Pueblo Springs Rehabilitation

Fantastic experience: I just spent five days in Pueblo Springs Rehab Center following knee replacement surgery. My recovery was compounded because my heart stopped beating during recovery at the hospital. Therefore making rehabilitation more extensive than expected. The entire staff has been exceptional. The PT and OT that I received was excellent and focused on my needs. The facility was very clean, the staff knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the quality and the varied selections for meals. I highly recommend Pueblo Springs Rehab Center.

Fantastic experience: My Mother was at Pueblo Springs for a month, and was given excellent care, Dr's, nursing staff, cna's went out of their way to make my Moms stay comfortable. Equipment she needed was ordered and received the same day. Thank you all Pueblo Springs staff for all your attention to my Mother.

Fantastic experience: The good, the bad, and the ugly. I have been here a year as a resident and have a good sense of the atmosphere. Let's start with the go to ladies, Margie &Marlena, they know what's what and will go the extra mile to help you. Next the nurses, if you have Natasha or Araceli you are in luck. They have it together,while being loving, compassionate and following strict rules and dealing with difficult situations. I can't forget the CNA'S, they are a good group of guys and gals, I especially like Bonnie she knows her stuff. She comes in with a big smile and then gets her job done. She does little things to show she cares. One of the newer CNA'S, Bubbles, is great. She shows how much she cares by being loving. She is very attentive and thorough while dealing with much. Then there's therapy, excellent unit, they pester you all the time but that's what we need. The boss, Kristen, she is a slave driver, in a good way, she is persistent and does not take no for an answer. I have seen many become mobile, myself included. Then there is the wound nurse, Jennifer is great, she has alot going for her, she's kind thoughtful and caring. She accomplishes much in spite of a very busy schedule. She needs help admin. Speaking of needing help, our maintenance man, Sergio, while doing a boatload of work, he is only one man, he also needs help. How about laundry, Delilah tries to get as much done as she can... This is one area where it is unacceptable to fall short, incontinent patients need their linen. Something needs to change. Well that's the good,and the bad; the ugly I don't talk about because you can turn ugly into beautiful, it's a choice.

Fantastic experience: This is the place! Very nice place to rehab. The facility is quite extensive and has all the staff a place this size needs. So many places are understaffed and do not care about anything other the man numbers. Here you will not feel like just another number and you will leave knowing the names of all the staff members. Great people.

Fantastic experience: I wish I had known about Pueblo Springs the first time my mom needed rehabilitation. She went to Sabino Canyon rehab and left no better than when she went, and we ended up filing a grievance. Pueblo Springs on the other hand, was amazing and very different in the way they care for their patients. My mom was talked to and treated with respect and dignity. The staff seemed happy and smiled every day. They were also great at communicating with me while my mom was there. I never felt forgotten or in the way when I had questions. My mom may have had a better outcome had she gone to Pueblo Springs first, but nonetheless, it was a very positive experience, and I hope other families will consider choosing Pueblo Springs for their loved ones. Fantastic experience: Pueblo Springs Rehab has been great from start to finish, they were worked with my Grandma's insurance and they explained in full detail as sometimes insurance can be complex. They had extra staff help assist by moving her in as my work schedule changed last minute. When getting in contact with nurses, it's been very accommodating and I appreciate their sense of urgency. Despite living a few states away, they make me feel as though I am only a couple miles away when it comes to discussing my Grandma.

Fantastic experience: I have been an employee here for about 8 months. I have worked at other facilities and I have to say the staff here really care about the residents. I’ve worked for the company for five years and this is by far one of the beautiful facilities. Every place has kinks and things that change but the staff is wonderful. We strive in patient care and they are number one! I would highly recommend this place to family and friends!

Fantastic experience: My father-in-law was at Pueblo Springs twice last year to receive therapy. The staff was very caring and treated him very well. He enjoyed his stays there. My mother-in-law also had to go for therapy after a broken femur. Pueblo Springs was our first choice. The staff is very responsive when questions arise.

Fantastic experience: I have worked in many skilled nursing facilities and, while Pueblo Springs has had its ups and downs, the primary reason why is the previous leadership. It is under new ownership and leadership now and there are improvements made every day. There are extremely satisfied patients and families leaving every day, with compliments about the care and the caring staff. Yes, there was a history of poor customer service, rude staff members, but it's a new day and a new way! The leaders are committed to making every patient's experience the best it can be, and no more will the concerns be swept under the carpet as they had been in the past. The culture is changing and the focus is on the patients and elevating the level of satisfaction, one patient and family at a time.

Fantastic experience: Following total knee replacement surgery at TMC, I was a patient at Pueblo Springs Rehabilitation for 10 days (4-11-19 through 4-20-19 and discharged 4-21-19). I rated my stay as 5 stars, however it was more like a 10 star experience. The east unit group nursing staff: Maria, Maricela, Sally, Paula, Annie, Carlos Brandi, and others were always very professional, friendly, and responsible in taking care of my needs. They answered my call button in a timely manner considering the number of other patients they were responsible for in the unit. The food was always good. in my opinion. The Physical Therapy (PT) Facility is managed by Josie a very talented and experience Physical Therapist with over 30 years experience in the field of PT. Josie and her highly skilled staff: Ashley, Sara, and Dean, and Occupational Therapist: Kenneisha, Lupe, and Richelle were very instrumental in my early discharge to home decision. I felt that I received exceptional personal attention benefiting from their expertise every day of my stay at Pueblo Springs. My only previous experience with PT was at Tucson Orthopaedic Institute. In my opinion the PT facility and staff at Pueblo Springs is a first class cutting edge operation. I am so grateful and thankful for the PT rehab treatment I received at Pueblo Springs, which I personally feel has played a huge roll in my amazing progress to date (no more need for a walker or cane) just 25 days after my knee surgery. I'm looking forward to my next stay at Pueblo Springs in August/2019 following total knee replacement on my other knee.

Fantastic experience: Pueblo Springs staff is extremely professional and provides consistent services throughout the facility, which is second to none. The Administrative & nursing staff focuses on the small details which makes a huge difference when providing care to their patients and helping family members with assistance.

Its the care and the compassion that the staff have for their patients that you immediately see. You will be greeted with a smile and the willingness to point you in the right direction. Fantastic experience: Pueblo Springs is truly a great place to bring your loved ones. Top notch rehabilitation with seasoned therapists will give you the best outcome for your health and wellbeing. Staff has been revamped, including executive management, Neil Cullen who is a true advocate in quality patient care. Your loved one will also have access to onsite services furnished by the dietary department and social services.

Fantastic experience: I have had the privilege of being in the Pueblo Springs building to observe and shadow leadership this week. From the first day I stepped into the building the staff have been friendly and greeted myself and each other with smiles. I have talked to many of the residents who shared with me their love for their aides and for all those who help take care of them. The building is updated and clean and my experience there has been wonderful!!!

Fantastic experience: My mother-in-law loved Pueblo Springs when she was there after a fall several years ago. I have a question- Is Pueblo Springs just a rehab facility or does it offer long-term care....such as a nursing home?

Fantastic experience: I have had family in this facility a couple times each. During one stay there was a miscommunication with meds from the hospital to Pueblo but the issue was addressed almost immediately. No place is perfect, especially when it's not your own. At Pueblo Springs with a lot of the staff being there for 5-10 plus years, they all make the place feel warm and welcoming. With out a doubt if my family needs a boost of rehab, they would be more than happy to have Pueblo by their side, encouraging them each day.
