Fantastic experience: Dr Closson and the Physician Assistants are marvelous. They all listen, are empathetic, and come up with excellent plans to ease a person's suffering because of pain. They use a multi-faceted approach to treating pain. In my case it included medications that addressed my joints, neck, and muscle spasm problems. The also encouraged me to try acupuncture and when that didn't work Dr Closson advised Facet Joint injections, which were fabulously successful. That led to multiple Rhizotomies that provided long-term relief from the spine pain and the intense muscle spasms that I suffered. With all I had going on, Dr Closson and his staff were able to help me in a significant way. They improved my quality of life tremendously. They care, from the top doc right down to the great people working the front desk. Sometimes things are busy though I still received unhurried, quality care. That takes time. Once I saw people who had arrived after me being called in. I went to the front desk window and politely let them know that I thought I'd been forgotten or missed. Sure enough, that's what happened. They corrected that on the spot and I was the next person brought in. Common sense and manners will get you there every time. I've since moved out of state but I'm still grateful for the excellent care I was provided by Everybody there.

Fantastic experience: I just saw Dr. Closson for pretty severe pain that just started in my lower back that radiates down my legs. He was so patient and kind with me, explaining what was going on and what procedures he offered that could help. He is very knowledgeable AND has an amazing bedside manner. The office staff and nurses are also extremely warm and welcoming. The office is bright and very nice and comfortable. I am a business owner and recognize and appreciate all the hard work that goes into such a well run business. I am so grateful that I felt heard and that I left with a game plan to getting my pain under control. Thank you again for everything!!

Fantastic experience: “Everyone” always has a smile to share when I enter the door until the time I leave. I’m always treated as though I’m very much welcome and the only patient they have. I am invariably treated in a courteous and respectful manner at the Bowie facility. Dr. Closson is the epitome of professionalism. He is consistently compassionate and competent when performing my treatments. He lets me know what and when he is about to do something related to my procedure. This helps me to prepare myself for what is about to happen. At any rate, I am more than propitious that I found the National Spine & Pain Center in Bowie. You will find your experience gratifying if you attend this location.

He was very patient explaining to me what I needed and wanted to know. I left the visit feeling like and knowing I chose the right doctor . Fantastic experience: I was apprehensive about going to get any procedure done due to the Coronavirus pandemic. I like that they listened to my concerns and addressed them and made me feel comfortable. From the time I stepped in the surgery center until I finished my procedure, the staff was professional and welcoming. The facility was clean and all the virus protocols were adhered to. Now I can move forward with confidence with other injections.

Fantastic experience: Spine and Pain in Bowie, Maryland, has a very professional, and caring staff. Dr. Closson listened to my concerns, help relieve my concerns. His suggested treatment plan has helped to relieve my most severe, chronic pain. I shall continue to follow his lead.

Fantastic experience: Went to the Bowie office today got the first time. It was awesome. A stark difference from the cold Fairfax office. They even had music playing. Most importantly they listened and didn’t make you feel like you’re stupid or really need to be somewhere else. They have a doctor who listens to his patients and who understands that the staff represents the doctor and the office when it comes to staff dealing with patients. This includes the MAs as well. They have awesome phone service and their phones are answered during office hours.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to National Spine and Pain in Bowie for three years and wouldn't go any place else. I honestly don't think anyone could do a better job with my pain management. They help me to cope and provide me with a minimal amount of hydrocodone only after testing my DNA to ensure I wouldn't misuse the drug. I love all the staff I've come in contact with and wouldn't trade them for anything.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Closson and his female physician assistant are amazing! He literally takes the time to listen and ask questions about the location of pain, current improvement as well as have a great bedside manner. Quinton and Angie try to address and answer questions promptly and if they don’t know they won’t hesitate to ask someone and call me back. My pain has been terrible but is being managed greatly and I’m hopeful in the near future once my surgery is approved I’ll be back up and running and these guys won’t have to see my face so much lol. Although they do get busy I Definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: Doctors and staff are great.....I've never had a bad experience...I have white coat syndrome real bad and Dr. Closson and his staff always make me.feel at ease when I'm there....even during my procedures he talks me through the whole thing...tells me exactly what he is doing whike he is doing it...I wouldn't go anywhere where else....they do an excellent job

Fantastic experience: I can say before I came here I was not able to work, go shopping I could barely walk the pain was so bad in my back, I met Dr Closson and Dr Harris I can tell you they are extremely caring and thoughtful and they know pain! Dr Closson is like a miracle man with the injections!! One time My foot and leg were asleep literally 24/7 at least 2 months! I got an injection for that and by the time I got home my foot and leg were not asleep it was the greatest feeling ever!! The front office staff are very compassionate and extremely kind and polite your not just a number to them,I would recommend coming here and in fact I have, everyone is VERY knowledgeable and do all they can to help make your life better!

Fantastic experience: I’ve probably been a patient at the Bowie Pain Mgmt for ten years or more. All staff are both professional and friendly. The doctors take care and will discuss any issues of concern to you. If pain meds are administered, doctors work with you to tweak them to fit your specific needs. Fantastic experience: This was our second experience with this establishment. Any kind of medical / surgical procedure can cause one all kinds of anxiety. The staff in strives to put patients at ease. That went a long way to alleviating any fear and anxiety one brings with them.

Fantastic experience: I recommend the national spine and pain center. For several reason. The kindness, concern about you, the caring and the outstanding service you receive there. They schedule your appt. Around tour schedule. But for most of all get me to a level with the medications that i can tolerate my pain. I'm not pain free nor will I be. They are very strict, but very good at what they do. I pain now with the meds. Is a life saver, to me. And just wanted to say thank you from the front desk, the lady that take your blood pressure and to the doctors especially Mrs. Harrison. Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this place ! Let me say I am not the easiest patient in the world and I am sure there is more going on with me then just my neuropathy and busted discs and narrowing spine etc but Dr Closson makes me comfortable and the front desk makes feel like I belong there like I'm not a problem to them. I don't feel like they look at me like ",oh great here comes that lady again" it's nice to know that I'm welcome there and that I can be there without being judged or looked at like just another "chart" they know me. They want to help. Go there get to know them , let them get to know you above all be honest and they will help you.
