After rating more than 15,000 skilled nursing facilities nationally, U.S. News & World Report named Hillcrest Health & Rehab as one of the “Best Nursing Homes for 2022-2023.”
Hosting an array of therapies including physical, occupational, speech and aquatic, our 10,000 square foot rehab gym is the largest in the region. By providing these services on-site, we are able to help you recover and return home faster following surgery, illness or injury. To provide consistent and reliable care, we have our own team of therapists, not a contracted third-party therapy company.
Magnolia Terrace and Magnolia Circle provide 24-hour care in two secured neighborhoods conjoined by a beautiful indoor garden with aquarium and aviary. Hillcrest Health & Rehab: Reviews
Positive experience: I am a travel nurse aide and this place and the workers really try and care about the patients and want patients to get better, they could have more PT and stuff for people to do but otherwise This place is a great Rehab and so many people come out in way better condition. The CNAs/Nurse Aides care so much! I promise! The actual nurses are a hit or miss.
Fantastic experience: When I have visited family and friends here at Hillcrest Health & Rehab, I am so amazed how clean and nice everything is. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I was able to me the two administrators Tammy and Amber, and see why this place is so inviting. They did give a lot of credit to their amazing employees. I feel other nursing faculties could learn a lot from this model Health and Rehab center. This is where I would want to come if I ever need their services.
Fantastic experience: My mom spent all of COVID and her last years at Hillcrest on the nursing home side. I had many concerns along the way that I discussed with staff and we came up with solutions. Her case was complex partially due to her changing her wishes and having to balance safety and quality of life. There were other concerns too, like the ability to communicate changing rules during COVID. But it didn't help my mother often took down signs, and who could blame her? The staff was thoughtful and caring. It is a good solid choice if you are looking for care in the Omaha area. I would stay involved and advocate for your loved one, but that is true of any facility (and she was in several throughout the years). Every resident should have a visit at minimum once a week and more contact through phone. The main weakness at Hillcrest is communication between various groups (dieticians with nurses, medaids with maintenance, medaids with laundry, etc.). If you can't talk to the head of a department directly, then your best bet is your social worker.
Fantastic experience: I am an employee of 5 years at Hillcrest Health and Rehab. HHR is a good facility that offers a culture of kindness and accountability. We understand that aging is not easy physically or emotionally, for the individual or their family. It can be a terribly stressful time for both. That being said, communication is key. We will do our best to anticipate your needs but happy to take direction for individual preference. When I say Hillcrest is a 5 Star, that comes from the heart, because there’s no place I would rather be. I will say though, the sign of a great healthcare facility, is not perfect scores or perfect care, there is really no such thing. It’s offering kind, encouraging, and knowledgeable care givers that listen and are willing to take action to ensure we do the best we can for every individual. That’s what people should look for when choosing a facility, the culture, and that’s why I hope to be here for many years to come.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been very happy with the level of care and support that the staff has shown in taking care of my mother after a hip fracture. Every time she needed help, they were there for her. Her transition specialist went well beyond in making sure her transition to assisted living was taken care of.
Positive experience: So far so good. But they seriously need to change the weekend visiting hours to at least 6:30 because 4:30 isn't anything
Fantastic experience: The staff truly care about the guests. The food is great!
Fantastic experience: I've met many of the caregivers and management that work here, and I have been so impressed with the compassion and care that they give. I've even met the administrator and she is an AMAZING human being. The food is delicious (home made ice cream with flavor of the day!) and the therapy is the best I've ever seen. Keep up the great work Hillcrest Health and Rehab!
Fantastic experience: Such beautiful facility’s and amazing people!
Fantastic experience: I had the most memorable experience at HHR in Bellevue. Although there were some problems with one of the aides not believing that I was not able to move my legs. Once I was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome which causes paralysis she knew I wasn't playing. All the other staff were wonderful and we have stayed in touch since I was discharged.
Fantastic experience: Great Company & Workers
Fantastic experience: Love the new renovation! The staff is caring and provide great care.
Fantastic experience: The physical and occupational therapy staff at Hillcrest Healthcare is top notch! My mother has progressed more at their facilities in weeks, than the months spent in another facility.
