Inside Out Strength and Performance: Reviews

Fantastic experience: When it comes to physical therapy, you get what you pay for. Insurance providers have never given me the one to one treatment I've needed for things and with Dave, I get knowledgable instruction with motivation to heal the injury. After 6 weeks, I'm back to doing everything I've done before.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Inside Out Strength and Performance was great, and very well worth it! I am a runner and I came to them for help with various issues related to my back, hips, and knees. As we all know running takes a toll on our body, but Dr. Dave was able to assign various exercises to help strengthen these areas to avoid injuries and help me get back to running.

Fantastic experience: After suffering from a torn Achilles, I hired the Inside Out team to help me get back to Olympic lifting and running at full strength. Within 1 year of the injury I am back to doing the things I love. Working with this team my rehab was more successful than I could have hoped.

Fantastic experience: Inside Out has been such an amazing resource during my knee surgery recovery. As an athlete with a complicated knee surgery, I was concerned that I would have a hard time finding a PT that understood my goals with returning to fitness and running, and that I wouldnt have a clear path to my goals. The Inside Out team has made the tough recovery process enjoyable, easy to understand, and I am stronger today that I was pre-injury. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a knowledgeable knee PT, especially to anyone focused on returning to physical activity.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Lindsey and she was absolutely wonderful! She really took the time to not just learn about my running injury, but also me as a person which was just above and beyond what I expected. Highly recommend for runners wanting to heal and get stronger!

Fantastic experience: I originally went to IOS for help with a sore hip. And ended up continuing on and working on more functional improvements because I found it so helpful. I started with Lindsay and then with JP. Everyone at inside Out is terrific! They’re all very good at what they do, conscientiousness as well as motivating. I’m a healthier I happier human for having been in their care.

Fantastic experience: I have worked with Dr. Dave, Lindsey, JP and cannot thank them enough! I suffered from hamstring issues for 4+ years and tried physical therapy through my health care provider in the past, but did not get the results. Then I was referred by a family member who spoke highly of Inside Out. Since my first day at Inside Out, the PTs have always been welcoming and attentive in hearing my story and my goals. They immediately discovered my issue and customized a one-on-one training program that fit around my progress and my schedule. Their immense knowledge, motivation, and positivity is the reason I am now 100% recovered and back to living an active lifestyle and playing sports. I am even stronger than I was pre-injury. I am grateful for my experience here and highly recommend Inside Out.

Fantastic experience: Prior to coming to Inside Out, I had dealt with my right shoulder pain for over 10 years. This pain kept me from enjoying activities such as surfing, Olympic lifting, and gymnastics (handstands, pull-ups, etc.). I had tried every other type of treatment - ART, MAT, other physical therapy, rest, medication, pushing through, massage, and chiropractic care. Also, foam rolling, theraguns, topicals, lacrosse balls...the list is endless. These treatments never gave long-lasting relief or results. Once I saw the ad for Inside Out, something felt different and I called and was in to see JP the next week. The experience during my sessions was amazing. JP really focused his treatments towards my lifting goals and truly listened to what I was needing, even the unspoken needs! In 6 sessions, my shoulder had almost NO pain or sensation doing things that previously I couldn't do. He baseline tested me and re-assessed and the improvements were significant! If you're even slightly considering seeking help for pain or an injury, Inside Out should absolutely be your top choice. Everyone there is top-notch, friendly, and professional. Call them TODAY!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best PT i have ever seen. Dave is a magician, i have had many shoulder surgeries over the years and tried everything from PRP, Stem Cell, Peptides etc to fix my shoulder pain. I decided to see Dave and give it a shot as this was really the only option i have exhausted. in six weeks am pain free and already ramping up my exercises getting back to what i was doing before my pain. He said as long as i keep up with my exercises ill continue to see improvement. I am grateful and appreciative in the time and effort he has made. I could not recommend him more for any issues you are dealing with. I will be seeing him shortly for my lumbar back pain i am dealing with next.

Fantastic experience: I have been working with Lindsey at Inside Out Strength and Performance for the past several months and have had spectacular results. I originally decided to seek out help for Stress Incontinence, that I have been experiencing since giving birth years ago. Lindsey was able to prescribe some simple exercises that have helped immensely. I am so relieved, knowing that I don't have to "deal with it," like I have been doing for years. In addition, I have a lifelong history of hip problems related to a condition from birth, and had a hip replacement 15 years ago. Lindsey was able to assess my movement for muscle imbalances and compensations, and give me mobility exercises that have increased my strength and efficiency in movement. She has also helped me with symptoms of carpal tunnel and plantar fasciitis. Everyone needs their own physical therapist! My husband also visits Lindsey to help him prepare to achieve his goal of climbing Mount Whitney. We are so grateful for Lindsey's expertise and believe that investing in our health will benefit us for years to come!

Fantastic experience: I needed help after a prolonged illness getting back my strength. JP was able to help me with low-impact exercises that built me back up and let me get into a more normal routine. I couldn't have done it without him. He was very patient and kind and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: THANK YOU Lindsey Paczkowski at Inside Out Strength and Performance for being such an awesome women’s health PT! If you have ever wondered if you should do women’s health physical therapy, then the answer is probably yes. There is true power in the combination of education and exercise. As a PT, it initially irritated me to seek out something I should already have. But I don’t actually have expertise in this specialty, or the time and energy to get it. I had failed at “treating myself” after my first baby and here I was after my second. This was an investment that I had to make. Working with Lindsey over the past year (yes we spent a whole year, working at my super slow mom pace) has been wonderful. Lindsey was a great PT before her own journey into motherhood. But there are things about pregnancy and postpartum for which experience has no substitute. Now that she is living it firsthand, she is even better equipped to help women in so many important ways.

Fantastic experience: A pinched nerve in my back was causing pain, numbness and tingling on the front of my left leg. This was causing issues with walking, sleeping and other normal life activities such as riding my road bicycle. My medical doctor prescribed steroids and muscle relaxers which helped a little, temporarily. Chiropractic adjustments brought some relief but I needed more. My son, who is a Personal Training Manager, recommended Inside Out Strength & Performance to me. Years ago I had gone to physical therapy elsewhere, after shoulder surgery, and it always felt busy, crowded and lacking personal engagement. I decided to try an Inside Out Discovery Visit (free) and was immediately impressed with the facility, Office Manager Nicole and Dr. JP Murcia. Dr. JP listened to my concerns, did an evaluation, and came up with a plan to get me back to normal activities. It was always one on one visits, always a learning experience and always an engaging, enjoyable time. I am so encouraged by the lessening of pain and the return of strength to my left leg, and to be back on my bicycle! Thank you Dr. JP!

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to see Dr Dave at Inside Out in the summer of 2019. I had two sore knees and two ultra marathons (Sept & Oct) I had signed up for. I was pretty doubtful I’d be able to run them, but with a few exercises and sessions my knees felt much better. Then with continued strengthening I was able to finish both Noble Canyon 50k and Javelina 100K. I have continued to see Dr Dave, Dr Lindsey and now currently JP. Their PT and entire body wellness program keeps me running pain free!

Fantastic experience: I had an incredible experience with Inside Out! I had been having low back pain for months and months and was so sick of it! I finally made an appointment with Lindsey, and even though it was a virtual appointment she saw everything I need to work on! she really helped me hone in on good exercises that I can do each day to strengthen my muscles and relieve back pain, strengthen my muscles and pelvic floor. The coolest thing about it is that it works! It wasn’t long before my back started feeling much better and now I am equipped with the right tools to keep my back strong and healthy. Lindsey and Dave have incredible insight and knowledge in this area, and I trust them completely! They are the kindest people and really care about and are very good at helping others . Lindsey also really helped me learn how to keep my back safe in every day activities like lifting my baby out of his crib. I am incredibly grateful and I wouldn’t hesitate to make another appointment. If you were on the fence, do yourself a favor and just call them! You will be very thankful!

Fantastic experience: R3 was such a great program! I just had my first baby and the R3 program was a perfect way to recover, restore, and rebuild my movement during the fourth trimester. Dr. Lindsey Paczkowski makes a personalized healing movement and exercise plan for you. It was extremely beneficial having weekly breathing and movement exercises to regain strength and do appropriate exercises after having a baby. I also loved trying the comforting recipes throughout the program. Her postpartum knowledge, encouragement, and availability helped make my transition into motherhood a success! I would definitely recommend this program for first time and any moms out there! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: By all appearances, I am not a traditional Inside Out client. At age 60, I was considered morbidly obese, and could not walk any distance without back pain, knee pain, and shortness of breath. I wanted to enjoy life with my active family, so I began my fitness journey 11 months ago. After losing 30 pounds, I was ready to take the next step to wellness, and reached out to Lindsey for performance training. Through all remote sessions, Lindsey was able to determine the cause of my back and knee pain, and developed a fitness program that is flexible and allows me to continue to improve my fitness levels. I walk 2 miles and follow my fitness program daily, and am now able to walk a 15 minute mile. I’ve also lost a total of 50 pounds, aided by my increased activity level. I continue to work with Lindsey remotely, and am so thankful for her help in getting my life back.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lindsey’s R3 program was a great fit for my first 6 week postpartum with my third child. I knew I need something encouraging and motivating but straight to the point (two older kids and a newborn—self-care time is precious). Her weekly emails provided helpful tips and reminders on postpartum recovery with a weekly progression plan of exercises (with videos to confirm I was doing it correctly) plus some additional self-care tips and healthy recipes. It was a great motivator to getting me get back to my prior active lifestyle.

Fantastic experience: The best, and well worth the time and money. After one visit my back was already feeling more athletic. I'm confident Dave has put together a program that will continue helping me improve my back and shoulder strength, which are weak from years of working behind a keyboard. Dave & Lindsey are also just great people to be around.

Fantastic experience: I came to Inside Out on the recommendation of a family member. I, like many, took up running at the beginning of the pandemic. I was experiencing pain in my post-tibial tendon and wasn't sure how to handle it, and it got to the point where I couldn't jog more than 15 minutes / 1.5 miles without pain. I did the two month resilient running program, and by the end I was back up to 4.5 miles! The program was truly designed around me and my schedule, and Dave and Lindsey were always just a message away if I had any questions. Also, this was all done remotely as I live on the east coast.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lindsey’s R3 program was such a gift during the first 6 weeks postpartum. I looked forward to checking my inbox Sunday mornings to find the sweetest words of encouragement and inspiration! From practical workouts to yummy recipes, she provides a wealth of information in an easy-to-digest format. I learned so much about postpartum care and came away with advice that I could implement right away to promote healthy recovery. Dr. Lindsey showed me the importance of taking the time to care for my body during the fourth trimester and equipped me with the strategies I needed to rebuild strength as a new mom. This is information every mom NEEDS but rarely gets. I’m so thankful for Dr. Lindsey’s wisdom and expertise—I wholeheartedly recommend her!

Fantastic experience: I will be turning 40 years old this summer. Growing up in Leucadia, I have always lived an active lifestyle of surfing, playing volleyball, SUPing, swimming, outrigger canoeing, and running. I never ‘really’ had to pay much attention to my body. It always just seemed to work. As I approached my 4th decade, I was abruptly alerted that things are different now. I didn’t sustain a traumatic injury. With the stay-at-home restrictions placed in March, and, in combination with having two young daughters, my workouts existed solely at home. I engaged in CrossFit style workouts everyday. I was feeling great... until I slept on my shoulder the wrong way. Yeah. I slept on it. After one full week of constant pain and an immobilized shoulder, I went to my GP and got a checkup. I was diagnosed with a shoulder impingement. It seemed small, but had a huge impact the ability to use my entire arm. I tried ice, capsaicin rubs, rest, cryotherapy, and nothing was working. I knew I needed physical therapy. A friend of mine recommended Inside Out Strength and Performance. After an initial consultation with Dave, I was in the studio one-on-one with Lindsey. Their expertise was apparent after a very short amount of time. The process to isolate and identify the weak muscles in my shoulder was methodical, timely, and incredibly accurate. The process to strengthen those weak muscles began as a user-friendly routine of basic motions. Lindsey showed me which muscle group each motion activated, and explained why it will have the desired impact on my shoulder. It was simultaneously an education of how my muscles work as well as isolated strength training. It was also made very clear that recovery doesn’t just exist in the studio. She gave me printed worksheets of muscle activation to practice as homework, as well as coping mechanisms to offset all the hours spent working at home from a computer. After a few weeks of recovery, I was eager to begin more strength training. At my request, my sessions evolved into part recovery and part full-blown workout. I had been missing rigorous and challenging workouts and Lindsey certainly gave me a dose of demanding metabolic conditioning sessions. I now have such a more comprehensive view of my body and muscle structure. I realize how small repetitive actions can have an immense impact on muscle mobility and strength. It will be impossible to forget the care given during my Inside Out Strength Performance sessions. It’s a domino effect of small decisions that eventually lead to huge results. I give my highest recommendation to anyone who wishes to heal, educate, and strengthen his/her daily life. Sincerely, Tim

Fantastic experience: I found Inside Out Strength and Performance through a recommendation from a friend/ultra runner and decided to see them after experiencing months of persistent and then worsening pain in my heel. I didn't have any experience with physical therapy so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I had experienced two previous run related injuries; swelling in the knee and a sprained ankle but beyond taking time off from running I never sought out treatment. The consultation session and follow up sessions with Dave made a huge difference starting in a short amount of time. My mobility has improved and my weaker left leg has already become stronger, plus the pain is gone. I've already noticed a difference in my training for my next 50 mile run. If you're on the fence about physical therapy, it is well worth it for improving performance and eliminating pain. Dave and Lindsey are both excellent at working with clients and helping them achieve their goals.

Fantastic experience: There are no words to express how unbelievable Dr. Lindsey and Inside Out Strength and Performance are and how much of an impact they had on my life. As someone who started their exercise journey after 40, I was afraid to start running and pushing my limits, and I did get a minor injury that I thought would derail my dream of running a 50k. A month and a half before my big race, I thought it was over. Then, I found Dr. Lindsey and she gave me a plan to strengthen my muscles and mind and despite not running for over a month before my race, I completed it pain free and with no soreness. I am stronger now then I ever thought possible and can truly commit to my health and well-being to stay strong through my old age! Thank you so much Dr. Lindsey for this gift. I strongly recommend Inside Out Strength and Performance to anyone who is already in great shape and for those just starting. Learning the proper movements and what muscles are needed for certain activities is a game changer!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lindsey’s R3 program was fantastic! As a first time mom it was so helpful having a healthcare professional guide me in my postpartum journey physically & mentally. Its a program that is quick and easy to follow. I definitely looked forward to the weekly emails for a boost of motivation & insight! She provided focused exercises, awesome recipes, and amazing support! She clearly explained the changes your body goes through during postpartum and how to recover, restore, & rebuild it. Lindsey really shows great interest, compassion, and devotion to her patients and I can’t recommend her program and services enough!

Fantastic experience: I needed to gain strength and stamina back after an 18 week chemo treatment. Dr. Paczkowski gave me a routine that was extremely doable and not over taxing. I was amazed how the exercises she gave me were gentle yet very effective! I am diligent about following her routine and after 3 months, I am definitely stronger and have more energy! Her knowledge of the human body and how it works and what I specifically needed is amazing!! I continue to get endurance, muscle definition and a sense of well-being!

Fantastic experience: Since the birth of my second son two years ago I have been having lower back issues that come and go. I had tried stretching, mobility exercises, massage, and two visits to the chiropractor. It would get so bad sometimes I thought I was going to drop my son into his crib since I couldn’t bend down far enough to place him on the mattress without being in terrible pain. I have always been a very active person, and for over a year I was fighting through it hoping it would just go away. My husband had been seen by Dave for a shoulder issue (which has since completely resolved) so I called and made an appointment, hesitant as to whether or not they could help me too. I was completely wrong. Lindsey completed her evaluation, and tailored exercises and stretches to my pain and ability. In the first week I could feel a difference, and during each visit we would discuss any activity or motion that would make my back hurt more, and again exercises were assigned for me to complete at home. She also gave exercises to help improve my core to surf, and modified stretches I can do while I am at work without a place to stretch on the floor (being that I work in a hospital). During our conversations I also brought up personal issues with my pelvic floor, which she also has an incredible amount of knowledge about! I finally feel like I am in control of issues I didn’t ever think were going to resolve without surgical intervention. I have had an amazing experience with Lindsey, she has listened to me and my body, and has helped me become stronger in ways I do not think I could have done on my own. My husband and I also completed Dave’s home workout program which had an awesome combination of mobility, strength, and recovery exercises. We looked forward to doing them every day. Our joke while we were catching our breath would be to tell each other- Thanks Dave (sarcastically, but we really meant it). On behalf of my husband and myself, we thank you so much for everything you have done, and everything that you have given us to keep moving towards our goals.

Fantastic experience: I met Dr. Lindsey during a free event to go over postpartum health. I went to support my friend who was learning to be a postpartum doula and walked out realizing my pain and incontinence after labor were NOT normal. I immediately set up an appointment with Dr. Lindsey to learn what exactly pelvic floor health was all about. I had not only been struggling with tailbone pain since a high school injury, but re-injured it during labor as well as many other pelvic floor issues. After a few months, I was able to lay flat on my back, which I had not been able to do in over 10 years, as well as jog 3 miles without pain or leaking! I was in such shock that I cried happy tears after having the realization that my “old normal” was back. I highly recommend Lindsey and Dave at Inside Out Strength and Performance!

Fantastic experience: Dave and Lindsey are great. I'm not a crazy athlete, but I work out to stay in shape, so I can take advantage of all the adventures San Diego has to offer. Lindsey and Dave understand that people need to stay active to stay healthy and make sure everyone can continue being so. They are great mental and physical support during set backs and long recoveries. I was first treated for knee and hip issues. I walked away from my sessions with tools that I can continue to use each time my muscles start to slack. I have also been trough some serious surgeries that left me with weak abdomen, and split abs. Lindsey has been nothing but amazing guiding me through the grueling recovery.

Fantastic experience: I started working out with Dr. Lindsey for chronic hip pains and I have continued to see her even though have been able to not only put that behind me. I feel stronger and better than I have in ages! I feel like they really care about my well being and I highly recommend going here!

Fantastic experience: Dave is a fantastic PT. He not only actively listens to the issues you're dealing with, but also digs deep into the root cause of the issue. By doing so he helps build a strong foundation for not only recovery, but puts a plan in place to prevent the reoccurrence of your injury as you move forward. Highly recommended, super flexible and committed to your health and well being

Fantastic experience: I initially came to Dave several months ago with uncertainty about something that was going on in my right leg. He did some exercises with me, and at one point referred me to an Orthopedic specialist in Encinitas. After two X rays and two MRIs, the source of my leg pain was found to be a femoral stress fracture. After doing the required non-weight bearing period, I went back to Dave for 12 sessions of PT. I enjoyed them so much that I signed up for another 12 sessions afterwards, because I feel like Dave not only helped me recover with my femur, and strengthened many different parts of my leg, hip, abs, etc. but he also was very thorough, sent wonderful videos so that I could really work on my own at home and come back with significant progress for the next session, and I really felt like he genuinely cared about me as a person too. I'm now 5 or so sessions into my next 12 and constantly getting stronger, growing in my endurance and strength capacities, along with also my nutrition now thanks to Lindsey. My second 12 sessions came with a free month of nutrition coaching with Lindsey, and that has been wonderful too! I've started to cook legit meals, think a lot more about what I'm eating, and felt very taken care of with how well Lindsey checks in and communicates, helping me to achieve my nutrition goals that we set. All in all, I highly recommend both Dave and Lindsey, and everything they offer, whether it's recovery from an injury, strength/endurance training, or nutrition coaching. They are amazing at what they do, and genuinely heartwarming people!

Fantastic experience: I and three of my kids have been to see Dave at InsideOutStrength for a range of sports-related injuries to knees, ankles, hips, shoulders, and back issues. In the course of working with him, the issues have been resolved to eliminate pain and return all of us to our athletic pursuits. In our visits he has identified the route causes of our issues, provided programs to resolve the current issues, and then worked with us beyond that to prevent problems in the future. His understanding of the specific demands of sports such as crossfit, weightlifting, football, basketball, and soccer in our situation, as well as the needs of an injured athlete (and the very impatient mindset that comes with us) sets him apart from other professionals I've visited, including the orthopedic doctors, chiropractors, PT's, and trainers. Our first visit to Dave was approximately 18 months ago, and in hindsight we probably should have started sooner. Since he's out-of-network with our insurance, I did try to get assistance from others that were covered, but often times the progress was slow or didn't get us where we wanted to be. Eventually I realized that the investment in a certain number of visits with IOS cost roughly the same as 4-5 times that many visits and co-pays with someone else. Overall, I greatly appreciate the work Dave has done for me and my family so that we can continue to compete in the activities we enjoy. I think his focus on athletes is a real difference maker, and ultimately gets the issues resolved faster for approximately the same cost anyway. I recommend Dave for any athletic pre/re-hab needs, especially for those that are willing to consistently work the customized programs he provides. Thanks Dave and team!

Fantastic experience: I have come to Inside Outside Strength and Performance with multiple injuries including back pain, knee pain, and shoulder pain. When I first booked my appointment, I felt extremely welcomed and cared for throughout my visit. On my journey to recovery, I felt down in the dumps because I wanted to get back to competitive CrossFit, but IOStrength and Performance was there every step of the way to help through all of it. Now that I have recovered from my injuries, I visit every so often to work on prehab for injuries and I am so thankful to have their support on my CrossFit journey. I’m extremely glad to work with IOStrength and Performance because they do great work and care for each of their patients.

Fantastic experience: I was dealing with pretty substantial bursitis in my knee and wanted to get back to exercising. I'm a regular Crossfitter and runner and was missing the workouts! I had waited 2 months hoping the swelling would decrease, but it wasn't getting any better. Dave must have the magic because as soon as I started working with him, the swelling started to decrease. Inside Out was a great place to be. Not only is the location great - right off Avenida Encinas in Carlsbad, but the personal attention by Dave and his staff was top notch. Everything was customized and we accomplished a ton within the time. Just go see Dave and it'll be so worth it!

Fantastic experience: Dave is a true professional, and has helped me so much physically & mentally in only 6 sessions! He is very knowledgeable and practical, which is the best of both worlds for someone like me who has herniated discs, but still wants to live as active of a life as I can. The first time I went to Dave I was at a low point with my injury, but after seeing quick progress with my hinge and ability to lift weights, it gave me a second wind! Before seeing Dave I had built up mental blocks in my head that prevented me from driving often or seeing friends. Dave was a voice of reason and helped me move past those blocks. I would 100% recommend him to anyone!!

Fantastic experience: If you want quality physical therapy in a great environment, theres no better place. I came here to work on helping my recurring hip pain after being dissatisfied with the care I got from hospital physical therapy. I quickly realized I was in good hands. Dave is a great dude, super focused on helping his patients and genuinely wants them to get better. I had a surgery to address my hip problems and again I started working with Dave again, and after a few months of physical therapy, he helped me fully regain my strength and address and strengthen weaknesses I didn't even know I had. Check this place out if you have any nagging pains or are in need of rehab. Dave is extremely knowledgeable and a super cool dude overall. 5/5 stars

Fantastic experience: Like many athletes, I managed pain and imbalance for YEARS before coming to Inside Out Strength and Performance. That's how long it took for me to come to my senses and I'm writing this to say that it doesn't (honestly, shouldn't) take that long for anyone to get out of their box of limitations. I am training for my first 100-mile race and this is because I have a renewed confidence in my body, specifically in its deep foundational strength. It's a confidence that I found quickly after starting to work with Dr. Dave. My gains were fast. This is a combo of my unrelenting discipline and Dave's commitment to addressing the source, not the symptoms. I am putting mileage on a "new" body, I am running with "new" muscles and I am 99.9% less reliant on self-care tools that always left me feeling better but only for now. I use them as a complement, not as a solution. Working with IO Strength and Performance gave me the tools to change my running, my body and my life. I am excited about the first few steps and the tens of thousands that follow each day. Without the guidance of Dr. Dave, I'd still be managing the pain of my symptoms instead of thriving in my new found strength and stability. Forever Grateful.

Fantastic experience: I have been working with Dave for over two years now. I am an ultra runner, and have had multiple ankle twists in 2018 and 2019, that is what brought me to Dave originally. I completed a 10 week PT course before my first 100K in 2019, and haven’t twisted my ankle in a long time now - working on improving ankle mobility as well as feet, knee and core stability has been a huge difference. This year I have been struggling with knee pain (runners knee) and am on week 6 of a 10 week program. As of today, knee pain has gone from a 7 to about a 2 on a scale 0-10. Physical therapy requires patience, but creates long lasting results - so you can continue to be an athlete you strive to be.

Fantastic experience: As a competitive endurance athlete I started to feel sensation in my left glute area that extended into my back and sometimes down my leg. I'd been having this for quite some time, and after one my triathlon races I had just about had enough with the attempts I made to fix the problem. I needed to ask for help. I was fit, strong and capable of racing faster, but this particular area of my body was not allowing me to showcase the full spectrum of fitness I had accumulated in training. So I looked to Dave the week before my next 70.3 race to get his perspective on what was the root of my pain, and how I can begin to address it. Being race week, it was an opportunity for me to decide what was more important - building back strength and mobility or continuing to try and work through the sensation. I had tried time off, foam rolling and other strength work in the gym. But what is great about working with Inside Out is that you get to the root of the problem and you start from the basics. Which for most of us endurance athletes, we just want to train long and longer because that's what we believe to be the key to the success. However, taking a step, or even a few steps back to build up your foundational structure is truly what I needed to continue racing and crushing it well into my late 40's and soon to be 50's. If you are looking for someone to find what works best for YOUR unique situation and to help guide you along the progression of exercises to make your stronger and more durable, than give Dave at Inside Out a try. Have a conversation. See if you are good match. I think you'll find that a whole new world of body awareness will open for you, like it did for me.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best PT experience I have ever had, and as an ultrarunner I’ve had a lot! Dave is patient, takes his time to listen to you and then equips you with the tools you need both to recover and prevent reoccurrence of the issues. I had been dealing with a reoccurring running injury for a couple of years before coming to IOS&P. Since I’ve worked with Dave, I can happily say that I am able to stay on top of it and prevent it from reoccurring. I HIGHLY recommend Inside Out Strength and Performance to all athletes or anyone needing PT!

Fantastic experience: Dave is one of the most knowledgeable PTs I’ve ever worked with and at my age I’ve worked with quite a few! He gave me some exercises to do at home and I saw a huge improvement in my mobility. This has allowed me to have my shoulder in better positions and I’ve not had any trouble with the bone spur and bicep tear that were a major injury last year. He really knows his stuff. Would recommend to anyone. Follow him on the gram too, his content is spot on!!

Fantastic experience: Dave was the answer I had been looking for after dealing with patellar tendonitis for over a year. His blend of customized stretching and strengthening routines addressed the issue from an angle others had not proposed and it proved to be effective almost immediately. He was flexible on appointment times and went out of his way to meet early in the morning with me before work. I appreciated that he was not looking to plug me into a recurring business model and get me to come see him every day, but was genuinely looking to help me adjust my routine and work within the confines of my work and travel schedule. Lastly, I started following him on instagram (@iostrengthperformance) and his posts helped me introduce fun variety in my workouts that have pushed me past some plateaus. Not only that but one week after lifting too heavy on a particular lift I was feeling shoulder pain I was worried was going to cost me, but one of his live streams perfectly addressed the shoulder nerve impingement with easy exercises and the pain went away within the following week.

Fantastic experience: I started going to IOSP with the recommendation from my trainer and other friends who had seen him. I also attended a health fair that he participated in and was impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, and kindness. The location is right off the Interstate 5 and super easy to get to. You could even take the coaster as the station is right there! I started having knee pain after running a Ragnar trail race. It would not go away and was really limiting my running and other workouts. I couldn’t run more than a mile without severe pain and front and back lunges were a no go. Dave taught me that it was my IT band and we worked on various exercises and stretches to address that issue. I am up to five miles and weighted lunges with no pain! I definitely recommend Dave and will continue to see him at least once a month (including before my half in February).

Fantastic experience: After years of just treating symptoms of various problems caused regularly by training, I decided to give Dave a try. I had a problem with my right shoulder during pulling and pushing movements and holding a front rack position with the barbell. So rather than treat the symptom like going to an ART/Graston/Chiropractic specialist (these people are still useful by the way), I decided to do preventative maintenance this time under the watchful eye of Dave. He was able to pick apart and diagnose how my body naturally compensated for partial range of motion movements that I could not pickup on my own. Dave ran a battery of tests and ask questions to filter out regular soreness due to workouts/training vs soreness from compensating. He prescribed some homework in easy to follow steps and even offered to record video on how to do them correctly so that I have a movement standard to follow. After just 7 days of doing my homework twice a day, my right shoulder reverted back to its natural position.

Fantastic experience: I can not thank Dr Dave enough for the help he gave me to run pain free and help me complete my crazy dream of running a 100 mile race. I was having some foot pain about 3 weeks out from my goal race and did not want to take any chance and found Dave. He put me on a mobility exercise plan, checked in regularly and genuinely cared about my well being and helped me accomplish my goals. If you are running in pain give Dr Dave a try, he got me back to pain free running.

Fantastic experience: Dave is awesome. He takes the time to understand how you train, what your goals are, and how he can help you meet them. I have done both physical therapy for an injury and personal training with him and had great experiences in both. He is knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and the results speak for themselves. I would highly recommend inside out strength to anyone looking for personal training or physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: Dave has been my trainer for the last few months and I am LOVING IT! He gives me focused and individual training, caters the training to my personal goals, and most importantly he genuinely cares about my well-being. He has been accommodating with my crazy schedule and if i have questions he makes himself available to answer them. I am much stronger in the short few months we have been working together and he is helping me get rid of my persistent shoulder pain. Check him out and you will be glad you did!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Dave has been a huge mentor for me and someone i look up to most as a future physical therapist. Its tough to find PTs that actually practice what they preach, but i can guarantee dave will get to your fitness and rehab goals because he has the experience and is always expanding his knowledge! Also his workouts are super fun and challenging. Go see this man to optimize your movement potential
