St. John Rehabilitation Hospital, affiliate of Encompass Health

Fantastic experience: The staff of nurses, PT's, OT's and aides were very nice amd attentive. My only complaint was the food which I would rate as a "1" if I was rating it by itself. After being at St. Francis where they have excellant food it was a disappointment. You need to eat when you are healing. The food needs addressed. I am sure I probably lost around 10 pounds while I was there. Most everything tasted like green peppers and onions. The deli food food in any grocery store was better than the food at St John's. It really needs addressed. Hospital food doesn't have to taste bad.

Fantastic experience: Stayed ten days after surgery for a broken femur. Therapists were great, caring, made me feel confident to go home. Nurses and nurse techs and social workers were also very positive, helpful, and attentive. The staff went out of their way to make sure I was well cared for. Also very nice facilities with warm, pleasant rooms and pretty garden area.
