Physical Therapy at St. Luke's - North

Fantastic experience: Cannot say enough good things about the physical therapy experience at St. Luke's - North location. My son had back to back surgeries on his feet and went through physical therapy with Kasey and Will both times. They understood his limitations following surgery, took time to understand the exact nature of the surgery, and developed therapy programs designed to meet his needs and get him back to full activity. Kasey and Will truly care about their patients and challenged my son as he progressed through therapy, which is what he needed. Kasey and Will will not steer you wrong. I'm incredibly grateful my son was paired up with them, and I would request Kasey and Will if I ever found myself needing to go through physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: Been coming here... nothing but a good experience.. Ozzie.. Jessy and Erin are really good at what they do.. highly recommend them if you need hand therapy.. Nothing but the best.. couldn't be more happier...

Fantastic experience: I've been coming here off and on to treat my back and knee problems from arthritis and misalignment. These guys are wonderful. They do much more than treat the problem, they are great for the soul. They treat me and (in my opinion) all patients with a welcomed amount of caring as unique people. They explain medical and skeletal issues very well, which aids in my care. Kudos to St. Luke's North, Physical Therapy and in particular Josie and Chris.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have both needed PT treatment at different times the past 3 years. I want to sing the praises of St Luke's North PT department. Each one of the therapists and therapy assistants is super dedicated to providing support to people who have a wide array of issues. They welcome every patient by name. They explain each suggested exercise and model it and they follow a very specific protocol/plan for each individual. Both of us feel very grateful to have access to this department. My current therapists and Chris D and Josie. In the past my husband's therapists have been Jesse and Sharon. Hats off to these four, but also to all who work there, including those in reception. This place is very special. I sense that every patient that attends St Luke's PT North appreciates this place as much as we do. Bravo!

Fantastic experience: I have had back problems for a good part of my life, and I have had physical therapy from many different providers during that time. Based on that experience, I have become a big believer in and supporter of the team at St. Luke's 153 Brodhead Road Bethlehem facility. I felt OK at other places, but it seemed like I was getting kind of a "standard" treatment for the general condition. Instead, this team worked extensively with me to first figure out my special condition and problems, and then to develop a treatment plan that was the best fit. They continued to monitor my condition and change based on what was learned as the treatment proceeded. I had regular access to a DPT trained therapist who monitored and supervised everything, and even the assistant who helped regularly evaluated how things were working and adapted for the best outcome. They also encouraged me and gently held me accountable for doing my part. The whole team is very qualified and very customer focused. I travel past many physical therapists now to work with this team. Highly recommended! I am adding this addendum some 4 years later. I have recently been back to St. Luke's North Physical Therapy with another great experience. I drive all the way across town to go to this team because of the personalized and high quality of care I get. This time I am having very difficult to treat symptoms caused by severe scoliosis. They have worked on many different parts of my shoulders, arms, back, etc. trying to find where I can get the most benefit. They have now developed a routine for me to continue indefinitely at home that makes use of some equipment I already have to strengthen and maintain muscle strength and flexibility at the specific areas of my body that should give me the best outcome with my symptoms. Once again, I highly recommend them, especially to people who have challenging, non-standard situations that need a very experienced and personalized touch.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been receiving pediatric therapy here for over two years and we can’t say enough good things! The staff welcomes her with smiles and she feels at home here. Her therapists, Megan, Jen, Jess, Jenn, Adriana, Nicole and Brandi have been phenomenal. They have so much enthusiasm, patience and knowledge about their field. They’ve helped her learn and grown, but also made her love coming to therapy and spending time with them! We are so impressed and grateful!

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but awesome things to say about my PT team at St. Luke’s. Coming off of knee surgery that just stopped me in my tracks I lost hope of being able to enjoy the activities that I used to do. Will and Kacey not only built up my strength but got me to a place where I can start running again. Even after having a back injury while in my healing process, they helped to move me forward to meet my goals. I feel so lucky to have found this amazing team. They are so knowledgeable. Will and Kacey shared research, resources, and always elicited my my feelings about goals, progress and pain. Thank you both for being amazing at your job!

Fantastic experience: My main therapists was Kasey. I love working with her since she pushed me to gain my strength. The facility is set up nicely. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a physical therapy facility.

Fantastic experience: I met with Physical Therapist Nate Rice at the Brodhead Road facility twice per week for a few months. My hip injury was severe, and my state of mind was worse, but thankfully due to a well equipped facility, and Nate's knowledge and professionalism, I emerged today feeling remarkably well, physically and emotionally. Fantastic experience: Staff was very friendly when you arrive the staff would always have a great smile on their face Upbeat and positive with great energy !! Interesting with different techniques forearm stretches washing the walls up and down along with the stomach tightening exercises even if we weren't there for strengthening that area The staff members had some crazy funny jokes that would tighten your tummy very therapeutic enlightening that load for the people that were suffering with pain makes for a complete fun atmosphere staff is very knowledgeable Thank you Gabriel for the great therapy that you have given me and taking the time to try extra moves :) LORI

Fantastic experience: I finished working with Will and Kasey a couple of months ago for my knee pain. There was no magic fix - the strengthening exercises we did made all the difference. Since that time, I’ve had no recurring pain and I’m appreciative every day for what they showed me and helped me accomplish.

Fantastic experience: Michelle Foley is a terrific occupational therapist. She was always positive, yet challenging. I wish I could have continued as my insurance would not cover anymore sessions.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough wonderful things about physical therapy with Josefina and Chris. When I began here I have to honestly say I was really not interested in physical therapy. Josi and Chris have changed my whole way of thinking. I am a firm believer in physical therapy. It has done wonders for me. I never believed I could get back to this point. Not only have I improved so so gloriously physically but I also feel personally empowered. Thank you Josi and Chris.

Fantastic experience: I had shoulder surgery in Late October, '21. William Updegrove, my physical therapist made the experience a pleasure! Will and Kasey (his assistant) are very personable and made me feel comfortable while in their care. They listened to me as I explained my issues, then adjusted therapy as needed. I have to say that my experience was Excellent! Thanks to them I recovered faster than I thought it would take and I enjoy the sessions. Thank You!

Fantastic experience: The Physical Therapy department at St Luke’s North is top notch. My 78 year old mother’s team, Hillary and Darryl, have seen her through three knee surgeries and their care and attention to detail is truly a gift and what created lasting change in my mother. She can finally walk again and is enjoying her freedom and life. We are Grateful.

Fantastic experience: Will Updegrove and the staff of Physical Therapist were very Professional and informative. They took the time to explain how and why physical therapy could and would help me. Fantastic experience: After receiving a hip replacement in Oct 2020 I had medical complications that delayed my active therapy for 2 1/2 months. When therapy could start my therapists Will and Kasey asked what I most wanted to achieve. I told them to be able to walk normally without a limp and to resume playing golf as well as my limited talent would allow. I am walking almost without a limp now and getting better every day and I am playing golf again and nearing my former level (mediocre at best). Thank you both for your patience, persistence and abilities during my rehabilitation. My experience at St Luke's North Physical Therapy has been outstanding.

Fantastic experience: I used this facility recently after surgery and was extremely happy with the whole experience. My Occupational Therapist, Abbigail Walsh was very knowledgeable, flexible and personable. She helped my get back to all the activities that I enjoy. Also, I felt very safe in the facility as far as the pandemic protocols apply. I would definitely recommend the facility and the therapist to anyone who needs their services.

Fantastic experience: I first met with Will before my full knee replacement and told him of my issues with Post Polio on the opposite leg. He was knowledgeable and caring and said he would do his best to get me walking and doing what I was able to do before my knee went bad. After surgery Will and Kasey worked with me along with their interns Ashley and Yui. They ALL kept me motivated even when I seemed not to be progressing! They told me that I was doing very well despite my misgivings! They are all caring and compassionate therapists that know their crafts. Will gave me exercises to do after my sessions were finished! I would highly recommend St Luke's physical therapy to anyone in need of therapy!

Fantastic experience: We take our son here and absolutely love the staff. They take time with us to explain everything and Erin is absolutely fantastic with my son! I was so nervous at first but my son is doing so much better with their help and I couldn't be a prouder momma!

Fantastic experience: I had a total knee replacement. A combination of hard work and my therapists pushing me resulted in the surgeon (& ME) being very pleased at my outcome. Pain did not elude me, but the PT's were compassionate!

Fantastic experience: Will and Kasey were wonderful! I came to physical therapy at St. Luke's North with painful arthritis in a joint. Will developed a thorough exercise program for me, on which I worked together with Will and Kasey. They were both so knowledgeable, understanding, and supportive, and now, six weeks later, I feel healthier and stronger! Fantastic experience: Professional Physical Therapy staff. Sincerely cares about you as a patient. Won't push you if exercises hurt more then you can tolerate. Has a pool for aqua therapy. Pool is kept very clean. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I had vestibular therapy sessions with Sharon Ernst. Short review: She is awesome. Definitely recommend anyone with balance and dizziness issue to see her. Longer review: I had active BPPV and residual dizziness once I saw her. She fixed my BPPV by doing the right maneuvers, and also improved my residual dizziness by giving me several exercises. She is so knowledgeable and kind, and she explains all the details clearly. All in all, she is a god blessing, and I'm so happy that I found her.

Fantastic experience: My Experience with Ian and Kasey was outstanding. The Physical Therapy they gave me was so beneficial to my recovery. The sessions were well planned and helped me reach my goals. They really listened to my needs as a patient. Great Experience !

Fantastic experience: My husband and I both needed PT. I needed therapy after an injury and my husband needed it after knee surgery. Will and Kasey went above and beyond to get us back on track. My husband, who is a life long runner, thought he’d never run again after his knee surgery. Thanks to Will and Kasey, he is back to running and I am enjoying walking my dog again. They are the best!

Fantastic experience: I credit my therapists Kasey and Ian who worked with me for weeks for my quick recovery from a broken ankle and bad sprain! They were amazing! At my follow up visit the doctor said I did not need surgery and did not even need to come back!! Everyone there was pleasant and on point and I highly recommend them to anyone!!

Fantastic experience: Kasey and Hillary have done an excellent job of following the doctor's script while asking my response to the treatment and adjusting accordingly. Kasey has been crucial in strengthening my quad to the point where I no longer have knee pain(I had patella pain) and may be able to avoid surgery. At the same time, when we found through my doctors exam that I need an MRI because of meniscus issues, we adjusted the therapy to minimize stress in that area until the MRI is done. I think they are both fantastic.

Fantastic experience: Sharon and Val were the best! They worked patiently with me, gave me great advice about how to deal with Lymphedema, and set me up with the right exercises to use daily. They were professional and knowledgeable, as was other staff. The facility is clean, and everyone working there is courteous. I would recommend them to anyone who needs Lymphedema Physical Therapy, or any other physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: Started at Coordinated Health, then LVH Muhlenberg, and finally got rehabbed by Jeff Hetrick at North. So impressed I pulled my mom from LVH Muhlenberg where her broken hip rehab was going nowhere. Hillary G. Got her on track within two weeks. Best in the Valley!

Fantastic experience: My son uses the pediatric therapy. The staff is amazing and will show you how to continue helping at home. The women who help my son, he sees 4 or more, are the greatest people I have had the pleasure to meet. They show me how to help him at home and what to say to him to help him also. He is getting amazing results that I didn't think could happen as fast as it is. And I have seen many others in here being helped and moving forward with their therapies that parents couldn't believe also. If your child needs and help with sensory issues, problems with physical limitations or eating therapy I wouldn't hesitate to come here for help. The entire staff from front desk to the therapists are some of the greatest people who take the time needed to help with any problems.

Fantastic experience: I have used this facility several times after surgeries for illnesses or injuries. It is the best in the Lehigh Valley. The people are great! They are very knowledgeable and they really motivate you to achieve the best possible outcome for whatever your condition might be. HIGHLY recommended!

Fantastic experience: The therapists work with each patient to find the best path to successful patient outcomes. They talk to patient about their daily routine a develop options for the patients home exercises. They go as hard as the patient wants them to go. They are also very personable and set a very welcoming atmosphere. BTW The Cozy Corner is great too!!

Fantastic experience: Can’t say enough about my positive experience with the Physical Therapy team at St. Luke’s North - from the front office staff to all clinical team members! Kasey, in particular, is amazing - professional, knowledgable, compassionate, and patient! She offers the perfect combination of motivation and support! Fantastic experience: i had the pleasure of doing therapy for a frozen shoulder with Ian and Kasey for 3 months. While therapy is a lot of very hard work (that sometimes felt a little like torture) Ian and Kasey were there with me every step of the way! They encouraged, praised, cajoled and prodded when needed. It didn't take long when I started to feel at home there. They greet you with a smile and genuinely want to know how you are doing. They work with you and are two of the most considerate and kind people you'll ever meet. If you follow their directions, you're on your way to recovery!. I still have more therapy to do on my own but I know they're there if needed. IAN AND KASEY ARE TRULY AWESOME!!

Fantastic experience: I have worked with many of the physical therapist at St. Luke’s North (153 Brodhead Rd., Beth.) for years for multiple injuries. They are extremely efficient in addressing my injury and getting me back to my desired quality of life and activities I enjoy doing. Many of my clients have used them as well, and have always come back with raving reviews. I trust this guys and gals the most in the Lehigh Valley!!

Fantastic experience: I have been treated at this location for several conditions over a bunch of years for 2 hip replacements, a frozen shoulder, and most recently and extensively (3 mo) for compression fractures with a pinched nerve. Treatment for these last three conditions was conducted by Chris Duh. I would say that his assessment and treatment options were very effective and is very personalized. He and his assistant Josepine were warm and friendly, and I was treated with genuine concern. I would not hesitate to recommend them and this facility for your physical therapy needs. Even after treatment, we still are in touch on occasion. I still utilize some of their treatment modalities and exercises to continue to build on recovery!

Fantastic experience: Absolute welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The ladies at the desk are so nice. The two therapists I worked with are Ian and Kasey. 10/10. Such sweet people. Theres always a great conversation while getting worked out and the therapy was on point for my needs. I only had to do 4 weeks and I was back to full work thanks to Ian. Kasey subbed in a few times and was just as attentive. If I ever hurt myself again (let's hope not lol) I will make sure I have either for my personal therapist. Also I enjoyed having something to listen to or watch on the TV. It made things much easier to work out and time go faster. Thank you everyone! 10/10 all around.

Fantastic experience: Very nice therapists- they could definitely use more speech therapists.. we were wait listed for a long time. But one you are seen the staff is caring, kind & the results will speak for themselves. My son has shown tremendous improvement over just a few months. Nicole is our therapist & is excellent.
