Fantastic experience: From Case managers to BHT’s staff was accommodating and considerate of all my things. Issues were resolved at a promptly manner. I found myself here.

Fantastic experience: I completed the 30-day program in Denver that included detox and residency. I was terrified to start this program, but I was treated with the utmost respect and kindness from the second I arrived. Every rehab has restrictions on what objects you can have (largely for safety and confidentiality reasons), but they are very careful while inspecting your luggage and will tell you exactly what they removed from it if you ask (which they keep safe in a locked room, and nothing disappears). There are staff members present in the house 24/7, and they are very kind, attentive, and understanding when you need help with something or just need to talk to someone if you're feeling down. There are also fantastic licensed therapists that you can meet with and case workers who work their butts off to get to every resident who requests help for work-, finance-, or family-related stuff that needs to be handled during their stay. The staff completely understands how physically uncomfortable the detox process is and do everything they can to make you more comfortable. If you have any complaints about another resident or something else at the house, they take the complaint seriously and look for a solution as quickly as they can. The houses I stayed in had a very home-like feel, and there are beautiful backyards that you can hang out in. Rather than being in big, gloomy, hospital-like buildings, you will be in large, friendly-looking houses with some offices in the back. Most of the group therapy/discussion sessions were held in the living room, so we got to sit on sofas and bean bag chairs while we talked and listened to each other. You will learn about all kinds of healthy coping mechanisms, how to handle triggering situations, how to handle anxiety and stress, etc. The daily scedule is fairly consistent, and you have free time each day to watch tv/movies, color in coloring books, read, play board games and card games, maybe do some word searches, crosswords, and sudoku, or hang out in the yard to exercise, stargaze, and smoke. If you are as technology-dependent as I am, then you might also feel frustration and impatience when you can't text all your buddies and do stuff on your phone, but that will happen at any rehab you go to. I tend to be a very pessimistic and easily-bored person, but this facility is the best place to be for someone like me who is terrible at keeping themselves occupied. Also, there will be regular outings to a rec center and grocery stores/gas stations, and you usually do something fun on Saturdays like going to the mall or movie theater or visiting Garden of the Gods. This review might sound like I'm sucking up or something, and I certainly won't pretend that it's all fun and games (because we all know that giving up an addiction can be difficult and emotional, and it requires you to work on yourself as a person). If you push through those first days of detox (which the nursing staff is very helpful with), then it will keep getting easier after that, so don't give up or go home. The staff at the Denver location will support you through every step of the process, so you will never be alone in this. Although I don't feel like I will relapse, I WILL go back there if I ever do relapse in the future.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't be happier with my experience at DRC. The staff was very helpful, especially when I first arrived. I stayed a total of 8 weeks (30 days in patient and 4 weeks of IOP), I left the program with a great plan for recovery and all the tools needed to stay sober. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I was very hesitant about checking myself into treatment (1st timer), but my experience at Zinnia/DRC was beyond what I imagined. The staff and clients made me feel welcome from the second I walked In the door at my lowest. I’m actually going to miss the program and people that I’ve met throughout my time in the program. Also, I now feel like I have the tools to maintain my new found found sobriety, it’s just up to me to do the work.

Fantastic experience: This place saved my life. I couldn't get off drugs on my own. I can't thank the staff enough for everything they did for me here. The therapsists are amazing and they are truly great at getting to the root of the trauma. They made me realize I'm not alone in this world as an addict. They helped me realize I have a lot of trauma I need to talk about when I get home. The case managers are very helpful in getting resources set up when I get home as well... Which I truly appreciate. Thank you to everyone at Zinnia for saving my life!!!!
