Hi, my name is Jenna! I was born and raised in San Luis Obispo, CA, but moved to San Diego a few years ago for school. I’m currently studying Kinesiology at San Diego State University and I eventually plan to become a PA specializing in cardiology. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, friends, and puppies! I’m very excited to be joining the Catalyst family and look forward to getting to know all patients and team members!

Hello! My name is Tayler Berblinger. I’m a San Diego native and I’m currently going to SDSU to study physical therapy. I love animals, the outdoors, lifting, hiking & surfing! I chose physical therapy because I discovered my passion after I, myself, went to PT for a Tibial Stress Fracture! At the end of the day, I’d love to help people and make a positive difference in the world. I’m beyond excited to work for Catalyst – the energy at this clinic is unmatched! Everyone is so upbeat, polite, and supportive. I’ve never learned so much in such a short amount of time with such kind, wise, and knowledgeable doctors! I’m blessed to have this opportunity, and I hope everyone enjoys their time here like I do!

Hi! I’m Natalie, but everyone calls me Fuller. I was born and raised here in San Diego, and attended school at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, where I received my B.S. in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science. After I graduated in 2018, I began working at Catalyst as a PT aide and learned so much from all the therapists. They inspired me to continue pushing myself to always be curious and ask questions. I love being active and surrounded by the health and wellness industry, so I took my career one step further. In 2020, I became a personal trainer and stretch therapist, and began working with athletes. Finally, I went back to school at Healing Hands School of Holistic Health and became a Certified Massage Therapist. My ultimate goal is to work in professional sports and become a Jack (Jane*) of all trades. I love working in Catalyst’s learning environment with these incredible people, and I look forward to becoming an asset to the Catalyst team!

Hi, my name is Kaitlyn Krehbiel and I am an undergraduate at SDSU majoring in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology. I grew up both playing and watching sports with my Dad. We would spend Saturdays going to the field and practicing or Sundays watching football. I started working at Catalyst as a volunteer and am so excited to now be an aide. All of the PTs and other aides were so welcoming and friendly. I am very excited to continue learning from everyone at Catalyst!

Kelly grew up on a ranch in Lompoc, CA. She became interested in physical therapy while in high school due to some injuries while running track. She went to Allan Hancock College before transferring to California State University Fresno where she received her BS in PT and then her Masters in PT.

Kelly and her now retired husband lived in the Bass Lake, CA area for 22 years before moving to San Diego. They have a 25 year old daughter and the three of them love to travel.

Kelly has over 25 years of experience treating patients of all ages and a wide variety of diagnoses. Her goal is to help people get to or stay at a functional level so that they can enjoy all aspects of their life. Her motto is that tomorrow is not guaranteed, so do everything you want to do now.

Lindsay was born and raised in San Diego. She completed her undergraduate degree in Salem, OR at Willamette University before moving down to Orange County to finish up her doctorate in physical therapy at Chapman University in 2018. She worked in an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Orange County prior to moving back home to San Diego in September 2021 to join the Catalyst Team!

Lindsay first became interested in physical therapy after her first injury as a high school soccer player. She saw many of her teammates go through injuries of their own throughout her soccer career, and was inspired to become a physical therapist! She has since had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients. She has a passion for helping her athletes of all ages get back to their sport, but also loves working on helping all of her patients live well-rounded lifestyles! Since starting with Catalyst, Lindsay has branched out into working with soccer clubs in the North County San Diego area for injury prevention and strength/agility training. She has developed an on-field screening assessment to identify athletes at risk for injury and enjoys helping her soccer players improve their strength, mechanics, and speed while staying healthy long term!

Lindsay is stoked to be a part of the Catalyst Team! The integrated approach to health and wellness allows us to work together with our Catalyst team of health professionals – including massage therapists, physical therapists, & personal trainers – to get our patients back to 110% and keep them healthy and active for the rest of their lives!

Outside of the clinic Lindsay loves being outdoors. She enjoys mountain biking, running, rock climbing, hiking, and camping. She is a cat mom to her little Olive and has too many plants at home to count! She volunteers as the president for the Physical Therapy Alumni Network for Chapman University and loves helping current physical therapy students find their way into our profession!

Andrew is new to San Diego, from the Pacific Northwest, mainly Seattle. He has been a physical therapist for 7 years, and was trained on the sunny east coast of Australia. Andrew’s main goal for all of his patients is to improve their quality of life, have a smart return to the activities they love, and to enjoy the process of making life-long changes. Life is full of challenges and he wants to help guide his patients safely back to health. In his free time he enjoys golfing, surfing, cooking and traveling with his fiance’, Christine. He is excited to be part of the Catalyst because of the team’s upbeat and positive attitude and the high quality of physical therapy the company demands.

Andrew’s main interest outside of general orthopedic ailments is golf related injuries. He has been a recreational golfer from a young age and loves hitting the links with his friends and family. Helping injured golfers back out on the course is his top priority. He loves the golf community and wants you to be out there making memories too!

We strongly encourage you to give Andrew a try if you’re looking to get more out of your body on the golf course. It doesn’t matter your skill level. If you’re looking to last longer in the sport, gain distance while hitting, improve your swing mechanics through training or bodywork then Andrew is your guy!

Hello! My name is Alex and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I graduated with a B.A. in Sociology and Environmental Studies in 2017 from a small liberal arts college in Michigan. During college, I played lacrosse and I was also a part of my school’s Athletic Training program. While I was growing up, I lived a very active lifestyle. I played every sport I had time for and I loved to be outside. Later in life, this passion for movement translated to a will to help others feel more active and mobile in their lives like I have had the privilege to do in my life. I am excited and humbled to be a part of such a friendly and knowledgeable team. As PT Aide, I hope to bring my passion for Physical Therapy to the table to help others achieve their physical goals. I spend most of my time rock climbing, surfing, backpacking through the wilderness, and simply getting to know the beautiful and vast world around me. I have many hobbies but most of all, I love being active outside and learning all I can along the way. Cheers!

Hey, I’m Vince! I was born and raised here in San Diego, and did my undergraduate at San Diego State University. Growing up my parents really got me involved in many different activities. I grew up swimming competitively, as well as wrestled and played water polo during high school. Nowadays I really enjoy spending my free time rock climbing, surfing and traveling. I hope to one day attend graduate school and become a licensed Physical Therapist. But, in the meantime, I’m really grateful for everything Catalyst Physical Therapy and Wellness has offered me, and am excited to continue working here with such an amazing group of people.

Hi, my name is David! I was born and raised in California and have been living in San Diego for the past 8 years. I grew up active and loved playing any type of sport. Before I graduated high school, I enlisted in the Navy and spent six years living in different parts of the country and visiting quite a few countries. I realized I wanted to be a Physical Therapist when I got out of the military and thus began schooling right away. I’m now a Kinesiology major with a Pre-PT emphasis at SDSU. In my free time I enjoy weightlifting, hiking with my dog and wife, and reading. I’m honored to work beside the knowledgeable, caring staff at Catalyst and I hope to learn as much as I can during my time here.

Hi, I’m Sophie! I love being outdoors and hiking, running, and pretty much anything that’s active! In the future, I want to either get my MD, or a PhD in Kinesiology. I’m excited to be an aide at Catalyst as I earn my master’s in Kinesiology so I can get some hands-on experience with patients!

Hi, I’m Alexis! I grew up in Reno & went on to pursue my dreams of competing as a D1 gymnast at UNC Chapel Hill! I graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sport Science and Psychology. My hobbies include hiking, reading, and crocheting! I love to travel, so if you have any “must see” places be sure to stop by the front desk and tell me all about them. I’m so grateful to work alongside such an inspiring crew at Catalyst & love watching our patients exceed their wellness goals.

Ross’ values include an active lifestyle focused on maximizing the overall health picture of the mind and body for others and himself. He received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of Southern California (USC) in 2019 after completing his Bachelor’s degrees in Athletic Training and Applied Health Science at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) in 2016. His areas of interest and experience include treating and preventing orthopedic injuries within the sports of golf, baseball, rugby, snow sports, beach sports and soccer.

Ross has enjoyed pursuing many professional passions, especially as a Certified Athletic Trainer outside of the PT clinic. Notable experiences include working with the San Diego Legion Rugby Club, San Clemente Rhinos Rugby Academy, Belmont Shore Rugby Club, and various youth sports tournaments across Southern California. Ross worked specifically with baseball, interning with the Cleveland Indians Baseball organization and PLNU baseball team. This additional perspective helps with the treatment of athletic injuries in the PT clinic and achieving return to the field of play at a peak level of competition.

Ross is excited to be working at Catalyst Physical Therapy and Wellness where each staff member displays professionalism and integrity while helping patients achieve their individual goals. He firmly believes that to optimize injury recovery a collaborative relationship and individualized plan of care is the top priority. He practices active listening, thorough physical examination/movement analysis, and meaningful treatment to improve the way someone moves and functions.

On the weekends, you can expect Ross to be outdoors in some capacity. He enjoys snowboarding, golfing, SUPing, working with rugby clubs, backpacking, playing city league softball, or running Spartan Races. He is recently wedded to Tori, who is a NICU nurse, and they look to build an amazing life together in sunny San Diego.

I was born and raised in Illinois in a very athletic, competitive family. I am the middle of 3 boys, so things were usually pretty crazy growing up. I have one daughter, who is now married and has started a family of her own. I moved to California in 2016 to be with my now fiancé, Amy. After 25 years in the manufacturing industry, in 2017 I decided it was time to make some life changes. I chose to go into Massage Therapy, completing my 1,000-Hour Holistic Health Practitioner Program from Healing Hands School of Holistic Health in 2019. My goal is to work with athletes of all ages and skill levels. I am extremely passionate about helping people in all athletic aspects, including the recovery process and becoming the best they can be!

I’m excited for the opportunity to work at Catalyst Physical Therapy and Wellness. I look forward to working with such a talented and experienced staff. The environment at CPTW is one that will allow me to grow as a practitioner, and become the best I can be.

Hello, my name is Mariedel! I attended IPSB Massage Therapy College where I received my Associate’s degree in Holistic Health. My concentration was in NMT (Neuromuscular Therapy) and traditional Thai, but I love using NMT work more. I was also trained in lymphatic drainage massage that is used in Brazil, which is more of a body sculpting with lymphatic drainage built into it. I am also currently enrolled at SDSU for Speech, Language, and Hearing. I love helping people, and being able to watch them improve themselves!

Jena is part of the Catalyst Management Team, handling all things Front Office and HR. She started out her career in exercise science, completing a Master’s in Exercise Physiology from SDSU, and working as a personal trainer and exercise physiologist in various rehab settings. Jena also dabbled a bit into writing, creating blog content for health and fitness companies, namely NASM and Wildfire.

Though no longer personal training, Jena loves using her administrative and management skills to help Catalyst clients get high quality care, and help make the company a great place to work for employees. Jena has worked with the owner of Catalyst, Brian Wilson, on and off for the past 10 years, and can’t say enough about Catalyst’s culture, community, and top-notch services…she couldn’t imagine working anywhere else!

Missy is a native San Diegan and received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from San Diego State University. As part of her graduate work, Missy had the privilege of working at Catalyst for an 8-week clinical rotation, where she learned from and worked alongside Kristen and Brian. She also had the opportunity to do a mixed orthopedic and pediatric rotation at another clinic, which inspired her to become both an orthopedic and pediatric therapist so she can work with patients of all ages. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Missy loves being able to combine her love of treating musculoskeletal injuries in adults as well as helping kids of all ages achieve milestones and interact more easily with the world around them.

Brian Wilson is the founder and president of Catalyst Physical Therapy & Wellness. His journey towards physical therapy began as a high school biology teacher and varsity soccer coach in an urban school district in Kansas City, Missouri where he grew up. He, like many of his colleagues, trained athletes the way he had been coached only to find out that not all bodies are built to withstand the same rigors of sport and life. Seeking out advice on how to cure his injured athletes, Brian stumbled into an open house for physical therapy. After conversing and picking the brain of several university professors, Brian found himself being interviewed for a position in the upcoming Master’s class. From that night on, Brian has been on a mission to change the way people treat their bodies.

He earned his Master’s in Physical Therapy (MPT) from Rockhurst University in 2006 and moved to California the following year to pursue experience in the field of functional physical therapy. He routinely draws from his teaching and coaching days to help people from all ages and walks of life to find purpose behind working out and becoming healthy. He uses his infectious personality to motivate others, regardless of their current status, to grow beyond their prior level of function and become better than they ever knew possible.

When Brian is not in the clinic with patients, he can be found teaching and inspiring other professionals striving to become the best in the health and wellness industry. In 2016 and 2017, Brian taught at Point Loma Nazarene University in the Masters of Kinesiology program. He views physical therapists as musculoskeletal pain experts that should serve as guides to people looking for understanding about their bodies’ limits. He knows there is a lack of communication in the health industry between Eastern and Western health practitioners, and he seeks to change that through the expansion of holistic wellness studios, like Catalyst.

During his free time, Brian finds his greatest joy in getting to be a kid again while playing with his 3 children and wife, Alicia. Since becoming a “Wilson Party of Five” he has found less time for his racing endeavors as a triathlete and road cyclist. However, he wouldn’t trade his new roles in for the world and now enjoys traveling, climbing, fishing, hiking, camping, running, cycling, snowboarding and adventure racing – in moderation of course! ☺

In 2012, Kristen began working for the United States Soccer Federation with youth, Paralympic and Olympic level teams. She was primarily with the US Women’s National Soccer Team as they prepared for and won the 2015 Women’s World Cup in Canada. In 2016, Kristen stepped away from traveling with the team to start her family, but she has been fortunate to work with athletes of all levels and loves the competitive drive professional athletes bring to the table. Most recently, Kristen has gotten back involved with Women’s Professional Soccer through our partnership with San Diego Wave FC as one of therapists working with the team.

Kristen taught at Point Loma Nazarene University in the Masters of Kinesiology program alongside Brian in 2016. They love working with each other in the classroom setting and feel they both have something very special to offer students. Kristen is a well-organized individual with good connections and a strong reputation for delivering quality patient care and educating students in various settings. She takes great pride in mentoring our staff and encouraging growth as people and professionals.

Kristen is very passionate about her work, but truly appreciates the simple joys she finds in the day-to-day with her family. Her time is filled with her young children, Adelyn and Cooper, her husband, Andrew, and their goldendoodle, Kali! They are quite the crew and can be found outside enjoying all of San Diego’s sunshine!

My name is Casandra, and I was born and raised in El Paso, TX. I’ve been living in San Diego for eight years and am currently studying at Cal State San Marcos for my undergrad in Kinesiology with the goal to continue into PT school to become a physical therapist one day. My interest in PT sparked when I endured an ACL injury in high school playing basketball. I enjoy being active and also enjoy eating great food. I think San Diego is the perfect place for both! I am grateful to be part of such an amazing team; I’m excited to gain experience from such knowledgeable staff in order to begin helping people through movement!

In my free time, I am always trying to check another thing off my bucket list by learning and engaging in new things, traveling, and site-seeing. I also love all things art, hiking, and spending time with my friends and family. I truly am so excited to work at Catalyst because of the positive environment and genuine team I will be working with. It is clear how knowledgeable each and every member of the team is and I am really grateful to have the chance to be a part of that and to be able to watch every unique patient’s journey toward recovery here.

Hi Y’all! I’m Tekeiya (Ta-Key-Uh) , a fiery Aries originally from Richmond, Virginia and have recently relocated to San Diego. I graduated from Radford University in 2017 with a degree in business management, but helping people has always been my passion and that is what pulled me towards wanting to work in a physical therapy setting. Outside of work I love to watch football (Go Commanders!) and to cook. I like to consider myself a Marvel nerd, I have watched every movie in order at least 3 times. I also love The Office so stop on by the front desk and give me your favorite Office quote :).

Hi, I’m Kiona! I’m originally from the Bay Area but moved down here for school to attend SDSU. I am currently studying bioengineering and aspire to create innovative designs that can be applied in the medical field. In my free time I love to go into nature and attempt to be mindful in the moment as I either paint, read, or listen to music. Hi, my name is Astri Pulliam! I was born and raised in Northern California and I’m currently studying kinesiology at SDSU. After I graduate, I plan to go to PA school in hopes of becoming a Physician Assistant specializing in sports medicine. I grew up playing soccer, which has led me to love staying active and become interested in the field of sports medicine. In my free time, I love to workout, hike, go to the beach, listen to music, and spend time with family and friends! I’m so excited to be a part of such a great team at Catalyst!

Hey! I’m Eduardo. I was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and raised in a small town inside California’s Central Valley. In 2019 I moved to San Diego to finish my undergraduate degree at SDSU. I earned a B.S. in Kinesiology shortly after and decided to stay in Southern California to work towards my goal of becoming a strength and conditioning coach for a collegiate or professional soccer team. I am really excited to join the Catalyst team and get to know all of our awesome patients. See you in the gym!

Hi, I’m Zach! I grew up in Thousand Oaks, California, and am studying Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Therapy at San Diego State University. I got my interest in physical therapy after getting injured throughout the years playing basketball competitively, and always being in a PT clinic recovering. Recently, I’ve been more motivated by my mom after she tore her meniscus, and I wanted to do anything to help her recover as fast as possible so she can travel and stay active as she loves to do.

I love traveling and being active too, mainly playing basketball, hiking, and going to the gym. I enjoy more mellow activities just as much, relaxing at the beach, listening to music, reading, cooking, playing video games, and watching sports. In the future, I want to help people prevent and recover from injuries so they can go back to doing the activities they love.

Catalyst has an amazing team that is so welcoming, helpful, and educated about human movement and I’m super excited to work here, and keep learning from them while helping out patients.

Hi I’m Dylan! I was born and raised here in San Diego and developed a passion for sports and fitness at an early age. I’m excited to be apart of the Catalyst team and look forward to learning as much as possible!

Audra was born in a tiny town in Illinois. She grew up playing all different sports, but in high school, found a passion for running. During that time, she attended physical therapy and developed a strong interest in that as a career path. She applied for the Doctoral Physical Therapy program at St. Ambrose University as a junior in high school and was accepted. She obtained her undergraduate degree at St. Ambrose University in 2011, and then continued on to get her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2013. Her graduate school education was fostered by a small class size, which allowed faculty members to provide personalized, one-on-one attention to all students. She moved to California to finish her last clinical rotation and has since fallen in love with all of the outdoor activities that sunny San Diego has to offer.

Outside of work, Audra enjoys going on adventures with her sweet doggie, hiking, camping, skiing, and of course, enjoying frequent days at the beach. Audra’s philosophy is an eclectic approach to patient care, including interventions of joint mobilization, and various methods of soft tissue mobilizations, corrective exercises, therapeutic taping, and postural correction through biomechanical analysis. She utilizes her ASTYM techniques as well as myofascial decompression, “cupping,” as an adjunct to her other manual skills. She has taken introductory yoga instructor classes, and incorporates that knowledge into her treatments as well.

Audra is certified in Applied Functional Science and uses a more global approach to treating each patient as a whole body vs just an injured body part. She is constantly trying to improve her techniques to become a better provider and help others to achieve their health and wellness goals!

Hi! I’m Annie, I moved to San Diego from Seattle in 2002 to manage a Wholesale Beauty Supply store and try my hand at living in a new state. After soaking up all of the sunshine possible in that first year, I decided this was where I belonged, and never looked back!

Health and fitness are my passions, and when I’m not exercising and meal prepping, you can find me at the ice rink watching hockey or exploring all the amazing food San Diego has to offer. I love to spend time with my family, mainly watching movies, playing games, traveling and eating!

After getting married, having 2 kids and spending most of my years as a stay-at-home-mom, I joined the Catalyst team to get back into what I love; working hard and helping people. I have a background in management and love to work with a great team! I’m currently the Office Manager at our Mission Valley location and oversee our other locations in Point Loma and 4S Ranch. I love to surround myself with like minded people and Catalyst has become my home away from home! My goal at Catalyst is to make sure our patients and staff are taken care of and are happy.

The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable that I cannot wait to continue my time here as a PT aide.

Jonathan Fong earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Fresno State University in 2020. He grew up in the Bay Area, and earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology at San Jose State with an emphasis in movement science. His interest in PT sparked when he watched his mother recover from a broken leg, and learn to walk again with training from skilled physical therapists. He also was able to see how movement improved his grandparents’ quality of life, and how PT is vital for the geriatric population. Outside of work, he enjoys training martial arts: Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, relaxing on the beach, and living an active lifestyle. Jon has been having an amazing time working with the Catalyst PT and Wellness Team. He has a passion working with martial artists, basketball players, swimmers, and the temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) disorder population. Specialized techniques include high velocity, low amplitude thrusts (HVLATS), also known as “adjustments,” followed by neuromuscular retraining of muscles to provide long term benefits for strength and range of motion for his clients.

In her spare time, you may spot Bess hiking the California coast with her fiance – soon to be husband in the Fall 2022 – wine tasting with friends, and spending quality time with family. She is originally a Midwesterner which becomes clear when you get her talking about her Cubbies. Along with her healing hands, she has wisdom beyond her years and we are happy to have her Jimmy Buffet radio station on Fridays contributing to Catalyst PT and Wellness. Bess is excited to be working at CPTW because the culture is centered around providing exceptional service while maintaining a down to earth local San Diego vibe.

Katherine grew up in University City, a San Diego suburb. She was introduced to the world of physical therapy after numerous knee injuries from playing soccer. She moved to Northern California for college at UC Davis, and PT school at UCSF/SFSU, before moving to Evanston, Illinois for a couple years.

She is passionate about building impactful relationships with her patients, while providing well-rounded treatment to help them achieve their movement goals. She treats a wide variety of patients with various diagnoses, with a specific interest in helping patients recover from surgical procedures and lower extremity injuries or pain. She takes pride in developing treatment plans and creative exercises specific to patients’ lifestyle goals (e.g. return-to-sport, daily activity goals, etc). While Katherine takes an exercise-focused approach to treatment, she also regularly uses manual techniques such as hands-on cueing, soft tissue mobilization, and myofascial decompression (i.e. cup therapy).

Hi, I’m Aidan! I graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a BS in Applied Health,, and my goal is to one day earn my DPT and become a physical therapist. I enjoy driving my car (’03 Toyota Celica GTS, 6-speed), playing guitar, and spending time with the people I love. I love working at Catalyst because every employee is invested in the well-being of the patients, the clinic, and their coworkers. PT should be personal and individual, and I believe the staff at Catalyst make that happen.

My name is Emily, and I recently moved to San Diego to complete my undergraduate degree at SDSU with a major in Kinesiology and an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy. I enjoy being outdoors, whether that be camping, fishing, snowboarding, or hiking. I believe movement is essential in enhancing quality of life, which is why I’m so excited to be a part of the Catalyst team – I am eager to help improve the health of many.

Ryan’s approach to physical therapy is a combination of strong manual skills, including soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, craniosacral mobilization techniques and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation techniques to get his clients moving more efficiently. Manual therapy techniques are always complimented with targeted exercise to further maximize any gains, and allow clients to progress towards their goals. Ryan is excited to join the Catalyst team to work alongside a motivated and talented group of therapists in a family-oriented business, and further his knowledge and skills in Applied Functional Science techniques.

Hi I’m Alyse! I graduated from PLNU in 2020 with a B.S. in Applied Health Science and am currently applying to graduate school to become a Physician Assistant. Hi! My name is Cassidy, and I am currently an undergraduate student at SDSU studying kinesiology. I am hoping to continue into graduate school to become a physical therapist. I have loved sports all my life which included soccer, basketball, volleyball, and track and field (specifically pole vault). In high school, I was extremely interested in sports medicine and athletic training which ultimately sent me down the path to physical therapy. I have a passion for sports, fitness, and wellness for every type of person. In my free time, I love getting outside and hiking with my husband and two dogs, Willow and Luna. I am excited to be part of the Catalyst family to learn and grow while assisting others in reaching all of their wellness goals!

Hello my name is Saul Salazar and I am very excited to be a part of the Catalyst family! I’m originally from the great country of Texas where everything is bigger and better. I served in the Marine Corps for four years and separated in 2018. I am currently in a Kinesiology program at CSU San Marcos and plan to one day become a physical therapist. In my free time, I like to read, hike, play with my dogs, and just be outdoors. I look forward to growing with Catalyst Physical Therapy and Wellness and building new relationships.

Hi, my name is Thomas! I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. My whole life I have been focused on an active lifestyle playing basketball, baseball, lacrosse, and soccer throughout my childhood. More recently, my focus has really been on basketball and going to the gym. Outside of an active lifestyle, I enjoy reading new books and listening to music. I am studying Kinesiology at San Diego State University with an emphasis in Physical Therapy. My time at Catalyst began in May as a volunteer, and I could not be more excited to continue my time with the most caring and passionate staff as a PT aide.

I was born and raised in Lawrenceville, GA , but I grew up on the soccer field. I was first introduced to the field of physical therapy after going through my own rehab for multiple knee injuries, which as a result, side-lined me from collegiate soccer for 2 years. It was through these many months of rehab that I realized the potential for me to connect with athletes on a different level, and help them along a path back to the field, similar to my own.

I stayed around the Southeast for the majority of my life, playing soccer at Berry College, completing my DPT at Georgia State University, and finally completing a physical therapy residency dedicated to a sports specialization. I made the jump to explore the West Coast when I was presented with the opportunity to join the Catalyst team, and to also be a contributing clinician for SD Loyal.

When I am outside of the clinic, I am most likely on the soccer field with the team during their season. And when I am not with the team, I am usually trying to find new hikes, playing sports, or trying a new beer or coffee from the local staples.

I’m excited to be a part of the Catalyst team because I love the energy they bring to patient care, and their ability to create a fun atmosphere for everyone’s rehabilitation needs.

Hi, I’m Katie! I am originally from Indianapolis, but have lived in every corner of the country. I completed my DPT at Northwestern University, then did additional specialty training earning my Orthopedic Certified Specialty and Upper Extremity Fellowship. I’m excited to be coming on to the Catalyst Team as part of the Wave FC and Catalyst collaboration. I love coming to work every day because each and every clinician at Catalyst is motivated and excited to help achieve patient goals and successes, no matter how big or small. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy being as active as possible, whether it is by doing Crossfit or hiking the great outdoors. I became a physical therapist because I love learning each of my patient’s stories and getting them back to doing the things they love.

Rebecca is a physical therapist with a specialty in pelvic health. She originally hails from Wisconsin, but received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in 2009. Since becoming a PT, Rebecca has made pelvic dysfunction her main area of study, taking courses on Pelvic Rehab through Herman & Wallace, and working towards higher certification in the field. Rebecca’s passion for this specialty can also be observed in her community outreach, holding workshops and seminars for new moms, and other populations affected by pelvic issues.

Rebecca feels a strong alignment with Catalyst because of their holistic approach to patient care, and integration with Eastern Medicine practices. She looks forward to bringing her knowledge and passion for pelvic health to the Catalyst community!

Through countless hours of training as an elite athlete and many rehabilitation sessions, Alex developed an understanding of the unique demands being placed on the body. Through his work with Brian, Alex was drawn to the applied functional sports science approach, which he knew would assist in helping his clients reduce injuries and achieve optimum output in their respective sports.

Alex holds coaching certifications in both tennis and soccer, and is currently pursuing his National Academy of Sports Medicine CPT. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business having worked in operations management and insurance technology for large US corporations. When Alex isn’t coaching or reading up on new training techniques he enjoys spending time with his Wife Haley and Son Cooper in San Diego.

I recently graduated from the University of Oregon with a BS in Human Physiology. I am very excited to be a part of the Catalyst team. For fun, I like to hike and go to the beach. I also enjoy filmmaking as a hobby.

Hi, I’m Erica! I was born in the suburbs of Chicago, and attended San Diego State University for my undergraduate studies. I just recently graduated, and now call San Diego my home! Throughout my adolescence my passion was dancing ballet, contemporary, and jazz until I had my fair share of injuries before college. Now I enjoy exercising, yoga, snowboarding, water skiing, and of course, relaxing on the beach! My interest in physical therapy grew from my multiple experiences as a patient, and I hope to attend graduate school next year to become a licensed Physical Therapist. I would love to work with professional dancers in the future, and help them live out their dreams. I’m so excited to be a part of the Catalyst Team as an aide, and continue my learning!

Upon graduating from his Doctorate program, Adam received the Student Participation Award from the New York Physical Therapy Association for leadership qualities, initiative, involvement in community activities and humanitarian concerns. He is pursuing continuing education through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Institute of Physical Art, and Osteopathic Physicians. In his past life, he was a portrait photographer traveling around the world for various advertising and editorial clients, as well as showing his fine art work in NYC galleries.

Adam loves being outside and spending time with his family. Dr. Emily Richard, PT, DPT, is a 2006 graduate of Miami University of Ohio where she received her BS degree in Health and Sports Studies. In 2009, she graduated from Ohio University with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Emily was born and raised in Ohio and moved to San Diego in 2011 to experience better weather and new adventures. Prior to Catalyst Physical Therapy and Wellness, she worked two years in an outpatient hospital setting in Dayton, Ohio, and 8 years with Water and Sports Physical Therapy in San Diego. She is an American Physical Therapy Association certified Clinical Instructor, and has taken many students under her wing as part of their didactic clinical training. She enjoys “paying it forward” because she had wonderful clinical instructors that inspired her to want to help educate other PT students.

The daughter of two retired teachers, Emily has learned the value of education. She enjoys educating her patients about the cause of their injury and the importance of all aspects of their physical therapy journey. Emily knows what it’s like to be a patient as well. She suffered a season-ending, severe knee injury during a senior year, high school basketball game. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because one day, during her rehab, she discovered this was the profession that was meant for her. Emily has empathy for all of her patients because she, too, has gone from an injured athlete to a totally rehabilitated one. She values the use of manual therapy techniques as the primary treatment for most patients because it specifically targets problematic muscles and joints. She has been called the “posture queen” by many of her past patients because she always emphasizes the importance of anatomical alignment, ergonomics and injury prevention with the maintenance of good posture. Emily has worked with patients of all ages: from the developing eight-year-old, to the mature ninety-two-year-old with back pain and balance problems. Her proudest achievement thus far is teaching a patient to walk again after suffering a spinal cord injury.

Emily and her husband love San Diego, where they can play volleyball all year round. She participates in indoor and outdoor volleyball and has won multiple local 4-on-4 tournaments. She enjoys bike riding, taking her two dogs, Bear and Thor, to the dog park, and trying new restaurants and craft beers. Emily is also attempting a new hobby: trying not to kill her succulents. Advice from green thumb experts is always welcome:)

Hi! My name is Michelle Phinney and I am here for you! After living in Guam for several years with my 3 young boys, we made the move to San Diego in 2016 with new aspirations. I am a certified yoga instructor, and am attending school for pre-physical therapy. I believe in a holistic approach to health and healing that includes the food we choose to nourish our bodies with as well as the routines we invest our time in to encourage strength and mobility. I see a need for us as a society to not only take a step back to care for ourselves, but also to care for those around us. Whether it is a family member, friend or someone I just met I know that everyone has a story and is worthy of being heard and loved.

Fantastic experience: I saw Kat yesterday for my initial eval. She seemed very knowledgeable and I really appreciate the way she sat down with me after the session to plot out our goals and timeline. Her honesty and practicality was appreciated and gave me confidence in her skills and my recovery.

Fantastic experience: Great physical therapists who took the time to evaluate and determine what was going on with me for each session. They provided information through the app for exercises that they recommended. Audra was exceptional. I am grateful to the Catalyst staff for everything they did to get my lower back recovered and stronger! They went the extra mile.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Catalyst Physical Therapy and Wellness for over a year and half now. I originally came with some knee issues... followed by an SI joint (low back)... then for an adductor injury... and finally my current shoulder injury. For context, I have had issues being able to walk, sit, run, or stand regularly without some kind of pain since my early 20s. I've ignored this most of my life, with the exception of trying out physical therapy once with Kaiser (10/10 would not recommend if you care about your mental health too lol). Fast forward to today, I am now an avid rock climber, performing in ways I never thought I'd be able to. I've worked mostly with Patrick M. and Bess. C, both of who have done wonders to my physical health. There have been points where I even shed a tear because I was astonished at how my body was moving and feeling. For anyone looking for a QUALITY physical therapist(s), please consider Catalyst. They have multiple locations, an INSANELY knowledgable staff (including the students that do their clinical hours there). What sets Catalyst apart from the rest is that Catalyst has a clearly defined STRUCTURE & CULTURE; their staff embodies this. The amount of laughs and great conversations I've had with Bess and Patrick (and other patients and PTs!) have been great. At the age of 24, I considered the sports and activities I did in HS and college a waste of time because I was incredibly unfit by the time I was out of college in 2008. I started at Catalyst mid-late 2022. Almost 2 years with Catalyst and at the age of 35, I can walk, run, and climb hundred foot walls. It is amazing that Patrick and Bess helped me to walk and run with confidence again; however, the confidence they have given me is priceless. With this confidence, I conquered my debilitating fear of heights, and became a rock climber. The PT has been great for my body, but perhaps even greater for my confidence. Even outside of physical activities such as work, personal relationships, social gatherings etc. Thank you Patrick & Bess. You've done more for my life than just help my physical health.

Fantastic experience: I just started my therapy sessions. My therapist was interested to help me. I like the opportunity to have any additional support with Hope Katz at home. The first session went well and I signed up for multiple sessions.

Fantastic experience: This was my first session at Catalyst Physical Therapy. The front staff was very welcoming and professional. I had a question about my insurance and the staff member came out to explain in detail my deductible and the associated costs of future sessions. My therapist, Tiffany, was excellent. She listened and took notes of my concerns regarding my injury and then took ROM measurements. She was very thorough, kind and professional. We discussed my goals for therapy in order to return to my daily activities and lifestyle. Tiffany wrote out a plan for the different phases which helped me to understand how my therapy sessions would progress and the estimated time it would take to reach my goals. Overall I felt this was one of the best physical therapy clinics I have been to and I only wish I would have come here sooner. I have had additional sessions with Audra and Bess. These two therapists are extremely knowledgeable with a high level of experience. They both are exceptional therapists and I am grateful for the care they are providing me.

Fantastic experience: The staff is friendly, helpful, and extremely professional. Takes most insurance and has plenty of staff to switch around. But, they also do their best to keep it with the same practices so that their patients aren't being tossed around to different people. So that's very considerate and very much appreciated.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience! Brynn is very knowledgeable, looked at my issues holistically, and is creative in her approaches. The front desk is super organized and on top of it. Rose was great helping me with insurance. Thanks Catalyst!

Fantastic experience: It began with the front desk people were terrific. They were very busy and they maintained great awareness and kindness to all of us in the waiting area. Kat D is brilliant. She knows her stuff and is an excellent communicator, aware of sensitive questions, conditions etc. she made me feel totally comfortable in being honest and clear about my issues. She was compassionate and professional. She didn’t waste a second of my time. She was through and at the same time, she was teaching at intern. We both were learning. She presented the information so well and if was fun assessing and learning what my body was doing. She maintained my dignity and respect the entire session. I hold high respect for her.

Fantastic experience: I have really enjoyed working with the therapists at Catalyst. I've worked with Cat, Patrick, and Peter. They are all great - I have mostly worked with Peter on my shoulder and he has been absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable, encouraging, and empowering. He always listens to everything I say and tailors my care plan for my needs that day. Would recommend anyone to come here!

Fantastic experience: Ahhhhhmazing. Catalyst crew is awesome! They have PTs working with San Diego's women's soccer team, professors from local colleges, just straight awesome PTs, and who knows what else! I have been to a few other PT places before, including the supposed best PT chain in the country, and Catalyst is in a league of their own. Wow. I've been seeing them as I recover from an ankle injury and surgery that included an experimental stem cell treatment. The people at Catalyst took it in stride. Weird surgery? No problem. Super long recovery time? We're friendly and we like new friends. Dealing with my ankle is normally the most frustrating and exhausting thing in my day, but these people make my PT sessions the best part of my day. I recommend this group to EVERYONE. My poor Lyft and Uber drivers get an earful about how great they are. Love love love Catalyst.

Fantastic experience: I had been dealing with complications stemming from a shoulder dislocation, torn labrum, and numerous other complications for the better part of the last 10 years. When I came to Catalyst, my shoulder issues had been long-term, complicated, and multi-layered. During all of those years, I had seen various physical therapists, specialists, etc., but none were able to treat me as effectively as Patrick did. At the beginning of this year, I had surgery to fix some of the issues, and was barely able to move afterwards. Over the course the last 8 months, Patrick has not only helped me completely rehabilitate my injuries, but has used his expertise and knowledge to explain everything to me, helping me be both comfortable and well-informed throughout a process that was extremely difficult and stressful for me. From the very beginning, he heard my concerns and helped me create a path to reach my goals. Everything we did had a specific purpose that was clearly explained to me, and I can’t speak highly enough of Patrick’s professionalism, kindness, patience and expertise. He knew exactly how far to push me to achieve tangible results while not pushing me past my comfort levels. With his help, I have gone from a complete lack of mobility in my shoulder to a full range of motion and full clearance to play tennis again. I truly can’t recommend Patrick highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I can't speak highly enough about Kat and Jon at Catalyst! I came in with ongoing lower back/ glute pain from practicing aerial silks and was so impressed with the personalized care plan created for my unique injury and sport. I felt valued and supported every step of the way and they took the time to help me understand the purpose of each exercise. I’m now back to doing what I love without pain and have the necessary tools to combat any flareups. I recommend them to anyone seeking top-tier physical therapy!

Fantastic experience: I am 4 month’s postpartum and receiving pelvic floor physical therapy has saved my sanity! After delivering my baby, I had terrible pain in my tailbone. I couldn’t sit, couldn’t drive, could hardly function as a first time mom because of the pain. I have learned so much about the pelvic floor and the importance of pelvic floor therapy after having a baby. Olivia is who I have seen the most, but I also saw Kat. They are amazing! I am now pain free in my tailbone and my mind is so much better. If you had a baby, pelvic floor therapy is for you! You don’t have to have pains, urinary problems, or any other pelvic problems. It isn’t talked about enough, but it should be! Let this amazing team help you! They will give you a personalized program, use manual work to release tissues, and most importantly they really care about you being pain free!

Fantastic experience: I've been in the care of Patrick Miazgowicz for the past few months and its truly been life changing! I've suffered from various injuries over the years and Patrick helped to identify the root cause and treated me holistically. He's a great teacher and also makes PT fun and dynamic! I highly recommend receiving care from Patrick and all of the staff at Catalyst @ Barnes Tennis center / Point Loma!

Fantastic experience: I saw Audra for months of PT, followed now by months of massage therapy. Shout out to Kyle and Jasmine, who best fit my vibe. The massage feels more medical, more curative than going to some place in the mall or something. And scheduling and all that operational malarkey is easier here than almost anywhere.

Fantastic experience: Great experience. Excellent Customer service. Working with Audra and couldn’t be happier. Very skilled Doctor with a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I came to Patrick and Audra about 4 months ago after Shoulder surgery (torn labrum) I was really nervous about healing and recovery and pain. The first thing I noticed was how welcoming everyone was. Patrick was amazing carefully took time and asked questions about how my shoulder was feeling. A. Purple months I switched to Audra because of work scheduling. She has been super nice and made coming to PT fun. Hands on she got knots out of my neck and back that have been there for years. It’s crazy to see the progress my shoulder has made. Highly recommend Patrick and Audra!! If I have to come back at some point in life I will.

Fantastic experience: Catalyst was great, and I highly recommend their PT and massage services! I had a less than satisfactory experience with one of their per diem PTs, and the owner (Kristin, I believe) went out of her way to make it right. She called me, offered a full refund, and set me up with a new physical therapist, Kat, who was awesome. She was knowledgable and skillful, creative in her treatment recommendations, and above all made me feel like she really knew me and cared about my body. Very special to find that!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had all positive experiences at Catalyst Physical Therapy. Patrick, my PT, provides an upbeat approach at every visit. He is very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. He consistently takes time to help me understand the purpose of each exercise to achieve my goals. Every appointment has been time well spent to improve my health. Initially, my goal was simply to have less pain, but with Patrick’s expertise and encouragement, I’ve been able to return to activities I haven’t done without pain for years. Patrick consistently revisits my goals and communicates clearly about my plan of care. Patrick has also guided my daughter through multiple sports injuries. She felt encouraged at each visit, learned a lot about injury prevention, and was confident getting back on the field. The entire staff is terrific. Office staff is a pleasure to work with for scheduling and insurance. Aides are friendly and helpful. All positive interactions at Catalyst!

Fantastic experience: I've had a great experience at Catalyst. I've worked with a few of their PT's (Primarily Jane), and she along with the other PTs are wonderful. Additionally, I've been doing a lot of massage work with Kyle, and he's very very good and also a fun guy to chat with. The front desk is also knowledgeable and friendly. Lastly, the overall vibe and atmosphere of the clinic is very comfortable and laid back. I highly recommend them for your injury needs. It is super convenient that you can do massage and PT all under one roof!

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about Catalyst PT, its providers, and staff. Unfortunately I had to rehab my third sports injury with them in seven years, this time a shoulder. Jon was my PT and he was fantastic. He was thorough and detail oriented in his assessment and treatment plan. He was also flexible with the rehab plan and able to pivot when the MRI results revealed an injury to a different part of my shoulder we weren't anticipating. His bedside manner is pleasant and jovial, especially if you're into sports (basketball) and cats. 10/10 I would rehab with Catalyst and Jon again!

Fantastic experience: Very friendly, efficient, and knowledgable. I had been to other PT’s, chiropractors, doctors and they couldn’t tell me what was wrong with my hip flexor, and here they were able to pinpoint and begin treating. Feeling hopeful I’ll be able to run and play tennis again.

Fantastic experience: My PT was Lindsay at the Redline clinic. She was very informative and offered some immediate relief for my hip and leg pain as well as at home exercises to target the problem areas. She is a true professional. It was clear to me her goal was to get me back out on the trail; which I was in less than two weeks. I couldn't be happier. Thankyou Lindsay.

Fantastic experience: I did my PT here before and after my ACL surgery. LOVED working with the physical therapists here! Everyone on staff is super nice and helpful. Kat and Jane were so much fun to work with, and they got me back to doing a lot of my normal activities within a few weeks after surgery.

Fantastic experience: I have had nothing but positive experiences with Catalyst and Patrick, my PT in recovering from a serious knee injury. Last year at the age of 71, I had a bad accident fracturing my kneecap, was hospitalized twice and had surgery. I came out of the hospital with a walker and unable to even dress myself without help. After a few months of in home PT, I was able to hobble around with a cane, still severely impaired, with no balance to speak of and started treatment at Catalyst. Patrick has been friendly and encouraging and expertly guided me through stretches and excercises, making sure I didn’t fall. Now I can walk two miles without a cane up and down hills and am on the road to full recovery. My orthopedist was amazed and actually thought I would never going to be able to walk normally again (though had fortunately kept this to himself). Thanks Patrick and Catalyst!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough positive things about this Catalyst location. Went there for post op surgery of my left ankle. After evaluation at another location, I had been booked with several different therapists. Audra, fixed that and I worked with her and Kat. Again, I cannot say enough about both of them. You know that you are being cared for and provided with their full attention and best plan of action for you recovery. They work with you and then hand you over to their assistants who are also amazing. Special shout out to Regan and Vince (PT school is lucky to have you) who I mostly worked with. Front desk staff also great. At a place that is non stop busy, you feel like the only person being cared for. Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: Where do I even start? My insurance gave me a referral to Catalyst for my physical therapy, and I’m so grateful! I got paired up with Andrew and was honestly nervous because I’m not typically comfortable with male providers, on top of a long-standing fear/mistrust of doctors and medical professionals. However, he was extremely professional, kind, and empathetic and made me feel comfortable and safe right away. My favorite activities include sports, lifting weights, hiking, and pretty much anything active. This is also the main way I support my mental health. When I finally gave in and got a referral for PT at the end of 2021, I had a myriad of neglected sports injuries that had gotten so bad I could no longer participate in any physical activity. This, among other things, was taking a huge toll on my mental health. Andrew listened to all my concerns without judgement and came up with a very specific program to help get me back to the active lifestyle I love. Among my injuries, I had a tricky knee issue that was up and down. Despite confusing MRI’s, a condescending orthopedic surgeon, and a cortisone injection that did nothing, Andrew continued to do whatever he could to solve this puzzle, including lots of research and bringing other PTs and perspectives in on my case. He went above and beyond any medical professional I’ve ever worked with, and I was finally getting relief and gradually returning to my activities. This was the most difficult year of my life for a number of reasons, but about 8 months into my time at Catalyst I found out I was pregnant, rather late in the game. Andrew referred me to Kat, and the two of them teamed up to help me continue with my sports injury rehab and help with the pregnancy/labor/postpartum stuff. Kat was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in preparing me for labor and working through postpartum, and she was a safe space for me to learn about and process what was happening. These two have been some of my biggest supporters through the scariest and most difficult time of my life, and I don’t know what I would’ve done without them. They not only supported me with my physical therapy, but they were there for me as I processed and worked through my extreme fear of pregnancy and all that comes with having a child. Not trying to sound sappy, but I really can’t express enough just how grateful I am for Andrew, Kat, and the rest of the team. From the sweet front desk girls who I enjoyed chatting with, to all the wonderful PT aides, and even Alexis helping me understand my new insurance, the people at Catalyst felt like family and made it one of my favorite places to be. Now a year later I’m so sad I can’t keep going to Catalyst due to new insurance. Andrew and Kat have continued to be available to answer questions and help me find a new physical therapist who accepts my new insurance, but I’ll be lucky to find one half as good as them. They are the best of the best!

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t be more grateful for Audra and the team at Catalyst Physical Therapy . Getting physical therapy there has been a game changer for me. I’ve had PT other places, but nothing comes close to what they’ve done to help me. I received specialized help after neck surgery and a mastectomy, and their expertise and kindness are a huge part of why I’m on the road to full recovery.

Fantastic experience: I have had two massages with James @ Catalyst and WOW is he good! He specializes in working with athletes and is incredible at what he does. Beyond the actual massage, which is the best I've ever had, he's a great guy to chat with. The whole staff at Catalyst are so attentive and welcoming! Whether it's PT, massage, or something else, go get your body tuned up at Catalyst!

Fantastic experience: Recently moved to San Diego with some unaddressed injuries I got during COVID. I was paired up with Kat and have been so impressed by her attention to detail and programs to literally get me running again. She was able to provide me realistic expectations on when I should start to see progress and I am now 3 months in and starting to see some results for my stubborn injury. I know I am in great hands with Kat! The facilities are clean, the front desk and support PTs are all knowledgeable and friendly. I cannot recommend Kat and Catalyst enough!

Fantastic experience: I came to Catalyst after an injury and have been working with Andrew. From the first session with him, he set realistic expectations with me and provided great information about my injury. He gave me all my options and let me decide what path I wanted to take. Andrew has been great at listening to me and develops each session with my goals in mind. He is super knowledgeable and is always willing to adjust as needed based on how I am feeling at each appointment. I can honestly say this experience has exceeded my expectations and I am so happy with the help and support I’ve received from him. I came with one injury and developed a second injury part of the way through and Andrew has been flexible and shifted to addressing both issues together, and both are recovering as expected. I absolutely would recommend working with Catalyst and Andrew to anyone who is looking for physical therapy, whether you have an injury or just need support with an ache or pain!

Fantastic experience: I’ve gone to a lot of physical therapy for different injuries over the years and Olivia is hands-down the best PT I’ve ever had! Physical therapy can be really challenging (injuries can be scary, slow healing and setbacks can be discouraging, and having limited mobility or being out of shape can feel embarrassing) and it makes such a big difference to have a fantastic PT supporting you. Olivia is exceptional and everything you’d want in a PT — competent, compassionate, and hard working. She is always listening, observing, and adjusting her treatments and I have never once felt like my concerns were ignored or like I was just a dollar sign. If you’re injured and combing through reviews worried about finding the right physical therapist, seriously just go ahead and book with Catalyst! Ask for Olivia, if she’s free.

Fantastic experience: I came to Catalyst’s Barnes location after I fractured my shoulder in an accident and started working with Jon immediately. We started with an analysis of my mobility, pain, and strength then set a plan from there. Going from not being able to raise my arm to 90° and with excruciating pain to getting back into sports and my normal day-to-day activities without discomfort is a testament to Jon and the Barnes team. He is always straight up on my recovery process and makes sure that my personal goals are kept top of mind—we’ve even started doing sport-specific strengthening exercises! I think what’s most impressive is Jon and staff’s always positive energy and personability. In the PT recovery process it’s easy to get down on yourself when you’re not seeing the big wins and not getting to 100% overnight, but with the great conversations throughout our sessions, this team always keeps me smiling and excited to go to PT. Truly cannot day enough good things about the entire staff, venue, and equipment!! Thank you so much Catalyst, Barnes, PT aids, and Jon!

Fantastic experience: So glad I found this place from reading the reviews on yelp! Everyone is great, welcoming, kind, and compassionate. Just like a family! This was my first experience with PT. I was rear ended by someone who wasn’t paying attention, and my doctor told me I had whiplash, and I should expect the pain for 2–3 weeks, all in my neck, shoulders, and head. Patrick is amazing! He takes the time to listen to me, describe my symptoms, and customize my PT visits to what my body needs. In each visit, Patrick gives me individual attention and varies my exercises based on where I am in the healing process and what I still need. The only downside is when the session is over and it’s time to leave, however, catalyst sets you up with an app where you can do self – guided stretches on your off days. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: My PCP referred me to Catalyst for my shoulder injury and I was instantly so impressed. The folks at Catalyst (ALL of them) are simply the loveliest. You feel cared for with every interaction with everyone in the offices. I've spent the past year working with Jon as my PT. I came to him after neglecting my shoulder for months. He's worked diligently with me every week to progress me, and while the healing was slow with its ups and downs (it's a tricky injury!) - I have now gotten back to about 95% of my former mobility with almost no more pain! It's been incredibly to see. I recommend Jon to everyone! He's patient, caring, genuine and so in tune with his patient's needs. He challenged me, but always knew my limits. He switched up our program so that I would always be trending towards further and further improvement. He's also just a fantastic human being who I always looked forward to seeing to brighten my week. The PT care combined with massage therapy (from multiple providers there) has done wonders. Thank you Catalyst!! I'll be back =)

Fantastic experience: I came to Catalyst a few months ago for ACL and meniscus rehab and I have had the best experience with Olivia as my PT. She is such a great listener and tailors each appointment to how you are feeling that day. She is always challenging me with new exercises and has pushed me to return to volleyball!

Fantastic experience: I moved to San Diego with some longterm injuries and still a lot of progress left to be made. I have been so happy working with the catalyst team - each PT has been wonderful and they’ve all helped me get closer to my goals. I am so thankful for the insight and guidance that Missy, Brad, Jonathan and Lindsey have given me and am excited to finally cross the finish line someday. This rehab program in conjunction with massage therapy from James (who is wonderful!) has really improved my quality of life.

Fantastic experience: Stellar staff and great facilities. They care about making real recovery (physical therapy/pelvic floor rehab) and make it fun throughout the process. My post-natal, pelvic floor work with Kat and her team is giving me back the ability to run and do things that were previously not possible. Returning me back to the active lifestyle I used to have.

Fantastic experience: Jon, my physical therapist, is a gem. He is passionate about his work and it shows. For over a year, he worked on ensuring that my shoulder injury would not affect my ability to exercise. Thanks to him I am feeling much better and I’m able to exercise as I did before. His knowledge, consistent attention to detail, and caring personality are just a few of the qualities that make him a great physical therapist. I highly recommend him. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. They treat you very kindly and you feel at home. Miradel is a massage therapist, and she works wonders as well. If you ever have any injury, and you need to be nursed back to good health, work with Jon - you won’t regret it!!

Fantastic experience: My main therapist, Ryan Campbell has proved himself to be quite knowledgeable, professional, and very personable. Other volunteers, students and part-time assistants are friendly and always willing to help. I am particularly impressed with David, Evan, Thomas and a few of the girls as well. For excellent physical therapy, this is the company to go to. Thank you from Thor Arnold.

Fantastic experience: after numerous calls to other PT centers and numerous disappointments I finally came across Catalyst Physical Therapy and Wellness on the approved list for my insurance. They responded promptly and scheduled me for a consultation. I was greeted warmly and felt welcomed. I had my consultation with Andrew and he responded to every concern that I had. Now I am on a plan that works for me and is helping my overall wellness. I am glad I found them and recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I am 68 & my husband, Bob is 67. We cannot say enough about the kindness & professionalism that we experienced with all of the staff at Catalyst. We each presented with the challenge of undoing a lifetime of physical neglect in about 3 1/2 months. Our home is in FL, but Bob was going to have a Total Hip Replacement in CA, where we would have the support of our daughter & son-in-law, as well as access to the Catalyst “family”. Kat DeVoe rose to the challenge & worked hard to encourage & motivate us. She taught us how our bodies move & explained how each step of our workout would help us progress to the next exercise, with the goal of keeping us moving & getting us back to performing the activities we longed for. We were able to return to FL with a well thought out maintanence plan to enable us to participate fully & pain free in the activities we love. I believe that everyone should be evaluated by a Physical Therapist at Catalyst & give themselves the gift of the expertise within!!

Fantastic experience: I had prenatal PT with Katharine DeVos for about 3 months (twice a week), and I highly recommend her. Kathy is very knowledgeable, professional, kind and friendly. I had a lot of pain in my hips during pregnancy and she helped to relieve the pain, get to know my body better, and stay healthy and active until the very end of my pregnancy. Kathy really took the time to understand my needs and assess the best PT routine for me. I was able to enjoy my pregnancy even more with her help. The Catalyst team and facilities are also great and I really enjoyed spending time in a such positive environment.

Fantastic experience: I moved to San Diego for college while I was only a month out from an ACL surgery and was paired up with Olivia for my physical therapy. When I first started out, I was a little behind on my recovery, but Olivia was extremely patient and helped me regain my strength while helping rebuild my confidence in myself. She is super sweet and is a big reason why I feel so comfortable in the clinic. She is super welcoming when you walk into the clinic and really listens to your concerns while thinking of ways to approach and help. She’s helped me so much through my recovery and I highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Catalyst for physical therapy for about two months now to deal with an issue that has been bothering me for over a year. Over the past year, I have tried to find relief through other treatments with no luck. My life of activity had come to a complete stop because of the pain. After just a short time with working with the highly trained therapists (a shout out to Missy and Brad) at Catalyst, I finally have relief from the pain. Although I am not completely healed, I feel confident that I am well on my way to a full recovery and back to my previous active life of hiking, yoga and working out. Another great help for seeing such wonderful progress in a short period of time is the amazing therapeutic massages that I have been getting at Catalyst. My masseuse is Luisa and I cannot say enough good things about her. I really believe that the two sessions that I have had with her so far has moved my healing progress into the "fast lane!" If you are looking for a wellness center, I strongly recommend Catalyst PT and Wellness. They offer physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, yoga therapy, etc. Their staff is very professional, highly trained and very caring. I am so very, very grateful that I "found" them.

Fantastic experience: Catalyst is amazing! I was in a near fatal motorcycle accident in December of 19. Once I was somewhat mobile I began coming to Catalyst for PT. My main therapist has been Natalie Dibs and she has been amazing to work with. My main focus was building strength and mobility again and I’m extremely happy with my progress. The focus is still that but it has progressed to being more focused on what I need to build on to get back to racing motorcycles again. Even through Covid Catalyst stayed in contact and we have maintained PT via Zoom. I’m very thankful to have selected Catalyst for PT and love my appointments even through Zoom. The staff is very knowledgeable and understanding of your needs and goals. I’d honestly love to keep coming here just for a personal trainer in the future. The facility is also very nice, has the equipment you need and is very clean. I couldn’t recommend them or Natalie enough. Thanks guys!

Fantastic experience: From the front desk and scheduling and insurance follow up to the PTs and aides to the massage therapist Catalyst is excellent. I had multiple sports injuries and surgery recovery that they helped me with. As a competitive volleyball player they provided hands on therapy for shoulder and rotator cuff issues as well as an extensive stretching and strengthening regime that got me back in action. As a formerly competitive and now casual runner with meniscus surgery they evaluated my running gait, gave me plenty of hands on therapy and gave me detailed feedback as well as stretching and strengthening that allow me me run pain free. I recently "graduated" and with some maintenance sports massage and home exercises have been able to play and run at peak performance. They even have a sports trainer if you want to keep using their treatment area after you graduate. Special call outs to PTs who really helped my wife and I go to Kristen, and Missy they are the best!! (Well except when they are causing pain! But for a good cause). And to massage therapist Brittany and James who are like everyone else there caring above and beyond. YOU GUYS ROCK!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had the pleasure of coming to Catalyst 3 times a week since about 6 weeks post Humerus Break and I’m now around 19 weeks of natural healing! I’m so happy I chose Catalyst as my physical therapy clinic I have been worked on by Natalie Dib the most but have definitely had a good rotation between Missy and Ellie as well! Each one of these PTS I would rate a 12 out of 10 because they’ve all shown great attention to detail, the ability to articulate what’s going on with my injury in a way that I actually understand and their contagious smiles/happy energy every time I walk into the room! Things I love about catalyst - their goals become your number one priority - The ease of their scheduling shout out to Natalie she’s amazing up front - The amount of hands-on therapy they provide each session - how easy it has been with billing and insurance (I have Blue shield) - how cute, clean and joyful their clinic is! I don’t think there’s a series of words that could help articulate or emphasize that point enough! I can easily say coming there three times a week it’s the happiest hour of my day definitely think you guys should check it out if you’re interested in seeing what a session looks like follow me on Instagram I have a highlight saved at the top of my page with video clips of what my sessions look like! @neeks93 on insta DM me with any questions (Quick background I’ve been a Division 1 athlete, a nationally qualified figure bodybuilder and I’ve been on a couple TV shows and I would like to say being an elite level athlete there’s simply NO OTHER place I’d trust with my recovery!)
