Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of working with Kara as my therapist recently. She has been my therapist a few other times as well. She is such a skilled physical therapist, very attentive and detail oriented. She always checks to make sure the current rehab doesn’t bother my old injuries. The staff is all very professional. Everyone is friendly and attentive to what is happening in the clinic. If you can see Kara for treatment you’re in good hands but I can confidently say any therapist and aide in there will do a wonderful job. Also Joy at the front desk is always cheerful and a delight to see as well. Thank you all for your healing work!!

Fantastic experience: My experience was incredible! I have been in physical therapy before at other places, and this location tops those others! Heather was great to work with, she pushes you to the next level to help with recovery. The communication from the front desk (JOY)! which included reminders, Apt. setups, etc. was the best customer service I have ever received at a medical institution. Props to the whole clinic!

Fantastic experience: Went in experiencing Neck and Back pain. The team worked with me through stretches and exercises to greatly allievate the pain. I would recommend to friends and family!

Fantastic experience: I was having dizzy spells and was not sure why as I just had knee replacement. It was narrowed down to vestibular and I needed therapy. There are not many pts in this area that have this specialty. I found Kara and bonus, 2 miles from my house. Kara worked with me to clear my "head" and continued to work on my balance and neck. Each session helped and taught me to keep working on my balance. Everyone at this facility was welcoming and I have to also mention Joy. She is so helpful and willing to go the extra mile. I highly recommend Kara!

Fantastic experience: Given my great experience at Athletico Mt. Prospect, I'm sure I'm just one of many who have as well. Heather and her staff are very professional and knowledgeable with a wide range of treatment experience. But most of all caring. They care enough to take the time to listen and assess to understand each patients unique needs, goals and progress throughout the treatment process. I was treated post surgery for a torn meniscus. I had been told, by other professionals in this area of expertise, it could take up to 3 months to complete therapy. I was done in in just under 2 months. Granted, I had to do my part, I had to put in the work to progress. There is no getting around the effort I had to put in. I would highly recommend Athletico Mt. Prospect.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Heather and her staff has been fantastic! This is the second time Heather has treated me. My first experience was about 7 years ago with post-surgery shoulder therapy. Due to that positive experience, I sought her out for therapy after knee replacement revision. Heather and her staff spent time to: • Correct poor exercise form and posture. • Achieve goals set at the beginning of treatment. • Answer any questions, including the reason for a particular exercise. • Ask about my progress. • Modify a target exercise to take into consideration other muscular/joint issues. • Add exercises that would help other muscle or joint problems. I found the individuals in this office to be friendly, considerate, and easy to talk with. In addition, members of the staff worked together to achieve a positive outcome. I would not hesitate to recommend Heather and her staff.

Fantastic experience: I have visited the Mt. Prospect clinic for several issues, with Kara Kinnear as my therapist each time. I couldn't be happier with her skills, knowledge, and understanding manner. For every issue Kara has provided treatment that resulted in complete recovery. Fantastic experience: I had a hip procedure in 2021 and the amazing therapists at the Mt. Prospect location were amazing at helping me get back to normal. Everyone I worked with there was phenomenal and have recommended them to my friends and family.

Fantastic experience: We have been seeing Kara K. at Athletico in Mt. Prospect for years!! She is seriously THE BEST!! For example, my daughter has been complaining of back/hip pain for over a year. We had seen 9 different doctors and I even took her to the Mayo Clinic. Mayo diagnosed my 14 year old with chronic pain even though a couple of tears showed up on her MRI. I was at my wits end and Kara suggested we see Dr. Domb at The American Hip Institute. We had more answers in that one week with Dr. Domb than we did in the past year. It turns out my daughter has a large labral tear and needs surgery. And Mayo wrote it off as chronic pain! Without Kara, we would still be stuck!! She was literally a lifesaver!! On top of her amazing knowledge, she is professional, happy, so nice and just make therapy a fun time. Her cohorts are also amazing! Laurenz, Christine and Francesca are also so wonderful to work with. We won’t go anywhere else for therapy! And you shouldn’t either!! Call them today!!

Fantastic experience: The Mount Prospect Athletico Physical Therapy is a wonderful environment to heal. I had a re-occuring back pain and found relief through treatment. I saw my therapist Kara for multiple weeks of therapy. Kara was my daughter's physical therapist and when I needed help I knew Kara was the right therapist to see. Her care and expertise was fantastic. I will gladly refer patients and friends to Kara. Thank you for all your help.

Fantastic experience: I love Kristina! She does such a great job on my right hamstring with dry needling. I have gone to her several times now and it has been so unbelievably helpful particularly because I am running a marathon in less than a month. Thank you so much Kristina!

Fantastic experience: I definitely recommend Athletico Mount Prospect. My PT, Kristina Wong, helped me over a period of 5 months. She and every other member of the staff were always friendly, professional and helpful. I started by looking for relief from debilitating pain. When I first came in was not able to walk upright, and needed help to get onto a treatment table. Kristina, Kara and several other staff were able to provide temporary relief. Eventually I required surgery and returned to Athletico to recover from that. They were able to work with me for several months so that by the end of my treatment I was able to ski. In fact, Kristina developed several exercises specifically designed to help a skier build the required muscles and balance. So from only being able to walk with pain, to finally being able to ski--I call that success. Kristina and all the other staff were a HUGE help and great support!

Fantastic experience: Kristina and the staff were great in helping me get through some pretty significant chronic back injuries. I am back participating in activities and feel confident in my ability to continue the prevention exercises so the pain doesn’t return!

Fantastic experience: It was a very positive experience The therapits were extremely knowledgeable and fully explained all my questions concerning the exercises and what each was intended to do. They were gentle in their approach and sensed when to stretch my endurance I have had two knee surgeries years apart with rehad at two different companies. While my results were the same Athletico was faster and gentler. I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of using this facility. I saw my therapist Kristina for 12 weeks of therapy. I had undergone a total hip reconstruction (not replacement) in January 2022. The care and expertise that I experienced was phenomenal. Kristina is both caring and well versed in her craft. As both a healthcare provider and consumer I will gladly refer patients and friends to both Kristina and her partner Kara. Thank you for all your help.

Fantastic experience: The absolute BEST. This is my third stint (all due to separate injuries) and different body parts involved. Not only are they effective--miracle workers if you ask me; they also have a great work environment and work cooperatively for the patient. Fantastic experience: Thank you, thank you, thank you Kara! I have rejoined the world! This was my second experience with Kara and Athletico and it exceeded my expectations. I came in limping, off balance and in pain. I left not only walking, standing tall and balanced, but pain free. Eternal gratitude. As a former public health nurse, I sincerely appreciated the extra effort to maintain a spotless, extra clean facility. Also wanted to mention the friendly, welcoming staff with each visit-from the front desk to the other therapists, trainers and assistants.

Fantastic experience: I went to Athletico when I hadn't recovered sufficiently after meniscus surgery eight months ago. Kristina Wong reviewed my situation and developed a knee strengthening and flexibility program for me. After only five sessions I felt must stronger and was able to climb stairs easier and walk much faster. The slight pain I experienced is also gone.

Fantastic experience: The treatment I have received at Athletico, and specifically from Kara Kinnear, was first rate. This was my 2nd experience over the past 3 years, after 2 back surgeries. and cancer surgery. In both cases, Kara proved to be a highly professional and knowledgeable therapist, who carefully crafted my program of exercises and activities to be accomplished for each session, as well as exercises I could continue to do at home. Kara, and the entire staff, were always friendly, personable, and sensitive to the occasions when I was in particular pain and required an adjustment to the normal treatment regime. And the results exceeded my expectations. I'm now ready to keep pace with my 6 grandkids! It's so good to know that we have such a great resource for PT when necessary, and so close to home. Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about this practice. Even as a person who generally experiences medical anxiety, I have always felt at ease here. Every member of the staff is kind and encouraging, and the overall positive vibe they have created is pretty amazing. Kara is an encouraging and highly knowledgeable therapist, answering my many, many questions with fluency and supporting the entire recovery process as I’ve navigated specialists and procedures. I count myself lucky to have called this place first when referred to PT by my doctor.

Fantastic experience: This is a great facility. Heather, the manager, was my PT and her comprehensive and detailed approach to my rehab was very effective. My exercises were consistently progressed, both during treatment and for home, yielding very good results! My low back pain and sciatica are much improved and I graduated with the tools I need to continue getting even stronger. The facility is very clean, the staff is friendly, and the results were excellent. I would not hesitate to return for any other PT needs. If you are trying to choose a PT place, look no further. Fantastic experience: Had a great experience at the Mt. Prospect Athletico. Everyone was very easy to interact with, but I ESPECIALLY felt that my therapist, Kristina Wong was VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE & knew exactly how to treat my injury to get me back to feeling even better than when I started therapy. She also knew how to shift exercises around when I needed to work on other areas that needed attention. She really knows her stuff!

Fantastic experience: I began my first session on Monday with this location. I was nervous as I had never done any kind of PT before. The receptionist April was so kind and inviting and immediately put me at ease. Shortly after I was greeted by the Physical Therapist Kristina. She was exceptional. Extremely caring and attentive while ensuring all your needs and expectations are exceeded. Everyone at this location deserves a raise and if I was the store manager I would get them each a monthly gift because they excel at each of their jobs. Best Wishes

Fantastic experience: Best physical therapy experience I've had. Kara kinnear is great. I come to her anytime I have an injury that requires physical therapy. She also does pediatric PT. My newborn son had Torticollis, and within a few weeks, she had his muscle tightness fixed. I've also seen several of the other PT's here and they are all very knowledgeable and friendly. They work with your schedule and take really good care of you. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had a very good experience here. My PT Kristina and supporting staff were very supportive and helpful as I went through my therapy sessions. I especially appreciated the consistent check-ins concerning my status at each session. As a result, I felt confident I was in good hands.

Fantastic experience: Caring and detail oriented. The entire staff took the time to listen and treated me as an individual, I was not just 'another patient' to them. Exercises to do at home were reasonable based upon what my capabilities were and alternatives were suggested given I don't have all the equipment at home. Level of intensity increased as I progressively got better. I would highly recommend this location and a special thank you to Heather for her expertise, time and guidance.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at this location a 4 or 5 times in the last 7 years. My PT has always been Kara, and her dedication to helping me safely heal and become stronger has never failed. Her approach is organized, focused and appropriate for the area of pain or recovery. She thoroughly assesses the situation both from the physician referral, as well as listening to her client and meeting them where they are. I cannot recommend Kara enough!

Fantastic experience: Kristina Wong is wonderful! I came in with pain in my right hip and leg.. The exercises that I did really helped. I no longer have the pain. She really took the time to find the right exercises. And even gave me a copy of the exercises to continue at home. Thank you so much Kristina! Fantastic experience: Athletico in Mount Prospect is a great facility with excellent staff. I worked with Ms. Kristina Wong, who was courteous, professional, and extremely effective in helping me with an injury. She took the time to explain the benefits of the exercises, offer feedback on how to best perform them, and most importantly, give practical tips on how to continue strengthening post-PT. The staff is excellent—very friendly and willing to help. The office was clean, the equipment working well, and the Athletico app was easy to understand. I’m glad that I went here, because I’m stronger than before I started. If I need PT in the future, Athletico in Mount Prospect would be my first choice. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Came here with an open mind as to a recent knee replacement. I got lucky and had a experienced therapist who knew her stuff. Gradually I improved walking, standing and stair climbing. I'm extremely happy with the results. Did not expect to be at this level. I am looking forward to having my other knee done and will be back for therapy here and hopefully with my master therapist Heather

Fantastic experience: I have been to different physical therapists in the last 40 years. But no one has even compared to Kristina! Now I am feeling so much better after therapy with Kristina. I know how to walk properly. My back is no longer hurting. Kristina explains everything well. Also she has helped relieve the pain in my hips and knees. She is very patient and a good listener. I am finished with my therapy, but Kristina said I can email her with questions anytime and come in to see her too! Thank you Kristina!

Fantastic experience: My son has been working with Kara at Athletico in Mount Prospect. He worked with her from 13 months to 18 months old to work on a gross motor delay and now at 3 years old to build core muscle strength. Kara is incredibly patient with him. She is flexible to cater to the whims of a toddler but also makes sure that he is doing the desired exercises. She is always adding new activities to keep him engaged and interested. We have felt safe attending there during COVID since they follow all the safety protocols.

Fantastic experience: Having never experienced physical therapy before, I had no idea what to expect. Upon arrival, the team at Athletico were kind and knowledgeable. Each time I arrived I was greeted promptly and warmly. Their schedule time is seamless and the therapy received reflects responsiveness as well as expertise. Kristina reassured me time and again that symptoms of my plantar fasciitis were normal while thoughtfully listening and altering exercises to meet my needs. She taught me a lot and gave me a plethora of tools as I exited (I was ambivalent to end sessions with this amazing team). I am so grateful!

Fantastic experience: Great place and highly recommend. I have used this place twice now over the last 3 years for knee surgery rehab and both times were excellent. Kristina, Kara and the rest of the staff are very nice & attentive. Started slow and gentle right after surgery but pushed me enough as my knee got stronger to get me back to normal and doing all the activities I was doing before.

Fantastic experience: I have just completed overt wo months of physical therapy Athletico in downtown Mt Prospect. I am extremely grateful flor the services I received there. The therapists and staff members are not only personable, but they also know their duties and take care of their responsibilities in an orderly and professional manner. Often I noticed that staff members are able to take care of some tasks without needing to be asked or to be reminded. The therapists follow the directives of the ordering physicians and, at least in my case, return repeatedly to the goals set at the outset of therapy to check on the progress made. In addition, since I have been at this clinic before, I noticed that there is little staff/therapist turnover which to me signifies that there is satisfaction with the employees and with patients like myself who choose to return to this clinic. Athletico should be proud of the employees who work at this clinic. I have always spoken well of this clinic and would highly recommend it to others. Pat Lacey

Fantastic experience: Athletico in Mount Prospect were professional, kind, and very helpful. The therapist, Kristina, and the therapy assistants were knowledgeable and easy to work with. My knee is so much better and my mobility has totally improved due to their work. April, the receptionist was also very helpful with my obtaining the correct referral. Thank you to everyone!

Fantastic experience: I chose this place for my therapy because of the initial contact with Athletico on Main Street in Mount Prospecr Illinois was amazing. Your first contact with a business is the person on the phone. This can make or break a new client choosing your business. She was kind, articulate and was the reason for my choice. She sent me my forms through email to save me some time. She booked all my future appointments. If you are running a business people….your phone folks are THE FIRST CONTACT. ATI did not get my business because they were not articulate nor did they have any appointments. They called me 4 days later to try to book my appointment. Athletico got me in right away no problem.

Fantastic experience: I went to physical therapy due to severe lower back pain. After working with Kara for about 2 months, my pain is completely gone and I feel so much stronger! She explained to me why I kept throwing my back out and how I needed to focus on the muscles I’m using during the exercises. Her guidance helped tremendously, and I’m able to continue the workouts at home. Since then, I’ve even helped 2 people move and haven’t had any back pain lifting heavy objects. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable at the Athletico - Mount Prospect location, and I would highly recommend anyone to go there.

Fantastic experience: I had a problem with my back and needed some therapy. I went to Athletico on Northwest Highway in Mount Prospect. I cant say enough of how well they treated me. Kara was my therapist. I was a little nervous that my back would never feel the same as before. I was proven wrong. My back feels 100 percent better. Kara took time to work and talk to me with certain exercises of what to do. I never felt rushed when I was near the end of my hour and she had another patient waiting. I would recommend this facility to anyone. Everybody from the front desk to the other therapist were just wonderful including Paul, PJ, John, Justine and Faith.The facility was very clean as well.

Fantastic experience: I came to Athletico with shoulder pain in both shoulders. I worked with Kara, the PT, for about 2 months. She helped me with strengthening exercises and an exercise plan to do at home. The pain had subsided greatly and my range of motion tested within normal range when my therapy was completed. Mt Prospect Athletico was an excellent experience for me. Kara was very competent, helpful, encouraging and friendly. The atmosphere of the entire place was positive and friendly. All in all, it was a great experience and I would recommend Kara and this facility very highly.

Fantastic experience: I have had 15 sessions with Kristina W for an issue with my neck and shoulder. I have seen much improvement over these visits. They have a great support staff too that helps Kristina oversee some of the exercises and stretches I do during my appointments. Kristina has given me a program that I am able to follow at home as well. I highly recommend this Athletico if it is determined that this type of therapy is right for your issues.
