You may be able to get financial assistance if you do not have health insurance or the portion of your bill not covered by insurance is more than you can afford to pay.

Financial assistance is generally determined by a sliding scale of total household income based on the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). If you and/or the responsible party’s family income combined is at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines, you may have no financial responsibility for the care given by Community Anderson.

We can answer questions about Medicaid, the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) and purchasing insurance on the marketplace. Having health insurance is not only the law, but it allows you to get the health care you need.

The state of Indiana offers a health insurance program for uninsured adult Hoosiers called HIP (Healthy Indiana Plan). The program is sponsored by the state and only requires minimal monthly contributions from the participant. There are other state programs available for children and pregnant women.

If you are worried about paying your hospital bills or if you do not have health insurance, we may be able to help. We are available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Community wants to help patients understand the cost of their care as well as the financial assistance and payment options that may be available to them. In compliance with federal law, Community Hospital Anderson provides standard chargemaster prices for hospital services and charges grouped by DRG (Diagnosis Related Group). Keep in mind the list price of a hospital service is typically not the amount the patient or their insurance will pay due to many factors including, but not limited to, health insurance, discounts and a patient’s financial need.

A patient may at any time ask a healthcare provider for an estimate of the amount the patient will be charged by the provider and health facility for non-emergency medical services provided in Community facilities. The law requires that the estimate be provided within 5 business days.

If you need a price estimate, please call the Community Health Network Pricing Support Center at 844-786-9503 (toll-free) or 317-355-9279 to start the process. Fantastic experience: More concerned with you as a person and your health. The nurses are respectful, the doctor's take time and listen. Your not just another patient. So much better than Ball hospital IU health. These people that work here care.

Fantastic experience: For the life of me, I don't understand anyone posting a negative review of Community Hospital. We arrived early for my appointment, but were called in almost immediately. The Dr. actually listened to me, and was attentive to my concerns. I was also there for another matter, and we had a bit of trouble finding where to go. People we didn't even know helped us find our way. The hospital was clean and the staff was more than friendly. It was our first time there, and we were very pleased.

Fantastic experience: Community Hospital is the best of the best. The staff is fantastic. Recently I went for an outpatient therapeutic Phlebotomy. Taken upstairs everyone greeted me. Even the Nurses at the nurses station all stopped to say hello. The phlebotomist ( I think his name was Cory) was fantastic. Gentle, caring, and understood what Hemochromatosis patients deal with. I will never forget how he made me feel and the extra mile he went for me. All of the people I came in contact with were the absolute best.

Fantastic experience: Donita Long in Financial Counselding Office is amazing! She shows leadership, offers inspiration, and deploys boundless energy in support of obtaining vital medical care for my daughter. The compassion for our situation she demonstrates, and extensive knowledge of human services she shares with each interaction, extend far beyond my expectations and clearly establish Ms. Long as the embodiment of Community Hospital Anderson’s vision.

Fantastic experience: I came into the ER after having some drainage and infection on my foot. This was previously being handled by another hospital but was getting worse. The ER team quickly identified that I had a serious problem and admitted me into the hospital right away. The teams of nurses and doctors here have been great in explaining everything they were doing and helping me out in any way they can. Also, the food here was spectacular and gets high marks for taste and having that home cooked feel. I want thank the nurses and caretakers here because I honestly believe that without their care and knowledge I would of probably lost part or all of my foot. Again thanks for everything and though the road to full recovery will be long I know I can get there with the help and support from the caretakers at Community Hospital of Anderson, ** Follow Up ** I have been coming back daily for antibiotic treatments and again the nurses and staff of the "Quick Trip" area have been spectacular. Everyone is so nice and understanding and they never fail to inform me of exactly what they are doing. Even as bad as my foot feels it makes my day better to be handled with such professionalism and compassion.

Fantastic experience: I first wasted time at the filthy, staphylococcus infested IU Ball Memorial Hospital ER getting pushed out of my room so that they could bring in more patients (revenue) and being refused care by the doctor's helper, Hillary Chaney. She cut me off while I tried to explain my issue, then refused care and told me that they need the room. Even waitresses don't come right out and say that they need the table for the next party. It was surreal. This happened within five minutes. I was crushed. I already felt ashamed and embarrassed over what was happening to my body and had waited days debating getting treatment of because of that. After being refused care by Hillary Chaney at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, I drove to Community Hospital of Anderson. Their facility was clean and well maintained. I was quickly and kindly put into a room. After only five minutes a real nurse came to check on me and asked how I was and made me feel comfortable and assured me that I was going to be listened to and cared for. The actual doctor came in to see me within fifteen minutes of the nurse leaving the room. He listened to me, looked at specimen that I brought with me and let me point out the ulcers in my mouth. The doctor left my room with the specimen came back within the hour with a prescription for an antihelmetic and an antibiotic. I am well on the mend now and so relieved that I went on and drove to Community Hospital of Anderson instead of just driving on home sobbing and devestated after the horrible experience with the doctor's helper, Hillary Chaney, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. Do your mental and physical health a favor and drive on over to Community Hospital of Anderson and avoid Hillary Chaney and IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital like the plague. Please do this for family and friends as well. Avoiding IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital will likely save your and their precious health. Take care of yourselves, friends!

Fantastic experience: I think community hospital is better than IU ball memorial hospital because the emergency room takes the time to listen to you and take what you say into consideration when coming to an outcome of your medical treatment. Also the nursing staff and the doctors are very kind!!

Fantastic experience: I came here to deliver my baby, and I just have to say that while I was there, delivering the entire nursing staff was just absolutely amazing, everyone was so incredibly friendly and uplifting and really made my labor and the process of the few days of healing in the hospital, just very memorable and the very best of ways. I didn’t have any family with me and the nursing staff that I had during active labor was just absolutely wonderful and I felt really comfortable and they just really helped me through a hard process and I really just have to say that they are absolutely wonderful and my doctor or OB was Dr. Mittapalli and he was absolutely incredible as well! 10/10 recommend having your baby here! This was my second baby I had here

Fantastic experience: I love this hospital.I will drive out of my way just to go here even though I'm closer to another one. The staff is always friendly, when there's not a ton of people there they get you back in a room quick, and once in a room they see you quickly. Every time I've gone here its been a quicker visit than at any other hospital. This place is awesome!

RN Matt and Courtney were two of the nicest people we have met. This is the second time within a year we have had to take him there and we have been very pleased both times.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Community Hospital Anderson was an amazing experience! I had major back surgery and was blessed by God to have Dr. Callahan as my surgeon! Was dealing with nerve pain in my legs for years. But thanks to Dr Callahan and his entire staff a miracle has occurred for me! I am now pain free for the first time in forever. I cried doing my first PT because I instantly could tell the pain was gone! Was treated like a king by staff, all the nurses assigned to me, and great food, too! Amazing after care with everyone involved! Could not be happier! Dr. Callahan…an angel in disguise! Thanks to all!

Fantastic experience: Usually when I go tonthe ER well anywhere I am treated as a pill junkie or addict. Last night I went in there prepared for the same. But DR Miller in the ER was fantastic. The nurse Sam was awesome as well. Treated me like a human being. I cried. Tears of relief. Yes I am on pain meds at home. No I do not act like most of Anderson. I get it. They see it all. But I am so thankful for their kind words and quick pain relief.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to Community Hospital in Anderson in a number of years. I Highly recommend this place. I had surgery on my back and I can say without hesitation that I was treated with the utmost respect from the moment I walked into the hospital until I was taken to the car when I left for home. God bless everyone who assisted me anytime I needed it. Also, God bless you, Dr. James David Callahan, and your entire team, too. Fantastic experience: My husband came into the hospital via ambulance as he was too weak to even climb up into our truck. He had chills and a low grade fever, vomiting plus a history of other medical issues. My husband was taken to a room immediately and was given excellent care. We were there for over 5 hours but in that time my husband had a full workup to find out the cause of his symptoms, which turned out to be dehydration and a viral infection . He was rehydrated which helped with his fever and given a prescription for the nausea. Every staff member treated us with respect and was very professional from the front desk to the nurses, X-ray tech and ER doctor. We were referred to Community by family members who use their services.

Fantastic experience: The staff was extremely caring generous and concerned about my well-being. New policy and procedures seemed to be noticable. Nurses and techs and the Doctors all had a different attitude. Each smiled greeted and showed a general interest and left the "its Anderson" attitude (the norm) out the door. That change in attitude is soooo welcomed.

Fantastic experience: Community is the only place I will go and the only place I will take my kids when needed. Just had to take my 2 year old son here yesterday evening and the staff was friendly, and when he had to have his ultrasound done the lady was understanding and even helped calm him by having him listen for birds. His and his twin brothers pediatric surgeon is at Community North and because of this hospital's emergency room staff taking the extra step, we now know what's wrong with him and know what comes next for him.
