Fantastic experience: Front desk lady's are great, my check up was great the doctor really did a through all job sent to therapy for my right knee but didn't make a appointment yet to start because I fell two days on both knees are hurting waiting to see if they get better

Fantastic experience: Found out I had bone on bone on inner compartment on right knee from another joint clinic,talked to some friends of mine that had partial knee and both hip joints replaced they recommended Midwest joint,as they were very satisfied and you wouldn’t know they had had surgery,the partial knee replacement friend recommended Dr Berend which I got a appointment with and he looked at x-rays and said I was good candidate for partial knee replacement,I had surgery the 5th ,today is the 12th day since surgery,they said everything looked good,I walked in to appointment without walker or cane ,they recommended I use cane when I’m out and about. So far so good,they know what there doing,very good doctors and surgeons. Thanks Perry

Fantastic experience: Dr. Weidenbener has been a wonderful doctor to me for almost 20 years. He has seen me for a litany of injuries, as I am not known as a graceful woman. Each time, he has listened to my long winded explanations for why I hurt and found paths to treat each issue. In my most recent interaction he also extended grace and understanding due to an injury being magnified because of a sensitive and deeply personal topic. As a woman, I can not express enough gratitude for that kindness alone. I suffered longer, needlessly, out of fear of having to explain what happened. To have him listen in that first visit since 2016, not treat me different or shut down on me...to act like the decent human being and excellent doctor that he is, meant more to me than anything I can express here in writing. I feared that with the sudden dismantling of the Bone and Joint clinic, I would lose him. I hope that Midwest Center for Joint Replacement knows how lucky they are to have him. I know that I feel extremely lucky to be able to continue to receive his care. Thank you.

He is excellent at explaining the technical stuff, pays careful attention to not causing you pain when he's checking range of motion or giving you a cortisone shot and always seems to be in an upbeat mood. Fantastic experience: Amazing staff and Dr!! My insurance was changing at the beginning of the year so they had a short amount of time to work with me as I was there for a second opinion. Guys this place was AMAZING!!!!! They got me feeling better within a few days!! I had been in severe pain for a few months. Went to a walk in clinic they did nothing. No one was taking me serious but this place did and helped me!! Within the 9 days I had gotten the correct dose of steroids that I needed for my problem and 3 THREE physical therapy appointments and may I add this is all around a holiday they did all this for me!! The dr then wanted to see me back in just 9 short days to make sure I was on the right healing track before my insurance was changing and couldn’t come there anymore :( this place was amazing and went above and beyond!! I wouldn’t go anywhere else if I needed to have to come back here I will!! Thank y’all for being such amazing people!!

Fantastic experience: I love this place. I had my hips done 2 years ago and had no problems and still don't now my knees have given me a problem. I win and they're soon much fun. They're comfortable with you. And I know what they're doing. Luckily I didn't have to have surgery on my knee. But he's made it well and now I've lived again.

Fantastic experience: Incredibly professional and friendly staff. I hadn’t seen Dr. Weidenbener in a couple of years, but was able to get an appointment quickly. He and his team took excellent care of me. Having imaging capabilities within the office saves so much time for the patient and allows the doctor to provide a recommended course of treatment immediately.

Fantastic experience: Very sore swollen ankle. Rick got me in quickly to assess. Did X-rays and then scheduled mri. Got me back in quickly to identify slight fracture and bruised bone. Prescribed treatment and three weeks later was in great shape. Professional and accurate as always.

Fantastic experience: Dr Carter was very informative and expressed genuine concern for what is a big deal to us. We didn't feel rushed and he took his time to be very clear on the procedure and what follows. Took the time to make sure all questions were addressed. His staff was just as exceptional and accomidating.

Everyone I’ve interacted with at MCJR has been caring, upbeat, friendly, and professional. Dr. Lackey took the time to answer all my questions about hip replacement. Armed with answered questions, a website full of great information, and the Surgery Reference Guide, I had the reassurance and confidence I needed - I scheduled my surgery!

Dr. Berend is by far the most thorough, down to earth, and educated physician I have interacted with! My knee replacement was flawless, and recuperation time was short! Fantastic experience: I always find Dr. Berend and his staff to be caring and thorough. Although there seems to be no"quick fixes" for my immediate issues, I always leave with suggestions/ ideas. I am somewhat discouraged right now, but I'll keep trying. I do think I'll go to a different place for PT and I will continue the warm water pool.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lackey is the best. He replaced my right knee last year. He is very professional and is genuinely concerned about your recovery progress. The staff is great, both at the office and at the surgery center. Dr. Lackey will be replacing my hip in a few weeks. Looking forward to getting some mobility back in my life.

Fantastic experience: *While there, the Office is very efficient. *Knee surgery was amazing & successful-I’m doing yoga & playing pickleball tournaments after 1 year. *Only negative: I had to call to schedule follow up appts or I don’t think I would have had them post surgery. Maybe that’s a positive?

Fantastic experience: Midwest Center did a great job with both my knee surgeries. The staff and doctors are patient focused and kind even while the operation is streamlined. Anesthesiology was perfect, I didn't feel a thing in and follow-up X-rays showed the knee prostheses to be perfectly placed. Recovery is not easy, you have to take recommended exercises and physical therapy seriously ; unfortunately I had a bad reaction to some of the drugs to take afterwards, and that delayed and extended therapy after the second surgery. No issues after the first surgery. Don't expect your two knee surgeries to be exactly the same. And if have a heads up in what drugs you might be allergic to, that will be useful.

Fantastic experience: I like the docs. Everyone is super nice. My only comment is that I wish you would inform patients of ALL types of rehab options rather than just what insurance will cover. I found out later about some icing options that are much more helpful. What about some of the machines like the X10 that are out there that can help with motion even if the scientific evidence might not support the claims. Bottom line inform your patients more than just what insurance would cover. Let me make the choices off of the information I have. Time is limited somewhat in rehab.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit: Upon entry, the office is very colorful and uplifting! From the front desk, to X-ray, to Nurse then seeing Dr. Lackey….all very punctual, polite, pleasant and professional. The Nurse and Dr. patiently answered all my and my daughters questions. We did not feel rushed. I felt comfortable enough to trust Dr. Lackey to perform my upcoming Knee Replacement.

Fantastic experience: I forgot to remind Dr Carter that I am a Jehovah Witness and will not accept blood during my knee replacement operation scheduled for February 16, 3023 at St. Francis Hospital. The reason I have chosen Dr Carter is because he is a good doctor. Jacqueline Macek

Fantastic experience: The office runs like clockwork. Very efficient and everyone is kind, caring and friendly. Dr Berend answered all my questions in great detail and made me feel secure in my decision for joint replacement. I can highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: Upon arrival I was greeted by the friendly staff and directed to the designated waiting area where i met promptly at my appointment time. The doctor visit was very informative. Doctor Berend was able to answer all my questions and provided copies of my updated X-Rays via email. I'm very satisfied with the Midwest Center for Joint Replacement's service and my recovery so far on on my partial joint replacement.

Fantastic experience: The wait was extremely SHORT. My X-rays were taken and I saw Dr. Berend very quickly after that. He always puts me at ease and answers every question thoroughly. The new Bloomington facility is fantastic, as well; it’s bright and the space for patients is very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and respectful. I highly recommend Dr. Berend.
