Fantastic experience: I have seen Sarah for many things. Most recently is for my motorcycle accident. I fell off my bike in Thailand and hurt my neck and right shoulder. My neck was really stiff and my right shoulder had issues lifting it up. I could not do a lot of things anymore with my right shoulder. In my session, she did acupuncture and cupping. I really love cupping. After our session, my right shoulder had better range and less pain. The acupuncture helped loosen up my neck. Although I have more ways to go, I always like coming to see Sarah. She's good at what she does, knowledgeable and really cares about her patients!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend the doctor. She is very knowledgeable and patient. She never rushes, and tries to help the patient based on the individual needs. I met doctor after one of my major surgery and Dr Sara really helped me ! Acupuncture and the medication helped me get my body back. From my personal experience I would guarantee that Dr Sara is licensed professional. She does treat a wide range of conditions! One of the best things I love about her is that she is very honest about your health condition. She never tries to increase the number of sessions unnecessarily. Fantastic experience: This was my first experience with acupuncture and Dr. Liu at Maystar was a great choice. The office is very welcoming, professional, friendly and relaxing. Dr. Liu listens very carefully to you and your body and asks the right questions to help with any issue you may have. I had pain in my mid back, and a few other ailments that vanished within 12 hours of treatment. I was surprised to learn that acupuncture can treat insomnia, digestive issues, energy levels and much more. Thank you Dr. Liu!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Liu is very professional and experienced doctor. She has treated me since the Pandemic, and help me improve and overcome different issues such as chronic pain, sport and work-related injuries, allergies, sleep, anxiety, and stress. Her treatment is very effective and saved me from taking excessive pain killers and other medicines. The healthcare center is very peaceful and clean. I visited it as frequent as weekly now, making it as routine care of my health. Fantastic experience: Smart and compassionate doctor. Gave treatment to my mom that tremendeously helps with her chronic parotitis and nerve issue. Her acupuncture treatment, massage by the therapists, and herbs are spot on for greatly reducing the chronic pain for my mom. We're a believer in acupuncture and Chinese medicine now, thanks to a great first experience with her! The Western medication we had for months was just aimed at managing the pain, but her acupuncture and herbs have been successful in reducing the inflammation in the source area and restoring some nerve functions. All her team members are nice and friendly. Very straightforward with the pricing and reasonable pricing. Easy to access and ample parking. Clean office and enforced covid protocol to make you feel safe.

Fantastic experience: This is a nice clean professional clinic with true Eastern/functional medicine practitioners. This not a Chinese massage place doing acupuncture part time. Dr. Liu is a consummate professional who, from your first visit, through your recovery, and to your final visit, will always listen to you. Our body changes/heals between each visit and she is always ready to hear what's on your mind and adjust treatment accordingly. The front desk, staffed by May, is also very professional and warm. One never feels lonelier until one is injured and Dr. Liu and her staff make you feel that they are with you in your recovery journey. I am forever grateful. Best wishes to your recovery.

Fantastic experience: After reading other acupuncturist reviews on another reviewing website, I decided to try Maystar. There are a number of other positively reviewed acupuncturist but I felt those who posted reviews about Maystar were genuinely happy with the individualized care and their results. I had tried acupuncture in the past without any really positive results but this time I decided to try again with someone who had specific training and experience with traditional Chinese medicine, which I feel is more preventative rather than reactionary like Western health care. e.g. take pills to treat the symptoms instead of addressing the root of the problem as Chinese medicine does. After three treatments with Dr. Liu I had noticeable changes in the condition I went to see her for. I had lab work done a week before and five weeks after I began treatment with Dr Liu. My lab work numbers for my condition significantly improved. You can't get more black and white than that. Dr. Liu asked detailed questions about my medical history and followed up with clarifying questions during my initial consultation. This allowed her to have a good understanding of my issue and anything that could be related or contributing to it. She really dialed in on the treatment I needed. She accomplished a significant improvement in my health in five weeks what another health care provider did not do in years. I've found Dr. Liu to be a wealth of information about incorporating specific foods into my diet for my specific condition. At her suggestion I started making "cilantro tea" and I'm very pleased at how it's helped me. Google it. I can't say how happy I am to have found a health care provider who really knows her stuff, who is a great "medical detective" (through clarifying questions she pinpointed my condition), and provides great individualized patient care. If Google offered a six-star rating I would rate Maystar with six.

Fantastic experience: I normally do not write a review, but Dr Liu deserves more than a good review. Dr Liu is one of the experienced and extremely knowledgeable Dr that I have seen in my entire life. Due to my chronic neck shoulder pain I had very problems lifting heavy stuff and got a lot of pain. I visited a lot of doctors such as: primary, Orthopedic, urgent care, chiropractic, neurologist… but nothing was helpful until I met Dr Liu. In the first session Dr Liu examined me and explained to me what is going on. She listens very carefully and tries her best to help me. She has a wonderful bedside manner, easy to talk to, she has a genuinely kind heart and always greets me with a smile. Her goal is to help her patients. Her office is very clean, and she is managing everything so well during the covid 19. She measures first your temperature and then there is sanitizer at the front, while you are coming in you can sanitize your hands. Even when you use a pen at the front desk it's sterilized. In addition, if you are entering her office you will not keep in touch with other patients because She organizes her time that other patients will not keep in touch with each other. I am very impressed how she is managing everything so well. Every session while visiting her I felt much better and better and I don’t have any physical problems anymore. I have also seen Dr Liu for different issues such as migraine and sweating at night. Since visiting Dr Liu, I don’t have any migraine anymore. I am so grateful that a good friend has recommended Dr Liu. Thank you so much Dr Liu for everything. I suffered a lot but it's over because of you. Thank you for taking care of me and helping me.

Fantastic experience: I decided to visit Dr. Sarah Liu at her Maystar clinic after trying almost every other possible treatments for my chronic neck pain, including surgery. I can’t say that I am 100% pain free, but after doing the recommended treatment (no more, no less) I am about 80-90% pain free, which is better than anything else that I have tried! As an ICU nurse, I have a pretty high standard for caregivers and Dr. Liu is everything you would want- kind, professional, a good listener, washes her hands, etc. I enjoyed a couple massages which were also helpful and affordable.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Dr. Sarah Liu. She achieves fast results, and is very experienced in working with athletes. Dr. Liu is honest and good at setting realistic expectations. Office is clean and setting is professional - located near to Santana Row. Would return for pain relief and also recommend to others.

Fantastic experience: Acupuncture can be scary if you think about it for too long, but after my visit, I can assure you that if you're under the care of this practice, then you are in great hands!! Dr. Liu has a gentle touch and uses these heat lamps to keep you nice and toasty! In addition to the acupuncture! At the end of my session, I felt totally relaxed and I felt instantly rejuvenated. If you are trying acupuncture for the first time, I would definitely give this place a try, you won't regret it!

Fantastic experience: Acupuncture and cupping is very foreign to me, being a southern bred white trash, but I felt welcome and conformable. Left with herbs in a pill form so I didn't have to drink a scary tea. Felt better as soon as I left and was healthy by the next day

Fantastic experience: Dr. Liu helped me when traditional western medicine made me feel worse. I suffered from neck, back pain, and headaches for months. My GP provided pills and set me up with PT which only made matters worse. From my first session with Dr. Liu I felt relief. She was thorough and patient and explained all procedures thoroughly. I was able to get relief from a condition which caused me daily pain. Dr. Liu worked out a plan that gradually reduced the number of sessions as I improved. I now rarely experience pain and when I do, one session allows me to feel better and move on. I have seen Dr. Liu for additional issues of heartburn and pain from a running injury. Each time I see her I am provided relief from my symptoms. Even though she is busy, she has always found time to fit in an appointment when I need it. I am so happy to have found something that addresses my pain and discomfort and does not mask the symptoms with medication. Rather than being reliant on a pill or doctor, Dr. Liu has given me independence and a way to improve. I cannot recommend her enough! Plus she takes my insurance! An added plus!

Fantastic experience: Recently I got diagnosed by Bells Palsy, Doctors at other institute did not gave a confident answer on when the Bells Palsy would be cured, Luckily after searching about chinese medicine, Acupuncture got to know that Bells Palsy could be cured using Acupuncture. Dr Sarah Liu looked at my case and gave a confident answer that if treatment is started now, the Bells palsy would be recovered in 3 weeks. For my surprise, the Bells Palsy was recoverd in 3 weeks. Dr is very friendly and experienced. I have recommended my wife and other friends to make use of maystar natural for their backpane and neckpane related problems. I can see them recovering after 4-5 sittings.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Liu is an excellent Acupuncturist. I have been using many Acupuncturist in the US. She is my number one to go Acupuncturist. She has the gentle touch with pinpoint accurate incision. Pain relief pile cannot resolve the problem, Dr. Liu is the only that can help me. I am living in Texas. It is my must stop every time in the Bay area. Sometime I have to make a special trip to visit Dr. Liu for my Neck and Join pain. She also treat my skin rash issue with recommendation of herbal supplement. The most important thing is you know you can trust her to help you relief the pain.
