Fantastic experience: My orthopedist referred me to Laura because of pain in my right hip. I thought I needed a hip replacement. She evaluated me, prescribed some exercises to strengthen my hip for me to do at home, and worked with me in her office over the course of one month . My hip pain has lessened considerably and I now know what I can do to manage my health. Laura helped me immeasurably-she is knowledgeable, responsive and kind. I highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: I started seeing Laura following a bout of sciatica that was not responding to home treatment. The pain and discomfort prevented me from gardening and impacted most of my typical daily activities. After 5 visits, which included targeted exercise, massage and ultrasound therapy, I was back to my normal self. I continue to do my exercises daily and have been pain free for a month. Fantastic experience: I had a problem with my knee, from the result of a fall. It affected my leg, too. After attempting to give it time to heal, my doctors recommended PT. My wife had a very good experience in the past with Wood Associates PT, so I contacted them. Laura did an excellent job of guiding me through therapy which made a significant difference. I went from having to go up and down stairs, one step at a time, to returning to normal. I was also able to return to my prior ability to walk, for exercise, and to do the Tai Chi medium frame long form which I've been doing for a very long time. I'm continuing the exercises at home and they are continuing to help me with my recovery. I'm grateful for the assistance that Laura provided, and would highly recommend WAPT.

Fantastic experience: Laura at Wood Associates PT is the best physical therapist I’ve been to, hands down! I just finished a 6 week course for a frozen shoulder and already have almost all mobility back. She really listens and together you come up with a plan. If you stick to it and do your therapy at home, it works! I’m definitely going back to Laura if I ever need PT again. :)

Fantastic experience: Laura is an absolutely wonderful PT! I fractured my humerus snowboarding and had very limited range of motion. It’s pretty shocking how quickly I was able to bounce back. The exercises could be challenging but that’s how you know they’re working! I felt encouraged to push myself and felt myself making progress each time I went. I’ve continued to do the exercises she gave me to make sure my range of motion stays. Though I hope to not break any more bones, I will go back to Laura if I ever need to! In addition to being satisfied with my recovery, I enjoyed going in each time, Laura and Agnetta are so kind. A great environment to be in :)

Fantastic experience: My experience with Wood Associates was seamless. It is so well managed. Agnetta, the office manager, is so nice and always finds you appointments and sends emails or calls to remind you. Laura is wonderful. She is very skills and a great teacher. She does whatever you need that day, whether it is reviewing or leaning new exercises or giving you a treatment. The real test is that I got so much better. Laura is the only therapist but I have found it much easier to get appointments with her than other places I have gone with more therapists on staff. Thank you Laura and Agnetta.

Fantastic experience: I just “graduated “from physical therapy for my total knee replacement. I have regained full mobility and range of motion, and could not have hoped for a better outcome. This was the third time I have turned to Laura for assistance after major surgery. Each time I have made a full recovery. She is a magician.

Fantastic experience: Laura made me feel comfortable, was honest, and got me back up to my normal range of motion in 3 sessions (with homework of course). She used a combination of stretching, core strengthening exercises, and worked my muscles with the Graston tool to get my lower back feeling normal again. Laura was terrific to work with – knowledgeable AND warm and caring. I'll miss seeing her twice a week, but I so appreciate having my mobility back. And, btw, the office location is very convenient (on Concord Ave in the Old Sancta Maria Hospital facility) and there is ample parking right outide the door.

She provided a set of ongoing exercises to continue my improvements. 2 Years previously I had had an injured rotator cuff and she did a great job on that also. Positive experience: It’ve certainly received better physical therapy, in the past. I think I’ll cancel my follow up appointments. A big concern is that it is located within a long term care facility. I don’t feel safe there during Covid.

Fantastic experience: Over a six-week period I had 11 physical therapy appointments with Laura. My goal was to strengthen my legs. Laura devised a suite of exercises that perfectly matched my needs. I wanted to work hard, and Laura ensured that each session was filled to the maximum with hard work and practice embodied in a series of exercises of increasing intensity. The result was a considerable improvement in my strength, endurance, and balance. Fantastic experience: Wood Asso is an intimate PT practice & Laura is a wonderful therapist & person. She offers one on one care specific to your needs. When I was with her a few months ago, I had just had a spinal epidural & with the work we did in the office, I felt comfortable enough keeping it up on my own within a few months. Fantastic experience: When my doctor diagnosed piriformis as the source of my sciatic pain he suggested a chiropractor or a physiatrist. I had previously seen Laura for physical therapy and thought she might be my best bet. What a great decision that was. It took only three appointments to be completely rid of the pain. She also gave me excellent advice to prevent its recurrence. Not only is Laura just about the best PT I have ever experienced, she is also a thoroughly delightful person. A bonus is the office's convenient location on Concord Avenue with a huge, free parking lot. Another bonus is a small and efficient office.

Fantastic experience: Laura Wilczewski is a great professional and even better human being. I arrived her office with pain and low mobility due to an extruded herniated disc, after two epidural injections and with a scheduled surgery to happen a month later. Three weeks into the treatment with two sessions a week (plus repeating the exercises at home) I visited the surgeon and he ended up canceling the surgery due to my improvement. Every case is different, but all I can say about her is that she has plenty of experience, knows how to work, understand the conditions and provides the right exercises with the right frequency, intensity and time. She also listens and understands when the patient can push or moderate efforts. She is kind, has a good sense of humor and she is positive too, what makes the experience more enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: I went to Laura at the start of the new year with painful bursitis and sciatica that had been exacerbated by my new work from home situation and too much sitting and standing for long periods. I saw Laura for about two months, 2 days each week. My sessions, combined with a lot of personal work (more movement during the day, nightly strengthening and stretching exercises), have markedly improved my comfort level, and completely eliminated the pain I was experiencing at our first session. I’m no longer skeptical of the power of physical therapy and doing the RIGHT activities for healing! Laura is great. She took the time to listen and make sure that what she was recommending was actually working. She and Pat are a great team. They are so friendly and personable, and I always felt safe and welcomed in the office.

Fantastic experience: I have good news for you. I have been to physical therapy in Newton Corner and Newton Wellesley Hospital. Would not recommend their production line process and supervision by interns. I did see them for my knee problem. A couple years ago I had a sore shoulder and found a therapist at Sancta Maria Hospital, a few blocks from you near temple. What a wonderful experience. Laura is knowledgeable, professional, friendly, good sense of humor, fully equipped, gives good instructions and sheets to take home, and has a nice office assistant. They are easy to schedule and give you their full attention. I finally was convinced to get a knee replacement this year and obviously the scheduling got delayed. But is was clear to me that I would return to Laura at Wood Associates Physical Therapy for my care. Her specialty is orthopedics so she was confident and made me feel I could regain my knee use. I now realize that after I achieve a level of movement and strength I can continue on my own and I can regain normal function. I looked forward to my visits there as it gave me confidence that progress was being made. It was a big disappointment when I was told I was being discharged a couple weeks ago. I continue to see progress with home exercise program. I do drop by their office occasionally as there is a friendship.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Laura. My podiatrist recommended her after a broken ankle and I'm now completely better. She was also happy to help with a niggling shoulder injury that had been bothering me for months (but not enough to make a special appointment for it). That too is also much better now. She's completely flexible about meeting your needs. I kept going to her during Covid and felt very happy that it was safe. She's really nice and friendly, plus loads of free parking!

Laura is highly experienced, personable and professional.A few weeks ago, I could barely sit, stand up or bend over. Thanks to several sessions of manual therapy and exercise with Laura, I am almost as good as new! I have never trusted in treatment programs until I met her. Also - her COVID protocols are excellent, and I have never felt more safe about being treated during the pandemic. PLEASE do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Laura. Her fees are completely fair, even if you don't have insurance. Her administrative assistant - Pat, is charming and knowledgeable on all kinds of insurance issue - this is a rare trait these days! The lessons I've learned: 1) Support small businesses - the personalized care is unmatched. 2) Work with a PT that understands orthopedic and manual therapy. Laura is your person!

Fantastic experience: I am an 86 year old active woman. I have osteoporosis, and arthritis in my back and hip. I have been able to contain the discomfort related to these conditions through daily treadmill exercise and Yoga. Several months ago, the pain became very serious and my usual regime did not relieve it. Sometimes unable to walk, and fearing that I might become crippled, I decided to try physical therapy. My doctor recommended Wood Associates. After 13 sessions of exercise and massage I am essentially pain free. Laura has saved my life!! Of course, I continue to do the exercises she has prescribed as well as using the treadmill daily. Laura is a superb practitioner and delightful to work with. I could not recommend her more highly.

Her expert physical treatment of the affected area and instruction on strengthening and prevention of recurrence had me pain free within a few weeks. Fantastic experience: I am a physician and have broken my both ankles falling from stairs 3 months ago. My ankles were immobilized for tho months and last month started physiotherapy with Laura, twice a week. She did a complete evaluation of strength, flexibility, balance and impact of my condition on daily activities and designed a individualized program for my needs. She followed me up on every exercise and corrected/ adapted according to my progress. One month later I have a complete recovery, ready for sports and normal life!
