Spine & Sport Physical Therapy- Kearny Mesa, San Diego

Fantastic experience: I've had chronic pain and weakness in my right wrist for 8 years now, and I thought that nothing could be done for it. Boy was I wrong! I started seeing Alyssa Lopez at Spine and Sport Kearny Mesa and it has been such a lifechanger for me. Alyssa is always upbeat, personable, and positive - she encourages you through all of your exercises and takes a genuine interest in you. She makes sure you have all of the support and knowledge you need to make real, positive changes in your life - both in the Spine and Sport facility and at home, making sure you have all the necessary equipment to follow up on your exercises at home. After just 12 sessions with her, I already have significantly less pain in my wrist, and a documented increase in both strength and mobility. This is the first time in my life I've been truly sad to not be able to see a medical professional anymore (because of insurance limitations). Not to mention the facility - it's always clean and well-lit, and has every piece of equipment you could ever need, along with a friendly group of employees. I cannot sing their praises enough!

Fantastic experience: The hand specialists work major magic! I came here after suffering from a bilateral repetitive motion injury for 2 and a half previous years and the therapists really worked with me. At first i had to have somebody drive me to and fro and was incapable of work, being on temporary disability. Well not anymore! I hardly every have to take a day off of my lab job anymore and have able to do more and more each week. Slow and steady is the name of the healing game and when though I'm not the best at doing my home therapy, I'm still getting better☺

Fantastic experience: The team was great! Tim, Stephen, and Alexander all helped me tremendously! I thought I was going to go in there and be stretched and pulled and massaged, with no effort from myself. NOT how I would have gotten better. They gave me the routine I needed to strengthen my shoulder and I am forever grateful.

Positive experience: I've been coming here for about a year and a half. I really like how they have a more active approach to physical therapy so it's similar to working out in a gym. It has helped me get in much better physical shape and actually learn to enjoy working out. The therapists and other staff members are all very nice and cordial. Special shout-out to Jenn S my PT and Melissa B my OT! I do wish there was more one on one time with the therapists and they weren't juggling 2-3 patients at once but this is sadly not unusual with the profit driven healthcare system we have.

Fantastic experience: Busy Location Yet Awesome Experience - My first time was not so good but the Branch Manager/Director, Alex made it right. Since then onwards, I look forward to my next sessions with Nash, he is a great PT, always ready to go up and beyond to help me out with my neck and back pain. He listens and understands my concern, provides me with some tips/advises, lots of home exercises on how to improve my condition. He has positive attitude and great commitment towards work. Very professional but compassionate in dealing with his patients. Appointment system is good, great staff and clean location.

Fantastic experience: The Kearny Mesa Spine and Sport Physical Therapy Kearny Mesa team saved my wrist! I sustained a double wrist fracture with reduced range of motion as my bones had not healed into their formal position after my cast was removed. My gap in insurance coverage meant that my treatment way delayed by 6 months, so my chances for a smooth recovery were complicated; this team was not cautious about, but encouraging of my progress. Melissa was my main therapist and she was incredible. Her level of care was better than I could have imagined: she gave me a series of varied range of local motion an strengthening exercises to do during our 6 weeks working together bi-weekly, as well as several at home exercises. I genuinely enjoyed almost all of them and was diligent in following her program. I continue to manage my recovery and my forearms and shoulders are healthier and more functional today than before my accident, with significant greater range (in wrist flexion) than we hoped for, c. 20° beyond the prediction of my original orthopedic surgeon. Melissa is also very fun and mixed wit into her drills. Pain is scary, and we all feel vulnerable when injured, but I left confident and happy: I was very lucky to have been connected to Spine and Sport and cannot thank them enough for their professionalism and kindness.
