Fantastic experience: I needed a therapist for a total shoulder replacement surgery and came upon all these 5 star reviews for Select Physical Therapy and Aleeza. That was my lucky day!! I went in for a consult after surgery and Select was exactly what I was hoping to find. Excellent facility, and very warm and friendly staff. Aleeza evaluated me in our first meeting and gave me confidence that she could help me recover my arm function. Today was my final session after 10 weeks of twice a week, hour long workouts. I am very happy to say Aleeza was 100% correct. With her extremely knowledgeable and personalized approach to my specific needs, the progression was comfortable, and clearly noticeable from week to week. Aleeza was careful not to go faster with the weekly sessions then my healing allowed for. I did the daily at home exercises that she prescribed and changed as therapy progressed which is critical to anyones success. So together we reached the most positive results I had hoped for prior to surgery. I have a totally comfortable, fully functioning shoulder, 10 weeks post replacement. I highly recommend Select Physical Therapy and Aleeza and you will be as lucky as I was to find them. I have had many therapists in other offices in the past, and my experience with Select and Aleeza are a major cut above them all.

Fantastic experience: After surgery to repair a completely torn rotator cuff, I was so lucky to get a referral to the Del Mar Select facility. I worked for 4 months with Aleeza Kassam-Efthemis. Alezza is the very best. She pays attention to details and cares about your recovery. I was able to return to my normal activities about 1 month earlier than I expected.I highly recommend Select and especially Aleeza.

Fantastic experience: I feel extremely fortunate to have found Select PT in Carmel Valley! I have been suffering from range of motion issues and limited strength due to an injury which created a frozen shoulder condition. My physical therapist, Aleeza Kassam-Efthemis, is extremely intelligent and insightful, assessed my condition and came up with an outstanding rehab plan. When I first started, I could barely lift a weight with my left arm, and now I can easily lift my arm above my shoulder with a weight, and reach for items in my cabinets. Carolyn’s exercise instructions are easy to understand and follow. She corrects me as needed and always encouraging with her ever present positive attitude! Fantastic experience: Select Physical Therapy has been my facility of choice for treatment and recovery from spinal fusion, hip replacement, plantar fasciitis, knee replacement surgery, and now a relapse of symptoms from the spinal surgery. Dr. Aleeza Kassam is enormously well-versed on the complex variety of medical issues which I present. Without her sage medical guidance I would not be functional at a level where I can continue to work. Additionally, I have yet to stump her with a question…and I ask a lot if questions! Aging is full of complications. Her ability to evaluate and make recommendations both in how I can move with less stress on my body, and what may be needed for further medical treatment has been priceless. Cody, my physical therapist aid has been enormously helpful, patient in demonstrating each exercise for me so I don’t hurt myself, and a great pleasure to work with. I look forward to my treatment days. I’ve checked out other facilities but nothing compares to the individualized, kind and expert custom treatment I’ve received from Select. Scheduling with Mary at the front desk who always has a smile for me has been seamless. Thank you all for helping me through trying times.

Fantastic experience: The best physical therapy office that I have been to. Very competent, kind, and professional care. Serving a broad range of patient ages and problems. I am able to start back running after years of issues with my knees, calf muscles and tendons thanks to Aleeza's great care. My 86 year old mom no longer has back and knee pains, and her balance is stronger. I see teenagers getting help as well. Whole team (Bennett, Carolyn, Mary, Cody, Vanessa, Ruby, and others) is very kind and positive, a testament to site manager Aleeza's leadership skills and positive personality. Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked into the clinic, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and the waiting area was comfortable and clean. Once I met Carolyn, my physical therapist, I knew I was in great hands. Her expertise and knowledge of physical therapy were evident, and she made sure that I felt comfortable and understood every step of my rehabilitation program. She also motivated me when I felt like giving up and held my hand through every step of the way. But it wasn't just Carolyn who made my experience at the clinic fantastic. She allowed me to listen to my body, and created a program that worked best with me. The front office and aide staff were extremely helpful in scheduling and helping with my exercises. Fantastic experience: After trying a few different physical therapists to help with chronic hip and back pain post birth and making no progress, I finally got referred to Select Physical Therapy by my doctor and couldn’t be happier. Within 2 weeks I’d made more progress than I had in the months prior with other therapists. I have seen two separate PTs at Select and both are amazing. Highly recommend they are very knowledgeable about many conditions and have helped me make massive progress.

Fantastic experience: Klaus is an amazing physical therapist. He is knowledgeable, diligent and a friendly person. He is very kind when my insurance company refused to pay for a splint, he made one for me free of cost. My doctor recommended Klaus as he was diappointed with the results from my previous therapist. Fantastic experience: I came here to give a 5 star review of Select Physical Therapy because of my great experience. I'm not surprised that as of now over 100 people beat me to it. The team at Select is extraordinary. The facility is fine, no complaints, parking isn't too bad, and the administration around scheduling appointments works too. None of that earns them 5 stars, all that is down to the Doctors of Physical Therapy they have on staff. I've been lucky enough to be regularly treated by 3 amazing therapists. Meagan, Bennett and Carolyn all treated me and all had a hand in making my life better. They excelled in 3 big ways: First they figured out what was going on with an effective evaluation, lots of questions to narrow down what’s really going on inside me and good humor. Second they created and adjusted a treatment plan designed to achieve my goals. Lastly they delivered my treatment with compassion and attention to detail. I can’t think of any other medical appointment that I look forward to, not only do I feel better afterwards, but I actually enjoy the treatment, thanks entirely to Meagan, Bennett and Carolyn.

Fantastic experience: I had bilateral total knee replacements performed in the fall of 2021. I am 70 years old. The TKR left was done first, then due to excellent physical therapy here at Select Carmel Valley, I was more than ready for the right TKR to be done within 6-8 weeks later. It was a pleasure to be under the professional care of this group of therapists, especially under the guidance of Aleeza Kassam-Efthemis, DPT. She and her excellent team managed my recovery with every appointment and in January 2022 I was keeping up in cycle/spin classes and have been thrilled to be walking a few miles a day without a hitch. I highly recommend this Select physical therapy group in Carmel Valley.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough about the quality care I received at Select PT over past 5+ months. I came in with sciatica and lower back pains that were impeding my ability to run. After working with Carolyn Chan and her team, I was able to improve through their diligent and thoughtful care and followup exercise at home on both fronts and run my first half marathon in over 2 years and am looking forward to my next half in 6 weeks. Fantastic experience: I started with severe lower back pain and had a hard time walking. After 6 weeks of physical therapy I feel like a nw person. Fantastic experience: Aleeza Kassam is amazing! I am feeling much better since I started the physical therapy with her and it is only because of her dedication and professionalism. She knows exactly what I need to make progress. In 1994 I had a motorcycle accident that dramatically reduced my left shoulder mobility. When I came in, she saw this as a challenge and has not given up even thought my shoulder's capsule has been tight for 25 years. While Aleeza's been working on it I have reveled in my new range of motion that I never thought I could experienced in all this time. In addition, the entire staff at Select Physical Therapy in Del Mar is wonderful and kind. This is a team you want to have when you need physical therapy!

Fantastic experience: I have been playing competitive sports most of my life and have an active lifestyle. I recently had arthroscopic knee surgery (my 2nd one and one ACL reconstruction before) which prompted me to look for a physical therapy office to help me with my recovery. During my initial visit, I was impressed with the staff's knowledge, experience, and hands-on approach explaining and guiding me through my exercises. The team at this Select physical therapy location, Aleeza, Lora, Carolyn, and Ashly are the best team ever. After 3 months, I have more mobility with my knee than before and feel great. I also recently started my therapy session with Carolyn for my sciatic nerve pain after my back injury and am pleased with the progress. This team is professional, experienced, and supper friendly with one goal in mind, to help people like me quickly recover and get back to normal activities. Fantastic experience: Became a Select Physical Therapy Patient due to an Achilles issue. My Physical Therapist is Alyssa, who I think is top notch in assessing my situation and what could be causing an Body Mechanics imbalance possibly leading to my condition. Exceptional understanding of implementing stretches and exercises that have improved my condition in two weeks as an overall daily routine. In addition reviewing basic walking techniques so I'm walking properly. Still have more work to do, but this intervention could with Srong possibility, prevent surgery on my Achilles. Indications looking good so far with no pain and removal of sensitivity around the base of the Achilles. I'm planning on continuing follow on therapy after my 6 weeks are up, possibly once a month or quarter, frequency. I'm a mid 50's recreational athlete, have future plans to travel, continuing my athletics (golf, paddling), and riding (loading/unloading) quads, jetskis as long as I can :) I trust Alyssa and her team in the overall assessment, therapy and daily routines keeping me active/athletic into my Golden Years.

Fantastic experience: I am so glad I was referred to Select PT by my wife and received treatment from Aleeza Kassam. I approached her with a chronic shoulder/cervical issue that caused dizziness and in ~5 weeks of regular visits I am seeing the difference and feeling I can be normal again. Fantastic experience: Since my two spinal fusion surgeries I have tried many physical therapy offices. None have me the relief that Aleeza was able To give me after just one session. She also helped with my knee I had surgery on and hadn’t been able to regain full range of motion on. One session and I was able to get back to my yoga practice. I’m so hopeful that after more sessions with her I’ll be feeling even better!

Fantastic experience: It goes without saying that many of us who have reached the age of discovery, feel that we are ignored or simply a number in the system. On the contrary, my experience with Select Physical Therapy, has been rewarding and very beneficial. At first, I was somewhat apprehensive because of past dealing with other therapist and organizations. With SPT, I have been greeted at the reception desk with a prompt caring staff, my therapist is very professional, knowledgeable and cares about my progress. I feel that I am receiving the care that will result in a full recovery.

Fantastic experience: My husband suffered a stroke back in April 2018. He was in hospitals for 4 months. After being discharged in August, he began outpatient physical therapy at Select PT here, which is really close to our house. It has been over a year of therapy. From coming here with a wheel chair to now walking with a cane, this is a true miracle. Currently , my husband continues to come here in hopes of even improving more. The staff here really have heart. They mostly work with seniors, but young kids come here too. I have witnessed the staff treat little old ladies, who are soooo fragile with the care you would treat your own grandmother . You get welcomed here by the lovely Evelina and Angie , then there are the Physical Therapist Aleeza ( our main Therapist), Alisa& Cheresa ,who we have also had the pleasure of seeing. This place is the place to come for any kind of physical limitations.

Fantastic experience: Charesa is extremely caring, compassionate and highly educated in her profession. I’m not the easiest patient because I have many issues to deal with but I have made progress with Cheresa though I did not with other physical therapists I’ve worked with. She explains and educates, while she motivates and helps you focus on your goals. One of the best Therapists who helped me with chronic herniated discs and related issues in the middle of my third trimester of pregnancy - such a vulnerable time and I trusted Cheresa 100%. She helped me immediately from very limited mobility to almost full mobility so I was able to deliver my baby. I wouldn’t have been able to get through my pain without her! The facility is clean, the staff is friendly, and the parking is very convenient. I highly recommmend them!

I have a challenging work schedule and they bent over backwards to help me fit in my appointments. I was always seen on time and was always out by the times I needed to be out. I found the whole staff attentive, friendly and professional. But the star of my experience was Cheresa Wiggins. I came in with back issues especially on my right side. I cannot say enough about the attention and care that I received over the approximately 10 weeks of treatment. The results Sharon achieved in treating my hand were excellent.
