Cypress Point provides comprehensive services, including rehabilitation and skilled nursing, in a warm, home-like environment.
Cypress Point Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, LLC is conveniently located on the corner of Airline Highway and Wemple Road, just minutes away from Willis Knighton Bossier and numerous doctors’ offices and the offices of other health care professionals. The warm and friendly atmosphere experienced here reflects the long tradition of quality care that was begun many years ago by Ted and Marjorie Price … a tradition based upon our belief that what counts the most in a nursing facility is resident care.
At Cypress Point, we know that quality resident care is no accident. It is the result of a team of professionals working together and committed to providing the very best in quality care, with a goal of constant improvement. Our facility is one of Louisiana’s most innovative leaders in quality long term care and is continually working to upgrade and improve its services. This innovative spirit is evidenced by being one of the first facilities in our area to have an in-house nurse practitioner, offering a special “Rehab to Home” program that we call “Renaissance at Cypress Point,” leading our profession in electronic medical records or simply adding computer systems that are physically interactive and mentally engaging for our residents. Our facility is one of the grandest and most modern in the entire Gulf South, and is the culmination of over 20 years of planning and dreaming.
Amenities include all private rooms with kitchenettes and private baths, arts and crafts areas, state-of-the-art rehabilitation and fitness gym, beautiful in-house chapel with leaded stained glass, the “Liberators” in-house movie cinema, and the “Bombshell” beauty salon. You will find Cypress Point to be very spacious, yet cozy, with multiple day rooms and atriums ideal for a quiet afternoon show, a lively LSU ballgame, or an evening of cards or dominoes with friends. Sitting on over ten landscaped acres, our outdoor areas include elevated garden beds where our residents can participate in gardening or simply relax and enjoy the outdoors.
Our rehabilitation programs, including physical, speech, and occupational therapy, offer our residents the opportunity of returning to their greatest degree of independence with many able to return to their own homes. Our Physical Therapists help restore the range of motion, balance, strength, coordination, and functional mobility that allows our patients to improve the quality of their lives. Our Speech Therapists evaluate and rehabilitate swallowing disorders, language, speech, written and spoken verbal communication and verbal memory problems. Our Occupational Therapy team evaluates and provides training in activities of daily living such as feeding, dressing, bathing, and meal preparation. At Cypress Point, we are committed to Improving Quality of Life.

Cypress Point Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, LLC: Reviews

Fantastic experience: Our rehab experience was very good at Cypress Point. All staff members were friendly, helpful and seem to really care about the patient. I would recommend Cypress Point for rehab.
Fantastic experience: Good caring staff , friendly atmosphere. Patient care is good.
Fantastic experience: My wife needed to be here for some months. She had a stroke and had Parkinson’s. She came to facility unable to eat or walk, the therapy team went above and beyond even bring a new innovative machine that she was able to train and walk on! She walked for the first time in 3 years, and I got to spend so much time with her as well as my daughter and grandkids. The staff made sure i got to eat while there and gave me pointers to take care of her at home. My wife had no skin issues but had a risk because of her movement and nutrition so the administrator worked with nursing to prevent any wounds with a specialized mattress and plan. She never got any problems the whole 4 months of being there. There were issues but ultimately the staff that saw her day to day face to face really cared. She would have never got such great therapy anywhere else!!!! Some of the great CNAs included Verda, Takisha, and Valerie. The business office manager, Tiffany, took time explaining insurance stuff to me even though it was Greek before she was able to help. I also can’t say enough kind words about a 3-11 nurse named Wanda who treated my wife with kindness and medicines and encouraging words to keep trying and hugs. Cashundra a nurse there during the day made my wife laugh and they had a special friendship. This was like family in a difficult time. I even walked in a couple times as a nurse Mary was praying with my wife. Truth be told, If this was possible in an older building, I bet the new building on Wimple Road will be glorious!
Fantastic experience: Cypress Point Nursing & Rehabilitation Staff is amazing. They genuinely care about my mother. The staff calls weekly with positive updates. My mother enjoys the staff and their attentive service. The facility is clean and smells wonderful. The staff is always asking is there anything else we can do to make you and your loved ones feel comfortable. I've never seen customer service at its finest. If you want to make sure your loved ones are properly taken care of, please give Cypress Point a chance!! They are the best and they go above and beyond the call of duty for residents and family.
Fantastic experience: Incredible friendly atmosphere full of caring people
Fantastic experience: I disagree w the negative comments made. I am a retired nurse that has been on both sides. The caregiver as well as my Mom being placed in a nursing home. All I have to say is that elderly people are like children. And " THINGS" are going to happen. We don't live in a perfect world and most of the time , FAMILIES don't have a clue what all the staff does for these people. My heart goes out to ALL CAREGIVERS, BECAUSE IT IS A " THANKLESS JOB"! There is no way to PLEASE EVERYONE, AND PERSONALLY I THINK THOSE WHO ARE SO UNHAPPY NEED TO PUT ON A SCRUB SUIT AND GET READY FOR A " RUDE AWAKENING"! SO TO THOSE WHO ARE SOOOO DISSATISFIED, KEEP YOUR LOVED ONE AT HOME AND TAKE CARE OF THEM YOURSELF !!! YOU WILL BE BEGGING FOR HELP, I PROMISE !!!! GIVE CAREGIVERS PRAISE AND EMPATHY FOR WHAT " HELL" THEY GO THROUGH ON A DAILY BASIS. THANK GOD FOR ALL CAREGIVERS !!!
Fantastic experience: I’ve worked here through agency many times between 2016-2018 and while it may not be much to look at, the atmosphere is much like a large family. While a few residents have family that check in and care for them, A lot of the residents do not and the aids, nurses and even housekeeping look after them as they would their own. There’s a lot of love in this facility and I very much enjoyed getting to be a small part of it when I picked up shifts there. Having said that, nobody gets the care and attention they would get if they were at home so if that is what is expected I’d agree with another comment I saw and try your best to keep them home and care for them if at all possible.
Fantastic experience: Cypress Point Nursing & Rehab is a truly wonderful place to work. I have been employed with Cypress Point for almost a year and the staff is amazing to work with and the care that the residents receive is beyond amazing. Everyone at Cypress Point is so welcoming, you feel like family.
