My grandfather recently broke his leg and had to be admitted for physical therapy and extra care. He says his therapist and therapy are helping and he likes it. He can throw down in the kitchen, but said he enjoys the food. I am grateful for the CNAs and the care they have given along with the rest... Read More

I'am so glad I left evergreen nursing to work for the Laurels. This place is beautiful inside and outside, all employees are so helpful and nice they even say good morning and smile unlike evergreen not to mention it pays 3.00 more an hour. The Laurels is great.

I had good care while here a couple of my nurses were wonderful. My PT/Ot therapist were kind and helped me get back in shape after a knee surgery. No place will be perfect and could use improvements but if I needed to I would come back . The food could be better

Other My sister was there Jan 2023 for rehabilitation in the newer section which is nice. Carlos in the Business Office was excellent in helping us. Great service! Ashley, the nurse, is a true nurse with wisdom and great care skills. Tim in maintenance greeted us and showed us around and kept room c... Read More

My mom has been at the Laurels for 3 years. The staff are wonderful. I never worry about her safety. They take very good care of her. My sister and I have made so many friends with staff and residents.

This nursing home is the best around. It has no foul odor when you walk in, the staff is more than welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend this place for employment and your elderly.

My rehab stay after a severe illness was a very positive experience. The staff were very professional and caring. The encouragement I received made my return home sooner than expected!

The facility is clean and the staff is very compassionate with the residents. Will be amazing when the renovations are completed.

The management team, nurses, aids, and physical therapy staff couldn’t have been any more caring and helpful from the moment I arrived. They made sure I had meals and snacks to my satisfaction. The nurses aids went over and beyond to make me feel at home. I could not have asked for any better treat... Read More

Skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) like Ciena Healthcare provide crucial services for our most vulnerable population: the frail and elderly. Today’s SNFs have significantly evolved over time to provide both long-term comprehensive care and short-term rehabilitation services. However, in comparison to other medical settings, especially hospitals, SNFs are often overlooked for important resources and funding.

As health care evolves, skilled nursing facilities are increasingly providing care previously delivered in hospitals. Nationwide, the 65 and older population will double over the next 20 years. By 2040, it could triple. As our population ages, SNFs are becoming increasingly vital to the care and wellbeing of our seniors.

SNFs need advocates and allies to actively engage with their representatives and speak up about important issues facing our industry. This page is designed to share ways you can help support SNFs and the vital services they provide for our elders.

It is crucial the voices of SNF supporters be heard by Congress. Members of Congress value their constituents’ opinions and it is critical they hear from our advocates and allies.

The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) represents the collective interests of more than 14,000 non-profit and proprietary skilled nursing centers, assisted living communities, sub-acute centers, and homes for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities.

The facilities we manage comply with applicable Federal civil rights laws and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex.

Fantastic experience: The outside world has no idea how hard it is to work in the health care system. They are working with patients that families don't have time to care for family members at home, because they still need to work. Or don't have the skills. needed for their care.

Fantastic experience: My mother was a guest in this facility when she was most fragile and not quite herself. Not only did she survive, but thanks to this amazing team, she has returned to baseline or even better! People think that the information you hear in the public is gospel, but they don’t think about how people stretch the truth or have the mindset of being owed something. Had I listened to nay-sayers instead of checking this place out for myself, mom may not be here with us. I’m forever grateful to this caring and professional team for making her a priority and getting her home for us!!!!!
