Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Athletica Center of Excellence for the past 6 months. I had injured my knee and back during one of my runs and came here at the recommendation of a friend. Sandi quickly assessed the degree of my injuries and created a hands-on treatment plan that has brought a tremendous healing and transformation to my body, addressing last year's injury as well as the past trauma on my body. I am stronger and healthier because of this treatment. The environment is very laid back, and the staff is passionate about helping people. They have become an extended family. I am grateful to have found them and recommend them highly.

Fantastic experience: Athletica is a physical therapy practice in a league of their own. My experience finding a physical therapist in Phoenix has been met with disappointment prior to coming here. The skilled and caring physical therapists and aids have a hands on approach that is extraordinarily effective plus, no never feel as though the staff are just going through the motions here. They interact with patients, listen to their needs, and work with each individual to achieve optimal health. I cannot stress enough the difference between this clinic and those run by large corporations that are more focused on the clock than the patient. I would recommend Althletica Center of Excellence to anyone that want's a healing environment staffed with highly skilled professionals. I can't believe how much better I feel!

Fantastic experience: I did not believe in physical therapy, but Sandi at Fyzical Desert Ridge has healed my hip and back pain. For over 10 years after having children, I had inner hip/back pain. After many MRIs I was told to do myofascial release therapy. Sandi is an expert and I cannot recommend her enough. After my success, my husband also started going to her for lower back pain. The therapists at this office are pleasant and competent, it is a very positive and inviting environment.

Fantastic experience: The absolute best therapy place. I've been in & out of therapy places since I was a teenager. I'm 45 now & the staff is the best. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and communicate well. I feel safe at this facility. I have PTSD, so I have sad/ off days. I will tell them & they shift their energy to help me relax. I have been there in separate therapies. My back, neck, vertigo & ankles. The building, equipment, waiting area, bathroom, and backrooms are all clean. There is plenty of parking outside, and they have beautiful plants inside. I highly recommend this business

Fantastic experience: I have been to many physical therapists in the valley and this group has far exceeded any I have encountered in the past. I worked with Nick and Hilary. Nick was outstanding in assessing my needs and establishing a treatment plan. Both Nick and Hilary were constantly by my side watching my every move to make sure I was doing everything correctly and documenting everything. We also had fun in the process!

Fantastic experience: Sandy and staff provided excellent personalized care; they worked with me on two challenging surgeries over the past few years: rotator cuff and knee replacement. I have fully recovered ahead of schedule on both and give them a great deal of credit on how successful my rehab went. This is not a cookie cutter PT office where production is the main goal; they provide warm personal care, maintain a flexible schedule for follow up appointments and meet you where you are at sensitive to your limits. I highly recommend this practice!!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with FYZICAL when I needed a second round of therapy after a hip replacement. I was unable to walk more than half a block without pain due to muscle issues. Now I can do almost whatever I want pain free. I worked with Cody Carlstrom, who was amazing! He taught me how to stretch and how to deal with issues as they come up. I highly recommend FYZICAL.

Fantastic experience: Recently, I found this fabulous "niche" Physical Therapy Group in northeast Phoenix, east of Desert Ridge Mall on HIGH STREET near 56th Street-"FYZICAL THERAPY & BALANCE CENTER!" They offer the highly specialized and certified field of "MYOFACIAL RELEASE." The therapists here "apply gentle sustained pressure directly on the skin without oils, creams nor machinery to eliminate chronic pain and restore motion." Thanks to them, I no longer need continued massage therapy nor chiropractic treatments. Some physical therapy groups lack the enthusiasm that is demonstrated by the staff at this particular location. I went in for vertigo & migraines and Nick & Jordan, who was being trained by Nick really worked on improving my condition. They listened to my concerns & adjusted treatments when necessary. Fantastic experience: A wonderful team! My first appointment, I worked with Sandi and left the office already feeling relief of some pain. Finally after searching for the right therapy, I knew this would be the place that could finally heal me. Hilary is extremely knowledgeable and fantastic at what she does. She makes you feel comfortable and at ease and really listens to what you need regarding your therapy. With Hilary, every day I leave feeling better than I arrived. Mary is always a pleasure and greets everyone with a smile when checking in and though I haven't worked with Nick directly, I always hear patients singing his praise. I'll be extremely sad when my therapy is complete but would go back to Fyzical Therapy in a heartbeat!

Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful place that I would recommend to anyone needing physical therapy. I have been here many times for various things; including my lower back, rotator cuff, balance issues after brain surgery, and a occipital cervical fusion. They will explain what they are doing and address all parts of the body that are affected, which many don't. From playing sports I've gone to physical therapy three times in the past. And, I have to say they're the best. They are also very kind and a fun group. And Nick is a great addition to the team, and is helping with my upkeep with my fusion. So you will be in a relaxed and fun environment, even if you are in some pain. But this will help make doing all the exercises easier.

Fantastic experience: I came in hardly able to stand with an aggravated disc in my lower spine. Fyzical Therapy and Balance were hands on and I felt much better even before leaving my appointment. I have continued to get better each day. Very grateful.

Fantastic experience: I have been an athlete my whole life through college which unfortunately has meant A LOT of PT! Needless to say, I have become very picky in my selection of PTs. This time around, I broke my foot in two different places and had a tendon repair. After being non weight bearing for 3 months I knew I was going to have to find an amazing PT that could help me not only be able to use my foot normally again for day to day activities, but as well be able to do strenuous activities again. I was recommended Fyzical Therapy and am beyond thankful for the great recommendation. I cannot say enough great things about the staff. They are all incredible at communication, always make you feel welcome and very knowledgeable. I worked with Sandi who was able to work with me and pinpoint the exact area that needed the most work. Once we found my trigger point my foot was able to start its healing process and I began to improve quickly. They also have the Juvent machine that helps to stimulate healing and played a pivotal role in my recovery!!! Overall, I would highly recommend Fyzical and would go back to them time and time again.

Fantastic experience: First rate facility. I was recommended by a trainer that works with cancer patients. After numerous abdominal surgeries I needed to get relief from pain due to scar tissue. I have been to other physical therapy facilities and they can not compare to the care and support I have received from Sandi, Mary, Kimberly and Molly. I am very pleased with the results so far. Fantastic experience: I am a 70-year-old man who had a wonderful experience with two months of therapy prescribed by my orthopedic surgeon to alleviate pain and inflammation in my ankle and Achilles tendon. When I started I had little/no flexibilty in either ankle and I had a swollen, rock-hard and painful right Achlles. In addition, my balance was very unsteady. As of this morning I have very good flexibilty in my ankles, the swelling and hardness in my Achilles has been dramatically reduced and there is no pain in either the ankle or the tendon. My balance is also much improvedThe therapist I worked with most was Mollie, but three others stepped in when scheduling was a problem and they were great too. The entire staff has been friendly and professional throughout the process and I am grateful for the exclelence of their work. If I ever have another problem for which physical therapy could help Fyzical is where I will go.

Fantastic experience: In 2013 my husband had a hip replacement and used a couple of different physical therapist. In 2015 my husband had a knee replacement and started physical therapy with Athletica, now Fyzical. Now this is what physical therapy should be! Stretching, massage, endurance and balance work. Sandy and her crew worked him hard and he was back hiking in no time. Now five years later my husband had his other knee replaced. We didn’t hesitate to call Fyzical again. They are pinpointing what needs to be worked on and I am confident he’ll be hiking in the desert with our dog in no time.

Fantastic experience: FYZICAL IS AMAZING! The staff is soo kind and encouraging! They have a type of massage therapy called Myofascial Release, it is incredible! I had never had a therapeutic massage that I didn't cry through because of the pain...Myofascial Release is actually super relaxing, and has even more therapeutic value. It has helped me so much! They have taught me techniques to help my body heal and have less pain. You're going to love this place!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to see Sandi Salazar off and on for 5 years. She has helped me through chronic hip and back pain, a broken ankle, and vertigo. She is the first person, after 10 years of physical therapist and orthopedic surgeons and cortisone shots, that created a pain free life for me. This is not your average PT office. They perform myofacial release and work on balance and achieveable goals. They do not believe in the “knuckles of pain” solution, or “no pain no gain”. Gentle and knowledgeable. I came to FYZICAL after a total hip replacement in August 2018 and 10 sessions of "regular PT". I still had a lot of pain and discomfort and very limited range of motion in my new R hip, as well as my L hip, which had also been diagnosed as needing to be replaced. Then I heard about Myofascial Release and how owner Sandi Salazar's knowledge, skill and expertise in this modality of treatment had changed her patient's lives for the better! Sandi and her team (Molly, Kimberly & Mary) are dedicated and passionate about advancing their patient's health & wellness. I am so pleased and grateful for the progress I've experienced from Myofascial Release and exercises......markedly decreased pain and discomfort, increased range of motion, as well as increased strength, endurance, balance and stability. Fantastic experience: The ladies at Fyzical are amazing! They helped me out my with my knee and neck a while ago and currently they are helping my 16 yr old rehab from an “unhappy triad” knee injury. Sandi had her doing “prehab” exercises- once the pre-surgical appt came along, the doctor told her she’d be doing those same exercises after surgery! Needless to say, this proactive, knowledgeable approach has helped my daughter post surgery. From the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave you are treated with kindness, professionalism and respect. I would highly recommend the Fyzical team.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been discouraged in past of the benefits of PT.After having been to many “Claimed” PT specialist I’ve discovered the complexities of PT.Many offices are focused on how much money they can make and really don’t care about their patients recovery.They funnel as many patients thru each day as they can making it difficult to provide adequate care individually.Fyzical Therapy I’ve found does not operate that way.Sandi has a well organized, dedicated crew of therapists who pay close attention to each of there patients needs.Mary has helped me keep appointments when my transportation showed there incompetence.Molly is there every day, even with an hour long commute she continues to impress me. Kimberly has extensive knowledge and valuable experience dealing with her husbands spinal fusion at home.I believe this particular office has a very special way of driving there patients to heal. I would be happy to recommend to anyone in need of PT to use Fyzical on Tatum near Desert Ridge.

Fantastic experience: I had a micro discectomy, in August, for an L4-L5 herniation. My neurosurgeon, Dr. Vishteh, recommended Fyzical Therapy & Balance Center on Tatum Blvd. for my recovery. He wanted me to see therapists, who would not push me too hard, nor too fast. Although it was a longer drive for me, I was worried about injuring myself, and I opted for Fyzical for my therapy. This turned out to be a great decision. Every member of the staff is dedicated to getting you healthy and back to doing all the things that you used to be able to do. There are so many factors that contributed to my back injury, and the staff is working on all of them. My balance, my body mechanics, my strength, and my posture were all terrible. I am astounded by the improvement after just five weeks. I used to look for the wheelchair ramps and dips, because climbing stairs was excruciating. I am now able to step up and down off curbs without assistance. My balance is improving, and I’m working on my strength and posture. I am thrilled with my progress. I highly recommend Fyzical.

The ladies there are very well trained in achieving optimum outcomes for their patients. This is not your mother’s physical therapy! It’s better and it works. Fantastic experience: I was first seen by Sandi, PT, at Fyzical, about 5 years ago. I had experienced what I call a "back crash," and was diagnosed with spondylolestheses and stenosis. I could hardly move. My husband had to help me shower. Spinal fusion was my future. The doctor(s) wouldn't/won't treat the stenosis without the spondy first being addressed. I was 55. I was referred to Sandi by a friend, and I am so thankful! Within two weeks, there was such a difference! Unlike most PT clinics, you get hands on attention, by the Physical Therapist, for a half hour! I can't currently run, but I can certainly walk and do normal acts of daily living! I was doing yoga! -until recently, when my shoulder started hurting, and I was then diagnosed with a small rotator cuff tear. No surgery needed, but I got a referral for Physical Therapy, and back to Fyzical I went!! Yep! My shoulder pain is pretty much ZERO now! Molly and Sandi are amazing!
