Athletico Physical Therapy - Greenwood

Fantastic experience: I had been experiencing numbness in my wrist and hand for 6+ months. My symptoms were so bad that I often could not feel my hand while using my mouse for work. I believed that surgery was my only viable option for relief, so I delayed treatment for quite a while. I was told by a family member that I could go see Grace for OT without a referral from my doctor. I truly did not want surgery, so I decided to give it a try, even though I was a bit skeptical. Grace was absolutely wonderful. She has a bubbly personality, answered all of my questions, and was quick to develop a plan that worked for me. She made me a splint and I was AMAZED at how quickly my symptoms resolved. I couldn’t be more thankful for her expertise in her field and her assistance with getting me back to doing all the things I love most.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been in physical therapy for years, in Los Angeles and here in Greenwood. Heather Fluts is by far the best physical therapist I've worked with. I was giving up hope but in a few months my body is starting to work again. I’m so grateful.

Fantastic experience: I've been going here for about a month for occupational therapy for my carpal tunnel. Grace is an exceptional therapist. She provides a very individualized plan that has been beneficial for my road to recovery. My pain has decreased significantly after doing the exercises provided. I highly recommend seeing Grace as she is a great listener, super knowledgeable and overall delightful!

Fantastic experience: Grace Pence was very instrumental in my shoulder rehab. She returned my full range of motion to my right shoulder. Grace is very knowledgeable and shared ideas with me on how to continue rehab at home as well as how to avoid re-injuring my shoulder in the future. The entire staff is friendly and flexible with scheduling as well. Thank You!

Fantastic experience: Just had my second dry needling session with Dr. Heather. I felt compelled to write a review as the results have been amazing after the first session and hoping for the same again. I have had such debilitating double knee pain that it has changed my life negativity for the past years. No options but a double knee replacement. A friend has a friend out of state that had terrible knee pain and did this and his pain immediatly lessened. I searched for someone locally who was qualified and by luck was blessed with Dr Heather at Athletico Physical Therapy. I was apprehensive but she was so knowledgeable, I just felt confident. The procedure was not comfortable, but bearable. She is quick and concise and I experienced a minimum of 25% less pain after the first session. I was about 35% more productive and my increase in mobility after 3 days was astounding. This has given me such hope that I can attain complete healing and put a giant HOLD on surgery!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had Grace Pence as my occupational therapist for the past 5 weeks and she has been amazing in helping me recover from surgery and progress towards returning to work. I would recommend her ten times out of ten to anyone who has surgery. She is very knowledgeable and does an exceptional job at using her knowledge to explain why certain things will help your progress more in either the short term or long term. She goes above and beyond to make everyone’s experience as enjoyable as possible while making a good recovery.

Fantastic experience: I came to Athletico for reoccurring knee pain and I was met with nothing but kindness and laughter. All of the staff are able to joke around and have fun, but also stay professional with their work. I especially love Anna, Jay, Heather, and Courtney as they have been the ones working with me. The atmosphere of the place feels like family, and having been there for over a month, they have made me feel a part of it. I highly highly recommend Athletico if you’re in need of physical therapy but also if you just need some laughs or a conversation.

Fantastic experience: I love this place, Heather is my angel. Samantha is the friendly face I get greater by. Melissa, Sara Elise, and Anna are also the sweetest people. Jamie and Courtney along with Amelia, Amber,, Carley and Grace are very helpful and cheerful.

Fantastic experience: I've been going here for the past 8 months for multiple, complex joint and tendon issues and post-surgery rehab. My case is not an easy one and is quite labor-intensive, but Sara-Elise always gives her all. She tailors my sessions to exactly how I am feeling that day as my problem areas often vary due to falls or exacerbating activities. I missed 1.5 weeks for vacation and was in agony and it was such a relief to go in today! All the staff are very courteous and friendly as well and I like the relaxed "family" atmosphere at this location; it doesn't feel like a dry and clinical place.

Fantastic experience: Heather is an amazing PT. She is very professional, personal and has the best personality. I couldn’t ask for a better person to take care of my PT needs. Also, she always has the best jokes!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I am starting my last week of therapy for my knee for a non surgery related problem. I feel good about the friendly yet compassinate and professional care I received from all the therapists. I have made significant progress and I am grateful for all that I have accomplished. Fantastic experience: Great experience and therapists. Grace is very patient and thorough as she helps with occupational therapy for a fractured wrist. Heather is the best, too! I came to Athletico because of previous PT with Heather.

Fantastic experience: Love the staff and atmosphere. Maggie and Sara Elise were very knowledgable. Videos are provided to demonstrate exercises. They made PT a little more bearable and I will definitely go back to this location. Thank you Athletico Greenwood!

Fantastic experience: I had surgery to remove part of a torn meniscus in early fall. Melissa (physical therapist) primarily helped me through the recovery and did a fantastic job. She was excellent with her communication, goals for my recovery, and formulating an exercise plan to help with my progress. I was back cycling in no time. Once I was far enough along in my recovery to feel confident in my movement, I went back under the knife for a torn bicep tendon. The recovery from this surgery was much tougher for me. I had met Grace (Occupational Therapist) prior to my surgery. She offered to meet with me and my physician at the first post-op appointment so that we were all on the same page. She didn't have to do this but Grace, along with the rest of the Athletico staff, show an amazing amount of care and compassion for their clients/patients. Grace gave me the time and the attention I needed to get my progress going. Things weren’t looking great after the first month but Grace helped me keep on track and pushed me mentally and physically to get over the hurdles in my recovery. Today, I graduated from my Athletico care journey. I would highly recommend Grace and Melissa to any patient needing assistance. Melissa has a busy schedule now but there are other fantastic physical therapists at this location. Athletico in Greenwood is an amazing team that works well together. You will be in good hands by going with Heather, Anna, Jay, or Sara-Elise. They have a number of college students that assist with therapy and they are excellent as well. Jamie assisted with my therapists a lot but the others are equally as good. Samantha is who you will probably talk to on the phone and see when you first walk in the door. She is welcoming and helpful. She does a great job scheduling appointments that work for you and coordinating the communication between physicians and therapists. Five stars is not enough. Recovering from two surgeries back to back is tough but the Athletico staff kept me mentally positive and physically on track.

Fantastic experience: The experience I had was awesome. I came in with almost no mobility or range of motion in my shoulder and Maggie and Sara Elise were fantastic. They worked with me to regain use of my shoulder. I have mobility and can do things I didn’t think I’d be able to do again. I highly recommend this facility and specifically Sara Elise and Maggie.

Fantastic experience: ATHLETICO at County Line Rd. & Emerson Ave. In Greenwood is Amazing! The Staff is So Kind and Caring! Maggie Stratton is Fantastic! She really puts her heart in her job! From day #1 all the way up to my last visit, I felt like Family! The whole staff greets you by name as soon as you walk in the front door! I will Always choose ATHLETICO for my PT needs! I will also encourage anyone who needs PT to come here as well! A+ in My Book!!!

Fantastic experience: Great experience! I went in for lower back pain that had developed from heavy lifting and a little age. Heather Fultz was instrumental in getting me back on track with my treatments and exercise. I also want to give Sara Drimi many thanks for her assistance as well. The technicians - Carli and others helped keep my exercises on track. Relaxed but professional atmosphere. Special shout out to Samantha at the front desk who was kind and helpful with scheduling my appointments. You won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I came in with a frozen shoulder & could barely sleep or dress without lots of pain. My range of motion has improved immensely and pain is far less every day. Heather and Courtney have been great. They explain everything and keep the atmosphere fun. Heather listens to how I’m feeling and adjusts my home program accordingly to keep my progress moving forward.

Fantastic experience: This location is phenomenal! The ladies were fantastic from day one. I had surgery after tearing my labrum, and bicep. After spending 12 weeks of being held to zero movement, I had pretty bad lack of mobility. The ladies went to work trying to free me up immediately. Samantha at the front desk was nothing but friendly, inviting, and helpful with scheduling, and always with a smile! Melissa the clinic manager never had to work behind anyone to maintain motivation, or work ethic. Just shows that she is doing a fantastic job leading by example with her staff. Heather was in charge of me, and she was absolutely wonderful! Very caring, very informative, and did everything she could above and beyond what she needed to, to help me meet my goals. She was awesome, and a great benefit to the patients, and the company she works for! Sara Elise was another fantastic lady that helped me in any other way that was needed. She truly is an added benefit to the patients here, as she’s able to do the really deep muscle releases that we may need. I didn’t really work much with Anna and Grace, but the little I did, I enjoyed. They were always friendly, always saying hello or goodbye, and always there if I needed help! Some of the most looked over were the aids. I’ve never been to any company that had aids that were so friendly, outgoing, resourceful, and did everything they could for not only the therapists, but for the patients like myself! Carly was always pleasant, and great to talk with! Amelia always had a great sense of humor, and seemed to really want to help! Courtney also was always great to speak with, great attitude, and sense of humor! Jaime and Amber were great also! I didn’t work with them much, but they were always incredibly friendly, more than willing to help, and cared about their job! Never had a day where they didn’t say hello, ask how I was, or wished me the best at the end of the day. In all, this location was fantastic! Everyone is so friendly, and really seem to care about the patients that come in! One thing that means a lot to me is being greeted by name, and every single lady there did that from day one! Upper management really need to give these ladies some praise. They are all absolute assets to the company! Thank you all for the caring nature that you all show your patients! Sometimes that friendly face, that smile, or even that caring nature you provide is exactly what a person needs to get through that day when we are trying to get over whatever we are there for. You guys definitely were that saving grace on a few days I was in a slump with my recovery! I thank you for that!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Athletico for a elbow injury and could not be happier with my progress. Grace has been a wonderful OT. She explains things well and is truly involved in my progress. Grace sent home exercise programs that has helped in my improvement. Grace also is very personable and friendly which makes my visit enjoyable. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing OT!

Fantastic experience: I have a TPF and was ordered PT from my ortho physician. The staff is friendly and well knowledged. Coming in as a first time therapy patient, I was hesitant and they made me feel welcome. The staff are alot of fun to work with. I have Anna and Jamie most of the time, they have made my therapy fun while teaching me how to strengthen my knee and back. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing physical therapy. I actually look forward to my therapy sessions. My therapy is almost finished, and I will miss everyone at Athletico.

Fantastic experience: This office has been absolutely incredible. Through some circumstances I've worked with every one of the PTs during my recovery so I can say every single person on this staff is amazing. I would 100% recommend this office to anyone having any type of pain or discomfort from an injury and will always go here in the future. Amazing staff and amazing results.

Fantastic experience: After living with severe pain for more than a year when I finally went for therapy I had no idea what to expect. But “Oh! Boy” was I pleasantly surprised! In just a couple of months I am off my pain medication and feeling much much better, thanks to the amazing people who work here, professional, caring, funny and extremely good at what they do! Special shoutout to my Therapists Melissa, Sarah-Lee, Ann & the technicians Courtney and Jamie. Thank you so much guys!

Fantastic experience: Anna has been awesome in all my sessions to help me get to my greatest experience. Especially helping get my left arm rehabilitated. Back it's normal state. If anyone wants to need help with Physical Therapy they need to come here. You will get the help you need with a great atmosphere!

Fantastic experience: This facility is very clean, well equipped, and conveniently located. The staff is very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, honestly answer questions, and are able to work within your scheduling needs. Heather is the best PT therapist I have ever had and both Courtney & Jaime provide excellent assistance with whatever I need. I highly recommend this facility to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Melissa Stocker was absolutely amazing! She helped get my son realigned causing him to set a personal record in the 200m dash for summer track. She’s very knowledgeable and will go above and beyond to get you back to where you want to be physically. I recommend this location to anyone who need PT!

Fantastic experience: To say that Melissa, Heather & Amelia have helped me in my recovery would be an understatement. There just aren’t enough words to express my gratitude to the entire staff. I was born with Spina Bifida and at 43 years old and 49 surgeries, I’m still on my feet. They never took it easy on me because of my disability or let me slack off when I was having a rough day. Instead, they listened to my concerns, adjusted the treatment plan for the day accordingly and cheered me on as I did the hard work. It’s not enough to help a patient out physically when recovery emotions can play such a huge part in your overall recovery plan. This staff meets every need of their patients and offers convenient times, easy scheduling (Thank you Samantha & Heather) and a staff that truly cares about your successful healing. Thank you for the bottom of my heart.

Fantastic experience: My favorite person……Heather Fults! She’s wonderful and funny . I absolutely adore her. She makes my shoulder feel better, she is up beat and has the most beautiful personality! I wouldn’t trade her for nothing.

Fantastic experience: I really love everyone at Athletico Greenwood they really helped me with my ACL journey. The people who helped me get back to rare form were ANNA, Heather and Jamie. Those 3 really pushed me to get me back healthy.

Fantastic experience: Heather Fults is an outstanding practitioner. She is communicative as well as very knowledgeable about her life’s work. I have learned a great deal about how my body works as it relates to pain. The facility is very well organized and clean. The atmosphere is very positive and uplifting. From the receptionist Sam to Heather the Physical therapist, just an excellent experience!

Fantastic experience: I am so impressed with the care I received from Heather, Maggie, Sara-Elise, Robbie, Carly and Jacob. With their assistance and guidance I was able to significantly improve within a relatively short period of time. I believe the dry needling perforned by Heather and the TMD therapy performed by Maggie and Sara-Elise was a key component in getting my pain under control. The entire team was wonderful and I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: If I could give more than 5 stars I would for the Greenwood location. The first great impression started with the phone call with Samantha to get my first appointment. She was always helpful with all my scheduling. The entire atmosphere is everyone is always ready to greet you with a smile, friendly and helps one another out. I have never seen such great teamwork!!!! My PT was Heather she went above and beyond with her compassion and always making sure I was doing the best to my full potential. My OT was Blake which he is outstanding as well. Making me feel comfortable and got me right to work getting me better. I’ll miss talking to everyone there. So glad this is the place I went to for getting my flexibility and strength back. Thanks to everyone!

Fantastic experience: My back shoulder and foot PT at Athletico Greenwood has been a great experience. They are a great team of PTs that work extremely well together. All seem knowledgeable well-trained pleasant and caring. My Number 1PT Heather all of the above plus very experienced. I resisted her instructions at first because I wanted to skip ahead. I quickly found out she was right and is at least 99.9% of the time. (I tell her she is right more of the time than my wife. We have fun while working). I give them and Melissa (one the the other seasoned PTs who coordinates things at times) and especially Heather my highest rating of 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: I want to give a big shout out to Katrina Polikoff for helping me over the last month. I was having some serious issues with my left foot and she set me up with a program that really worked! I came in at about a 7-8 pain level and left with 0! Plus she gave me some great exercises to do at home to keep it up! If you ever need help with any kind of PT I HIGHLY recommend Athletico. The staff is super awesome, friendly, and really know what they're doing! Again, big thank you Katrina for getting me back on my feet :)

Fantastic experience: Since day one I felt like home. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. Melissa is hands down amazing, outdoing herself making sure I healed properly. When Melissa was not in Bob helped and I will miss his roller massages. He thought me so much! Overall; I highly recommend this location I feel great and learned so much during my time there.

Fantastic experience: I appreciate every single person at Athletico Greenwood. All of the therapists are very knowledgeable. I really appreciate Melissa and Michael for their expertise. They both offer different perspectives and it was exactly what I needed for my TMJD. They gave me the tools and exercises I need to help manage my chronic pain. Everyone is also soo personable and I felt like a close friends and family seeing them a couple of times a week. I have already recommended them to anyone I know that needs physical therapy. Fantastic experience: Melissa, Maggie, and Sara E were awesome! I could never get a straight answer from a doctor and they helped me straight away! No more headaches, ear pain, or jaw pain thanks to them! They’re also the nicest and welcoming group of people! 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: Melissa helped me greatly after I suffered a neck injury in a serious car accident. Her kindness and expertise helped me make progress not only on recovery For that injury, but also on some issues I had pre-accident. All of the techs who assisted were professional and friendly as well. I would highly recommend the staff at Athletico!

Fantastic experience: Where do I begin... when I walked into Athletico I was defeated and afraid that I would never get back to the physical level I was before the car accident. I had tingling and numbness throughout my arm so bad that I could barely use the touch screen to complete the survey on the first day. Michael and Colby are amazing! I would recommend this place to any family member and any friend. They were always so accommodating and understanding of my work schedule and having to change appointments last minute. This is a great place with great staff who truly care about you as an individual.

Fantastic experience: I messed up my shoulder. Victoria help me restrengthen my shoulder. She is so nice and really wants you to succeed. The facility was clean and they followed all COVID-19 guidelines. I am so thankful for Victoria for my awesome recovery. I love how the staff helps each other. Jasmine was always so helpful too! I only met Sami once, but she was very nice.

Fantastic experience: My Dr. recommended this facility for my issues & I was so impressed with the thoroughness of my assessment! Melissa did an alignment on me & after doing some suggested changes that were very simple, they made a huge difference! Now I have to maintain with some stretching exercises that I know will help! Fantastic experience: Everyone here was so great, from the front desk staff to all of the therapists. I can't say enough good things about Maggie, a student, and her mentor Melissa. Maggie was in charge of my treatment plan and worked a near-miracle on both of my issues, relieving nerve pain in one arm and getting mobility back in the other. I also had a few sessions with Colby who was great as well. They even helped me make sure my work station is set up ergonomically to prevent the nerve issue from returning. I highly recommend Athletico.

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting for about half an year and really liked here. The therapist are friendly and professional. They do their best to come up with excersices that can potentially help out and creates challenging menu for me upon my every visit. I feel with the excersices prescribed, I am able to get better with my prolonged back pain problem. The needling here are helpful as well. Unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover the needling part, but even with self pay the cost is reasonable.

Fantastic experience: I was skeptical about therapy helping my vertigo. Melissa changed my mind. From the first visit I was in awe of her knowledge. She explained each step we were taking in language I could understand. I tell everyone I know about how great she is. Maggie her intern was friendly and very helpful too. My only real interaction with the rest of the staff was Jill at the front desk. She was always courteous and friendly. I would recommend Athletico to anyone. I'm a believer. And oh yes, my vertigo is no longer a problem.

Fantastic experience: Bravo! I went to Athletico after a work injury. Anyone who's been through workers comp, knows its stressful. These folks were shining stars during the whole process. Jill at the front desk is friendly and knows people by name. She's super helpful with scheduling, paperwork and the bumps along the way. The occupational therapists, Austin and Blake were professional, knowledgeable and approachable. Both open to questions about how to regain my strength and more than happy to offer solutions. Im so very pleased with the staff there. I'd give more stars if I could. Thank you so much guys! I cant thank you enough.

Fantastic experience: Wow, not sure where yo start...They have helped me so much and gotten me through several surgeries and issues. I have worked with several of their PTs and they are all amazing. While Chris in Geist (she used to come to Greenwood some), Melissa and Colby are the ones I have the most experience with, I doubt you would find anyone there that would disappoint. Even the PT aides and front desk staff are superstars! They not only treat the issue but teach you how to maintain it and your body which isn't always easy but it's the best option! Love them!!!!

Fantastic experience: I've been to many different physical therapy establishments over the years, but I was usually less than impressed with the care I received. Not any more--Athletico in Greenwood is far superior in their care and concern for the patient, with excellent rehabilitation results. They have helped me recuperate and strengthen both knees after total knee replacements in 2015-16 and now for post-surgery Rotator Cuff tears. The manager, Melissa, has created a calm, soothing atmosphere for recovery and care and she is also a superb PT!). The entire staff there is friendly, helpful and caring, from Jill at the front desk and including all of the techs and assistants--everyone is helpful and friendly. Michael Schaumberg, PT is currently treating my shoulder following surgery. He is exceptional--caring, gentle, yet challenging, and encouraging. My therapy is going very smoothly and with great results; Special thanks also to Colby, APT--excellent care! This is the ONLY place I go for any kind of Physical Therapy! I strongly recommend Athletico in Greenwood!

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for well-trained and a very professional staff, I highly recommend Athletico Physical Therapy. I feel like a new person thanks to Melissa and Colby and their assistants. The thing that wowed me was the very individualized treatment plan for all their clients. The back pain radiating from my spine is under control and I feel much stronger. I'm able to sit and stand for longer periods of time and move around with more agility. Thank you Athletico for a job well done!

Fantastic experience: Great experience from the entire staff. Jill is awesome! She is always willing to help! The staff helped me stretch and ensure I was doing my therapy correctly. Mary, Brent, Allison, and Alex are fabulous! I love that every visit was a tailored plan for my needs. Melissa and Colby were great at evaluating me and providing on demand therapy. Each visit, they evaluated me and changed my therapy to help me deal with whatever symptoms I was experiencing at the time with the ultimate goal of recovery from my surgery. They were very aware of how I was feeling and cautious at the same time. I will say that it was a workout! They challenged me and encouraged me to progress my therapy. I feel they have given me the exercises to continue my therapy at home to continue my progression. Highly recommended!
