Positive experience: I'm a resident of V.G.Of.B for 3years is a good place to recover,the staff makes the difference between a Nursing Home ???? and outside of the world ???? Thanks to Station 2 and Station North.????‍????????????

Positive experience: My sister spent the last four years of her life at Village Green of Bristol. At the time of her admission, Village Green was one of the two facilities in Connecticut that accepted patients who required ventilator care. I worked for forty years as an RN at a general hospital; the last twenty of which were in the Continuing Care department. Part of my duties involved interacting with Skilled Nursing Facilities. I can say that based upon my experience, Village Green of Bristol is an exceptional health care provider. My sister was treated with kindness and respect. The staff was always attentive and available to consult with us when we had questions. During the COVID outbreak my family was concerned as many nursing homes experienced outbreaks. My sister did not get COVID and I believe that Village Green did an outstanding job of protecting their residents. Positive experience: Although the facility could use a deep cleaning, new furniture and equipment, the nursing care was exemplary. Nurses Veronica, Emanuel and Nahgi were attentive and kind to my dad. CNA Kim and Lisa worked tirelessly. Anne and Peter from Physical therapy worked well within my dads limitations and were very patient with him. Weekend staffing shortages were noticeable as call bells answered longer than usual. Meals were served promptly and always hot. I felt it was difficult for staff to meet patient individual needs during meal hour. This most likely due to staffing shortages.
