Athletico Physical Therapy - Tucson (East Broadway)

Fantastic experience: I've been having nerve-related foot problems for over two years and its only been in the month since I've been working with Athletico that I've regained feeling and mobility in my toes. Michael and Esperanza did a great job.

Fantastic experience: I am a local gym owner. I have been a patient here and have also sent many friends and clients here over the years. Mike and his team have an incredible track record of getting our clients healed up, and back in the gym quickly. They work with us (as opposed to most medical establishments that tend to work against us) to provide a long-term plan for getting/keeping people exercising and mobile. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I had broken the Ball of my shoulder and my Orthopedic Doctor recommended physical therapy. I contacted a good friend in the physical therapy field whom I respected his opinion. He highly recommend Mike Chiesi at Atletico at Broadway and Pantano. My first appointment I wasn’t allowed to do anything until my shoulder healed. Mike worked with me massaging my shoulder and doing little movements until my doctor released me to full physical therapy. I was having trouble sleeping as I couldn’t lay down. Mike showed me ways I could lay and get some rest which really helped. My balance was off and I was getting dizzy. Mike showed me exercises to eliminate the vertigo and really helped me to regain my balance. Once I was released to full physical therapy he gave me exercises and I was able to regain full rotation of my shoulder and use of my right arm which is my dominant arm. At my final visit to my Orthopedic Doctor, he was amazed that I had regained full use and rotation. Mike is a great listener and heard my challenges. He adjusted each visit to my symptoms and needs. I am grateful to him for his expertise and knowledge and have happily recommended him to friends and family who have also been helped by Mike. He is amazing and I am grateful for his help. Fantastic experience: I'm a rock climber and sustained a lower back injury some time ago. A trainer friend recommended this location as a way to manage the injury and they did not steer me wrong. The staff here are incredibly attentive and skilled and helped me tremendously. I highly recommend them, even if one of the therapists thinks Kansas City is better than Tucson.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about the staff here. The truly listen to you when you explain your circumstances. They ask appropriate questions as well so they can gauge their treatments for the client. I have personally worked with Mike the mgr, and Espy who have helped me make great strides in my recovery & health.

Fantastic experience: When I started seeing Brian I had a list of problem areas that kept me from enjoying pain free movement. Hamstring, low back, elbows and rhomboids! Brian was able to get my head above water with all of these painful areas and he has me back out playing on my bike and running on the trails!

Fantastic experience: This clinic has the best team, and Mike is the best PT! He treated me for a long time, and truly helped me. I had a cervical fusion that wasn't as successful as I would have hoped, and I was in miserable pain daily. Mike managed to not only decrease my pain, but also help me get stronger to limit pain and flare ups in the future. If you're on the fence on whether or not PT can help your chronic pain, go see him for an evaluation! You won't regret your decision!

Fantastic experience: I have had lots of experience in the world of physical therapy as a patient. It's very rare that you find an office quite like this one. I came to Athletico feeling traumatized from my accident, terrified of the road ahead, confused on how to handle myself physically, and entire mess emotionally. From the very start, Michael and his amazing staff treated me with the utmost respect, patience and kindness. The genuine concern and compassion that I've experienced here has tremendously helped my healing and physical progress, as well as giving me new tools and perspectives on how to manage my anxiety surrounding my surgery. Not only being one of apparently few in town who have the knowledge to treat Lowe body lymphedema, Nic addressed other physical issues, as well. The lymphedema treatment was tremendously successful. I will continue to work with Athletico in my new location in Mesa, Arizona.

Fantastic experience: Mike and Lucia are amazing! They are always so friendly and welcoming when I come in. Mike doesn’t take it easy on me but he makes sure I stick to the “no pain” rule. They are very accommodating when it comes to my work schedule also! 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Mike has been great in helping me in strengthening my knee.He is so knowledgeable about each strengthening exercise. The facility is neat and clean. With Covid happening I appreciate the effort the make to have one person at a time and cleaning each piece of equipment before and after treatment. I can’t remember the receptionists name is but she always has a smile and we always have a good conversation. She helped to accommodate a change i needed in my schedule. It’s been a positive experience!!

Fantastic experience: This is such an amazing place. You don’t feel like a stranger going here. I have had both my kids 9 and 11 going here at the same time and they were great at accommodating the two kids appointments at the same time. Currently I also go here and have seen amazing results. I came in with little flexibility to my neck and with their guidance I have regained a lot of my flexibility. They have done this while keeping in mind my lower back. Which is something I’ll be in here next for. So if you are looking for. Place go no further. You will not be disappointed.

My daughter and I were hit by a distracted driver on Thanksgiving, and while this is something out of our control. They have made this a wonderful experience. We are healing, and getting back to 100%. They are very patient, kind, knowledgeable, and understanding. It means a lot to walk through the door greeted with a kind hello, and a huge smile you can see through the mask on Lucia's face. I was so impressed with what Mike Chiesi had accomplished. I brought my daughter into Athletico East as well. Not only has he help heal my rotator cuff, headaches and cervical strain. He is also excellent with vestibular and balance for concussions.
