Fantastic experience: I had my choice of multiple facilities for rehab and chose The Anderson based on several years of hearing nothing but positive feedback. The facility, the staff, the food, everything was excellent. Nikki and her staff of occupational and physical therapists are amazing. I dreaded PT, but they worked with me and had me released to go home much sooner than I ever expected. The Anderson exceeded my expectations in every way possible.

Positive experience: Therapists are wonderful. My husband had been there 2 years ago for therapy and that prompted me to choose the Anderson for rehab. Nickie and her staff are excellent therapists. The nurses, especially Arpita, were pleasant and attentive. The nurse aides were cheerful and helpful. The very best aide, and employee, is Stephanie Green. She was on top of all my needs and preferences, constantly thoughtful and kind. She deserves recognition for the loving way in which she does her job. The facility is era 1998 and could really use updating. The patient is not able to access the lights on her own; outlets were few and far between; bathroom could use more shelves to accommodate patient’s needs. I had urinary problems and got a UTI and had to be taken to hospital by 911 because of constant straight line cathetering as ultrasound machine for measuring bladder retention was not working for over 2 weeks and seemed like there was no rush to fix or replace it. Food was okay. Some excellent meals, like taco dinner and beef tips, were served one time each in my 3 weeks there. Bacon and eggs were very good. Fish sticks were terrible. If you didn’t want the meal to be served, you needed to call the kitchen and ask for a substitute. Lots of ham items which I can not eat because of salt content. The big inconvenience was that you had to call the kitchen at 6 am to order a different breakfast. Many times the substitute order was not complete. Putting in paper substitute meal request sheets did not work. So I had to make sure I stayed awake at 6 am to periodically request a non salty breakfast. I had asked for bananas 6 times and got one once. Overall, there were inconveniences but I needed good therapy and that’s why I chose the Anderson.

Positive experience: My mom moved in October. So far I have been happy with care. They seem to be fully staffed. They are always very caring to my mom.

Fantastic experience: This place has taken care of my dad, who is hanging on, very well. The staff are very helpful and take very good care of my Dad. Genuinely nice and caring people and my family appreciates everything that they do.

Fantastic experience: When I was brought to The Anderson, I didn’t know where I was or why I was there. It turned out to be one of the most beneficial experiences of my life. I had been hospitalized for quite a while and remember very little of that time. However, because of my weakness and a fracture in my leg, The Anderson was recommended. As I improved, I began to appreciate many things about my surroundings. First, the staff was outstanding. They treated you with friendliness and professionalism. I met some wonderful people during meals with whom I could carry on interesting conversations. The Anderson also offers a variety of activities from musical events to religious services, movie night, card games and more. People come to The Anderson for a variety of reasons: strokes, car accidents, and a variety of medical issues that would be difficult to deal with at home. There is also a nursing care section for people needing long-term care. The surroundings are lovely, with a pleasant fenced-in backyard area which many residents like to enjoy in good weather. While I was glad to return home, what I missed most was the positive interaction with the people – both staff and residents. This is truly a facility that helps you heal on many levels. Several weeks later, I began developing arthritis from my extended time in bed. When the condition worsened my doctor recommended physical therapy and said I could go wherever I wanted that was appropriately licensed. I immediately decided on The Anderson because the physical therapy facility there had been my favorite place to go. I was surprised when I went back how many of the staff remembered and greeted me by name. I learned that anyone can participate in outpatient therapy sessions there if they have a prescription from their doctor outlining the necessary treatment. During the past couple of months I have received customized exercises under the skillful eye of their trainers, as well as exercises to do at home. I have watched these specialists encourage those they are working with, regardless of the severity of their needs, while cheering them on when they make incremental progress. And it’s amazing the progress people make after each session! I have seen over and over that The Anderson is a beneficial experience for all those who take advantage of their services.

Fantastic experience: My grandmother stayed in this facility for the last part of her days. She absoulty loved it, she had her friends and her bingo nights. She loved the freedom this home gave her vs others and the help was always super kind to her & our family when we would visit. I couldnt be more thankful for caring for my grandmother the way you did.
