Fantastic experience: All the doctors and nurses were caring and kind. I felt very relaxed and comfortable during my overnight stay. There was not one thing I had a problem with this hospital.

Fantastic experience: They saved my father's life. Many of these reviews are by people who admit on the review that they were not even patients! I had a really good doctor who was affiliated with this hospital and I am glad there is a smaller community hospital in the area that is still going.

Fantastic experience: I had surgery and receive the best care. I was skeptical because of the reviews of others. However, that was not the case. I am very happy I decided to have my surgery here. I received the best service the nurses were very attentive and helpful. They kept checking on me making sure I was ok. The nurses gave me really good advise for how to care for my cut. Nurse Lynnel and Esmeralda were the best. I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart for all the doctors and nurses for saving my dad's life. He wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the excellent attention each nurse and doctor gave him. May god bless this hospital and it's staff! <3

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I had the best emergency treatment in my 71 year life. I was transported by ambulance with a severe injury and within 30 minutes Dr Diana Goodwin had my wound cleansed and sewed me up. I was in and out in less than 2 hours and that included a catscan. The nurse Daniel Max was outstanding as well as all of the technicians.

Fantastic experience: My father was recently admitted to the hospital and I have to admit the bed side manners where top- notch. From answering every question that I had to making sure my father has the best care. I will forever be grateful with the staff in the 4th floor for giving my father a second chance in life. I will like to thank all the nurses and pct. Keep up the good work. Just remember negative comments makes us work harder to achieve perfection one day. Love you guys

Fantastic experience: Just had my 3rd visit to MacNeal. First time my doctor sent me there for X-Rays. Other 2 times were trips to the ER. Every time the staff (intake people and doctors) was attentive, kind, compassionate and thoughtful. We've never had a long wait and have always been treated very well.

Fantastic experience: My mother in law was hospitalized there and they were wonderful. I have all my doctors all at MacNeal and never had an issue. Great staff and great doctors!

Fantastic experience: I'm not sure what all these poor rates are for. Most are just people that need some attention. Lol. But let me tell you guys. I am the biggest complainer on the planet. I always see some that could be better but this place was AMAZING!!!! I'm 47 and have never been to a hospital where everyone took care of your needs. From the phone call for instructions, to the pick up, the people at this hospital made us feel like we were family. Everyone was so nice and took care of the issue on the spot instead of passing it down for someone else to deal with.

Fantastic experience: I give 5 stars to the ICU doctor Mike and the entire day and night nursing staff this past week! The RN Marcello was BEYOND AMAZING and Donna she is hands down AWESOME!! I am a professional woman and thd care my son received in the ICU was above 5 stars!!

Positive experience: First, let me say that I truly appreciate the police and EMT that showed up to our house when I called for my husband. I was scared and he needed help and everyone seemed to be pretty friendly and able to get him over to the hospital quickly. Same goes for the nurses and doctor that I spoke two and the two Security Guards who were very friendly. My issue is that when I was allowed to go into the Emergency Room area where my husband was, the first thing I heard was a joke being made about my husband and his condition. My husband also confirmed the same, that as he started to become more aware of his surroundings, he could hear people talking about him and not in a positive way. . I understand that we're all human, we have jobs, and we have fun on the job but that's wildly disrespectful and unacceptable in my humble opinion. When you're working with people in their most vulnerable state, I think we all deserve a little understanding and COMPASSION. I can make guesses as to why those jokes were made but we'll leave that offline for now. I just want other humans to have the grace and understanding for EVERYONE when they NEED help... REGARDLESS of why they NEED help and YOUR OPINION about it. Please do not choose to be a medical professional if you feel so outwardly judgemental of others and what you THINK you know about them. Keep it to yourself or AT MINIMUM, let us be out of earshot so we do not have to hear your opinion which may cause us more stress and anxiety as the person in need. I hope that you all are doing well. Minus the fact that I am upset, I still appreciate you all doing the jobs you do because we NEED you to be there. Take care. PS - When a machine starts to intermittently beep without explanation at seemingly random intervals of time and we see a nurse getting up to just tap the silence button, please explain to the patient/family members what's going on whether or not it's an emergency. The average person is not well informed about the equipment used at hospitals and how they function.

Fantastic experience: I been in another health clinics , but I never have this good good feeling Everybody make us feel like they know us and treat us like a person with care not like another places treat you bad when you don’t have insurance .. and that remaind me god was there becuase even was busy and every body has lot to do and pressure they still have peaceful, definitely god is there ! Fantastic experience: I had my baby there while in custody and the nurses and doctors were great! They didn't make me feel uncomfortable the total opposite. I want to apologize to the nurses and doctors in labor and delivery and moms and babies because of me they had to deal with cook county sheriff's. I will never forget everything you guys did for me and my baby! I love you guys ♥️

Fantastic experience: Due to a negligent hit & run driver, mom & I ended up in 2 different hospital ERs - mom was taken to her hospital & I went to mine. ER was packed, yet Drs, Nurses, Techs & Staff worked efficiently to get everyone registered, seated, seen & treated. The Dr who saw me knew I was more nervous about my mom than myself & told me he was sorry this happened to us, that he was going to take care of me...I wanted to cry - was so grateful for his kindness. Everyone who did their part taking care of/treating me, they each showed me their unique special kind of awesome quality. I'll forever appreciate them for their gift of calm kindness when I needed it as well as their medical skills shown to me. Many many many blessings to Loyola/MacNeal Hospital.

Fantastic experience: Spent the night in the ICU at MacNeal after a AAA repair. I was apprehensive because I had never been there before. That apprehension quickly disappeared when I started experiencing the staff. Here are some names: Maria, nurse in Same Day Surgery, Dr Marcus (sp?), head of ICU, nurses Lexxie, Ricky and Autumn in ICU. They were all friendly, helpful and extremely competent. I've been hospitalized many times and this is one of the most positive experiences I've had.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely enjoyed my time at this hospital!! Caring nurses and doctors were the best! I wish I could hit the lottery and give them all some money for the way I was treated. The pandemic was awful and still is to an extent, but the staff.... I mean ALL of the staff, were caring and handled our frustrations, tears, and anxieties. I'm not in a rush to get sick and go back, but definitely a go for my medical needs if necessary. Thank you team!! ❤❤❤

Fantastic experience: I went to the emergency room at MacNeil Hospital on 10/10/2021 about 2:pm until 7: pm and I would like to say I had exceptional care...the entire staff was outstanding. I want to give a special recognition to the doctor that was on staff Dr. Nu the ex-ray technician and the nurse that waited on me I believe her name was Marie. I'm forever grateful to the entire staff !!!

Fantastic experience: 3 weeks ago I had knee surgery 11/12/2021 .the nurses and doctors really took care me on my first surgery. I was discharged on the same day . I also received a card from the hospital . Thank you for all you do .

Fantastic experience: I was there for a surgery 2 weeks ago and had a very good experience. Nurses and doctors were great, made me feel cared for. Everything went well and I was discharged quickly. Next day I got a phone call from the hospital inquiring how I feel, and later I got a postcard wishing quick recovery.

Fantastic experience: I was admitted to the hospital not too long ago the nurses and doctors they really do care they'll treat you nice I like to thank them all especially the nurses they go out of their way to make you feel at home and if you need them they're there and also will not forget the residence the newbies they try hard people should give them a break and to the other staff good job great job for keeping the hospital safe and a special shout out for the nurses for watching over me and my leg

Fantastic experience: I came all the way from the north side of Chicago, to get my second Covid vaccine here today. The staff was first class. From the moment I arrived I was impressed with how the nurses and receptionists treated the visitors. My nurse helped me to feel at ease. They were as cool as a cucumber. If I ever need to get another vaccine in my life- I’ll go here again. Two thumbs up for Loyola!

Fantastic experience: Tommy was my ER nurse the other night. He was absolutely fantastic! I was very overwhelmed & he kept talking to me & joking with me. It really calmed me down. This world needs more nurses like him! The tech working with him Anthony was equally amazing!

Fantastic experience: My wife gave birth here on August 26th by means of an emergency C section. The entire staff was extremely professional and within hours of arrival our baby boy was delivered. Everyone from the anesthesiologist to the nurses and surgeons were terrific! I highly recommend this birthing center. Everyone has been so helpful in the nursery as well. I can't thank everyone enough for all their help and compassion. You can tell that every staff member genuinely cares about each patient.

Fantastic experience: I usually don’t leave reviews, but my stay at Mac Neal hospital last Friday, June 19, 2020 was the best experience I have had with a hospital. From the admitting nurses to the last nurse who took me out. I wish I could name all of them but forgot when the anesthesia wore off. But the nurse who took care of me all night (Kurtney) probably spelled it wrong. She was very patient and caring person I will never forget her. Thank you all the nurses and staff that helped me thru my hospital surgery and stay.

Fantastic experience: Mac Neal Hospital get your hospital together I've been coming for services for years and I never seen how bad of reviews the hospital has from new or old patients getting services at the hospital. It would be nice for change to have good services at the hospital with the patients .

Fantastic experience: I've never been to the ER here but I gave birth to my son at this hospital on 1/22/19 and the staff was amazing. I loved how attentive each nurse and doctor were to my recovery and how great everyone was with my newborn. Seems like they genuinely care about their patients.

Fantastic experience: I have used MacNeal Hospital's services numerous times since 2004 and have always had very positive experiences with the physicians, medical staff, administrative staff, chaplains, and everyone else associated with the hospital. I have had any number of surgical procedures throughout the years and, most importantly, they saved my life when I suffered a massive heart attack in 2015. My doctors are the best and I would recommend this hospital to anyone. The facilities are clean and everyone is courteous, caring, and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Started coming to this hospital since 2004 and I honestly can say I have had the best treatment ever.. Although I can have a hard time at times they always seem to find the way to accommodate with my schedule...2 weeks ago I came to the women's breast center and DEFINITELY had a great medical asst/nurse not sure of her title but she was the best. Thank u Diane for your help. Now today I'm back and so far so great. Staff is amazing here n will keep continuing to come as there patient even if I drive miles from home.

Fantastic experience: The staff was quick and efficient, friendly and caring, and were great about the treatment of their patients. I visited the emergency room due to an asthma attack after feeling sick for the past 2 days. I live in Oak Park but decided to travel the extra 2 miles to go to Berwyn because Oak Park's emergency was packed and I read bad reviews about long wait times there. Going to Berwyn was the best decision I made. Their energy room was rather busy also but they immediately took my vitals and saw how short of breath I was and how much stress was on my heart from working overtime to keep oxogen flowing. I waited in the main after for about 10 minutes before they moved me to an area where I was given a treatment for my breathing. After about 20 minutes they moved me to a private emergency room and continued treatment for my breathing and monitored my heart. They gave me an IV and diagnosed me with pneumonia. After being in that room for about 2 hours they moved me to a hospital room and treated me for the next few days. The doctors, ER staff, nurses, assistants, specialist, and even food servers and cleaning staff were all very friendly and respectful. Unlike so many other hospital employees, they actually seem to enjoy their job of helping people. I HIGHLY recommend this facility!!!!

Fantastic experience: I took my little sister last night 10/10/17 at 8 pm to get her sprained ankle checked out just to get a school note I would like to say that the RN Vivian goes above and beyond to make everyone at the E.R. Feel special and taken care for. There where kids running, she calmed them down and gave em coloring books and crayons. There wherent enough chairs? She got some more chairs. Alot of people waiting? She offered us coffe, even decaf :)) I had been there a few times before and no nurse had done that. We'll done Vivian, this hospital gets a thumbs up for hireing great workers. I had also slit my arm a couple years ago and the doctor and nurse did a great job. Sad to say I don't remember their names.

Fantastic experience: This hospital is excellent. In 2015 I suffered a stroke and was taken to MacNeal. The care that I received was excellent. I ended up being admitted and was there for 1 month. The doctors, nurses and staff were all very caring answering questions fully and explaining exactly what had happened and what the various treatments were. Since my stay at MacNeal they have built a new wing that has a state of the art therapy facility. It is fully staffed with therapists You can now receive inpatient therapy. They have also instituted a stroke survivor support group which is open to the public. You would be hard pressed to find a better hospital.

Fantastic experience: Went here to pay bills, it was REALLY clean here. It was also decorated which made me happy. My family were confused as to where to go so a VERY nice lady (cleaning lady) helped us find the correct department. This isn't my first time here but every time I come I feel happy with the service. Highly recommended. Also give cleaning people raises if possible . Very good place anyway .
