Athletico Physical Therapy - Arlington Heights

Fantastic experience: My experience at Athletico was much more than I expected; in fact, I looked forward to going. Mayra, at the front desk, is very knowledgeable and was always cheerful and welcoming. My O.T., Karin Klein, was superb - professionally, personality, conversationally, etc. Gina Hurlburt, the O.T. that filled in for Karin, when she was not available, was also top-notch in all respects. I give Arlington Heights Athletico a big 10 and highly recommend it

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here for my first time in physical therapy! I had persistent back pain and was putting off treatment for various reasons. I would not hesitate to go back in the future if anything else came up now! The front desk staff were super friendly and worked with my busy schedule. I had the opportunity to work with several physical therapists here and they were all great, but I would highly recommend booking with Angela. Angela was great at listening to me about my symptoms, explaining the exercises, always made sure I was comfortable, and helped me with ways to prevent future injuries. When it came time to wrap up treatment I was honestly bummed! I truly looked forward to going to my appointments! I can’t recommend Angela and the Arlington Heights location enough!

Fantastic experience: Getting physical therapy at Athletico was one of the best things I did this year. Would recommend therapist Kelly Hayes to anyone. Not only an expert in PT, but she was able to integrate dry needling to help with knee pain. Can't stress enough well she listened, built a holistic plan and taught me the importance of continual stretching after completing our sessions.

Fantastic experience: Karin Klein has to be the most talented hand therapist ever. I have had numerous hand surgeries and shoulder issues. I can always count on Karin to make me feel better. She is a wealth of knowledge and skill! Karin not only does therapy but explains everything and provides activity suggestions for home!

Fantastic experience: I am a patient at Atheltico in Arlington Heights and I have nothing but positive things to say about this location. I have been with multiple great therapists such as Silvia, Damien, Angela and Brook. They all are very knowledgeable and really helped me throughout my recovery. On top of that, Mayra the PEC is very kind and can answer any questions that you have. I would recommend coming here for all of your physical therapy needs!

Fantastic experience: Sylvia is amazing! I have gone to her for multiple concerns and she has eliminated my migraines and stopped the pain in my neck/shoulder and arm! She is thorough, kind and always listens to my concerns.

Fantastic experience: My PT Angela Bartsch, was very compassionate, gentle and through and knew exactly what to do to alleviate the pain in my pulled hamstring. From the Clinic Manager, to the whole staff I always felt that everyone there was there to help me in any way they could. I highly recommend Athletico PT - Arlington Heights. You will not be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had physical therapy at Athletico several times over the years. This location is convenient, there’s always plenty of parking and all the staff are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. This trip has been for an osteoarthritis knee issue. I’ve been working with Angela and can’t speak highly enough of my experience. She not only worked on strengthening the supporting knee muscles but also worked on the same leg ankle which I had broken almost four years earlier and was still tight. She explained the exercises thoroughly, helping me understand how the muscles work together to function properly. I’m back to walking several miles at a stretch, pain free, my goal. I have one more session and know if I develop any issues I can come back and will receive excellent help.

I worked with Angela, and she was wonderful - incredibly focused on providing me with exercises that reduced my pain and easily adapting exercises when they didn’t do so. Fantastic experience: I did rehab at the Arlington Heights Athletico location both before and after a shoulder surgery this past year. I have nothing but good things to say about the experience. I worked with a number of trainers there - I saw Damian the most often but also had sessions with Megan, Sylvia, Brooke, Kelly, and Saul. They were all fantastic. All of the people who work there - trainers, associates, front office staff - are super friendly. I will legitimately miss going there to talk to everyone. Most importantly...my shoulder feels the best it has in more than a decade. My surgeon is responsible for a lot of that, but I credit the team at the AH location for their work and their practical, easy-to-implement advice about at-home exercises. Big thanks to Damian and everyone there for their help!

Fantastic experience: ​I had a wonderful experience at Athletico! Michelle, the physical therapist who was assigned to me, is terrific! She is knowledgeable and genuinely cares about helping her patients. Michelle is also full of life and personable, and as a result, I looked forward to my sessions with her! Mayra, one of the receptionists, is so welcoming and professional, and she always did her best to schedule my sessions around my busy schedule. Moreover, she was more than willing to contact our insurance to inquire about coverage, which saved me time. I appreciate the fact that Athletico is clean and that the staff sanitizes the therapy tables after each use. This location has nice views with a lot of natural light filtering through. I highly recommend Athletico to anyone who is in need of physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: I did 6 weeks OT post elbow surgery with one of the best Occupational Therapists in AH. Gina was very knowledgeable and always made sure I was not experiencing any pain. I told her what my end goal was and she was able to get me there!! Mayra at the front desk was super pleasant and always made me feel welcome. If I ever need PT or OT services in the future, I will definitely come back here!! I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: when I came to athletico in august of 2022, I had a fractured patella and torn ligament. I couldn’t walk. I was set to be married in October of 2022, and unsure if I’d be able to walk down the aisle. I met twice weekly with Brooke, who is just one of the loveliest humans alive. She helped me be able to walk… up and down stairs, balance, gain strength in my legs and thighs, and, most importantly, walk down the aisle to my husband. I’ll never forget her kindness and gentleness. She is too good. I can’t believe how much better I am. I’ve had knee problems since pre-puberty and my legs are so much stronger. Now I’m pregnant with twins and I am so thankful that I can walk, support myself, balance well, and not worry about my knee giving out. They care so much here.

Fantastic experience: I have been receiving therapy at this location for a while now and I couldn’t have asked for a better care team. Meghan is an amazing therapist and she has helped me recover from my injury quite a bit. I am also very happy with all the other staff as they’re very warm and super helpful, especially Kiara who went above and beyond to help me. I would definitely recommend their clinic if you are seeking physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: I recently completed working with Jamie. Jamie was knowledgeable and helpful during all the sessions. She helped me with my knee, SI joint pain combined with women's health issues. She was efficient during each session and ensured I had the right exercises available to me at home to work on between sessions. She listened to all my concerns and made sure to address them. I would highly recommend working with Jamie.

Fantastic experience: Very welcoming on intake and easy to setup appointments. My therapist Damian is a shoulder expert. He was about to increase my range of motion and significantly reduced my pain. Great results.

Fantastic experience: My daughter will be finishing up 3 months of training. The desk staff is great Keyaira always made me feel like I am at home and was always helpful. The Physical Therapist that Jade and I had the pleasure of working with Megan and Brook were awesome. Gave great tips for at home when we were not at the office. They made Jade feel comfortable working out and talking to them. If I was asked if I would recommend them to a friend it would be a 10 out of 5. Thanks for your help and kindness!!!

Fantastic experience: All the staff is great. You really feel at home. I think that everyone is awesome especially Saul, Damian, Sylvia, and Maya. I’ve have been coming awhile now and I highly recommend this Athletico in Arlington Heights. I definitely will refer anyone who needs therapy needs.

Fantastic experience: If I could give Athletico 10 stars I would!!! Karin Klein & Michelle Bero are the best OT & PT respectively. Karin is extremely knowledgeable and explains every aspect of treatment. She saved the use of my left hand after a botched IV left me with CRPS. Michelle has the touch of an Angel, explains why and how things happen and has worked wonders with my surgical scars after a bilateral mastectomy. Both women have the patience of saints in answering all my questions and working with me through my recovery I also want to give a shout-out to the reception staff especially Mayra Vazquez who works wonders with juggling my PT & OT schedules and always greets me by name with a smile I highly recommend Athletico in Arlington Heights

Fantastic experience: I like the staff in the front desk Kiera and Mayra. But the most part I liked is Karin Klein my Occupational Therapist. She is a very caring, friendly and very nice to talk to. I would highly recommend this .place for my friends

Fantastic experience: Just finished 3 months of PT Joe M. at Arlington Heights, Athletico. Joe was really great. He listened carefully to my problems, thoughtfully created a treatment plan and gave me a good home exercise program. The office staff was wonderful, also, finding a way to accommodate my difficult schedule. All in all, it was a great experience.

Fantastic experience: Joe Meier is an excellent PT. Very skilled at diagnosis, plus communicates very well. He's also patient and encouraging. My family has relied on his expertise for many knee and back injuries over the years. We feel lucky know such a competent PT and have the Athletico Arlington Heights nearby.

Fantastic experience: Came into Athletico after 6 weeks of a nagging shoulder spasm that wasn't healing fully after 6 weeks of other treatment. After the first couple appointments I was already feeling better. Nate was wonderful to work with and took the time to explain and evaluate the issue my shoulders were having. I left knowing a lot more about how to position my neck and shoulders while training to help prevent future spasms from occurring. All the staff from the front desk to the assistants were wonderful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I made an appointment for my mom at this location after some bad experiences with other non Athletico PTs. From my initial call to the consultation, we were met with nothing but kindness, empathy, and professionalism. I initially dealt with Patricia on the phone who went above and beyond to find out if my moms insurance covered the treatment and even followed up with me the next day and made sure I knew everything before coming in for the appointment. The initial consultation was with Dr. Silvia and she took all the time to get to know everything about my moms history and listened with so much patience and respect. Her advice and treatment plan was backed up by all the tests and exercises she had my mom do that day. She even managed to call my moms other doctors for test results/scans (this really amazed me as other doctors have never given this much effort and usually leave it up to the patient to provide) at the end, my mom was a bit tired and had some pain and Silvia ended the consultation with a targeted massage for some instant pain relief. She was truly amazing! The whole staff seems to actually care and all work so harmoniously that you notice it right when you walk in. My mom felt very assured and listened to and so she’s excited to see how it goes. Thank you to the whole staff for everything so far!

Fantastic experience: After a troublesome injury that took place over a year ago, I finally got treatment and saw excellent results right away. Every therapist is wonderful, attentive and a very fun crowd to be around. All the ladies at the front always made sure everyone was taken care of at all times. Not only an excellent place to be a patient but everyone makes this an extremely positive work environment as well.

Fantastic experience: We were so pleased with Silvia Toliopoulos, at Athletico. She was very caring and attentive to all our needs with my daughters knee problem. I highly recommend this facility and Silvia. I've referred friends, and we will definitely be back if we need therapy. Very clean facility and the front office staff was very friendly.

Fantastic experience: I started therapy for my shoulder at the Arl. Hts. Athletico with a recommendation from a colleague who told me that Beth Knight was the best therapist he had ever had for his shoulder problems. And within a month, my shoulder felt great and I was pain-free and could start to swim, which was my goal. This reinforced what my friend had said about Beth being such a great therapist. As my shoulder therapy was ending, I asked Beth if she could work on the bursitis in my hip that had been a problem for a few months, as well as a lower back problem that I'd had for the past 5 years. I have gone through therapy twice for extended periods of time with other therapists for my back and it has never helped the problem. Beth is the first therapist to really analyze my problem, give me so many different exercises to do there at PT as well as specific exercises to do now for maintenance at home, and most importantly, exercises to do that can control and get rid of the pain. Physical Therapists like Beth make a huge difference in people's quality of life! She worked so hard to find exercises that work for my problems, and I loved going to PT because it was never the same! Beth always had new exercises, so I could never be bored and if an exercise didn't work, she would change it up, make adaptations, etc. so you got the most benefit from her plan for the day. Beth's expertise changed my life and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work with someone who always went "ABOVE AND BEYOND" every single session! My experience at the Arl. Hts. Athletico was truly unforgettable!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this Athletico for a while now. Since starting there, I’ve gained agility, strength and better overall physical ability. They take the time to understand an injury or need and work on a plan to help a patient. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a qualified physical therapist. The staff at this location are awesome!

Fantastic experience: I was surprised by negative comments here, so I wanted to chime in with my positive experience. I went to Athletico in Arlington Heights for 3 separate injuries, and each time I left with full physical and functional recovery. One of the important aspect of physical rehab is the plan and execution of the therapy itself. This is close to impossible unless you are working with therapists who are experienced and who care about your progress. In my view, that is exactly what you get at this particular Athletico location! People here are superb in both their approach to treatment and their diligence at executing it. I can not say enough positive things about Brooke for example - pointed exercises and proper form while executing them worked great for my recovery. I would not agree with some reviewers about cleanliness of the place. I do see equipment wiped down regularly and place cleaned constantly. Some of the equipment is not the latest and greatest indeed, but I do not believe this contributes to the quality of care, after all, I went here to get better, not for a posh health club experience. All in all, this is a very good place to get back on track after injuries. I do hope I will not have to come back though :)

Fantastic experience: Over last 6 years, I’ve had 3 different shoulder injuries requiring PT from Athletico in AH. I come back because of the treatment I’ve received from Silvia and team. Each time we’ve been successful in reducing pain, gaining flexibility and getting me back to doing what I love. Silvia always listens intently to my concerns and develops treatment plans to help me reach my goals. She definitely cares and it’s apparent in her work. My experience with other therapists at this location has been similar. As such, I’m very confident that I’m receiving the best possible care.

Fantastic experience: Great facility - get Nate if you can. I had ACL reconstruction and planned to begin rehab at this facility before moving back downtown but I ended up staying in the suburbs due to the progress I saw with Nate and the productivity of the sessions. I am an athlete trying to get back to 100% and I could tell Nate has tons of experience with athletes and pushes you the necessary amount to make sure you are getting back to where you want to be. The rest of the staff is also great and very friendly to everyone. It is a good environment and they have a pretty large gym as well. I had to move to New York for work after 6 weeks of PT but I wish I could have stayed with Nate longer. I highly recommend him and this entire facility.

Fantastic experience: After catastrophic injury i chose this location on a friends recommendation. I could not be happier with that decision. First, it's in a great location with more than ample parking. (including handicap) The quality of care I receive from Michelle (primary) Brooke and Jamie has been the absolute best. You won't find a better facility if your looking for true professionals, a fresh/clean environment and friendly atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: I am so delighted with this facility and the care they have given my father. Michelle and the rest of her staff have gone above and beyond to give my father wonderful care. They have helped him to reduce his falls and were very patient with an often non compliant patient. They truly care about him and have helped improve his life and helped him to continue to get stronger so he can live on his own longer. I am very grateful for everyone here! This is an exceptional physical therapy clinic!

Fantastic experience: My orthopedic surgeon recommended Athletico to me after my hip replacement surgery. The Arlington Heights facility is closest to my home so I went there and could not be more pleased! I spent 3 months in therapy for the hip. Less than a year later I came back after a knee replacement for 6 months of therapy. I'm currently being treated for back pain. I'm 69 years old and my orthopedic problems started when I was 14. I have had physical therapy throughout my life at numerous facilities and none of them were as good as the Arlington Heights Athletico. Jamie has been my primary therapist and she's the best I have ever had in my life. She is very knowledgeable, conscientious, and compassionate. I've also been treated by Brooke, Sylvia and Beth and I can recommend all of them. I always feel treated like an individual and the therapy is constantly adjusted to best treat my pain level and issues at each session so I can make the most progress. The therapists really care about my improvement and nobody is just going through the motions. The front desk staff and the techs are all very friendly and professional. I look forward to going to physical therapy knowing that each session is worthwhile. I highly recommend the Arlington Heights Athletico.

Fantastic experience: I tore my ACL and went here for my PT. The staff could not have been friendlier or more professional. I got lucky enough to have Jamie as my PT. She knew when to push me when i needed to be pushed and also when do rest and let me recover. The process Jamie took with me has allowed me to fully recover and continue to be active in the sports i enjoy. I had a awesome experience and would highly recommend this location. Ask for Jamie!!!!

Fantastic experience: I started coming to Athletico after my ob recommended them for some back/hip/tailbone pain I was having with my second pregnancy. I honestly thought PT was a bit of an extreme answer at first, but I am so glad I decided to give it a shot. I’ve felt so much better since I started going in and it’s definitely not from my ever-growing baby bump. Jamie, the therapist I’ve worked with, is so knowledgeable, helpful, compassionate, and friendly. The entire staff has made me feel very comfortable and glad I chose this office.
