoms. When I came in initially I was falling often and walking was effortful and a chore. Now that I have completed my physical therapy I haven't fallen at all. Walking still takes a lot of attention but I can do it successfully. My physical therapy has made a great difference in my life.

Fantastic experience: I have had a lot of rehab over the years but was never impressed as I am with NovaCare on Washington Square, Philadelphia. Everyone I encountered on the staff has been helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant, and my therapist, Ian Metcalfe, is remarkable: kind, patient, careful, understanding, and extremely knowledgeable. He has followed my surgeon's specifications exactly and with concern for my situation and age.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff at this NovaCare were exceptional, but above all Dr. Allison Hart was a wonderful physical therapist, who greatly helped me after I got a high ankle sprain at work. She was very thorough in my rehabilitation process, keeping me on track week to week until I am now able to move properly again without pain! I recommend her highly!

Fantastic experience: Allison Hart is amazing. After an injury to my achilles I was feeling defeated. Allison helped me make goals and encouraged me to never give up. When the gym was filled with people she found a way to make sure I was her focus. She was patient with me and listened to me. I looked forward to seeing her weekly who looks forward to hard work? Allison made it easy.You can tell she loves her job and loves helping people. Yesterday was my last day ,I left with the strength and confidence I had before my injury. I owe it all to Allie.

Fantastic experience: Allison Hart at NovaCare Rehabilitation is amazing, a very professional, knowledgeable and attentive therapist. After my shoulder surgery I could barely lift my arm a few inches. Allison has gotten my range of motion and strength back to, if not better than before my surgery. I have practiced and taught yoga for years. I was concerned that I would never do either again after my accident. Not only did Allison director my PT toward my recovery but specifically toward my yoga practice. I am happy to report I am practicing and teaching again thanks to Allison and the Novacare team. The best physical therapy I have ever had! The staff at Novacare and Allison specifically are fantastic, polite, caring, and focused. Please don't trust your recovery to anyone else.

Fantastic experience: I have been going every week for rehab on my rotator cuff tear. This staff is friendly, welcoming, and professional. I have felt completely safe during this pandemic and continued with my course of treatment. The real thanks goes to my physical therapist Mark. Mark has worked with me and always goes the extra mile. I always feel better when I leave. I couldn't recommend a more qualified, intelligent, and personable physical therapist!

Fantastic experience: Novacare Washington Square is well equipped and contemporary. My therapist, Allison Hart, is just over the top fabulous. I am a physician, 8 weeks out from Achilles reconstruction after rupture at age 65. Allison has listened to my goals (return to sport), developed a plan, and is monitoring that plan precisely. Many institutions offer recovery after Achilles repair protocols, this is truly individualized and focused. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the options available at Novacare Washington Square and about Allison who is guiding me through the process of recovery.

Fantastic experience: I did not have a good opinion of todays PT world but Jim Pelusio changed that by his attentive, knowlegable, caring style. I have been recommending him to friends and I recommend him to anyone reading this. He's the best!

Fantastic experience: My therapist Allison was amazing to work with! I was walking with a limp after breaking my foot, and Allison helped me build strength to correct my gait and get back to practice my hobby as a circus artist. I felt like she understood my unique goals and tailored a plan specifically for me. She was really knowledgeable about how the body works and was great at cueing minor adjustments to maximize the effectiveness of the exercises. I would recommend her to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I would like to commend my physical therapist Allison for fixing my rotator cuff pain during a six-week rehab program! I am 76 and a daily lap swimmer, and feared I would have to retire from this activity. But now I am good to go, and look so much forward to my days at the pool in the summer sun. Fantastic experience: NovaCare's rehab services are top notch. I went to the Washington Square location and saw Mark Bailey. He was able to decrease my pain level in my shoulder, increase my mobility and was enjoyable to work with. I actually loved going to PT. I would highly recommend Mark and NovaCare.

Fantastic experience: Allison was literally my lifesaver when I was dealing with a severe concussion. She was patient, thoughtful and treated me with enormous respect as I navigated my way through recovery. I can't say enough about her medical knowledge and her ability to identify the right treatment for my injury. I highly recommend this center and especially Allison.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable staff. I had a serious problem with my lower back and I almost fully recovered within 4 weeks of biweekly physical therapy. They also provided me with a detailed plan for exercising at home. Very clean facility, also following the COVID regulations. I highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: The Physical Therapy training that I received from Alexis Neilson, PT at NovaCare was exceptional. She was extremely knowledgeable and imparted that knowledge to me such that I am successfully rehabilitating my ankle after surgery. Fantastic experience: I LOVE NOVA CARE! I've been coming here for around two months, and, honestly, I'm so impressed by the kind and caring people who work here. I've been working with Tahira - from day one, she worked with me to develop a special plan to help me rebuild my strength - even doing extra research to figure out which exercises could help me. Everyone is super friendly and nice - they're made my recovery so much more bearable!

Fantastic experience: A top notch team of caring, expert therapists that get results. They treated me twice successfully a few years ago for two different issues and are doing so now. Ms. Tahira Collier, my therapist, is excellent. I tried another office at Penn recommended by the specialist but this group is by far superior and I am glad that I trusted my past experience and returned to them.

Fantastic experience: The therapists at NovaCare Washington Square are simply superb! Of course, they assess your problem(s) carefully and thoroughly; they are complete professionals. They ask question after question to nail down exactly what ails you, to decide which movements and exercises are right for your problem(s) and for YOU, and to explain clearly everything that's going on. More than that expert professionalism, however, they do all of this with unfailing patience, encouragement, and good humor. If you need physical therapy, this is THE place to go.

Fantastic experience: I had an awesome physical therapist named Alyssa McCullough When I started I had pain in my right knee. After 4 wks of pt I am pain free thanks to Alyssa if I need pt again I will certainly go back to NovaCare Rehabilitation at 230 W.Washington Square Philadelphia PA 5th for.

Fantastic experience: I am very happy that I chose NovaCare Rehabilitation for my physical therapy. Their hours are great and have allowed me to go before or after work, which is perfect. They also spend a significant amount of one-on-one time with each patient. I feel like the PT sessions have really helped me. The staff is also very friendly. My physical therapist has been Tahira Collier who has been very informative and delightful to work with. Would definitely recommend PT here, especially for people working in Old City or near by.

Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful place, Tahira and Jehmiah have been taking great care of me for quite a few weeks. They have taught me many treatments and stretches that I can apply when I am not at the facility. I have an ongoing problem with my feet which I have had for years and I am very thankful that my doctor recommended physical therapy. Do not hesitate to request these ladies, if you are suffering with any type of pain, you won't be sorry.
