Fantastic experience: After a week of persistent pain in the back of a leg, I visited Lei. He took one look and said: " you have shingles, I can treat you for it". One treatment was sufficient to eliminate the deep tissue burning and twisting pain. The next morning, my primary care P.A. confirmed the diagnosis and prescribed an anti-viral course to avoid post neuralgic pains. Always grateful to Lei!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to G&L Acupuncture for about 15 years. First treatments were for allergy and sinus issues; went from taking two allergy medications a day to none. Fantastic experience: I was very worried and a bit skeptical about acupuncture before going to G&L after a few other experiences. However, I gave them a try and am very pleased with the results and they have opened my mind to acupuncture. First of all, the office is very clean and professional, which is a big thing for me, especially if getting acupuncture or any procedure done. The staff is also very professional, energetic, and positive - they take the effort to know your name, greet you, and make you feel welcome. Most impressive is Dr Liu and his staff. They took the time to understand my hesitation with acupuncture, the problems I'm having, and make sure that I was comfortable with the treatment. They even have buzzers to call them if I was at all uneasy during the treatment. I also was treated by another doctor who covered while Dr Liu was out and the same very high bar was maintained. Thus far, a 4-5 month recovery, as told to me by my PCP, is trending to 1 month after seeing G&L. Overall, this is an amazing business and I'd recommend it to anyone who has done acupuncture before or is considering it for the first time.

Every time I come into G&L the front staff are always so cheerful, knowledgeable and always accommodating. The rooms and common areas are so clean and welcoming. Fantastic experience: Nina Yonezawa is incredible! She has years of experience helping people using acupuncture and other methods of treatment. She's very intelligent and insightful, and clearly cares about helping her patients. I went to my first session yesterday and I slept better last night than I have in a long time. My pain levels are lower in my joints as well. I plan to go twice a week for the next month and I hope to see continued improvements! Jenny at the desk is great too!

Fantastic experience: I met Dr. Liu last June in 2021 after my sister had been discharged from the hospital for a brain surgery. My sister was on tube feeding and in wheelchair. Dr. Liu is a very thoughtful and considerate doctor. He had confidence that he could improve my sister's situation. It was very comforting for both me and my sister. After 6 months of treatment, my sister can swallow food, and walk with walker. I recommended a friend to see Dr. Liu and she is also satisfied with the result. I highly recommend Dr. Liu.

Fantastic experience: I recently had hernia surgery followed by urinary retention complications for the next 4 weeks and had to use a catheter to pee. It was suggested by my doctor that I take Flomax for my issue (no thanks). I went to see Lei and 2 days after my first treatment I was able to go on my own. G and L is a life saver!

Fantastic experience: I originally visited Alex to address pain in my shoulder from a recurring issue. The pain was reduced the day after my first visit so I could sleep on that shoulder. More importantly Alex took the time to ask about all of the current issues I was having and included inspiration/motivation work as well. After a couple of sessions I had a sense of restlessness and have finally had the inspiration to use the physical therapy sessions as a foundation to build positive habit changes. Big thumbs up.

Fantastic experience: I started acupuncture in December 2020 due to frozen shoulder. My practitioner, Joy, has been wonderful to work with during my recovery. She is very personable, takes the time to listen to my needs, and is encouraging. The staff is friendly and the rooms very clean.

Fantastic experience: I have had an on-going auto-immune issue for over 2 years. I finally went to see Dr. Lei and by the 3rd treatment I noticed improvement and have continued to heal over the past few weeks. Amazing! He is really great and so are his staff. Fantastic experience: Lei is a phenomenal acupuncturist. I went in for issues with chronic jaw and sinus pain in addition to headaches and anxiety. I felt that he really listened to my concerns and came up with a solid plan to address them. I had never had acupuncture, so I didn’t know what to expect. I felt very comfortable and for the first time, hopeful. Five treatments in, and my pain is subsiding and is very manageable at this time. My anxiety has lessened in that I am better able to handle daily life stressors. I can’t wait to see what continued treatments will do. I definitely plan to make acupuncture part of my regular self care routine.

Fantastic experience: Love this Place!!! Nina Yonezawa is Amazing!! I have been going to the Beaverton location for about a year now. The staff there are all friendly and professional. Before every appointment, I receive a screening call for safety and their office always follows protocol. I have to admit, honestly, the reason I keep coming back is Nina Yonezawa. I can not speak highly enough about her. She really makes the whole process an experience. I have seen other acupuncturists and its always been super clinical. Nina really cares about the people she treats. She takes the time to really get to know you and because of the exceptional level of detail, she is able to really give you the personalized care you need. I came in originally with back and neck pain and have since been treated for seasonal allergies and eczema. Highly recommend G&L Beaverton and Nina!!!

Fantastic experience: As a physician, I always believe that I know my body and know how to handle the body pain and discomfort till I met with Dr. Liu at G & L acupuncture. After several weeks acupuncture and message therapy, my body pain and discomfort are resolved completely. Fantastic experience: I’ve always been curious about acupuncture but I never really though it would work for me, but I was wrong. I mainly did it to see if I can get my insomnia under control, and I after speaking with Lei on my first visit we addressed few other problems, with me waking up between 3 and 5 times a night to having some sweating issues. Going in I figured this was not a quick fix and honestly I wasn’t looking for one, I’ve had insomnia all my life and I was tired of taking sleeping pills for me to sleep. It was after 3 treatments that I started to notice that I was only waking up once a night or not at all and that to me was mind-blowing, I can now sleep through the night and wake up feeling rested. After about 5 or 6 treatments I started to taper off my sleeping pills and was able to take away one pill which is a big deal. Also my sweating has majorly improved and this is a journey and not a quick fix and its only been a short while for this treatment but the results speak for themselves. The team at G & L and absolutely amazing and always greet you with a smile. Keep up the great job and thank you for what you do!

Fantastic experience: Lei has helped me so much with pregnancy related nausea and vomiting. Before seeing him, I was getting daily IV fluids, even during my second trimester. Now I’m able to keep fluids and small meals down, which has significantly helped my quality of life. I’m highly impressed by how kind and thoughtful the staff is. The business is super clean, and I feel very safe and well taken care of with their COVID precautions. Can’t recommend enough!! Thanks for all you do!

Fantastic experience: Dr Li has helped me so much! I am amazed at the different things he is able to test! He recently half me with some serious jaw pain. Had an appt to see a TMJ specialist. They were talking"head gear" and "mouth piece" and I hadn't even been in to the doctor yet! I mentioned it to Dr Li and after the first visit pain was reduced by about 80%, It was such a relief! I cancelled the appt with the specialist. Dr L was able to help me on the first visit with no mouthpiece or weird equipment. Plus he's never kept me waiting in his office, he listens when I talk to him instead of typing on a computer the whole time and his staff is amazing. Very caring! I highly recommend Dr Lii if you hv health issues, or to maintain your health,. He is a wonderful doctor!

Fantastic experience: I was having horrible pain in my right arm and decided to give acupuncture a try. My experience has been nothing but great! Everyone is extremely friendly and patient, Yoshi has been hilarious and caring through my treatments!. When I went in I couldn’t lift my arm but after 1 session the pain was reduced massively and I had instant relief, I’ve been going twice a week for 3 weeks now and notice a HUGE difference!

Fantastic experience: Great experience so far. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The providers are patient and thorough. They check in often to see how you're doing during the treatmwnt. I feel heard and validated with my chronic pain. Having that bit of relief at the end of the day helps bring my headache and neck pain down for the evening.

Fantastic experience: The minute I walked in the door, feeling defeated, lost and in chronic pain, I was welcomed and cared for instantly. Yoshi is my acupuncturist and is wonderful. Fantastic experience: It is a positive experience from the moment you walk in to G&L Acupuncture, a feeling of friendliness and welcome. Although I was a bit skeptical when I came, I have seen positive results. Most noticeable has been improved sleep (a big issue for me), lower blood pressure, and amazing relief from a TMJ flareup. G and L's Acupuncturist treated my health issues and I am now feeling great. I have tried other acupuncturists and have not had the positive results that I have seen at G and L Acupuncture. Fantastic experience: I had been suffering for several years with pain in both knees and given Corticosteroid Injections along with anti-inflammatories & pain medication. When I went to G&L Acupuncture I could hardly walk. After just the first treatment I got off the table & it felt like a miracle, I was able to walk with little pain. By the second treatment I arrived once again noticing a downhill spiral. After speaking with them and now with a greater understanding how Acupuncture works. I am now into my fourth treatment and feeling better than I have in years. My stress level is lower, I am sleeping better & best of all my knee pain is almost gone. I admit I was very skeptical about acupuncture but now, I highly recommend G&L Acupuncture and would give them 10 stars.

Fantastic experience: G&L and I have been committed to long term holistic heath. Started going for specific treatment, but stayed for maintenance, friendly staff and herbal supplements. Acupuncture can't cure everything, but it works well to get the body in tune. Stop by for a session or three and see what it can do for you. I initially visited for chronic ear problems. In the 7 years since, G&L (and Zheng) have helped keep it under control. I've only had to visit the ENT dr twice during that time (vs every 3-4 months before then).

Fantastic experience: I have been going to G&L since 2007 and have been very happy with my acupuncturist and masseuse. Due to work, I moved away for a few years and tried many other acupuncturists, but had never felt confident and/or comfortable with them. When I returned to the Portland area, I returned to G&L and have been referring them to my coworkers and friends. The reason I like them is because my acupuncturist, Zheng, got her training at the Traditional Medicine school in China, and have tons and years experience in a hospital setting. As a native Taiwanese, that means a lot to me. Also I like how she always pay attention to my wellness and alway shine her warming light on me so I don't get chills during the treatment :) My masseuse, Morgan, has been wonderful as well. I have very tight shoulders, and she goes in and does whatever it takes to adjust the alignments. Also, the staff are always friendly and helpful. I constantly email them for detail recipes for my insurance purpose. They alway respond promptly and deliver whatever I need. I have been introducing my friends to the clinic and my friends have good things to say about other acupuncturists as well. As long as I am in the Portland area, I will probably never switch to another clinic. I'd recommend this practice!

Fantastic experience: I suffered long term with frequent migraine headaches before getting treatment at G&L. I was getting them at least twice a week and they were severe. I had tried many other types of treatment and home remedies over the years, but nothing worked. After seeing Stephanie, I showed significant improvement after just a couple of months, and now after several months of treatment I'm down to 1-2 mild headaches per month. I definitely recommend acupuncture and this clinic specifically because of the experienced and compassionate acupuncturists who really care about their patients.

Fantastic experience: G and L Acupuncture is a wonderful Wellness Center to get treatment. Before I had arrived to my first treatment I had already heard many positive reviews from my co-workers. They Have a great staff with many acupuncturist and a couple of massage therapist. I regularly see Stephanie for acupuncture , she has helped me so much with pain and anxiety I had received after and auto-injury. She is always very friendly and knowledgeable. Both Morgan and Alex are really excellent massage therapist. They have a very friendly front end staff as well. I always leave so much better then I came in. I cant recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to G and L now for about 6 weeks. I love this place! It is very clean every time I visit, the staff are always very friendly and professional. Most of all, the treatments have done wonders for me. I chose acupuncture for anxiety and panic attacks due to a friend suggesting it as I did not want to be using all of the drugs that were being prescribed to me. I literally noticed results after the very 1st treatment and 6 weeks and 16 treatments later I am now 13 days with no medications or anxiety. Thank you G and L!!

Fantastic experience: I have been working with G&L Acupuncture and Lei Lui at the Beaverton office for acute anxiety from chronic stress for the past 5 weeks. The experience has been amazing. Lei was recommended by my Psychologist who said she trusted him Implicitly. At this point I do as well. He has a great demeanor and is caring and concerned and varies the treatment to match my symptoms. The treatments worked immediately to reduce my stress and anxiety. Now, I look forward to each session and come out entirely relaxed. A big differentiator at G&L is the people. I was assigned a case manager (Ashley) who takes time to discuss my situation and my progress before each session. This is a one stop shop for emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical wellness. Very highly recommended.
