Kim Burns DPT, OCS Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Kimberly is great! Knowledgable. Patient.Encouraging. She really gets you to be aware of how you move your body. In just one session I felt improvement and hope that I can rectify life long issues. HIGHLY recommend
Fantastic experience: Kimberly Burns is a delight. A true professional you can tell cares about her patient's success. So far if K. Burns says she will do something she does and it is amazing and refreshing. I trust her and my daughter trusts her.
Fantastic experience: A big thank you to Kim Burns! She helped my 15 year old with her posture- something I've tried in vain to do. Kim's no nonsense, yet positive and personable style, was just what we needed. My daughters' daily headaches are gone, as is her slouching. I recommend seeing Kim Burns if you're in any bodily pain. She's an expert.
Fantastic experience: Kim is amazing! Not only did she diagnose exactly what was going on with my shoulder pain, her exercise suggestions and detailed explanation of how to do the exercises properly was incredibly helpful. Thank you so much, Kim! I'm just starting, but even after the first day I could feel the difference. She is wonderful and I can't recommend her highly enough!
Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Kim for about a year now with sports and job related injuries. She works on relieving the immediate pain and then sends you home with exercises to help strengthen and support healing. She's very encouraging and supportive, love working with her!
Fantastic experience: I am so pleased to have Kimberly Burns as my Physical Therapist. Her skillful diagnosis and exceptional treatment of my chronic head and neck pain and limited range of motion have improved my quality of life! With reduced pain, greater flexibility and improving strength, I've been able to resume physical activities I've long avoided. I appreciate that she describes the problems and her solutions in depth and encourages my progress.
Fantastic experience: I had no idea that PT could actual change my life. After several months of working with Kimberly, my orthopedic surgeon canceled plans for replacement knee surgery. The point of surgery was to relieve pain; without that pain, he told me I was no longer a prime candidate — despite what the x-rays showed of a severe case of osteoarthritis in both knees — bone on bone. I went from walking as little as possible to manage the pain, to easily working out 7 to 12 hours weekly, 1 to 2 hours a day, walking, biking and doing high intensity aerobics with two 5lb weights. The orthopedic surgeon had also told me that this kind of surgery works best only the first time around, and lasts about 15 years; hence, it would be far better to defer it as late as possible, into one’s 70s or later. Because of Kimberly’s insightful, gentle physical therapy regimen, I keep opening up my horizons, finding myself in better shape and range of motion than I had been in the 30 previous years. Thank you beyond words, Kimberly!
Fantastic experience: Kim helped me to get a diagnosis for an issue that has been plaguing me for 5 years. I had been to three PTs before her and no one was able to explain what was going on and help me to find relief. I am forever grateful for her expertise, attention to my symptoms, and straightforwardness in communication. I recommend everyone to Kim.
Fantastic experience: I’ve gotten more results from my work with Kim than all the other PT’s I’ve worked with!
Fantastic experience: I’ve been to many good PTs, but Kim is beyond impressive. Her evaluation is spot on, and she was able to take me from not being able to stand (cook/shower) or walk for very long to being able to complete Oyster Dome hike in 7 weeks, then to trekking in the Himalayas a month later (a trip I almost cancelled due to my condition.) She changed my life, I recommend her enthusiastically!
Fantastic experience: Kim was able to find the issue right away. she developed a plan to fix the root of the problem. Then gave me exercises to do on my own, that were specific to my pain. Highly recommended
Fantastic experience: I am so grateful to have established care and work with Kim. She combines expertise with a willingness to listen and discuss your concerns. Kim is knowledgeable, intuitive, caring, and taylors the right plan for your specific physical issue. She continuously evaluates how your body responds to different manipulations and stretching motions. With her exceptional abilities, she can often find my problem areas before I recognize definitely where my issue lies. We have been working together on some of my mystery problems. She has conveyed critical insight to my doctors that assisted them in identifying significant components of my paradox. She has been instrumental in my care, and I am evidently blessed to have found Kim. I would recommend her to anyone that needs physical therapy.
Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a caring, cutting-edge and super knowledgeable Physical Therapist, I HIGHLY recommend Kim Burns! Kim helped me a great deal when I came in for ongoing back/leg pain. She’s amazingly knowledgeable about the body and how everything is connected! Having been to other PTs in the past, I was so impressed by Kim. She is very professional and clearly knows her stuff. I appreciated that Kim started me off with exercises/stretches at a beginning level. She had me build up my strength gradually which helped a great deal and made it more manageable for me. Kim is also an attentive and compassionate listener, and she gives helpful suggestions! ~Kathleen
Fantastic experience: Dr Kim really made a tremendous difference to the outcome of my busted knee!
Fantastic experience: Kim is hands down the best PT I've worked with in Bellingham. And, as a (former) runner, I've seen several. Kim is curious and knowledgeable, effectively assessing the cause/s of pain and discomfort and creating a program including a combination of manual therapy and exercises that build strength, flexibility, endurance, and stability. After she evaluated my mystery bilateral rib and back pain, she explained the likely neurological issue, the mechanism by which we could fix it, and that I could expect my pain would be reduced at least 50% within five weeks--and it was! After another three weeks, my body felt livable. She asks good questions, listens, and clearly explains what the healing process will entail. I highly recommend Kim.
Fantastic experience: Kim was instrumental in my healing journey. After seeing several other PT's, Kim gave me the confidence and direction I was looking for by offering a clear treatment plan, backed by diligent data collection—this made it easy to see progress at each visit. She also gave the meaningful feedback and encouragement I needed to stay motivated. I can't thank her enough!
Fantastic experience: Kim gets results. Her no-nonsense approach includes a thorough observation and testing of the problem, and she moves quickly to exercises that ease pain and then build up strength in the body’s muscular system as needed. She is happy to explain body structure, movement dynamics, and the nature of injuries. In a concussion I had, her work gave immediate relief. Her reports were praised by the neurologist I saw. I’ve seen her for several injuries and will go back to her if something else surfaces.
Fantastic experience: I could write for days and still not be able to list all of the ways that Kim changed my life when she took me on as her client. I had been rear-ended on the freeway and was in terrible pain. I had a severe concussion, a sprained neck, nerve pain, tissue damage in my hip and as an athlete and business owner, my mental and emotional health were at an all-time low due to the pain. Kim was my PT for several years and helped me every step of the way. Her knowledge of the human body and how to help her clients is unparalleled in Bellingham in my opinion and she truly cares about every person she works with. Thank you for everything Kim… I honestly don’t think I would have survived what I went through without you!
