McFarland Sports Medicine

The physicians of McFarland Clinic are proud to serve as Iowa State Cyclone athletic team physicians. Our role is to help manage care for injured athletes, helping them return to the game, ready to take on the Cyclones' opponents.

Getting you back to your sport quickly is our top priority. Our sports medicine specialists in primary care and orthopedic surgery have the skills, training and expertise to diagnose and treat a variety of injuries in athletes of all levels and ages. We provide nonsurgical and surgical treatments and collaborate with other certified specialists, radiologists, physical therapists and athletic trainers to offer comprehensive services for athletes.

McFarland Primary Care Sports Medicine physicians can maximize non-surgical orthopedic treatments, guide appropriate referrals to physical and occupational therapies, and if necessary expedite referral to our orthopedic sports medicine surgeons. As fellowship trained physicians in sports medicine, our physicians offer the highest level of expertise for all of your athletes needs.

McFarland Clinic Orthopedic Surgeons are experienced, board certified physicians that are here to help you with your orthopedic needs. Our team of experts is here to give you the fastest, healthiest and most complete recovery possible. 

Whether you have a sports injury, an acute injury, chronic pain or need a joint replacement, we offer a wide range of surgical services for the musculoskeletal system. We have physicians that are specialists in treating hand disorders and spine problems, as well as all around orthopedic care in the areas of knees, shoulders, ankles, elbows and hips.  

Our team of athletic trainers are committed to providing extraordinary care for high schools, colleges, club teams, and local recreational groups, as well as individuals who are physically active. McFarland physicians work with several certified athletic trainers (ATCs) through McFarland Clinic and Iowa State University.
