Lotus Flower Physio: Reviews
Fantastic experience: 11/10 couldn't recommend Laura enough! I'm bummed I didn't go in sooner, i.e. waited until I had a problem instead of seeing her for prevention. Like many women I learned the hard way that suffering from pelvic floor issues in pregnancy and postpartum are in fact not normal. After my first visit my sciatic pain disappeared and never came back. Then it was all a positive snowball effect of resolution. Pregnant, postpartum, TTC; don't walk, RUN to see Laura!
Fantastic experience: Laura's grounded, warm, and present nature was so welcome throughout the process of my treatment with her. She educated me throughout the process and always checked to make sure I understood the how and why of what we were doing. Her approach is holistic and she is passionate about pursuing more knowledge and incorporating that into her work.
Fantastic experience: I’m so fortunate to have found Laura! I have suffered for years with leaking when I cough sneeze and pain in my pelvis, I’ve had many surgeries on my stomach and just overall had trouble with breathing, causing rib flare and so on.. In just a couple sessions I was able to get the guidance and care and wisdom beyond belief from Laura! I no longer leak when I cough and sneeze or jump!!!! Yay.. I have learned so much about my body and pelvic floor and breath work and acceptance that I’m so encouraged by my experience, I tell everyone I can about Laura Flood and her AMAZING techniques and knowledge. Don’t hesitate, take care of yourself ladies and let Laura guide you! She is very kind, warm, genuine, listens to ALL your concerns, highly recommend her.
Fantastic experience: Laura helped me to resolve some issues that I had been experiencing for a long time pre-pregnancy and also helped me to prepare my body for birth, giving me insight unique to my body and experience that would help me during labor and insight on how to treat my body well in the season before birth. After birth, she helped me to recover and strengthen my muscles again. It was amazing to me how my muscles seemed to forget what they were capable of, but Laura worked with me and coached me and we were able to remind my muscles what they were capable of—all in a safe way. I don’t want to give birth and go through postpartum again without pelvic floor therapy. It was also just a gift to have someone know what your body has been through and walk with you during your healing journey. Thank you, Laura!
Fantastic experience: Laura is the third pelvic floor PT I have seen. I came away from my sessions with her more empowered and with more knowledge than I ever have before. She is so kind and empathetic. I cannot recommend her enough!!!
Fantastic experience: I was referred to Laura by my primary care provider after being diagnosed with bladder prolapse. I came in with a grade 2. After working for several sessions over a few months with Laura my prolapse is more like a 1 and I’m not really experiencing any symptoms. I have been taught how to properly strengthen my core to maximize my pelvic floor health. Laura is so welcoming and empathetic. She makes you feel comfortable during a worrisome diagnosis. I strongly recommend her for Pelvic Floor PT.
Fantastic experience: Working with Laura was so helpful and I recommend Lotus Flower Physio for anyone who is thinking about getting pregnant, pregnant, or postpartum. I had a so much pain during my first pregnancy that I could not walk for the last 6 weeks and had a long road to recovery. Because of Laura, my second pregnancy could not be more different. I feel strong, capable and physically ready to deliver my baby, plus I am still up, moving, and walking with two weeks to go! She will treat the whole person, get to know your history and your goals and implement a realistic and sustainable action plan. Plus, my partner and I worked specifically on pre-labor, labor and delivery positions. We are both so grateful to Laura for her role in supporting us through this process!
Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience working with Laura at Lotus Flower Physio! She is an incredible resource to anyone needing pelvic floor care. I worked with Laura during my prenatal and postpartum months. I got pregnant with my second baby sooner than I had wanted/ expected and was not fully recovered from a bladder prolapse from my first birth. I immediately got in touch with Laura and she was able to help me physically and mentally keep the prolapse at bay as my body changed throughout the pregnancy. She gave me tools that not only worked but also made sense with my schedule and life! Unfortunately, we moved away so I am not longer in her amazing hands, but she will always be a resource for me! I look forward to keeping the knowledge that she has given me in my back pocket. It truly felt like a treat to go see her every appointment! She is kind, thoughtful, and extremely knowledgeable. I can't say enough thanks!
Fantastic experience: 10/10 recommend Laura for pelvic floor therapy! I was hesitant to choose to pay for her services vs seeing a provider that was covered under my insurance but I am so happy with my decision and feel it made a huge difference. She was able to help me not just on a physical level but on a mental/emotion/energetic level as well. She went above and beyond to connect me with other resources to pair with her care to help me heal on many different levels. I was completely symptom free within 3 visits! - Alexis Ford
Fantastic experience: Laura is kind, compassionate and an incredibly skilled Pelvic Health PT. She folds in energy work to her sessions and really listens to your body. I cannot recommend her enough. No matter your age, history or goals, Laura will help you heal and thrive. Go see her!
Fantastic experience: Laura has helped me a ton. She offers a holistic way of looking at pelvic floor health and has incorporate yoga into my care. Her yoga classes are life changing! Honestly, I've been doing yoga for more than a decade and have never connected to my pelvic floor during a class. Her classes are incredibly helpful to my overall healing. I highly recommend her!
Fantastic experience: Seeing Laura was a very good decision indeed. She is very knowledgeable about pelvic issues, professional, warm and friendly and immediately created an atmosphere of trust and confidence that I could heal the concerns I had coming in. I always looked forward to my appointments and, bottom line, pelvic issues we resolved to the point where I feel so much more confident about myself. She gave me simple exercises to continue and offers ongoing care should I need it plus she offers a yoga class designed to improve pelvic function which I hope to attend soon.
Fantastic experience: Laura provides high quality care in a supportive environment. I'm so grateful to have had her support through postpartum recovery and I highly recommend her services!
Fantastic experience: I was referred to Laura back in 2019 when I was pregnant with my first child. I had an umbilical cord hernia at the time that I was deathly afraid of rupturing when going into labor. I could have been in my 25-33 week window when I saw her a couple of times, because there was much to learn and positions that would help during labor for which my partner joined one of my sessions with Laura. She was more than happy to work with him on how he can support me during labor and it was such a bonus. We had done Hypnobirthing classes together, but her help was just another awesome tool in our toolbelt. We ended up transferring to the hospital as our plan B, I had close to a 55HR labor from water breaking to vaginally delivering our daughter. Had it not been for some of the positions Laura showed us, the timing could have been longer to which St. Charles was starting to get impatient and push for the C-Section (even though we were all within normal ranges of everything)... The positions my partner and I used in the hospital came from Laura and helped my body open up more- My cervix just wouldn't completely efface prior which is why my labor was longer than I think it should have been ;) We birthed a healthy baby girl and right then Covid came a couple weeks later. I didn't get back in to see Laura until close to 12 or so weeks PP. Because we saw her prior we were able to work on a couple things in the mean time, she was very responsive via email to check in and let me know when she would be back into practice. Such an awesome provider that goes above and beyond for her patients! 2023 we are going to have last and final babe, and I knew I needed Laura on my team. We have our doula, our midwife for our 2nd attempt at a water birth, and I have my Pelvic Floor Specialist, Laura. The investment in our body (especially during pregnancy) is so crucial, and the importance of checking in prior to delivery is a must. Even if you plan a C-section. Given my previous experience, I'm more than happy to put money aside to continue seeking care with someone who is profoundly knowledgeable in pelvic floor; to have her in our community is the best support women can have prior and after childbirth. Your body will thank you and you will forever be grateful!
Fantastic experience: Laura Flood is an excellent PT! Her treatment is thorough and professional. But there's something about her offerings that truly sets her practice apart from others. Laura offers care for the whole person. She addresses your physical needs while holding space for what may be changing in your life on an emotional, identity and relational level. The healing that comes from her work is multidimensional. Strongly recommended.
Fantastic experience: Laura is the best physical therapist that I have ever had! She is kind and generous with her time when seeing patients. She has been excellent at helping both my husband and me get back to running after injuries and arthritis. She is also a super yoga coach! Her yoga instruction is fun and it has helped me improve my strength and balance.
Fantastic experience: Laura was pivotal in my recovery post c-section surgery. She provided so much knowledge. so much guidance. so much grounding. the perfect blend of science and sacred. she was incredible - I didn't want my rehab to end. the space she creates is nothing like any other physical therapy space I have experienced - she's a true gift to our community. if you are having a baby or had a baby you should 100% visit her - if you had a c-section you should 150% work with her to recover quickly and fully.
