Primary Health Care - Ames Medical & Dental

Fantastic experience: Katy is an awesome provider and the nurses have been nothing but extremely kind. I mainly go for issues with my mental health and the staff is all very empathetic.

Fantastic experience: The appointment went well and they were able to see my boy in a timely and professional manner. My boy is shy so a friendly face went far! Appreciate how they made him feel welcomed and at ease.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff I’ve had the pleasure of in contact with have always been very accommodating, friendly, and excellent all around. I am an individual who asks plenty of questions, and without fail, they take the time to find me an adequate/thorough response. A brief note, I do have coverage with zero co-pays; so I can’t comment on the experience on the side of billing. Additionally, I have never used this facility for a walk-in visit so I am unable to provide feedback towards that end either. But to summarize, for my own personal experience I only have positive things to say towards the staff. They do get busy so there is an occasional wait time so it’s a good idea to call ahead and schedule for when you’re free of responsibilities. Two thumbs up and a blown kiss :)

Fantastic experience: Ames Primary Health dental is so awesome! I was having pain in my tooth and their emergency call in appointments were very much appreciated. The receptionists are all so very warm and welcoming and treat you so kind! The dental assistants & dentist are all very personable and helpful! Keep up the good work

Fantastic experience: Ames Clinic- Sure they are busy and you can be waiting for a long time past your appointment time, but the care you receive from the staff is EXCELLENT. I will happily wait longer to have a Doctor that listens to me and treats me with dignity over other offices who are on time, but don't take the time to really address your issues. These Doctor's and Nurses are humble and human. The receptionists are super busy and do their best to keep things together. I wouldn't want anyone else to treat me.

Fantastic experience: My counselor referred me to PHC. They accept my insurance (whereas many places don't- I'm on a MCO/Medicare/Medicaid (I always get them confused). This was the best move I've made in my adult life for Behavioral Health/MH/SA. They encourage that as much as is available be taken care of within their walls - this is helpful because it reduces the amount of paperwork/disclosures necessary in order to provide complete patient information. Also it means I can get multiple appointments taken care of within the same place/day - which is super helpful because I dont drive. Don't allow trolls to deter you - I cannot speak for other patients - I have personally been treated with respect, dignity, and kindness- any frustrations I've experienced are minor miscommunications or unreasonable requests/expectations. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I've read some horrible reviews about PHC, so I felt compelled to attempt to set the record straight. I have always had positive experiences with PHC. The receptionists have been anything but rude t me. They've always treated me with dignity and respect. The same goes for the medical staff that I've worked with. Wait times are reasonable and I've always left with my needs having been met. I find it helpful to keep my expectations reasonable and not look for them to give me "Rock Star" treatment. I'm treated far better than I ever was at that money-grubbing medical office across town. I intend to continue my relationship with them for the foreseeable future.

Fantastic experience: I love PHC because they are inclusive and diverse. They consistently exercise kindness, compassion and respect above and beyond the usual. They are mission driven. Every practitioner I have encountered there is very thorough and skilled. And they see and treat the whole person, not just the presenting “ailment.” Thank you, PHC!

Positive experience: I have always had positive experiences here at Primary Health Care. The receptionists are courteous and prompt and the medical staff is professional, knowledgeable and personable. Katy, Sallie, Austin and Satheesh are all great!

Fantastic experience: Moved here on Wednesday. Got sick with what felt like the plague on Sunday. I'm out of network until my new insurance kicks in early next year. PHC, Inc. got me in to see a doctor same day, were very prompt, the care team were extremely kind and professional, and I was able to pay my (very affordable) bill right away. Went back two days later because my condition worsened and was taken care of just as well. I will be making this office my primary doctor right away.
