Fantastic experience: Clean facility

Fantastic experience: My mom went in after a full hip replacement, and is now leaving three weeks later being able to use a walker and wheelchair by herself. The nursing staff was amazing and very attentive to my moms needs and was able to get a hold of someone to come and up her pain meds when the regimen she was on stopped working. The CNAs were fantastic with my mother, always being friendly and asking if she needed anything. The fact that the center allows for 24 hour visitation gave some comfort knowing if she needed something we would be able to be there for her at any time. Of course keep in mind there is still some patience which is needed since the staff is very busy. The only complaints that she had was the food was ok some days and as she says "uneatable". This is along with a visiting nurse being slightly rude to her one night, which the staff apologized for and said she would not be put with my mother again. Overall I would easily recommend this place to anyone who needs rehab. This facility made me feel comfortable enough to go home and rest for a couple hours a day and for that I am very thankful.

Fantastic experience: I visited 2 places & chose La Loma for my Mom's rehab. She spent 11 weeks there, went in unable to walk after a femur fracture & surgery, unable to bathe, toilet, get out of bed, couldn't get in or out of a wheelchair by herself. When she left she was walking with a walker & able to care for herself. The staff was great, the meals were fabulous, it was always clean & never smelled! They do a great job! Oh, and they provide a wonderful amount of info to get any needed services/equipment after discharge, they don't just kick you out & say, "bye-bye!"

Fantastic experience: La Loma has been a 5 star facility for my father in all regards! From skilled, caring, nurturing staff, all services rendered were excellent. The visiting hours for us were perfect and we always felt welcome. We highly recommend La Loma!

Fantastic experience: My husband has been at La Loma Health and Rehabilitation Center for a little over 3 weeks because of a broken back. Often care facilities have poor reviews and the news carries stories of how patients were not well treated. La Loma certainly does not fit into that profile. We regard La Loma as the best! We have had exceptional care from a staff that is professional, supportive, knowledgeable, and patient centered. Without exception, the staff has worked above and beyond to ensure that he is well treated and continuing to improve. From the nurses, CNAs, therapy staff, physicians, administration, food services, and social services, we have been tremendously impressed with every aspect of the support that they have offered. The facility is well cared for and the food services staff offer a wide range of options with delicious and healthy meals. Every question we have had has been answered promptly and assisted us in anticipating what the next step should be on this journey. I cannot be more complimentary of the level of care and support that we have received during this difficult time.

Fantastic experience: My mother has been in the La Loma Care Center three times now. Her only complaint is that the beds are a little "lumpy". The care is excellent and the people are great. I've had not so good experiences dealing with senior care centers in Florida. So I know what bad really is. The whole nature of the business can be challenging. La Loma does a great job in my opinion.
