Athletico Physical Therapy - Papillion

Fantastic experience: I tore my ACL in August and I went to Excel before and after my surgery. Nicole is a wonderful PT and the rest of the staff is exceptional as well. After I hurt my knee, a lot of people told me that PT would be the worst part of the recovery, but I've really enjoyed my sessions at Excel and have made great progress since surgery. Once I'm fully recovered I will miss seeing everyone there!

Fantastic experience: 3 of my family of 5 have been seen at Excel and we LOVE them. They remember your name, greet you and always listen. They have helped both of my daughters return to normal activities after shoulder injuries. Nicole is super knowledgeable and as nice as can be. Mari has been amazing and we look forward to seeing her as a PT in the future. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about the physical therapy and individual care that is provided here. The staff at this facility is compassionate, understanding and amazing at what they do. Especially for those who have suffered an unplanned injury. Amy is so knowledgeable at her craft, of mending you back to full strength! She’s there to push you and guide you through the ROM exercises; correctly and with proper technique, so your strength is gained back to an acceptable and satisfying recovery. Fantastic experience: My PT worked out excellent at Athletico! At first I wasn’t sure how it was going to work! But as time went on, everything fell right into place and progress went fast! Fantastic experience: I can not begin to tell you how blessed I am to have access to great care, professional therapists and a comfortable engaging atmosphere at the Papillion Athletico. Diana is at the front desk, she is welcoming and full of assistance. She has been a staple and the reason I have returned to this location. I have found a Miracle Maker in Amy. She is an amazing phyisical therapist. She worked hard to prepare me for a total knee replacement. I would never have been so successful without her encouragement, pain management tips, expertise and her skills in working with me on balance, strength and endurance. My Ortho surgeon even commented on my quick rebound after surgery and felt the PT was the contributing factor. I have continued my Post Op Pt with Amy and can not say enough about her knowledge and interest in her profession. I have never experienced such great care and concern for whole body wellness and being fit for life. She has walked beside me on this journey, researched some of my post op issues and has worked diligently to keep me on the progress path. Not sure where I would be without her. I have many friends and family who are amazed by the dedication of my PT (Amy) and the good experience I had. It was encouraging to go with the friendly atmosphere and good teamwork happening among the therapists.

Fantastic experience: Karli is very professional expresses care for each individual patient. She takes the time to listen and really emphasize each small victory every step of the way. Any new pain or issue she isolated and dealt with quickly so as to further the overall healing process. I appreciated that she asked if I was ready to move on to new/more strength exercises. There is no growth or healing without some discomfort, and Karli was able to turn the discomfort into a positive experience of health and healing. -Paul

Fantastic experience: After tearing my bicep I was given the option of surgery or physical therapy. Thanks to Karli and Amy I have navigated this injury and am returning to full strength. Their techniques and careful consideration of my injury were incredible. Constantly checking to make sure we weren't going too hard too fast and stepping it up when I felt ready. I will recommend this office to everyone I know. Also, Dianna at the front desk is the kindest woman and helped me with my insurance. Miguel is a great assistant and fun to chat with while doing my warmups. 5/5, great team all around!

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at this clinic. The therapists are caring, knowledgeable, and professional. They listened to my concerns and tailored the treatment to my needs. I had chronic tension headaches and a shoulder injury that prevented me from doing my daily activities. Karli was amazing at fixing both issues with her skills and expertise. She also gave me helpful advice on how to prevent future problems. The atmosphere at the clinic is very family-like and welcoming. I felt comfortable and relaxed throughout the sessions. Fantastic experience: I've just finished 3 months of physical therapy at this facility and could not be happier with the experience and result. Ryan and Amy's professional and personable personalities made the work of strengthening hip and leg muscles after hip replacement (almost) a joy! I would most definitely recommend this Athletico facility.

Fantastic experience: The team at Athletico is caring and extremely knowledgeable. They identified what was causing my pain and the treatment plan corrected the issue. They provided me with great aftercare to continue my wellness beyond the in office therapy. They provide excellent care.

Fantastic experience: From the first day I came in, I knew I was in a place of support, healing, and patience. I had been in a bad way for about a year before surgery. After Shoulder Magician Dr. Eric Bonness at Ortho Nebraska had his way with my rotator cuff & some other shoulder parts, I wasn’t sure I’d get over the pain, or be able to wipe my butt again. As she manipulated my stiff, weak appendage, Amy smiled and and cheered me on, never pushing me too far (but far enough to make me sweat, make inappropriate comments and jokes, and grind my teeth and forget to breathe). I couldn’t have regained my range of motion or strength without her. I owe all of my recovery to Athletico and would recommend to anyone needing to feel better or help healing after an injury Call Diana and she’ll hook you up with a first available appointment. You know they’re good when they’re busy all the time—get in there!!

Fantastic experience: Well, I went back to Athletico after a major rotator cuff tear in Jan. Why did I go back -- because this team is INCREDIBLE!! Six months of helping me gain my dominate arm back was a journey!! They are very experienced, very determined to help you repair and very caring! When I was mentally tired, they supported me through it!! You are met at the door by helpful people who will get you scheduled and answer your questions, you leave on your last day with a restored body and genuine delight that exceptional customer service is this teams true calling! Excellent job at supporting us as a whole body with your whole hearts! I will try and stay upright, but if I fall, I know the team that will catch me!!

Fantastic experience: I had knee replacement surgery but unfortunately there were a couple of complications. Karli and Amy at Athletico worked with me 3 days a week for 3 months to get me back to “normal”. These gals were so kind and knowledgeable through this process. This was a very difficult time for me but they made me feel confident that I could do all that was required. I would recommend them to anyone needing physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: Great team! On my first visit I could barely walk even using a cane. After a very detailed evaluation of my condition and great explanations of what was causing the pain and weakness in my knee, we got to work. By the time I left that first visit, Diana had appointments set up to match my availability. Kim was my main therapist and coached me as we built up strength and flexibility in the knee and hip. I "graduated" this week, able to walk several miles a week. By continuing the exercises Kim taught me, I am confident my knee will be ready for the hiking and biking we have planned this spring and summer. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: From the very first call to Athletico, Papillion office, I felt as though I was talking to old friends. Everyone in this office is friendly and caring. Karli is absolutely wonderful. She made me feel comfortable from my first appointment and let me direct the way my treatment would go. She was very understanding of my needs. I was able to make such great improvement in just a few weeks. I would definitely go back to this office, if ever needed in the future, and I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Bailee was recommended to me by a former student, Jenn, who works at a different Athletico location. The whole experience was fantastic from the get-go. The entire staff is engaging, professional, knowledgeable and attentive during the sessions creating a low-stress and supportive environment. I honestly looked forward to my appointments because Bailee and Amy, who had seamlessly stepped in for some sessions due to scheduling changes/conflicts, were a blast to be around. I highly recommend Bailee and Amy at the Papillion Athletico location for your physical therapy needs.

Fantastic experience: I started going to Athletico when it was Excel Physical Therapy and continue getting the quality of therapy that I need for my quality of life as an active retiree. The staff is “top notch” and they really know what they are doing in whatever issue I am being seen for. You are made to feel right at home the minute you walk through the door. You won’t be disappointed with the end results if your goal is to succeed in meeting and exceeding your ultimate goals.

Fantastic experience: Kyle has been my therapist since June. He is great to work with. Kyle explains what every exercise helps & exactly how to do them but to not overdo it. I progressed ahead of schedule because of his knowledge and the put together for me. Diana upfront has been very helpful with any insurance issues & works to make all appointments convenient

Fantastic experience: Very friendly, knowledgeable and professional group. I might actually say it feels a bit like family. Always happy to help out and vary treatments so you aren’t doing the same things all the time. I must say, they have made physical therapy something more to look forward to than to dread. Fantastic experience: Bailee Shupp was awesome in leading my recovery from shoulder and bicep surgery. She was kind, listened and clearly explained her plans and was soo patient with me. She kept the atmosphere upbeat weather alone or with a group and led the conversation to keep everyone's mind off an injury. Bailee is great person and a skilled DPT. I am 16 weeks post surgery and feel and function better throughout the day than I have in a year.

Fantastic experience: The entire team at Athletico Physical Therapy in Papillion were very friendly and very professional. They really cared about helping me with my physical condition and helped me tremendously. Whenever I needed to reschedule an appointment they did so at my convenience usually within the same week. I definitely recommend this facility if you have physical therapy needs.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Kyle for some pain and instability I was having in my knee. I was very satisfied with my experience. Kyle worked with me to set goals and created a comprehensive plan to reach those goals. The office staff at this location is exceptional as well. I would highly recommend Kyle and Athletico Physical Therapy.

Fantastic experience: Bailee Shupp is a great therapist. She is very caring and great to work with. My ailment has healed considerably under her care. I highly recommend her. The rest of the staff are also great to work with this includes Dianna and Eric.

Fantastic experience: I pulled a hamstring in my right leg and was having difficulty walking. Kyle did an excellent job of evaluating my pain and put together a plan to strengthen my leg. The combination of in office and home exercises quickly addressed the problem. I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I am a return patient to Athletico Papillion for back, hand and arm issues over the years. The team has been wonderful to work with, very patient and caring to know how I am feeling and to listen to any concerns that I have during my PT and OT sessions. The team is professional and really know what they are doing!!! I've been able to have flexibility in my appointment scheduling also. I would highly recommend them to my family and friends!!! Fantastic experience: From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by a wonderful staff at the front desk! All of the therapists are wonderful, caring, respectful, etc,,, I can't say enough wonderful things about the therapists!! I unfortunately, had several issues of pain to deal with. I always choose this place to come to, because they make you feel at ease, and when my sessions are all done I feel 100% better! I would recommend this place to everyone!

Fantastic experience: I’m currently working with Kelsey after recovering from a broken leg. She is fantastic! She knows about so many different exercises that I can do to regain strength. She is always so encouraging. I love going to physical therapy. Everyone at the Papillion location are very friendly !

Fantastic experience: Strongly recommend this branch of Athletico. The referral office at Offutt pointed me in this direction to deal with a herniated disc and stenosis diagnosis. I went a bit hesitantly as I've never gone through physical therapy. I could not be happier with the treatment I've received since going there. I was "assigned" to Kelsey and got to know her pretty well over my roughly 12-15 visits (I don't remember the exact number). The process Kelsey took me through was what I would suggest is crawl, walk, run based on my progress. Just what I needed. And when I took a couple of steps backward in my progress she was right there to help me make the proper course corrections. Besides the actual physical therapy I also did their dry needling on two separate sessions. Interesting process -- nothing like the full length (~3") of an acupuncture needle (3 of them each session) inserted into your butt cheek. It was not painful, and it definitely helped. Again, I strongly recommend this specific branch. And if you are fortunate to be assigned to Kelsey -- have some fun and use some military phonetic terms to talk with her. All the therapists are great there including Jana who has moved to another AthIetico location. I have a better understanding and appreciation of the benefits of PT as I am experiencing them. Fantastic experience: I went to Athletico in Papillion for several months for my frozen shoulder. Kelsey worked with me 3 days a week and was fabulous. Kelsey was gentle In her approach yet pushed in all the right ways to get results. I was amazed at all the different techniques she used to work my shoulder back to normal. Kelsey, Nick, Amy and the entire staff at Athletico are a top notch team! They all work together to create a pleasant environment and that really helped me get through frozen shoulder. I highly recommend this facility!

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Excel/Athletico for nearly 5 years, initially for treatment following rotator cuff surgery, and since then, returning occasionally for back issues and mostly self-inflicted running injuries. I have always been able depend on receiving consistent, professional treatment from Nicole, Amy and the Athletico team at the Papillion clinic. Fantastic experience: I started coming to Excel Physical Therapy in Papillion to address chronic neck pain that I’ve had for years. It was getting to the point where I thought the pain would simply continue to get worse throughout my life as painkillers and muscle relaxers don’t even put a dent in it. I’m so happy to say I was wrong. My physical therapist listened to my history in detail and asked me lots of questions to determine the best course of action before developing a plan to not just reduce pain but strengthen other muscles to encourage better overall health. The entire team here is remarkably caring, professional, and highly effective. They are constantly adjusting and evaluating to make sure you get the treatment you need, all the while making you feel comfortable and welcome. I cannot recommend this team enough, the treatment I’ve received there changed my life.

Fantastic experience: Over the past few months I've been rehabbing shoulder, wrist, and knee issues with Nick at Athletico in Papillion. My experience at his location could not have been better. Nick is FANTASTIC!!! He's extremely knowledgeable and his people skills are spot on. The other members of the team (Diana, Kelsey, Amy) are caring and helpful too. My shoulder and wrist are back to full strength (thanks!). My knee required arthroscopic surgery. Nick was extremely helpful in preparing me for what I should expect with this procedure. Fantastic experience: I have had two knee replacements, and I went to the Papillion location of Excel Physical Therapy (now Athletico) for physical therapy for both of those knee replacements. While much of the staff had changed from the first time in 2012 until the second one this year, the service and treatment I received for both knees was excellent, then and now. The current staff, led by Nick, is dedicated to quality service for patients. A major priority to Nick is continuous education and research so that he and his staff remain on the cutting edge of the latest science and trends in treating patients. His entire staff (Amy, Nicole, Victoria, Aaron, and Diana) is friendly, professional, and devoted to the needs of the patients. While sessions were always pre-planned for my steady improvement and ready to go when I arrived, staff members would make adjustments and tailor the session to what my specific needs were that day, if necessary. I would go there again for any future physical therapy needs, and I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for quality service and quality treatment.

Fantastic experience: Nick & the entire staff at Excel are amazing!!! I was experiencing migraines bi-weekly for 3 months. My neurologist believed it was due to my extremely tight traps. She suggested I see a Physical Therapist before jumping into a new medicine. To say I was reluctant and doubtful is an understatement (I've experienced migraines for over 5 years and been through many different medicines), but happily to my surprise I have not experienced a migraine since visiting Nick & his staff (going on 7 weeks). The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and incredibly professional. If you are in the Omaha area, I would highly recommend coming here!

Fantastic experience: My latest visit to the awesome location was again top notch. This time is was related to my knee replacement surgery that I had. The staff here just plain rocks, from the minute you walk in until the time you leave, you are treated with the utmost respect, they know how to treat your specify injury. Providing you with expertise explanations on what the recovery time will be and why were doing the rehab exercise they were having me do each week. And when these exercises started to change, they explained why. Overall top notch, I was 6 to 8 weeks ahead of recovery schedule when it was my time to end my rehab. Thanks to all, Nicole, Jordan, Mari, Kiley, Jay, Diana, Bailey, Janna and all you all rock!
