Select Physical Therapy - Geary

Fantastic experience: All the people at Select on Geary are all amazing people to have on your PT team. I’ve gone to them for three injuries so far, and have seen so much progress. They actually listen to you and are well informed about what they do.

Fantastic experience: Injured shoulder with challenges who will accept my medical provider, Select Physical Therapy assistance with further steps corresponding to medical network thus ensuring that their therapy office will be able to start with Healing Therapy. Otherwise it would be another two weeks. I been in need since December 28, 2022.

Fantastic experience: I had two back-to-back injuries, one that required OT for my wrist, and one that required PT for my foot. I spent essentially 8 months total going to this location and I feel so thankful for the professional, functional, and warm care I received every week. Both therapists helped my find ways to decrease daily pain while assessing the best way for my body to strengthen and heal my injury.

Fantastic experience: Aleksa is fabulous! I have a longterm issue - osteoarthritis in my wrist and hands that at this point, does not require injections or surgery, but still causes discomfort. She has helped me with exercises to strengthen surrounding muscles and taught me ways to provide self care and pain relief. My last appointment is next week and I will miss her!

Fantastic experience: The staff are super friendly and knowledgable. They helped me find a path out of a 3 year long injury. I worked with Audrey and Aleksa over the past 6 months and they were caring and willing to listen and adjust my program.

Fantastic experience: I began my physical therapy treatments a few weeks ago and Audrey Kim is my P.T. She is very thorough and professional and also has a good sense of humor to make the sessions more interesting. She is patient with me, helps me adjust to ensure I'm performing the exercises properly and gives me confidence that with time my condition will improve. I'm a 75 year old woman, so having such a kind and competent therapist is a big help in my health care journey.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with select physical therapy. I spent about four or five months under their care, working on rehabilitation of my neck and shoulders due to an overuse injury. Too much typing! I had great help from Audrey, JP, and Julie while here. All were very supportive in listening to what caused me pain, teaching me exercises to help strengthen my body, providing manual therapy, and ultimately improving my health and well-being. I’m extremely grateful to them and all of the staff at Select PT for helping reduce my pain and improving my quality of life. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic staff! I did 6-7 months of PT here After I ruptured my Achilles. Everyone is super friendly and very helpful. Facility is clean and enough space for a variety of exercises. Thanks Audrey and team! Also near ariscault bakery if you need a post session pastry:)

Fantastic experience: High quality care! I initially went to Select PT because I had chronic IT band problems + foot injuries that had forced me to stop running + cycling. I mostly worked with Audrey who was incredibly knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. Every session, I came armed with questions and I left stronger and more knowledgable about my body. Not only have I been able to run/cycle again, but I now have the tools to prevent further injury in the future. I'm grateful for the team at Select PT on Geary, and I highly recommend them. Would also recommend not delaying scheduling your first appointment because they can get booked! When I first called in January, I think I had to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment (I didn't have a Dr's referral when I made my first appointment).

Fantastic experience: This physical therapy location is excellent. The staff works collaboratively, making it easy to meet with multiple therapists and feel like there is one clear plan everyone is working towards. The environment is welcoming and intimate, which helps with doing exercises and receiving focused attention. I came in with knee and back issues, and after a few months of focused work, I feel much stronger and have been able to return to my normal activities thanks to Audrey and Tony's help. I highly recommend this location to others who may be seeking physical therapy services.

Fantastic experience: High quality care. I primarily worked with Audrey (who was great), also did some work with Julie. A nice balance of massage treatment and exercises/strengthening. Put you on a thorough regimen that should lead to restoring as well as strengthening to prevent future injury. Facilities are clean and have a variety of quality equipment.

Fantastic experience: I had the good fortune of working with Aleksa L as my Occupational Therapist for a finger issue. I was very impressed with her knowledge, organization, care and instructions on the best way to heal. There seemed to be no end to her patience. She answered all my questions and printed handouts for me to continue my work at home. She deserves a 10 out of 10!

Fantastic experience: Awesome, kind, caring, physical therapist. I’ve been in and out of PT for almost 15 years and learned new things from them, and have actionable exercises and stretches. I can do on my own. Clean, nice facility with great equipment, even a Pilates reformer!

Fantastic experience: Aleska was my hand therapist. I had a great experience with her - very professional and easy to talk to. I saw solid results by the end of my program. The environment is also friendly overall. Great staff and it was easy to schedule appointments.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE 2/2/23: I have been going for about a year with an ankle injury. Select PT has great therapists and Audrey has taken care of me for most of the duration of my treatments and secondary is Julie. I have rehabilitated with their assistance. Friendly and care about each and every patient needing PT. Thank you for taking good care of me! =================== Feb 2022: The physical therapists Virginia and Julie are very friendly and knowledgeable. No waiting time. It is always a pleasure going to my appts. I'm getting better and thankful for my caring therapists .

Fantastic experience: The physical therapists at Select PT at Geary Blvd were attentive to all my questions and concerns from the initial session until the very last session 2 months later. They helped me address knee pain that I have been experiencing for over 7 years. Because of Audrey and Julie, I do not have any knee pain today, and feel stronger and more confident to exercise and go about my day to day whether its sitting at my desk or walking up/down stairs.

Fantastic experience: This is a great facility, they pay a lot of attention. I went there to seek some help for my tenis elbow as recomended by my orthopedic doctor, and everyone I interacted with was wonderful. Aleksa, my physical therapist was especially nice, very professional, thoughtful and diligent. Everyone there is apparently very well trained and focused.

My Physical Therapist is Virginia Fung. I have found her to be incredibly helpful, brilliant, super flexible (my schedule keeps shifting due to my elderly parents needing more support) and the exercises I have been given my Virginia are HELPING!!! YAY!!!!! I also find the support staff at Select wonderful and friendly and helpful as well and that makes a huge difference to me. I am not always my best self when I am in pain, and to have their kindness makes me feel much less cranky!!!!! A huge THANK YOU to Virginia and the entire team at Select Physical Therapy!!! Fantastic experience: Aleksa has done a phenomenal job helping with my recovery so far. She pays attention to what I describe, and brings real expertise to her work. She's helped me chart a realistic recovery plan that I can execute on regularly and that has brought me real progress.

Fantastic experience: Had a tremendous experience with Select PT. We had multiple occasions to check in and measure progress and make sure that the plan we were on was the correct one. I felt that my treatment plan was well suited to my recovery and ramped up throughout the months of appointments to consistently provide challenges. I always felt better on days with appointments and was able to graduate with a plan to take care of myself beyond the appointments. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: The professionals at Select Physical Therapy at 3222 Geary Blvd. in San Francisco helped me to recover from shoulder surgery. They helped me regain my range of motion and strength. Audrey, Julie and Stella were terrific. They communicated regularly with my surgeon, and they provided me with daily exercises. Tammy efficiently manages the business and scheduling for the office. Although I didn't work with her, Virginia seemed very competent as well.

Fantastic experience: Select PT has been friendly, flexible and fully knowledgeable. After my Surgeon's primary recommendation was full Select PT was our fall back choice. They were able to take me immediately and I can't imagine our original choice could have been any better. Select PT has answered questions in a way that I could understand, better than my surgeon even. Select PT is incredibly flexible with their scheduling and availability, always accommodating my needs to the best of their ability. But above all, the professionals at Select PT are friendly and have empathy. They are real people who are present in the moment and not distracted away from giving me their full attention and care. Fantastic experience: When I was told that I would need physical therapy for my knee, I started calling the places on the list the orthopedic surgeon gave me. The first place I called, closest to my house, had an answering machine. The second place I called the person that answered the phone was quite rude...it was like I had interrupted her morning. The third place I called was Select Physical Therapy at 3222 Geary Blvd. The person answered the phone right away and was courteous and informative. Even though this place isn’t as close as the first 2 places were, I felt good about the way I was treated. As it turns out, the therapists here are also very efficient, professional, caring and friendly. I am always taken on time. I would highly recommend this organization to anyone who needs physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: Physical therapy is like tax returns, we only do them because we have to. However, Select Physical Therapy makes PT as pleasant as it can be. They’re very nice and very good at helping you heal. My shoulder feels a lot better.

Courtney is very pleasant and encouraging and clearly shows me the proper way to practice each of the exercises. She makes sure every minute of our sessions is productive and is skillful at varying our activities so that I don’t become overly tired or sore or bored. Fantastic experience: This is the best PT I have ever had. There are only a few people in there at a time. They give you the attention you really need. They ask lots of questions and do dianogstics on your injury, pain, and movements. After they continue to ask those original questions and work to fit your new levels.
