Select Physical Therapy - Rancho Bernardo

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately, because of hereditary spinal issues, I have a lot of experience with physical therapy. I've been to a lot of PT offices and seen a lot of physical therapists. My cousin is a PT PhD, in a different state. I'm happy to say, at last, I have finally found a great PT. Matthew and the entire Select staff are extremely professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and effective. If you've needed to do any PT then you know these qualities are the exception not the rule. I would recommend Select to everyone I know.

Fantastic experience: No one likes to go through occupational therapy for a compound wrist fracture of the radius and ulna. But I find myself in this place and it wouldn't be a success without such a great therapist as Nigel. He knows his stuff and is very professional and gentle in working with me. I know I'll be a winner when it's all said and done, thanks to Nigel. Recommend him highly as a great occupational therapist! Just in my second week and already have seen great improvement! Fantastic experience: It has been three months after hip replacement,. I've experienced a groin injury, and a broken Femur bone. After just two sessions with Joshua Henson at Select Physical Therapy and exercising daily as recommended, i am walking better. Fantastic experience: My 13yo son is seeing Josh post knee surgery and we couldn’t have asked for better care. Josh is thoughtful in his approach and my son looks forward to his sessions. Josh made the home workouts engaging so my son does them as instructed without me reminding him. To not have to nag my child to do something is priceless!

Fantastic experience: My wife broke her right elbow and had the surgery about 6 months ago. Her previous therapist gave up the PT session, thinking no progress could be achieved in treating her elbow problem before taking out the hardware. After seeing Matthew Buck for a few weeks, she is able to bend her elbow more, and can manage to comb her hair and brush teeth. We are so happy with the progress achieved.

Fantastic experience: My physical therapist, Noby, is patient, listens well and communicates with relevant information and realistic expectations. The shoulder and back exercises he provided has improved my strength in those areas and the pain has significantly reduced.

Fantastic experience: Matt Buck is the best physical therapist that I have ever been to. I am a retired physical therapist and therefore I am in a good position to evaluate a PT's clinical ability. You'd be lucky to have Matt as your therapist. Matt takes a thorough history and then does a comprehensive physical evaluation. Then he designs a treatment program specific for your problem. The focus is primarily on manual therapy, stretching and strengthening exercises, and a home program. The treatments are delivered with care and sensitivity, with constant fine tuning based on your response.

I have found Josh to be very conscientious, knowledgeable in his field, polite, friendly, detail-oriented, and caring. Josh works very hard to help patients achieve their goals for recovery. Fantastic experience: I chose this location for my physical therapy after having ankle ORIF surgery. I cannot say enough great things about the staff and how comfortable I was going to the Rancho Bernardo location. The entire staff is professional, friendly and always pleasant. My therapist, Joshua Henson is kind, caring and very knowledgeable. He always made me feel as though I was his only patient and he genuinely cares about your progression and what treatments work best for your recovery. I worked with Tristan Seok, DPT for a Frozen Shoulder - he gave several exercises to do at home so I would not have to come in weekly = no hard sell. Tristan then said he would follow-up with me in a month to see how my progress was coming along. I highly recommend this location!

Fantastic experience: While riding I took fall off my mule. I broke the transverse processes L 2,3,4 , had muscle tearing and a huge hematoma. I really thought my riding days were done and I became very despondent. A friend referred me to Select Physical Therapy. My therapist Amanda listened to my concerns, developed a plan to get me back in the saddle, with targeted exercises. Each week I got stronger, and began to see and feel the healing in my body. Amanda and the staff at Select Physical Therapy were always encouraging. Amanda is so knowledgable about the physical body I always felt well taken care of and safe. I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel thanks to Select Physical Therapy, I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: My physical therapist Brian has been excellent. He's super knowledgeable, and he really invests time in your recovery. In my case it's an injured elbow and arm, and he's spent a lot of time manipulating the arm and getting the muscles to free up. I'd recommend him and the location overall. The team there is pretty fun and entertaining.

Fantastic experience: Two back surgeries and a stroke that affected my right leg left me with reduced mobility, reduced strength, balance problems and chronic pain. At the same time I was reluctant to to go into a PT office in light of COVID-19. Select PT offered Telehab sessions and I have been working with Dr. Amanda Whalen via the internet for weeks now. Amanda created a series of exercises that she monitors twice a week. She is very responsive to modifying my routine to my ability and pain levels. I find her very knowledgeable and creative and genuinely a pleasure to work with. This PT knows what she's doing. All of my contacts with the front desk are friendly and responsive. I highly recommend Select PT.

In fact, I have recently chosen to return to this office because of the excellent care I have received in the past. My therapist is very knowledgeable and knows exactly how much to challenge you to regain your mobility. Fantastic experience: This has been my first experience with Physical Therapy, but I cannot believe it could be better at any other clinic. All the staff were amazing. Extremely pleasant, very professional and obviously very well-trained, but very personable as well. My therapist was Heather. Yes, I am biased here, but she is excellent. They all are. I wholeheartedly recommend Select Physical Therapy, and I will return to them for any future PT needs.

Currently working with Heather, her patience and Knowledge are much appreciated.she definitely takes the time to thoroughly explain things so you can understand The Pt assistant Freddie is prompt with his instructions, helpful and had the best selection of music! (This is key for when you are laying there icing). Maybe because my injury isn’t as bad as others, but i feel like I’m on the fast track to recovery. Quinn aka the specialist will take care of all your appointment needs. With this trio, you are bound to have a good laugh.This office is kept very clean and organized. If you are in need of a physical therapist in the remote area, definitely come check out this location. Ps. If you have a sweet tooth, they have a candy jar full of treats.
