NovaCare Rehabilitation - Kalamazoo

Fantastic experience: I had the great fortune of being referred to Kris Cooper for health challenges I was having with cervicogenic tinnitus...not an everyday malady that a PT might see. Kris has paid a lot of dues to receive advanced education and training in dealing with patients suffering from tinnitus, vertigo, dizziness and other neurological issues. His optimism and knowledgeable and reasoned approach to my care was beyond impressive and i am forever grateful to have come under his care. HIs care included very targeted treatment including dry needling, manipulation and exercise therapy...all of which brought me long overdue relief. If you need help, Kris is the best. Thanks Kris!

Fantastic experience: Such a great place! It was as excellent experience getting set up for my consultation. Friendly staff and so helpful every step of the way. Dr. Whicker did my initial consult and was professional, thorough and educational. She gave me things to work on at home and I noticed improvements right away. Each appointment has been seamless and effortless. The PT exercises and continuous evaluation while at the clinic have been helpful in getting me back to my normal. They listen to my goals and we have been working together to get me back to feeling better than before, and also learning how to prevent this from happening again. I would highly recommend this place for PT!

Fantastic experience: As someone who has had a myriad of sports injuries and received treatment from a variety of PTs, I absolutely had to get on here to give NovaCare a rave review. I specifically worked with Jess and Kris and they took such amazing care of me. They listened attentively to what my issues were, did a comprehensive assessment, and were able to explain things to me in an easy-to-understand manner. It is evident they put a lot of planning and consideration into treatment. They consistently re-evaluated and adjusted my plan to meet my progress. Within in a shorter period of time than expected, I was able to return to engaging in my favorite sports and activities without ongoing issues. I hope I don't get re-injured and have to return, but in the event I do, I 100% will be returning to this NovaCare!

Fantastic experience: Alex is extremely competant as well as very personable. Even though he is much younger then me, he was able to relate easily to my concerns because of those two factors mentioned.

Fantastic experience: I am working with Kris Cooper at NovaCare and I cannot recommend him highly enough. On day one he discovered the source of some problems I've had for +10 years that five other medical professionals were unable to figure out. He listens attentively, gives thorough explanations, and his expertise is obvious. His confidence in the plan he has created for me (and the results I have already seen in less than two weeks) leaves me with no doubt that he can and will relieve my symptoms. If I need anything else in the future, I will seek him out. The office staff has also been wonderful managing the insurance and scheduling side of things. Update: It's been about 6 months since I stopped working with Kris. I have some new but similar issues and have gone back to work with him again. I didn't even consider working with anyone else. Also, Stephanie at the front desk is wonderful.

Fantastic experience: Appreciated the depth of listening as well as the desire to find out what was wrong. Other PTs have assumed weakness in the quadriceps rather than other possibilities.

I have been to different PT places over the years, but hands down the best experience and results I have had is at NovaCare with Kris Cooper. He truly listens to his patients to determine the best care and uses an innovative approach in treating his patients. Fantastic experience: Katelynn Owens is so personable, professional, knowledgeable and outgoing. She makes every PT visit more enjoyable. She explains everything about the exercises she has me do, and what purpose they play in my rehab. I think she does one hell of a job.

Fantastic experience: My first couple of visits have gone well so far. Friendly front desk service as well as the experienced Physical therapist I have here. I like that they also offer aqua therapy as an option, which is good for rehab on joints. I will post an update in the future.

Fantastic experience: Nova Care is a wonderful place for rehabilitation. Katelynn Owens is so encouraging and targeted the therapy I needed perfectly. She (and the rest of the therapists on staff) stick with you throughout your various exercises. They really seem to enjoy their work and give their clients the very best care. A very professional group! I can say rehab was actually enjoyable and looked forward to my sessions with Katelynn...highly recommend. She's great!

Fantastic experience: I have suffered with extreme jaw and ear pain for more than 20 months. Alex and the staff at Novacare have done more for me in the last month than surgery or any other medical professional has done in nearly 2 years. I have a much better range of motion, am pain free, and feel so much better! I really love that they are a teaching center. Anytime Alex has a student working with him he explains everything in great detail and provides many scenarios. Alex and the team at Novacare are very in tune with their patients and are great at building relationships as well as strong, health muscles, joints, and bones. Highly recommended!! Best pt I've ever had (8 offices over 25 years). FYI, Alex loves socks if you want to gift him something for his excellent work.

Fantastic experience: Nick and Chris get my highest ratings as PT's, and as human beings. They are experts in their discipline, and both are caring, gentle, patient and motivating. They know what they are doing, and equally important, they know "how" to do it with their patients. All of my family have seen one or the other, and LOVE them, as I do!

Fantastic experience: Novacare has changed my life by providing answers and pain relief I have been searching for for years! Both Kris and Alex are knowledgeable, kind, personable and have amazing bedside manner. They both do an phenomenal job of explaining why they are doing what they are doing and showing me on the skeleton model so I can understand and be a part of my own treatment plan. I leave every appointment feeling significantly better and have noticed a positive change overall in my chronic pain. Shawna and Hudson at reception are kind, courteous and work hard to accommodate with scheduling! Anyone who needs to see a physical therapist would be lucky to work with this talented team of medical professionals!

Fantastic experience: My experience at NovaCare Rehabilitation has been wonderful. I look forward to every visit because I always feel so much better after treatment. Nicholas Smith has been a Godsend to me as he knew and understood everything about my condition and he acknowledged that what was happening was real and not even all that surprising. He had the wisdom and expertise to try some treatments on me that no one else had tried before and they have been successful. He is very kind and gentle and you feel safe with him from the moment you meet him. He is also a great listener and never rushes through your appointment. The front desk workers are always friendly and make you feel welcome. The PT Assistants are very gracious and caring. Wonderful experience!

Fantastic experience: My first experience with vertigo and home exercises were not helping. Medications were not helping. My primary doctor referred me to Nick, I got in within 1 day and he did such a thorough exam and explanation of everything. He focused on a couple of movements to treat getting the stones/crystals “back where they belong” in the inner ear and I had no further problems. I am an RN and I would HIGHLY recommend Nick and Novacare... vertigo is miserable, don’t suffer, go see him!

Fantastic experience: Took my son and had Tiffany Thaler as the PT. She was an awesome listener and explained what all she was recommending to be done after she examined him. My son was very happy with the treatment on that day as well as the printout of the exercises he will be doing at home.

Fantastic experience: My experience with NovaCare was fantastic. I started to feel improvement beginning with my first visit. The personal attention from Alex Kamp was fantastic. He made certain that I understood the reason for each exercise and sent me home with complete instruction on what to do between visits. I certainly agree with my Doctor's recommendation to use NovaCare due to their results.

Fantastic experience: I had an issue 2 years ago and was set up with Nic Smith & so when I had a similar issue recently I immediately knew I would want to work with him again. He is very knowledgeable and very informative in giving resolutions and exercises to do at home. He is also very personable and I enjoy chatting with him as I do my exercises.

Reception staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about insurance coverage and keeps current benefit status available. Appointments are always made to fit my schedule.

Fantastic experience: I have used the services of NovaCare Rehabilitation on three separate occassions following surgeries on my back, shoulder and hip. I recovered from all three surgeries with excellent results due largely to the prescribed exercises. I highly recommend this physical therapy center, especially Kris Cooper. He does an outstanding job of evaluating your specific needs and provides highly personal, professional service. He, along with his staff, are excellent to work with.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit with Nova Care and found the staff very pleasant to work with and being hearing impaired they were very understanding to my needs to speak slowly so I could understand. The physical therapist was very thorough when working with me to be fitted with Orthontics and took extreme care to not cause any pain knowing I had a bad hip. A very good facility.

Fantastic experience: The reason I rated you 5 stars is because the problems I'd been having with my hips and back has noticeably improved. I'm able to walk without as much pain as I previously experienced. My drives in golf have been 40-50 yards further than when the year started, about the distance when I was much younger, say 70 yrs old. Looking forward to the start of bowling season and doing much better than a 190 ave. I will continue with my workouts, they have really helped. I might even take a trip around the lake on a ski!

I just recently finished PT there and cannot say enough in praise for such a great place. All the staff and of course my personal trainer, Alex Kamp were courteous, effective, and friendly during my time at NovaCare.
