Longevity Physical Therapy- Bressi Ranch

Fantastic experience: I have been well pleased with each of the staff members assisting me, beginning with my initial contact by Kayla who was most patient and thorough gathering personal information. Each Physical Therapist, Lisa, Krista and Tori have listened and incorporated exercises to meet my mobility and balance issues. They have listened well, with concern and genuine understanding to the other constraints I have. The environment is uplifting, and the personal attention is welcoming, gracious, and productive.

Fantastic experience: Longevity Physical Therapy puts the longevity into physical therapy I’m good at breaking myself. Like, REALLY good. If there’s a way to throw out my back, injure my shoulder, or tweak my knee quite badly, I will. I suppose it comes with the job, as I tend to run around for long periods of time carrying camera equipment anywhere and everywhere. I’ll do anything, but my body doesn’t always agree to those terms. Oh, and if I’ve managed to avoid all of those things, there’s always my pesky little brain tumor that causes vestibular issues or my rheumatic fever to contend with. Enter Longevity physical therapy. I was referred to them a number of years ago by my then and current neurologist, and in more recent years my ENT also, and for good reason. My time with them goes back to 2017 when my brain tumor was first discovered, and it is no exaggeration to say that they proved to be an absolute life-changer. My first visit (as yours will most likely be) runs for a full hour, where a full set of diagnostics are done by your PT to figure out exactly what is going on so that they can both give their own diagnosis of the issue at hand and help to develop a treatment plan based on what you need. For me that first time around, I needed to learn how to balance again, because I could barely remain upright, and required the constant use of my wheelchair at the time in order to prevent causing serious damage to myself. I’d also grown weak, which brings me to my next point… Longevity looks at all of the needs surrounding your condition. For me it has meant establishing a long-running relationship with the staff there, but for me personally the therapist I have returned to again and again is Kristen, the now clinic director for the San Marcos branch. She and I hit it off immediately when I first saw her, although that was a time or two down the line. She has proven to be amazing time and time again, and has patiently worked through restoring my strength safely for getting back to work while continuing to work on my balance. Every once in a while something will come along to through it out of whack, whether its another illness or head injury, but they have been there for me to help me get back on my feet (literally) while also continuing to make me feel like a human being. I cannot recommend Longevity highly enough, because from the facilities to the staff, from the care you receive to the results that you see, everything has been far better and far greater than I could have ever hoped for. And yes, I'm going to cross post this on the San Marcos branch because both have taken such amazingly-good care of me!

Fantastic experience: I wish I could give them more stars because they deserve it. Taryn and Kevin customized a rehabilitation program for my post-surgical shoulder so that I could play basketball again. In 6 months, I nearly have all my range of motion and I’m honestly stronger than I was pre-surgery. I now have a workout plan that I can follow for the rest of my life. And I’m back out on the court without pain. These folks are damn good at what they do.

Fantastic experience: My Doctor recommended Longevity for pre and Post hip replacement. I am very pleased with the outcomes. The staff is friendly, never rushed and they listen. They take the time to know you and your goals. They with you during the entire appointment to ensure you’re performing correctly.

She listened carefully to my concerns and feedback, and provided me with customized exercises during our sessions. She also sent me videos of those routines to work on at home. Fantastic experience: I came to Longevity for rehab following a total knee replacement. Over the course of treatment, I met with a few different therapists but JP was my main therapist. JP helped me set up a plan of stretches and exercises to get me back to enjoying the activities I enjoy most. He definitely went above and beyond with helping me with some special mobility issues related to getting a new puppy. Followed quickly with an injury to my ankle/calf that sort of took the wind out of my rehab sails. We worked together to get back on my feet and to the original order of business - rehabbing that knee. I feel confident in my daily life that I can do all the things I want to do. I now seek out stairs instead of looking for a ramp or elevator. I'm looking forward to finishing a hike I was unable to complete prior to surgery. Thank you JP and all the therapists and staff.

Fantastic experience: I have gone to Longevity Physical Therapy in Bressi Ranch intermittently for approximately five years with three separate orthopedic issues, two of which were post surgery. Longevity was recommended to me by a local, highly respected, orthopedic surgeon. Their entire staff is fantastic! All of their physical therapists are exceptionally trained and skilled in their strong compassion to heal. It is very apparent they are all passionate about their chosen occupation. They are personable, considerate, respectful, and are motivational. Knowing there are numerous physical therapy clinics to choose from locally, I highly recommend Longevity Physical Therapy.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Longevity are great to work with. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Tori Wood and Dr. JP Murcia. Both were creative in adding different exercises as I progressed. Paired with the home care plan that was developed for me I was able to achieve positive results. In addition to having exceptional staff members what sets Longevity apart is that you work directly with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who is able to change the routine as needed.

Fantastic experience: I had a total knee replacement in late February 2024. I started physical therapy with Tori at Longevity Physical Therapy 4 days after surgery. She was fantastic! She is knowledgeable, professional, and an excellent physical therapist. My goal was to be able to play pickleball once again. That goal has been achieved! I highly recommend Longevity PT, all of the employees are very professional and nice people, and I especially recommend Tori as your physical therapist.

Fantastic experience: I came in with some bad lower back pain where after any type of physical activity, things as simple as bending down to tie my shoe was giving me pain. I went into the Longevity Bressi location and after a month and a half I am feeling ten times better. I still have a little bit to go but am sticking with the stretching regiment they gave me and I am progressing nicely. Special thanks to JP Murcia and Jolene Rice, who were the two DPT’s that helped me. They were both very attentive to what was bothering me and both are just overall great people and a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely recommend Longevity PT to anyone that is trying to get over an injury or pain issues.

Fantastic experience: Longevity has been my go-to for PT ever since Brett helped me years ago. I’ve just finished several months working with Kristen this time and highly recommend her as well! I have a partially detached hamstring and have been avoiding being as active as I’m used to in fear of completely tearing it. Kristen is super knowledgeable and has shown a genuine interest in seeing me progress. She was careful to listen when we started to figure out what kind of plan would work for me. I’ve put the work in on my own and I’m now stronger than when I started. I’ve got my confidence back as well as the knowledge and tools to continue to strengthen going forward and avoid injury. Fantastic experience: I have been going to longevity on Loker Ave in Carlsbad for about 5 weeks. I honestly can't believe that I have made so much progress in such a short time. I have to credit Longevity and my physical therapist, JP Murcia. He is phenomenal. I have quite a few issues: I'm rehabbing from a very major back surgery, and I had to walk with a cane when I first got there because my knees were so weak and painful. JP has gotten me to the point where I'm no longer using the cane, I'm able to get on the treadmill and I feel confident in my body again. JP is very encouraging and kind, yet he makes sure to challenge me so that I continue to make progress without injuring myself. I highly recommend both longevity and JP. The receptionist staff are also wonderful, especially Christine. I have been getting physical therapy at Longevity at Bressi Ranch for 10 months. This is my second review. My physical therapist is JP Murcia. I continue to feel like Longevity and JP are the best things that have happened to me. When I first started, I was recuperating from major back surgery and was still using a cane. Mobility was really an issue. With JP’s skill and gentle encouragement, I am done with physical therapy and transitioning to a personal trainer. JP is absolutely amazing! He is kind and so encouraging and he really knows his stuff. With him, I have made amazing progress without hurting myself in any way. When I told him that I wanted to transition to a personal trainer, he put the word out and found one for me! He then spoke to the personal trainer on several occasions to be sure that the personal trainer understood my needs and situation. Who does that? JP is so dedicated to his clients! I would not hesitate in the least to recommend JP Murcia and Longevity. The ladies at the front desk are also very welcoming and kind. A shout out to Christine, Corrie, Kaela and Cailin! Thank you JP for giving me back my mobility!!

Fantastic experience: I had the good fortune of working with Tori Wood, Physical Therapist, DPT, for 3 months. In her staff bio, Tori stated she was passionate about building connections with her patients, while working together….and she meant it! I felt we were a team, working toward the goals we set during my preliminary evaluation. Tori patiently showed me new and better exercises to perform and how I could do many of them at home. She’s really the best! I also appreciated the front desk associates, who were always professional and friendly. They were particularly helpful scheduling my appointments. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Longevity Physical therapy for my hip and knee issues. They have the smartest and most brilliant DPTs I have ever worked with. Working with JP and Brandon has been very helpful in my healing journey. They are, to me, human body engineers! They have amazing knowledge of the mechanics of how the body moves. They really listen to me also ! They ask pertinent questions in order to determine exactly what's going on with my 73 yr old joints! I have had the pleasure of working with Chad and Jolene also. Fantastic experience: The staff at Longevity are competent and nice - a good combination! I worked with two PTs (primarily JP, and also Brandon) who both provided great guidance based on discussion and understanding of my symptoms. And I really like the open concept space with the large open door in the back to provide light and healthy air circulation. The front desk staff are friendly, responsive, and on top of every detail. An enjoyable experience all-around. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: 2 individuals Casey Waller and Rachel Roesgen from LONGEVITY PHYSICAL THERAPY. THE COMPANY WAS A BREEZE TO DEAL WITH. THE PTs’ were stupendous ! I’ve know Casey before and after my Full with supraspinatus tendon tear and bicep tenodesis. Four weeks following surgery Casey worked with me 2x/week. Always asking how I’m felling, any pain, discomfort, always, like a nag!!! He stretched, manipulated me ever so gently as to not damage me and slowly restored 95% of my ROM. What a PRO!!!!!! 6-8 weeks my surgeon had be back off the 5# and 10# weights for 5 weeks as a risk of rehear . CASEY Was so emphatic, and knowledgeable he “backed me off” working my ego just right as i wanted to go full speed ahead. (Maturity !!) I belonged to a Global facebook site for “shoulder surgery” and the stories of aggressive, overactive PT’s caused numerous paintings to need another surgery. That’s how valuable it is to find the right PT for you.My second 5 months were with Rachel. Mostly 2x/week then 1x week. She took over from Casey and was sacked to get me stronger in my surgical arm.What a PRO. Gently then harder, harder, and harder to the point my previously weak LH arm is now quality stonger than my dominant RH. She has the innate ability to truly “isolate” one muscle/muscle group and work it until it shakes/quivers. I took the lessons home and worked them every 2 days. I have so much appreciation, for the knowledge, skill, empathy and learned experience for these two Physical Therapist. Beware!!, Bust trust these 2 explicitly as well as the company. I get personalized sessions with the best professional therapists I have ever worked with - Jolene Rice, and Tori Wood, plus great assistants Jordan and Keira. Therapeutic equipment includes exercise cages and the AlterG treadmill. I really look forward to my sessions at Longevity, where hard work is always rewarded with progress.

Fantastic experience: I just finished a few months of therapy on my wrist with Kristen. Highly recommend her and this location. She was very personable and knowledgeable, as well as accommodating with my requests to keep the garage door open for ventilation and to wear a KN95 for health reasons.

Fantastic experience: Brandon is the best! I had a volleyball injury and he made sure I was ready to go back. We did strength training, volleyball drills, and agility training. I was worried I would be scared to get back on the court but with all the physical therapy I did with Brandon, I was ready. I highly recommend Brandon if you want to get back to your sport after an injury.

Fantastic experience: I have gotten treatment at Longevity Bressi Ranch for various issues and would not go anywhere else. The facility is large and very well equipped. From the front desk to the PTs the staff are warm and customer oriented. At different times my primary PTs were Jolene, Kristen, and Rachel and all were excellent.

I came to treat some tension headaches/TMJ issues that I’ve been dealing with for years and ever since coming my headaches are basically gone. Fantastic experience: I’ve come here before for my knee replacement rehab. I trusted them so much with my care that I came back but this time for my ankle. I have been placed with Brandon. Brandon is very professional, knowledgeable and funny. He isn’t afraid to get in there and manipulate the ankle and hip to make everything come together and work for me. Brandon listens and pays attention. As I get better Brandon isn’t afraid to challenge me. I’m always surprised as I can actually do it. He believes in me. I can feel and see myself improving especially when I listen to him. I can also see others (we are schedule right after each other on the same days) also improve. I’ve seen Brandon at two locations (here in Carlsbad and in La Costa). Both locations are nice and have the equipment you need to get better. I also love that Longevity offers night appointments, this way when I’m off after 5pm I can still make it to therapy. It’s a win-win. Corey up front is also very helpful and so is the aid Jordan. Thanks again for taking care of me Team Longevity Carlsbad. Happy New Year!!! 10 months ago: Rachel Oakley is amazing! The staff here is very friendly, personable and helpful. Every time I leave after therapy I feel better. My knee flexion is getting better and at each visit we add new exercises and stretches. Fantastic experience: Tori did a great job getting me back on the mend from an ankle injury. She took a good gradual approach to having me build enough strength while the tendons gradually healed. She also discovered that I could really benefit from working on better balance through additional strength exercises.

Fantastic experience: I came here due to refers from my doctor after been diagnosed with patellar femoral pain syndrome. When i went in, i was first impressed with the building and installations. Its big enough that when other appointments are going on around you; you are not on anyones space or hearing someone else’s conversation. And then got to meet Kristen she took me to recovery; showed me how to strengthen my muscles but also stretched them. I have proudly say today was my “graduation” and I’m going back to doing exercises without pain after!

Fantastic experience: Currently receiving physical therapy for a left total knee replacement and have the amazing JP Murcia as my therapist. He listens to my concerns and complaints; if I'm having trouble with an exercise he modifies it or gives me a different one that performs the same function. I had my right knee replaced 8 years ago but did not receive the thorough therapy for it as I am now so JP is incorporating exercises that help strengthen both knees. I was able to kneel for the first time in over 8 years! I've had a lot of therapy over time and the therapists have been adequate, however JP obviously enjoys his job and takes the therapy to a higher level, making it almost fun!

Fantastic experience: I selected Longevity Physical Therapy based upon the recommendation of my chiropractor who was treating me for sciatica. I went to the well maintained, spacious Bressi Ranch location. The office staff there is efficient, friendly and like Cheers they always know my name. I was assigned to Victoria Wood, PT, DPT. Tori is a terrific therapist. She keeps copious notes and is very concerned about her patients’ progress. I’m happy to say I’m ready to leave physical therapy. I highly recommend Longevity so much that my husband is going to be treated for his tennis elbow there. Oh yeah, a shout out to all the great aides too.

Fantastic experience: I saw three different physical therapists and received excellent care while at Longevity Physical Therapy. Because the physical therapy team works collaboratively, sharing each sessions notes, you are assured to have continuity of care. Each therapist was friendly and professional and I immediately felt at home at the Bressi Ranch location. I have had a huge improvement in my shoulder mobility after only two weeks and am very happy that my PCP referred me to Longevity Physical Therapy.

Fantastic experience: After a freak accident, I lost all function of my toe. Post surgery to fix it, I had to completely re-learn how to walk and use my foot. I was lucky enough to get Tori as my trainer and after a few months of her hard work and patience, I am walking and running again! I can’t express how grateful I am for the time she put in and the reassurance she gave me all along the way. Her knowledge and creativity in coming up with exercises and warmups specific to my needs helped me progress so quickly, I can’t imagine where I’d be now without her. I 100% recommend Longevity. The ladies up front were always kind and welcoming when I’d come in for an appointment and the other assistants and trainers/therapists I interacted with were always nice. And I 250% recommend Tori! Fantastic experience: I began to work with Chad shortly after my Total Knee Replacement surgery. I have worked with several physical therapists over the years for various injuries, but never one as thorough as Chad. From the beginning, he has guided me to setting goals for my recovery, strength and mobility and reevaluated with me at each visit. He explains things thoroughly and helps me to see the big picture. Chad is very encouraging and also helps me to see the small goals met along the way to full recovery. One of the greatest strengths of Longevity is that the entire visit is spent directly with the PT. Also, their facility is very open-air. I highly recommend Chad and Longevity!

Además que el habla español y pudo comprender mis complicaciones Perfecto. Hoy llevo casi 12 secciones en aprox 1y medio meses y estoy mucho mejor. Al llegar yo era candidata a cirujia de plantar Fasitis y ahorita estoy sin dolor y caminando ya cadi sin la bota ortopédica mejor. Porfavor no dudes en buscar este sitio te lo recomendó mucho. He explained the MRI terminology results in a way i can understand and how the PT treatment plan would address the diagnosis. This gave me the confidence i needed to keep working on the recovery. Fantastic experience: In the 10 years following an auto vs truck collision, I have seen several different physical therapists at recuperation centers and local offices. Longevity is my choice for the best in the area. The front office is cheerful, the workout space is clean with modern equipment, and the Therapists work full time with the clients. They do not hand you off to a junior assistant. In my experience, Chad has provided leg strength and balance improvements that allow me to almost double my workout duration.

Fantastic experience: I have been working with Brandon for several weeks now and he has been nothing but amazing! From the very first visit, Brandon has been a great listener and exudes confidence in being able to help me and spot the issues, and what needs to be done. He not only has a wonderful personality but is also very good at providing compliments and encouragement and challenges me to appropriately push myself to my limits so that I can and do progress. Brandon is a fantastic physical therapist in all aspects, and I look forward and enjoy my sessions with him!

Fantastic experience: I recently received physical therapy for about 2 months for knee replacement at Longevity - Bressi Ranch. I highly recommend Longevity and in particular JP Murcia who took me from barely walking to normal movement. He is knowledgeable, professional, encouraging, kind, and I thank him for all he did to get me back to an active life.

Fantastic experience: I was doing physical therapy through a different company and told my physician that I wanted to switch to Longevity Bressi Ranch. I had such a wonderful experience with Longevity in their previous Carlsbad location several years ago, I knew that Longevity offered the level of supervision, scientific thinking and willingness to keep tailoring my plan which I needed. I switched to Longevity Bressi Ranch, have been teamed up with JP Murcia as my physical therapist, and it was the absolutely right decision. Even my physician agrees. Unlike some PT experiences I've had with other providers, JP and Longevity allow me to work with the same senior physical therapist without being handed off to assistants for assessment or supervision. I'm fine with a PT aide monitoring me as I'm doing a particular exercise, but I like the more seasoned physical therapist to decide the big picture of my treatment and really get to know me. JP always takes time for me to give feedback on how I did between visits, what issues/areas of the body I feel still need work, and then tailors and tweaks the regimen to keep me progressing while feeling more comfortable. He does thorough reassessments periodically so that he, I and insurance know quantitatively how much I've improved. The Longevity front desk staff is so professional, friendly and helpful. I appreciate the email appointment reminders, print-outs of upcoming appointments if desired, and discussions of the status of my insurance approval. You'd think this would be standard practice for all physical therapy facilities, but it often is not. The Bressi Ranch facility is well-organized, cheerful, contemporary and provides a very pleasant environment.

Fantastic experience: In July 2022 my left knee suddenly became seriously painful, preventing me from everyday activities. It was diagnosed as muscular, so I was sent to Longevity. I graduated in December, fully recovered. I am very satisfied with all the help and support I got from Longevity and, especially, Eric Schulte.

Fantastic experience: I was referred for follow-up care, specifically to Longevity, by Ian Purcell, MD, who is the premier specialist in San Diego for vestibular (balance and dizziness) disorders. I didn't know there was specific physical therapy to help with it. I was fortunate to have Eric Schulte, at Longevity, show me eye and simple body movements to help my vestibular dysfunction. After 3 weeks, all my symptoms of imbalance resolved. I am particularly grateful for the expertise by Longevity and Eric Schulte, whose knowledge and professionalism are superior. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Greatest physical therapy and therapists in all of SD! As someone whose had 5 surgeries on the same knee and going to countless different physical therapies this has been the only one that I have found that always goes the extra mile for their clients. Most pt’s the therapist has 2-3 clients at once never really getting a chance to focus solely on you. At longevity you get a full 1 on 1 experience for your whole visit and icing after your sessions as well as getting you massaged out prior to starting your workouts. Best of the best here!

The facility is clean, the front staff/scheduling is outstanding and the Physical Therapists are all great. Fantastic experience: Longevity Physical Therapy is hands down the best PT office I've been to. The staff is caring and compassionate, and they really know their stuff. Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about the entire team at the Bressi Ranch branch of Longevity Physical Therapy. I’ve experienced numerous Physical Therapy locations throughout the country and have never experienced one as professional as this one. Not only are the therapists top-notch and spend quality time with their clients but the front desk is just as professional. Fantastic experience: The physical therapists at Longevity are amazing. I went from being unable to walk more than 5 minutes to walking as much as I like and doing deadlifts in about 5 months. I’m loving the progress. I’ve met with multiple PTs there and each has built a program specific to my needs. They constantly check in to see if what they suggest is working and are always willing to adjust to something new if it isn’t. Highly recommend Longevity.

Fantastic experience: At the end of my home health physical therapy following my March 30 hip replacement, my therapist Heather Rogers highly recommended Longevity PT Bressi Ranch. I’m so glad that she did—what a wonderful team of young professionals who are compassionate and friendly and who really listen to their patients. The environment is a magical combination of hard work and fun, and there are patients of all ages at various stages of recovery. Eric Schulte was my personal therapist, and he was there for me from initial assessment throughout the six weeks of my therapy. I was challenged, encouraged, and given endless support as he introduced increasingly more difficult exercises as I gained strength and flexibility. Eric even printed photos of my exercises with clear instructions and showed me how to modify using a chair, stairway, and ottoman so that I could do the exercises at home. He shared delight in my accomplishments-- from driving (!) making sure that I was getting into and out of my car using safe body mechanics-- to checking with me both before and after I returned to the gym—offering precautions to ensure that I was progressing safely. Not only is Eric an excellent therapist, he is also kind and has a great sense of humor. Win-win. I am a compliant and motivated patient; I was able to return to work even earlier than anticipated! Woo hoo! Kudos also to Kevin and Chad who filled in during Eric’s absence. They brought the same winning combination of professionalism, encouragement, and variety (and humor, too) that kept me on track. The objective of recovery remained constant. I could arrive early knowing just what to do to warm up, but then it was time to get to work and work hard. Eric sent me the link for the bands and for the slant I used at Longevity, and I have incorporated them into my personal home regimen. Chad introduced a couple of movements that really accelerated my improvement in balance. Whenever I receive compliments on my excellent outcome, (I had two postponements in my surgery due to Covid so I was really overdue) I always sing Longevity praises and express my appreciation for their help in my road to recovery—and most especially to Eric Schulte.
