Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming Alpha Rehabilitation for two weeks and I’ve noticed an immediate difference. I’m currently receiving treatment for my neck and back. I first met with Wajahat, Akhtar, D.C who basically gave me a break down of the affected areas, and the holistic approach that would be taken to help me long term which includes a combination of chiropractic, massage and physical therapy. I will admit I was skeptical because I believed the pain I’ve accumulated was permanent. I WAS WRONG. I’ve been working with Ken, Kong MT who educated me on the significance of maintaining care of your body. I explained to Ken the origin of my pain and he’s targeted the area immediately. He also explained to me the importance of consistency in order to feel a difference. Next I worked with Noel Velazquez DPT, who Introduced the benefits of cupping and dry needling. Dry needling made me nervous but I decided I’m in the hands of a professional, he’s knowledgeable with the technique so let’s have at it!!!!! My shoulder and back muscles have felt the difference almost immediately in terms of relief. Lastly being aligned byWajahat, Akhtar D.C. have been life changing!!!! This was my first experience and I am nothing but pleased, every time I leave the office I feel relaxed and at ease. Lastly the staff is polite and efficient with setting appointments, they’re very good with accommodating dates to fit your schedule needs. Please make an appointment, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I have been having lower back pain thats been causing alot of discomfort to lower left side of glutes and hanstring for weeks! doing my own stretching with very little improvement ! I finally decided to go see a professional and in one visit here at Alpha Wellness Center I cant believe what a big diffrence that visit made! Noel Velasquez was very thorough and great at explaining what was causing this discomfort! With PT and Needling and Electric stimulation I feel 75 percent improvement and wished I would of gone sooner! Highly recomend and I plan on doing my physical theraphy there after my foot surgery and also will bring my son who does Crossfit to help him with muscle pain from heavy lifting! Highly recomend!!

Fantastic experience: Great staff and doctors at this office, very friendly and involved in your health. I used to have chronic back pains, but now feel a whole lot better after just a few months! Great massage & physical therapists and desk greeters too! They kept me well informed throughout my whole treatment process I would definitely recommend this place for anyone with back issues. Fantastic experience: I was experiencing pain in my foot, near my ankle, and was having difficulty walking. The pain wasn’t getting any better, so I contacted Dr. Velazquez. He got me in right away, assessed my ankle, and was able to treat it. After only a few visits, I no longer have pain. His expertise and knowledge is top notch! Fantastic experience: I have been training BJJ at Uflacker Academy for 5 days a week for the last three years. Massages never helped relieve soreness from training so I went to see PT Noel Velazquez (who is also a BJJ student) about 2 weeks ago. So far through needling and manual adjustment work I already feel about 80% relief from my neck stiffness and back pain. I am so glad I went to Alpha rather than just a regular chiropractor. The whole team is very professional and provides multiple treatments (Paul the massage therapist has already worked out rotator cuff stiffness I didn't even know I had!). This should be your go to place to heal up if you are a martial artist or in any intense contact sport.

Fantastic experience: My name is Anna Somers and I am a professional mma athlete. I dislocated my knee 2 years ago amd went through extensive pt (at a chain price company) and saw orthopedic surgeons and received oral steroids and Injections with literally NO relief or improvement in my pain management or ability to train pain free. Since my 2nd or 3rd apt with PT Noel Velazquez through needling and manual work I have been almost 100% through even my hardest sessions, when I do have pain I get worked on and within a day or 2 I'm back to normal. The relief alone in every day life has been 100% worth it but as an athlete this has helped my longevity in such a rough contact sport. I'm incredibly grateful for him and every one at Alpha! Also get a massage from PAUL!

Fantastic experience: Practicing jiu jitsu may lead to some pains that you would not be expecting, and sometimes your knee will bend in unexpected ways. I went to Alpha to treat the knee injury, Dr.Velazquez treated my knee injury to perfection, not having any pain at all. Fantastic experience: I DO NOT LEAVE MANY REVIEWS BUT THIS PLACE DESERVES ONE I have always trusted Alpha Pain Rehab & Wellness Center with caring for my degenerative disc disease and radiculopathy. I always leave with a smile on my face, feeling better than when I first arrived. If you experience an injury and develop sudden pain, Alpha will take very good care of you. Even if you don’t have an injury and are just have pain, this is the place for you. I have tried many similar places in the past and they were no comparison. I travel close to an hour just to get there when I have 4 places within 4 miles of my home.I give 5 stars to Alpha and the friendly staff making your appointments to the chiropractors treating you along with an MD when needed. There are also physical therapists to get you back on track and of course a pain specialist for an X-ray guided injection, if you just can’t cope with the pain. Fantastic experience: A huge thank you to Dr. Velazquez! Here’s a little background before my journey with Dr. Velazquez began: Until May 20, 2022, I was an active competitor in BJJ/ Muay Thai/ & getting ready for a MMA fight soon. I soon tore my MCL, ACL, and meniscus while wrestling and received Physical Therapy after reconstruction at another location for some time. There was a complication resulting in another surgery and more PT. After the second bout of Physical Therapy, I was “released for sport” (after ~6 weeks) unable to perform any athletic movements. I was limited to functional activities of daily living and could not even complete a bodyweight squat to parallel without significant pain. I attempted to work on my deficiencies to rid myself of pain and weakness, as I have a relatively thorough understanding of fitness, but to no avail. Frustrated with being in constant pain and a lack of progress I reached out to a teammate who recommended Dr. Velazquez. She told me he works with other fighters in the Chicagoland area and trains himself. I called Alpha Pain & Wellness right away and scheduled an evaluation with him mid June. I told him my whole history and my goals. Immediately, he was able to understand the verbiage of a combat athlete and was incredibly attentive. He was on board with my goals and wanted to get me back to competing just as much as I did. Having a Physical Therapist who knows your sport is crucial to understand the positions, stress, and workload that is done to the body. The gears were running and throughout our beginning sessions, he would tell me his plan and the progressions that I would eventually make with him. To alleviate what was previously chronic patellar tendon pain, he dry-needled me. After only a few visits, my pain and my muscle knots had vanished. Then we began building from there, finding deficiencies in my movement, building my explosiveness back, and progressing to the awkward and rotational movements that Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, and striking require. Every session I walk in able to accomplish something new at practice and every session I leave with more confidence in my knee’s capabilities. He keeps it fun and safely challenges me to simulate the level of difficulty that MMA takes. I walked into his clinic unable to perform a bodyweight squat without pain and now I’m at the point in my rehab where I am flow rolling, boxing sparring, and beginning to throw kicks again. I wouldn’t recommend any other place for Physical Therapy. The care is personalized and the entire staff is dedicated. Alyssa, who works closely with Dr. Velazquez is an absolute pleasure. She is just as attentive and caring and has recently taken a huge part in helping me progress. Thanks again Dr. MMA!!

Fantastic experience: This place is incredibly special. They take care of you and listen to your needs and your experiences to give you the best care they can. Everyone knows you by first name, and minor details don’t go unnoticed. PT is at your pace and is knowledgeable (okay, they all are), doctors take their time to explain every step and answer any and all questions you may have. I almost don’t want to leave this review because I want to keep them to myself, but too good to pass up. There is no second choice.

Fantastic experience: I'm having a positive experience at Alpha. You get more personalized care than at bigger physical therapy clinics. Dr. Velazquez does a great job of listening to his patient's medical concerns and building a treatment plan, which he adjusts depending on your condition and progress. They offer a variety of services, such as physical therapy, massage therapy (thanks Ken, Paul & all), chiropractic adjustments, etc. The practitioners are knowledgeable and the front office staff is helpful with scheduling.

Fantastic experience: Great Chiropractic Office. I was having chronic lower back pain but after seeing Dr. Velazquez I no longer have any issues. Ken, Nat, Beth, and Xalia are all great massage therapist who always make sure to take out any knots I have in my back. The front desk receptionist Cynthia is also very helpful and accommodating when it comes to scheduling new appointments. Overall, the staff is very professional and I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a chiropractic office.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Noel Velasquez is really great at what he does! I came in with some deep elbow pain (from BJJ) that was not improving after a few months. Within two visits I would say I saw an 90% improvement in mobility and pain reduction. The dry-needling can be intimidating at first, but it was not painful, and works wonders!!! The PT performed also helped me better understand what I can work on while at home. Overall, I hope to make these "maintenance" visits a more frequent part of my lifestyle and highly recommend this office to anyone dealing with sports injuries.

Fantastic experience: While visiting Chicago, I was away from my home city and needed an adjustment and massage desperately. (2 car accidents in one summer back in 2006) I occasionally suffer from lower back inflammation and neck stiffness from working a desk job. As well as I have on and offsets of carpal tunnel syndrome. The care I received at Alpha was quite exceptional. I was impressed by the staff's knowledge as well as the accommodating nature of their service. I was provided great insights to do self-care at home. Definitely recommend anyone with physiotherapy needs to give them a call and book an appointment.

Fantastic experience: I was in a car accident and had severe neck pain until I came to Alpha Pain. Dr. Velazquez and Dr. Akhtar provided a lot of information about my pain and diagnosis. Dr. Velazquez and Xalia provided exceptional physical therapy treatment that included dry needling/ acupuncture, cupping, and massage. They are a great duo! Fantastic experience: I have been going to this group for all of my therapy. I had 2 herniated discs in my back that they worked with me to mend it. I have been doing great ever since and it has been 10 years since my accident. I also have gone for massage therapy and their masseuses are Spectacular. Very accommodating and make you feel comfortable and at ease. I highly recommend them for physical therapy or a great massage after a hard day. The facilities have made vast improvements since they first opened and have expanded their capabilities beyond their original capabilities. Extremely professional.

The front desk staff are always so nice and scheduling is very easy, the therapists are amazing and the doctors, especially Dr. Akhtar, are also very friendly and caring. I have been here for lower back pain from herniated disks as well as various injuries and I always get treated quickly and you feel how much everyone, including the doctors, really care about you and the pain you’re experiencing. Fantastic experience: Very friendly, professional, and go above and beyond to address your concerns. Came in with pain/stiffness in the shoulder and neck and now have increased mobility and no pain. I have been going to Alpha for about 3 weeks now. I start out with a massage from MT Ken Kong to loosen up my shoulders and neck. The physical therapist Dr. Velazquez then sets me up for a few exercises, cupping, and the stim treatment. Finally Dr. Akhtar works his magic by performing an adjustment. I haven’t felt this good in years and highly recommend this fantastic team!

Fantastic experience: As a professional mixed martial artist not only has this place been the best but Dr. Velazquez is just amazing. He helped me with a shoulder rotation problem. I was experiencing tightness restricting me from rotating and throwing punches normal. Within a couple days of PT with Velazquez, I was able to move my arm and get back my range of motion. He helped me get back to myself again. I definitely recommend this place and seeing Dr. Velazquez!!!
